Hello mommas, this is what I've been facing with my DD for over two months now. It started like normal diaper rash and has refused everything I've tried. I've taken her to the hospital twice and she was given medication, it didn't work. Ive used sudocream, baby tribotan, scent leave, abf, mycoten and clotriderm. I don't know what else to do. I need HELP!. If I try to air her bum, she scratches it till it bleeds and it breaks my heart to see her like that. Please mommas help me!

So sorry, at this point id try to avoid diapers totally until it heals, maybe try pants instead. Go easy on the products you've already tried so much, maybe try the powder that someone recommended, that should keep her comfortable.

I gave birth to my beautiful girl on the 18th June,2019. Glory to God.
My story is that God is wonderful. I salute all women going through labor pain. It is not easy Biko. Three gbosa for una.

I started having contraction on 17th evening and in the next morning, my husband timed it to be 8min apart. I just told him to go to work that I would be okay. I bathe my DD, made food for her and I was still feeling fly.
Fast forward to 1pm, I downloaded the contraction timing app to be sure. It was then I realized that my contraction has been between 4min to 5min apart. At this time, I have started seeing stars. I called hubby to come but I checked map and I saw that he won’t get to me until 2hrs later. I just booked uber and the man was speaking gibberish, I just told him guy if you want to decline , Biko decline I am in labor.

To cut the long Tory short, I arrived hospital and my doctor was laughing at me that shebi we saw yesterday for checkup and he told me he gave me anointing to birth. I laughed. He checked and he said I am 6cm gone but with the pain and the way I was shouting when he was checking me, he just recommended epidural. Come and see me shouting “Where is the epidural man ohh” The pain is out of these world mama. The anesthesiologists came and administer and I felt a little bit relieved. Although I still feel pain when contracting because I was in active labor so the epidural just numb the area that’s needed.

Got to hospital 3 and I delivered my baby girl 3hrs later with no tears. Isn’t God great. June cappo, BS submitted. Signing out till when I am ready to nurture another tiny human being.

Mummies good morning ooo! Please can someone come to my aid? I noticed this skin rash on my son's body few days ago while I was bathing him even though it wasn't as massive as this. Firstly, came out like normal heat rash. So immediately, took him to his PAED doctor only to be told that it's just a skin reaction from the drugs he's been taking that it will go on its own. Out of nervousness I took him to a reputable pharmacy was told it's a infection and was given cefuroxine antibiotics. He started using it yesterday we are yet to see any change. He actually contacted this from school last week.

Calm down you're already doing too much. You should have just listened to the paed at least for a while until he stopped whatever drugs were causing it. Why do you believe it's an infection, is there a kid/kids in his school with the same rash

If you want to go with the pharmacists idea, then know that you sometimes start seeing the physical effect of antibiotics after Day 3 or more, you can't always expect to see changes after the first spoon.

Didn't they tell you the cause at the hospital. I think it's cuz you're approaching EDD and baby's getting heavier and maybe you've been over working yourself, try and get a lot of rest, it would go away.

Just buy a sippy cup, buy a good one with straw like the one in the picture, they are easier to drink from instead of all those ones you have to bend or pull and squeeze. At one, he should be able to eat what you eat, with less pepper. Try amala with ogbono, ripe plantain porridge, unripe plantain porridge, yam or potato porridge, rice, beans, moimoi, fried overripe plantain with egg saice. Still mash most of his food a bit or make them as soft as possible, it makes feeding easier. Try everything and stick to the ones he likes. Feed him with plate and spoon.

BM flows from his left nose whenever we lie down to breastfeed at night, what could be the cause?

Rashes keep coming and going around his genitals, I keep to strict hygiene and use tribotan, we use molfix diaper...still the same, I am tired oooo. we have been battling this since he was 3weeks.

You have to hold him or support him with pillows for now. My baby is headed for 6 months and still can't sit for long without toppling over. It always cracks me up, but one day i'd wake up and realise he can sit for long without tumbling, that's how it happens, so enjoy every phase.

For diaper, change him every 4 hours, make sure the wipes you're using isn't harsh. I use angel wipes. If these don't work then try a different brand of diaper.

For breastfeeding, prop up his head with a little pillow or folded wrappers, if it continues, you may have to sit up at night to breastfeed. Maybe it's running to fast and due to his position it keeps going the wrong way.

My baby rolls on the bed while sleeping. He falls off the bed if unattended. I drag him up at nighg more than 3 times to make sure he does fall off. If he encounters and obstacle while turning, he wakes up and starts crying. Please help as our 6 by 6 bed cannot contain 3 of us. B4 now I sleep in another bed in the same room but we moved to a new house and the two beds can't enter the masters bedroom. Hubby insists I carry him to my room. The implication is that I will be the only one waking up to attend to him at night. He wakes up many times and hubby assists feed him and put him to sleep. If I take him to my room, sleep yakari.
Please I need tips to stop the rolling.

Hubby wanted to play that one on me but I did not gree. Here's what I do, every night I bring a mattrass from the other room and lay it right beside the bed. Now when GB falls, she just falls on the mattrass on the floor and continues sleep, plus now there's sufficient space for everyone to sleep comfortable. The mattrass is not that big but it takes up all the additional space in the room so i bring it in last thing at night and take back first thing in the morning.

Jeez this is still here. It really does look like baby eczema, I'd say just be more patient and keep doing what you're doing, just bath and moisturize. No more medication, even baby tribotan and the likes. Read treatment of baby eczema here

Another problem is that the last time she went to the hospital she was asked to do an x-ray the pelvic x-ray to determine if she will be able to put to bed without operation or with operation and that one should cost 10,000 naira something like that so I want to find out if it is true something like that goes for 10000 just for an x-ray

For hepatitis B, I don't know much about it but I think that's the serious one. please find a good hospital and do whatever your doctor says. If they say no breastfeeding then please don't breastfeed.

I don't start cleaning until they start growing teeth, cuz their mouth always smells so good until then. But if you want to clean, use a small face towel with clean drinking water to wipe around the gums and tongue.

Ok, whatever they send you, just use a little of it at a time. I eat normal peppersoup when I'm pregnant, and I can confirm it causes slight contractions, too slight to mean anything sha. But bodies are different. So don't eat more than a plate a day.

If he's formula fed, make sure to constantly give him water.

Generally sha, newborns always look stressed when pooping cuz they're still learning and ain't used to it.

Deep hoarse voice kwa? You make it sound like he's approaching puberty . Again, all newborns breathe like they have difficulty breathing because their lungs are still developing. It would get worse now that the weather is getting cold again, so always dress him appropriately esp at night. Cover him well at night cuz they can easily catch a cold.

If you see any symptoms more serious than this, you can go to the hospital, but for now I think all this is normal.
