MetaHuman: Its not imortal if it can be killed Then what can we call something/being if it can't be killed ? Invincible ? Inhuman ? ituglobal: Immortal Jellyfish: The Only Known Species Known to Live Forever While the humans have been looking for the elixir of life throughout every period of history, it appears that there is one species of jellyfish that are actually immortal. Turritopsis nutricula, or sometimes – Turritopsis dohrnii, is able to transform its cells from mature state back to immaturity, in other words – back to youth. The medusa leads a regular cycle of life, but after maturing and mating, it reverts back to its initial state – a polyp colony. The process is referred to as “transdifferentiation”, and it basically makes the jellyfish unable to die. The bell-shaped immortal jellyfish measures up to a maximum of bout 4.5 millimeters (0.18 in) and is about the same in its length and width. Originating in the Caribbean, it has now spread worldwide, and the discovery of its unique ability has heated up many discussions among the scientists. Some claim that their mystery is soon to be solved and applied to humans, while others only expect it to improve the quality of life at our final stages. Either way, knowing that something out there goes back and forth from being young to old to young again, blows your mind! Source: http://www.boredpanda.com/turritopsis-nutricula-immortal-jellyfish/ Neteller here: www..com.ng Some of our wise Yoruba/African ancestors in their deep metaphysical venture came up with ways to defeat, by-pass and death-skip death, so don't think the concept of immortality which is scientifically exciting to western scholar of todays world is nothing new to few of us who still comb-through those things history claimed as 'primitive' of what our fore-fathers believed-in in their bias to ridicule, demonize and denigrate our believe system. macof: before the Alaafin, nobody called on the name "Sango". It was Jakuta and the Jakuta cult was reformed by Sango
it's only in places that were under Oyo influence that have Sango. .. In Ife and eastern yoruba areas like Ilaje, it is Oramfe. The center of Sango veneration is Koso, where Sango followers founded... Oramfe is Ile-Ife
Sango is an orisa not Irunmole.. similar case with Obatala who was the leader of the Cult that came to be known with the Name "Obatala" Do you mean Oramfe is Ile-Ife or Oramfe is in Ile-Ife ? Jakuta as I understand from my past research would be classified as a 'TITAN' with divinistic attributes, who hauled boulders hence 'ja kuta' (one who fights by hauling huge boulders) has it ever crossed your mind that there must have existed enormous entities similar to the Greek ' titans' from your Ifa researches but our ancient Ifa folks has no way of translating to us in that way. I have data that points to the existence of giants or titans in ancient Yorubalands lending credence to outer-space earth-visitors theorists and writers such as Eric Von Daniken. I am beginning to agree with my hypothesis that Irunmoles are Titans and Orishas are Gods because I have researching for a long time the difference between the two. |

@ Luyeanka First of all, as I'd expected before clicking to read, you made the mistake of presenting Blood Money as Money Ritual which are entirely two different things. Secondly, your write-up which pretends to reveal "the truth" behind a complex and gargantuan subject is nothing but a bland opinion of yours that fails to informs us on something 'typically uncommon' but somehow seems exhilarating to you because you just stumbled on figuring it and decide to share it. Well, for your information, I haven't heard of the 'truncate-bleak future-to-ease-in-a-money-filled-one' MR, for I suspect this thread to be yet another another attempt to malign Yoruba believe system in general for it implores readers to pronounce the verdict you implied silently. What I know is, a child whose destiny has being revealed to be 'dire and unfortunate' can be adjusted by doing certain rites and appeasement, therefore it is so-so unrelated to 'money ritual' because 'dire and unfortunate' not only refers to said child's financial status but to the totality of his success in every other thing in his/her future e.g. fame, marriage, child-bearing, business, etc likewise could a child whose future is revealed to be 'bright' can be disturbed (not destroyed). So how do they relate to MR ? Finally, given to the catchy title of this thread one would think it would be as in-depth and gripping as the front-gracing one I wrote here The Unvarnished Truth About Money Ritual I am thinking of writing a part II because I've garnered more information ever since I wrote that, NL most times sickens me these days because of the continuous surge in olodo population that has dominated it, replacing it core system which used to sustain intelligent, analytical and educative responders with one that now promote an arena where the most wittiest, sassiest, insulting and discriminatory gladiators wrestle for First To Comment, Let-Me-Just-Post-Something-Even-If-It's-Irrelevant-To-The-Topic among several zany tournaments. dejonathan: I been having some questions about this blood money stuff.. where did the money comes from??shey na bank abi from somewhere else? if to say na bank na who dey carry am and how them dey carry am?? pls i need answers to this from does who are old enough to understand what am saying... thanks What do you want to do with answers that are way beyond your understanding, just visit the link I gave to the OP to first of all know the difference between Blood Money and Money Ritual which everyone erroneously use interchangeably. I have stated repeatedly that Sango the once Alaafin of Oyo who attained prominence for acquiring Sango-like attributes is different from the actual Sango the Irunmole who is at a level below the prime Irunmoles in the Yoruba pantheon. One was born a human who wield Sango powers while the other is a deity supernaturally unique like each one of the 401 Irunmoles, all of whom manifest-existed in dual form.
90% of folks and scholars of Yoruba cosmogony unknowingly and mistakenly tend to blend the two together and has thus given critics the opportunity to disregard Sango as no more a human deified into a God. |

Thanks to Abrahamic religions and their corresponding anti-woman Holy Gory Book of fictions and falsehood wherein lies notions of female subjugation, denigration and repression. Unlike our Ancestral Believe System where the females are elevated above male, for instance in Ifa system of us Yorubas- I discovered that the highest power, energy and top privilege is ascribed/given to the feministic essence. Even the western world observes this meta-reality but our brain-washed youths and teenagers conceived from 1993 till date all lack lustre because of certain crucial cultural value systems absent in their so self-righteous, 'indoshawamic' mentality. How many Yoruba kids of todays can understand an 'alor' less much of being able to decipher the morality in them ? Will they live that long to confirm it ? How will Nigeria look like by then ? (that is if it does exist) otherwise those are simply conjecture of the kind of utopia they'd want their descendants to live in futuristic world after reading lots of the likes of Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov and very old Marvel comics. As for me, whenever I peep I rarely forsee an Elyssium-like planet but a post-apocalyptic fallen world wherein humans exist in three class of kinds - Humans (e.g. your descendant), Hyper-humans (those I call homo-superiors) and Ultra-humans (God-like humans). Nuff said for now. Litmus: Biological Engineering will probable surpass mechanical ones. Or, at least, it will have the greatest impact on human existence and societies long term. The ultimate human society will probably be one where Western technology passes into history and humans attain the African path of mind over matter, what we have presently relegated to mambo-jumbo witchcraft.
It is essential for the dominance of Capitalist Technology which sells us gadgets to undermine and ridicule concepts like the path we call magic, sorcery and telekinesis. I would have been happier if i heard that the Edo youths exterminated some of those vermin and their cattle rather than just raze their settlement down alone!
Edo peeps got no chill at all. The day i respect Bini people was when 2 guys in UNIZIK were quarreling and the one that was a Bini guy just waved his hand and an unbranded bottle just enter the hand from nowhere wey e carry smash him opponent head. oh you mean it supernaturally came out of thin air to its hands ? If yes, tell me more. |
