DEATH IS NOT A PUNISHMENT FOR SIN - its a compulsory end.

GOOD PEOPLE AND BAD PEOPLE DIE
YOUNG PEOPLE, OLD PEOPLE AND EVEN BABIES DIE.

EVERYHING CREATED HAS ITS APPOINTED TERM. and how one dies really does not matter.

so while we are encouraged to honour the dead nd pray for them, we should remember that its from God we came nd to God we all will return.

AND WE SHOULD PRAY THAT OUR TIME SHOLD BE WHEN IT IS BEST FOR US(so we can benefit from his grace/mercy).

If truely we have been designed to die with a time to die. Then, i will say that those who say God is wicked for killing are wrong (it was the design) also since all killing are by God(he gives and takes life) - should a boko haram guy be "killed" cos he "killed" someone or he should be killed so as to re-establish in peoples mind that it is a bad act to think of killing/terrorise for people to abstain from such action... the later makes more sense.

can you imagine if everyone from Adam are not dead(if they never die)..(wow), would the habitable area on earth be overpopulated by now (i never really thought of this before) but now that i think of it, i will ask if dying is Gods way of population control - die so others will live?

Christians do not have information on the different positions "a little after Jesus left" and why. my friend, you need to know that God never stoped watching man. so if truely the Quran is by God, then the answer to your Question is known. i think if you really care to know, you will seek for reason to believe the Quran is from God (1 of the reasons i believe it is from God is that it has history you cant find anywhere else - story of Abraham, Adam, Moses...).

i think most people who make noise about dying just refuse to understand life. people have terminal disease they know nothin about, day(s)/month(s) old babies die, people slump and die while some live, people kill people, accident happens..... the list could go on and on. but the important thing is people die. it has been happening and it seems there is nothin man can do about it. it looks like an order of life that cannot be changed. Though it is painful to loose a loved one, it appears its just the life we have to live..... this i think is the reason why when pple die, it really doesnt take long to forget them.

If there truely is a God who knows all things, it means he knows when we all will die, it means that if mr. A kills mr. B, God knew mr. B will die at that time from inception such that in the real sense, we cannot say mr. A killed mr. B (...seems confusing) but that mr. A intends to kill mr. B with the knowledge that only God kills.... this is the reason why some who understand forgives the "killer"- he is not really the killer but not a good person either cos he intends to kill.
according to islamic teachings,"...God did not promise anyone that he will grow old nor that he will not die young" there is different time for us all.

is death an end or a means to an end? as i wont want to take a religious stand yet, we can have an anology - "you leave your home in the morning for a mission knowing fully well that due to traffic on LAGOS ROAD, time to get home is not known. it became worse that you forget your reason for leaving home(lol) and you really do not have opportunity to come around again. What is next thing to do as you really can get home anytime? - i believe what to do is to establish why i left home, with conrete evidence and ensure my mission is accomplished. All in good time.

note: people will find a way home in traffic through different route, similarly, how people die is really not relevant but that we all will die (and give a report of our mission)

my Query is, if a person intends to kill another and does the act and his target person died, who killed the dead person? My belief is only God gives and takes life.

if 2 people are shot at same spot of the head, 1 dies and the other survives, who killed the one that died and why did the other survive? my belief is the dead was destined to die at that time and the "acclaimed" killer was a bad, unfortunate person who got his hand soiled with someones death.

While some may want to argue against the above for self-known reason, who ever kills for unjust reason aught to be killed. if it is an accident, that is a different case but to maintain peace/justice/orderliness in a state, if anyone kills (especially without remorse and boasts about it) unjustly, it is fairness to kill such person in return and the later killing is a just one if it is validated by the authority...(God knows best.......lol)

That is a command to Muslims from the Quran. What is the "scripture which He sent to those before him (Mohammed)"? And which are the "Books" Mohammed is referring to there. Do you believe in them as the Quran told you to?

"We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them" (3:84 AYA).

What are the books given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets? Who are the "Prophets"? Why does the Quran say "their Lord" if it is the same God?

"Those who follow the Messenger (Mohammed), the Prophet who can neither read nor write, whom they will find described in the Torah and the Gospel (which are) with them" (7:157 MP).

Which are the "Torah and the Gospel which ARE WITH THEM (Jews and Christians)" in Mohammed's time? Is it not the same Gospels according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John? If not, show me the Gospel Mohammed is talking about. Let us read it together.

What Scripture was in the possession of the Jews at the time of Mohammed?

did you not also read in the Quran that some people sold the message for a small price(worldly gain). go back to the inception of christianity, a little after"jesus left" what was the different positions and why. it will be a good study for all christians.... remember that you have just 1 life with a choice to save it.

in islam, it is clear, KNOW ALMIGHTY GOD BEFORE YOU WORSHIP HIM.... in islam, logic, thinking is essential before the faith. the reasons are clear and must be understood.

but we need to always remember that comments are peoples(scholars are human too) opinion. i have noticed in tafsir of Quran the use of " we think, believe" it is evident that it is based on the scholars understanding at that time(and the use of "think" is like a dislclaimer from my perspective). only the Quran and authentic hadith(if we can truely identify them) is flawless.
i have read the verse again and my understanding is "...Allah only wishes to remove..." it is not automatic nor was it removed, imagime it was ..."Allah (has) removd..." it could have been that way if God wills. i believe Allah wishes for all of mankind to make heaven but shaitan promised to lead man astray......we see the story of Adam.

Allah knows best. may he increase us in knowledge and guide us aright.

if closest translation of "ruh" is spirit, it means Jesus is refered to as "spirit of Allah", is that similar to holy Ghost or what is the Question aimed at? is Jesus also the holy Ghost? if truely you have a soul, is it of God or from God are you also "ruhullah"?.
the fact is that the Quran is clear/convincing enough and an xample like "ruhullah" though it may not be understood in totality, a sincere reader will seek to know why it is used or what it means. or do the spirit of Allah need support of holy spirit again?

since you posted that Q33:33 was refering to "people of the house" including Ali excluding wives of the prophet, i lost interest. though some part of the Quran may need explanation, this is just very clear reading from earlir verses.
note that besides the Quran, and authentic hadiths, every other opinion is intuition and logic. so we listen to our leaders and think over the information. no one will bear the burden of the other.

note: its good you put tax in bracket. in an islamic nation, Zakat is compulsory for muslims (with condition)similar to TAX what about the non-muslims who choose to live in such muslim nation (they must get some benefit to want to live there i suppose), what will be their contribution?.... does Jizya not make sense-if you cannot pay why not leave such islamic nation. do you know what the punishment is for a muslim who evades Zakat?...im sure you never cared to ask.

in another words, anyone can read and understand the Quran but if you read the english version(which i read), you should understand that there is not direct/perfect translation from Arabic which is a richer language to english....e.g i saw a tread someone wrote "allah"(small a) i thought initially it should be "big A" but again, i thought that it does not change the meaning...in arabic, "allah is different from illah" but in english, allah must be big "G". this is a simple difference.

so while someone read the Quran, and a verse is not clear, ask people who know better or get books that explain it in details(with the history of why the verse came about). an example is when a friend Qouted Q2:191 for me, initially, i said it is not in the Quran cos i know it is against Islamic teachings to kill unjustly. When i went and read it, i got confused as to why, so i asked someone who knows better. he refered to the history and i understand it was about self defence. they were trying to oppress but opression can only be stopped if it is opposed (i read it too).

but unfortunately, people are just too lazy to read and to even ask has become a problem....
