That sounds like epidural. Its a kind of anesthesia they give on the spinal cord so that you do not feel pain during vaginal delivery.

Or if you mean the types on anesthesia used for CS, then there is the general one where you are made to fall asleep until the whole procedure is over and the local, where just your tummy is numbed so you don't feel pain when they cut you open but you're still awake for the procedure. I think more people are going for the local one these days for fear of never waking up after the general anesthesia.

Put dettol in bath water. Soak, and wash all sponges, washclothes and towels with hot water mixed with dettol after every single bath, dab the spot lightly (cuz its painful) with a towel and hot water during baths, change bedsheets daily.

I've started lactating and my baby sucked for an hour per feed. He sucked my breast like his feeding bottle tit . I have bruised nipples already (on day 1). Please, what can I apply on d nipple. I cry as he sucks cos its painful ehn.

Make sure he latches properly, the entire black part of the breast, not just the nipple should be inside his mouth when you want to feed him. That way you would encounter only minimal pain and it would subside soon.

Last immunization was 12months, next is 13 month, but we're taking it at 13month 2 weeks.

Hello mama's. My 2weeks+ baby makes a whistling sound while sleeping or awake. Like his nose is blocked but I'm not sure. MIL said he's snoring and the sound is normal but I'm scared.
I took him to d hospital yesterday and the Dr was just asking questions, funny enough baby didn't make any sound in his presence so he said there is nothing wrong with him. Is there any mama who has experienced this here?

I'm not lactating well too.... I've taken enough palmy, pap and milk is my breakfast every day. Please, what else can I take to boost milk production?

That's how newborn babies breathe. My baby is 10 weeks and still breathing like that. It's more obvious at night maybe that's why the doctor couldn't hear it.

As for breastfeeding, keep doing what you're doing and breastfeeding as much as possible. Let him suck all day if u can cheesy

Morning mamas abeg chook mouth for this matter. It's about my small haers flask. This flask has been on point since I got it, it kept water hot for about 2days, even pap when I was nursing. Recently, I started putting hot water for my son's cereal to school and I discover it doesn't last again. Maximum now is about 4 hours, it's confusing cos it's stainless steel unlike glass flask that can be broken. What could have gone wrong

How long have you had it? Try to use it on a weekend and see how long it lasts, it might be that the school people don't close it properly. If you try it and it really lasts only 4 hours, this means wear and tear might have occurred and you would need to get yourself a new flask. GBs foodflask was keeping food hot all day when i just bought it, but as the months went by, the hours reduced.

What's he been eating? Try orange. Peel it like you peel a tangerine then cut the fingers up in bits and let him chew and swallow. Also change his diet, give him food like beans, oats, yam porridge.

Check your waste bone how. Did he insert his hand or just a finger? It shouldn't be painful, just try to visualize what he's doing and convince yourself that there's space in there for his fingers to pass through. Once you relax, it shouldn't be painful.

Note: she traveled from Lagos to Benin and her antenatal is Lagos so she cant visit hospital in Benin please help

She should go easy on the paracetamol. Let her drop her phone or any screens for a whole day and sleep and rest well. Nothing stops her from visiting a hospital in Benin too if it persists.

Start with Nan, there's a whole lot of infant formula brands but I'm only suggesting the one I've used. If she doesn't like that you can try others after that tin is finished.

He's still supposed to take just milk for now, so try NAN, just cuz that's what I used. If he doesn't like it, you can't try other formula brands, you'll see all of them in the baby food aisle at any store. He can take just formula and breastmilk until he's six months, but if you still want to graduate to solids, then wait until 4months and start with pap and baby cereal marked 4+momths until he clocks 6 months.

Try baby tribotan but it would probably clear on its own if you ignore it too. Don't cover her up too much cuz of heat.

Mummyjason did he run tests because the body weakness could just be morning sickness. Chloroquine is safe in 1st trimester tho, i took it with GB. Why is he prescribing so many other drugs though, over something that might just be ms. If you haven't done any test for malaria, i advise you to go do it first go and do the test, if malaria is negative then its just ms. If positive then chloroquine and piriton is safe. Maybe he's just trying to make profit for his hospital by prescribing the others.
