When I call my girl she answers ma,my son has picked that up. When he hears me call him he screams ma. She calls me mummy sometimes but my son has stuck with calling me Nene...whatever that means and he will be 2 in April and calls other stuffs/people around him correctly.

Pele. Don't waste the colostrum, it can't be too hard for her to suck, just keep putting it in her mouth.
You can massage the breast with hot water, but then she has to suck for you to get major relief, it would start with little colostrum and soon there would be breastmilk all over the place. Also, drink plenty of water and other fluids. I take plenty hot pap like 2 or 3 times a day whenever I'm trying to establish breastfeeding, usually helps the breast start flowing cuz sometimes they feel engorged yet nothing is really coming out.

How has she been feeding for the past 3 days? I formula fed GB for almost three weeks before I got the hang of breastfeeding, with my son, I formula fed for 3 days. So if the breast is not co-operating yet, the child has to eat somehow while you keep trying.

They usually give you an appointment. If you want to get checked, you can just go to your hospital and see a Gyn I don't think it matters if you gave birth there or not.

orocess postpartum,press your body and uterus for pains and subtle bleeding/lochia issues.check your vital signs again.

.Examine the breasts to see if you are positioning well for baby.Ask for your support system then direct you to the family planning unit.While at it the paediatrician takes a look at the baby,ask questions and further advice you.

It helps cos for me it was how they discovered my episiotomy had grown keliods which i didnt even notice and was taken back to the theatre.

Is there such a thing as 6 week check up at the hospital, no one mentioned it both for my first n second baby but i hear people talk about it

So I'm currently weaning, and as expected my breast is very engorged and painful. But that's not the issue. The problem is, it is only one breast (the left breast).

The other breast (the right) is just there, soft as usual and not engorged or painful either.

I last breastfed on sunday evening, and due to the pain, i pumped out about 120ml from the engorged left breast yesterday, monday, even at that it was still full and hard with milk, but i had to leave it like that and endure. But still the right breast is just there like normal. (And there's milk inside oh). I didnt pump it or anything since its still normal.

Today, the left has gotten even more harder, engorged and painful, while the right is still the same.

This morning now while dressing up, i had to pack some folded piece of cloth into my right bra, cos the difference in their size is now sooo obvious. Very obvious, unbelievable and awkward.

Is this difference normal or should i be worried and what can i do?

Mine was like that, one boob didn't give me any trouble at all while its partner was going crazy. When you express, it's just to get a little relief, it wont calm down just like that. The good news is that you'll be fine by the end of today or tomorrow.

This is what i had but when i got there, they drew a line over MMR and chickenpox and told me those ones are now given at 15 months, you can see the line in blue pen, then you can see mine has no 13 months instead there's mmr and chicken pox again at 18 months. But that one is just their own schedule, every hospital with their own style so just follow your hospitals own

Looks like a bacterial infection . Since its gone on for 3 weeks take her to the hospital.

To relieve her pains,give para, warm water compress with a washcloth on the affected areas, apply mupiderm ointment with a cotton bud and soaking all her bed and bath essentials ( pillow case, towels, bedsheet) with hot water and antiseptic

Thanks glam ma, Zaynie, Sunbestie, bloomingbud. i should have just gone to hospital but I was busy listening to home remedy MIL. The boils have all started to dry up sha, i got the mupiderm cream, and started the compress and soaking. We'd go to the hospital if i spot any new one again.
