munarule: Beautiful mamas please come to my rescue o this is my adorable son back and butt, he's just 3 months old. Initially I was using Johnson lotion and I started seeing some rashes on his face so I stopped and prepared coconut oil myself and that's what have been using on his skin since last month. This thing has refused to go, I have used mupiderm, agenesia powder and bath him with black soap but this thing is just stubborn. It is also on the back of his head. The back you are seeing is opposite of his front because his face and tummy is spotless. Beautiful mamas please what can I use o . God bless you for reading Jeez is his bum red, that looks painful. Are you sure it's not heat rashes. Which of the products discoloured his back like that. Try baby tribotan, just very little at a time so he won't sweat. Maybe he's sweating too much on his back, wear him lighter clothes and no diaper, make sure the room is airy at night, and let him sleep on his tummy for now. Use hot water to press the rashes while bathing him morning and night. Just always try to keep the back clean and dry for now. If it still persists, go to the hospital. |

lightedpath: The things we did that helped : you need to let her stay off diaper once you are at home, you will clean urine and poo but it will let her understand what you are telling her. At some point she will start cleaning the urine herself. Each time she urinates or poo, tell her what she did and point to the potty telling her to use it next time (she won't understand immediately so you have to be patient) and don't get tired of repeating the process. The last thing I did that eventually gave us breakthrough was to be using the potty myself so that she could See Me and I tell her what I just did. This really helped... All the best Choi, reduced to using potty, i hope it doesn't come to that |

4realwoman: pls mama's, I also need answer to the question above. Thanks Id assume budget means you do not want to throw a party... These are the three options Option number 1 if your baby goes to Creche, Get a small cake 8-12k Get party packs, maybe a modest party pack, there are some I've seen that came in tiny nylons with just sweets, biscuits, ribena and a small toy, maybe whistle inside. Guess like 5k can take care of this type of party pack depending on how many kids you have to give. It doesn't have to be this basic tho, for GBs first birthday, i put one story book, one stuffed animal then just loaded the bag with sweets and children's drinks. Take these to the creche, they would sing happy birthday and you take pictures with your phone. Option number 2 and my plan for GB's 2nd birthday. If your baby doesn't go to creche. Get a small cake 8_12k Get two cartons of malt, I dunno what that costs, maybe 4k Take pictures with your phone Share the cake and drinks with neighbours and any other places where the baby has fans. Don't invite them to your house, just package it and take to them. (I've seen stuff on my desk at work sometimes and id ask from where and they would say someone's baby turned +1). Option number 3. Mini party Cook a big cooler of rice Buy drinks Get a cake Get a cheap photographer Fix the birthday party on a weekend if it didn't fall there. Text close friends and family to come by, you don't even have to specify the time. Everyone would come by at different times, eat, gist and go. Miscellaneous if your money is still remaining Cute birthday outfit(s)10k more or less You can always go to a cheap studio and do a photoshoot, i hear studio24 or whatever is not charging 100k like the rest of them Also instead of taking pictures with your phone, you can call a good roadside photographer or that one that hangs out at your church on Sundays. Don't mention the words 'one year old' or 'photoshoot', just tell them there's a small get together in your house and begin to bargain like an Ijebu. Cc: Graced2018 |

angeltolly: First My DS had indigestion for a day then when he finally poop it was watery poop over the weekend, that is gone now but the issue is he's always demanding for water such that he will become so full and vomit almost everything he's had. I was afraid of dehydration, so I give him anytime he ask for water. No fever, plays well but am thinking he's lost some weight (dunno if its me tho) please who has anything to say to this. Don't fill the cup everytime he asks. Instead give him at intervals, even before he asks |

SlimBrawnie: Mamas pls what can I use for my baby"s skin, he has an extremely dry skin(from his father o). I have to apply ori always on his face so his face his not as dry as other parts of his body that is somehow scaly sef. My mum said the ori I use as his body cream doesn't contain enough oil that's why his body still looks dry after applying. I was thinking twas the weather. Also he doesn't like lying down again, he's always struggling/crying to sit up & look around for what I don't know and he'd be 3months by next week. At what month can I start sitting him up? Maybe shea butter is not a good enough moisturizer for his kind of skin. If it were an older child, I'd say don't towel dry his body and just rub the shea butter over the water on his body after bath. But for a 3 month old, just buy Aveeno or Sebamed lotion. If you don't want to waste money on those, try coconut oil. |

preshpearl: about your period, i somehow feel happy for you, atleast you know when to be on guard
me na, this is almost 8 months running and nothing.... i don buy pt strip keep for house, every two months, i test.. we go dey alright
by the way, my baby is almost 8 months , he is yet to start crawling. Although he takes the position, he can spin 360 at a spot with his bum bum and belly, but to move, naim be the koko..i feel he is just afraid
anything i can do to help him Me I'm jealous of you, 8 whole months. For your baby, put things in front of him that he would like to reach for. One thing i find really good for babies is consistent tummy time when they are still very young. Once you start tummy time you see their muscles getting stronger and stronger and they can reach their milestones faster. But crawling fast is overrated, that's when they really start to make your life a living hell I won't worry about it if I were you. He'd sha move the day he wants to move, with or without help |

hotmomma: The potty training stage Stage one: familiarization stage, get a nice comfy potty and let her just get used to it, not for poop or pee but just to see it as a new sit , if she sits for 2 mins only, applaud her. Bring it to d sitting room self so that she can sit and watch small cartoons. Stage two: the running around stage, while at home, ditch the diapers for now except sleeping, if she makes a poop poop face before pooping, then you are lucky, as soon as she starts, just dive to d potty no matter how little poop or pee you catch you are making progress. NNE, this stage takes work and determination. With time, she would come around and start indicating she wanna poop especially if she can attribute the act to words, like my son would say mummy peepee, or mummy hmmmm(smelly sound), for poop This stage can take from one week to several weeks or months so you need patience. Another thing that worked for me was prayers, yes prayers, I had to Involve baba God cos I was almost getting frustrated before he had mercy on me . Goodluck. Phew thanks a lot, guess we are at the wearing pant and pooping all over the place stage. Her dad said yesterday that "only God can potty train this girl". |

MysTeerioz: Follow up... I made the pap watery and added formula (NAN 2)--- chairman refused I made the pap watery and added breastmilk------------- chairman refused I made the pap same watery consistency, added nothing, fed with spoon and he seemed to enjoy it because he didn't close his mouth till it finished.... I don't understand chairman ooo Even me I don't like sour pap without milk and sugar unless I'm sick... chai!! He even ate mashed yam this morning ehn and and even protested when I was too slow in bringing the food to His mouth.... Try thick pap with crayfish and formula. If he rejects it then you'll know he prefers his pap without formula, so u can give him just pap with crayfish. A lot of kids prefer plain pap. Also since he's 6 months already, just give him whatever food you eat, as long as there's no bone or pepper and you can mash his too for easy swallowing. |

My period is back It wasn't even up to two months post delivery . This is just village people . On the bright side i haven't played any rough play Biko we started potty training or something that looks like potty training . We started last week and up until now, she still doesn't know you're meant to poo or pee inside the potty. In fact if she starts pooping and i take off her diaper she stops. If i make her sit on the potty she stops too. I've tried putting a diaper in the potty, it didn't work. How did you people finally do it? Flora EC i know there was a time this was driving you crazy, how did you finally do it. Anyone else, especially anyone who's toddler stays home. |

Adayoung: Good day mamas, how do I get my dd to start taking pap and other food apart from bm ? Giving her pap is tug of war for us. pls help. She'll be 6 months in a few weeks She can start taking solids, they don't have to be full meals yet, just start by giving her a few spoons at a time until she gets used to them. You can try pap, mashed potatoes, yam or ripe plantain porride, beans, you can also put a few spoons of your own food like rice, eba in her mouth when you're eating. With time you would know what she likes |

Gb likes to watch it too. What i don't get is the obsession with the dstv remote. That's always the favourite. Back in the village, they had like 4 spoilt remotes that this girl can play with but she always goes straight for the working dstv remote. |

Secondly, my nipple is blocked ontop with flesh. I remember when I wasn't preggy, It comes off by itself whenever I bath with hard sponge. I've been bathing with hard sponge but it no gree comot o and I was told milk will not flow if I don't remove it. Please, how do I remove d flesh too? Biko. IreDara: Thanks ma'am. I only got to know I'm pregnant after 14wks. Was just feeling thiis constant headache, went to the hospital and it was confirmed that I was 14weeks 5days pregnant.
My problem now is that, I hate drugs, I throw up drugs once i try to swallow it... my doctor knows that so he didn't bother to give me many many drugs. He just gave me a pack of OBRON-6 and a pack of folks acid with paracetamol. It's almost 6wks now and I haven't even finish a sachet of folic and obron6, I end up throwing both food/beverage and drugs up, which makes me sick n weak. I dread raking drugs. I do go for my antenatal n so far so good, everything has Bn normal. But I can't just help but think hope not taking these drugs wouldn't have effect on my baby? is there a way I could take it without throwing up? Use a drink, use garri, while you're still figuring it out, make sure you're taking a lot of fruits and vegetable. |
