ok. Thank u. But initially as i wasn't pressing it was swelling but it's normal now since i started pressing it. I sm just confused. Me self don tire to press
Even if it swells, it would flatten out on its own. My MIL did it for my daughter and i never liked it so i didn't do it for my son. My mum, like most other people have never even heard of it so i don't think it's important.

Mamas, I am trying to order pepper soup spice. Please which ingredient should I ask them to not add in the spice??
I think you're better off making your own peppersoul spice when pregnant. The ingredients to avoid are uda, some people even say scent leaf. Some people say you should add them in very little quantities.

Mamas please a me ooo, i find it hard to sleep at night even when baby is fully asleep but i sleep in the afternoon. I don't know what to do, please advice me on best ways to make me fall asleep
Don't pressure yourself, if you can't sleep at night, find something useful to do with the time, if you feel less pressure to fall asleep, sleep would come.

For your second question, why haven't you asked your school if they would let you bring the baby. You're the only one that knows how your work environment is and if they would let you carry your baby. Or you can get a post-secondary school age help to come to school with you and watch the baby.

As for creche, I don't know how much the school pays and if it's worth spending money on a creche. My cousin who teaches in a secondary school put her baby in a creche close to her school where she paid N500 per day. She said their services were decent and i thought the price was fair enough considering her salary and the fact that there were days she could take the baby with her to school. So if you find a service like this too, you could consider creche.

Oh really cos we’ve been using it for almost 5 days now but since it’s not advisable we’ll have to dilute it before using .thanks
Please it's not meant for the skin, not even when diluted, it's really strong and harsh. Just leave a few drops on your bed or on a wrapper not too far from the baby and she can still breathe it. For this case you don't even need it, just make sure she's covered when it gets cold.

Good day mamas and papas in the house Abeg help a ftf my dd is just two weeks old and she seem to have Cather cos whenever she’s breathing it’s kind of noisy as if her nose is blocked we’ve been using sliverbird to sprinkle round the rooms and also put a little drop on head please is there anything we can do Abeg .
All newborns breathe like that, it gets worse when it's cold, so just make sure she's warm and ignore the sound, it would pass as she gets older.

Good afternoon mummies in the house. Please o I need help! How do you wean your baby from bottles? My DD hates spoons(Except as a toy). She throws a tantrum whenever I try to feed her with a spoon and sometimes even throws up.
But give her bottle and she will finish 200ml of thick pap/AS. I need ideas on how to make her like using spoon. She's almost 8 months old. Biko don't ignore... Cos her grandma is saying I should leave her alone, that since she stopped sucking breast by herself, she will stop the bottle herself too.
As long as the food can go in a bottle, let her be, saves more time and she gets to eat more. Have you tried giving her rice or other solids with spoon

Good evening mamas and papas of this great forum. please my DD have been having boils upon boils. Biocine syrup was prescribed, the boils cleared but will reappear after the completion of the dosage. she was placed on augmenting suspension last two weeks. At our 9 months immunization I still complained but her doctor insist is part of teething since all the test result are good. Duno what else to do. The healed part lives some black scar and my dd is fair in complexion. what should I do bikonu. am using rising powder and Shea butter
Choi this thing terrorized GB and I earlier this year. We took three different antibiotics, but it was the advice I got here that finally cured it. They are highly contagious, so when water from one boil touches another part of the skin, a new boil would pop up the next day.

First, don't wipe across the boils to clean them, else you would be spreading them. Just dab with hot water mixed with dettol, morning and night.

After every single bath, soak everything, face towel, sponge, bath towel in very hot water and dettol.

Change and wash the bedsheets as often as possible. Maybe two days intervals. Wash with dettol

While I was doing this, she was also on the third antibiotic, then I bought mupiderm ointment, to apply on the boils, it really dries them. In fact id dig up the old post and tag you.

Pls ma, how can one search the thread.. each time I try to do dt I usually see posts totally outside the thread and most time don't get useful information
select Health section, and use as few words as possible. E.g type 'potato puree' in the search bar then run the search. Beneath the search bar, you'll see 'all sections'. Click on it and select 'Health'. Then read through. You have to be a lil patient cuz some irrelevant stuff might also come up. After that search 'carrot puree' or 'weaning food' or 'baby puree' things like that. Two words at a time.

Well, he goes to crèche till about 5/6 when we get home n he changes his Diaper around 1/2 only if he didn't poo... All brands I've tried in terms of Diaper has failed me due to leaking ranging from molfix to huggues to asda little angel, then one Chinese one like that that's written in Chinese..Next time I go, I'll ask for the blue little angel, maybe that one won't leak.... Who knows if its not the plenty Diaper that's causing the rash.....when the tribotan clears the rash, it leaves mark, now his bumbum is full of patches of colors like the chest... That's y I'm reasoning sudocreme.... If u have recommendations for Diaper that doesn't leak, it would be appreciated greatly so I can buy all when I go out tmr... Thank you ma
Like someone already said, you need to change him more often. Maybe he pees a lot. Send him to creche with 3-4 diapers daily and complain/report whenever he comes home with a diaper rash cuz it's definitely something they're doing wrong. Let them clean his bum with wipes at each diaper change whether poo or pee. Also buy wipes that's mild on the skin. I use angel wipes and its good. I use Nigerian pampers and molfix for my son, and no issues at all.
I've just been having issues with GB's molfix cuz there's so much fake size 5 everywhere.

Mine was the reverse. Sudocreme bleached GB but baby tribotan didn't. I def think you must have used too much of the tribotan. Use only a thin amount at a time no matter how bad the rashes are and stop as soon as the rashes clear.

Thank you ma.... But I can keep using the sudocreme for the Diaper right? Cos he keeps having Diaper rashes even with the vaseline or powder we use....
He shouldn't be having constant diaper rash, especially if he's home with you all day. What diaper are you using, make sure it's not fake, or just try a different brand. Also change him as often as you should and as soon as he poops. You can use sudocreme for diaper rash if its working for you but I don't advise turning it to your daily barrier creme. Switch back to vaseline once his bum is clear.

OK, I'll go for the aveeno then but does it have cream as well cos I was told to leave oils(coconut oil) n use a proper cream... Also his hair is pulling so badly, I know he's a boy but he's almost bald... Shebi I should just ignore ni abi I can do anything about it??
Tanchu ma
Yeah aveeno has cream too. GB had the same thing when she was a few months old and I really suspect Sudocreme to have caused it but I was also using Cussons then so who knows.

About the hair, just let it go cheesy at least he's a boy, stronger one would grow.

Stmema:
Thank you ma... Saw a Dr today that said cussons is good n I should just be adding sudocreme n I should get a proper cream not oils.. I just confuse straight!
I won't be surprised if cussons is the culprit, and please don't add sudocreme. Buy aveeno soap, it's expensive but it would clear it in a few weeks.

Hello Sabi Mamas in the house, i am here again with my plenty wahala.
My 4 months old DS who takes breastmilk and Nan 1 has been stooling for 3-4times a day since last week Monday, one of the days it was as much as 6 times. I gave him zinc, ors and augumentin drops(prescribed by a pharmacist) but no improvement still. He has lost weight already and i decided to carry him to the hospital last night cos i was getting really worried. Only for me to get to the hospital in that rain, my Son was smiling and cooing at the doctor, and the doctor said he is perfectly normal that there is nothing wrong with him. I was like whatttt so you mean i ran out of my house by past 7pm only for you to tell me it is fine for him to suddenly start stooling for 3-4times a day for the past 1 week, please adonbeleivit. His weight 4 weeks ago was 6.8kg, yesterday 6.9kg, i told doctor, he had lost all the weight he had gathered for the past 4 weeks due to the stooling, the doctor said he is even big sef that the average weight for a 4months old is 6.5kg.

Please o, help me torchlight this matter if truly the doctor is right. (The stool is watery, has mucus, yellow and has egusi like particles). He gave me one Famagyl suspension to give so it doesnt look like i returned from the hospital emptyhanded. But going through the leaflet i cant find dosage for babies, it starts from 1year. Has anybody used this drug for their baby? He also gave Ketofung Cream for the eela.

Cc: All Sabi mamas
I don't know why many doctors would always fall for smiling babies and refuse to run tests. I've learnt to insist, if not all my hospital trips would be wasted.

I've never given Flagyl suspension to my baby but I won't give a 4month old medicine that's meant for 1year+ except a doctor reassures me that's it safe. Since it's been a week and the baby is losing weight, go and see another doctor biko.

Just get the other method then, the earlier the better. Ring is still a bit scarce in the East, I used the other method for my son.

Good evening sabi mamas. please whats the difference between ring circumcision and ordinary circumcision? Someone advised me to go for the ring one but the hospital i checked out for that said they don't do ring one but ordinary one. Pls any idea on this issue will be helpful to me
Try to find a hospital that does ring, cuz it's the more current method. If you can't, the other method is still fine.

This sebamed though, I don't understand. I have a friend that use it for his 2 kids from birth but their skin is so dry and somehow wrinkle self. You need to see their hands.

I have told her to start using dove soap for them, and Ori with palmkernel oil.

Abi is she the one not buying the original sebamed ni. But she buys from all these known supermarkets.
When i used sebamed, it was really nice on GB's skin, but maybe your friend should try aveeno, its perfect for dry skin. Me ive moved on from all of them cheesy too much money going down the drain literally cheesy
