Are you for fake? It's not every statement that you interpret with a kindergarten eye. Of course we all know NUC is the body that regulates universities in Nigeria but that doesn't mean the universities should not have some kinda relative independence. Very soon NUC will tell them the kind of flower to plant in all the schools.

LMAO at the bolded...flower ko garri ni...Dude this has to do with academics and the NUC has every right to interfere in it.

This is why the country needs a credit bureau through which you can ascertain a company or individual debt profile before you decide whether to advance such entity more loan or not.

afam4eva: What's their business with what goes on inside a school. Shouldn't it be the duty of the universities to determine whether or not they want their students to resit? I think some people are taking lectures from Fashola of Lagos. This law is a draconian law that does not sit well with common sense me.

I'm so glad u crossed common sense cos it seems to be far from you at this moment.

What concerns NUC with what goes on in a university? Are you for real? shocked shocked shocked

Politics / Re: Obasanjo - Ghaddafi’s Fall Fuelled Boko-Haram by gidiMonsta(m): 3:28pm On Sep 14, 2012
OBJ is right on point with this statement. The original BH (pre 2009) was a result of the social issues plaguing Nigeria especially the north. The Shekau led BH is nothing but an extension of AQIM who were well funded with weapons and resources by NATO during the battle against Ghaddafi.

The foot soldiers and the suicide bombers are just brainwashed minions who are the offspring of our failed social system, the top commanders that pull the strings are AQIM members who do not even reside in Nigeria.

Islam for Muslims / The Muhammad I Know And Have Come To Love by gidiMonsta(m): 3:35pm On Sep 13, 2012

Muhammad was born in Makkah in the year 570. Since his father died before his birth and his mother died shortly thereafter, he was raised by his uncle who was from the respected tribe of Quraysh. He was raised illiterate, unable to read or write, and remained so till his death. His people, before his mission as a prophet, were ignorant of science and most of them were illiterate. As he grew up, he became known to be truthful, honest, trustworthy, generous, and sincere. He was so trustworthy that they called him the Trustworthy.1 Muhammad was very religious, and he had long detested the decadence and idolatry of his society.

At the age of forty, Muhammad received his first revelation from God through the Angel Gabriel. The revelations continued for twenty-three years, and they are collectively known as the Quran.

As soon as he began to recite the Quran and to preach the truth which God had revealed to him, he and his small group of followers suffered persecution from unbelievers. The persecution grew so fierce that in the year 622 God gave them the command to emigrate. This emigration from Makkah to the city of Madinah, some 260 miles to the north, marks the beginning of the Muslim calendar.

After several years, Muhammad and his followers were able to return to Makkah, where they forgave their enemies. Before Muhammad died, at the age of sixty-three, the greater part of the Arabian Peninsula had become Muslim, and within a century of his death, Islam had spread to Spain in the West and as far East as China. Among the reasons for the rapid and peaceful spread of Islam was the truth and clarity of its doctrine. Islam calls for faith in only one God, Who is the only one worthy of worship.

The Prophet Muhammad was a perfect example of an honest, just, merciful, compassionate, truthful, and brave human being. Though he was a man, he was far removed from all evil characteristics and strove solely for the sake of God and His reward in the Hereafter. Moreover, in all his actions and dealings, he was ever mindful and fearful of God.

This is a short biography of the man, Muhammad, I want MUSLIMS on this forum to share with the world why they love him, let's tell the world who our Rasul really is, not the blasphemy they've been made to believe over the years.

Violence against innocent souls because of the actions of a few is a great disservice to Muhammad.

My position is not to absolve the US and its agencies of blame. With regards to Libya, the facts don't support outside interference.

Actually the facts do!! The insurgency started in Benghazi after weapons were mysteriously smuggled in from Tunisia. The CIA fanned the ember of the flames burning in the heart of the anti-ghaddafi dissidents by providing logistics and weapons.

The Americans have succeeded in arming a very dangerous group the effect of which is already been felt in Mali (Azawad) and Northern Nigeria.

International response is based on efforts within a country.

Why should western nations lead revolutions in sovereign nations? If citizens rise and demand change, outsiders may assist them.

There is no guarantee that outsiders will always help; they will balance resources required with the situation on ground. Who paid for the costs of assisting the rebels in Libya?

There was no response required in Saudi because the royal family moved quickly with socialist causes. In effect, they bought the continued loyalty of their subjects.

International opinion moved against Ghadaffi because of his past actions of supporting terrorists. What state terrorism have Saudi and Bahrain sponsored?

Its an open secret in the intelligence world that the CIA are known to topple govt of sovereign nations and cloaking it with engineered protests. Check out the CONTRA affair, Nicaragua, Panama, Honduras, Romania et al. There are many books written by ex-agents to buttress this, I won't be surprised if they engineered the fall of Ghaddafi. They tried it in Iran with Mousavi but failed largely due to the effectiveness of the Iranian intelligence agencies.

And one other thing, where was the outcry when these same Salafists were beheading black Libyans and other black Africans(including Nigerians) in Libya?? The world is on steroids! - I stopped giving a fvck a couple of years ago... undecided undecided

You may be on to something here...Benghazi is the richest region in Libya in terms of oil, not too long ago they were clamoring for autonomy.

The Prophet while he was alive was ridiculed, was laughed at, was mocked, his mosque was desecrated, he was called an illiterate, he was stoned in Taif, he was bathed in animal intestines whilst in sujud (bowing during prayer) and a host of other degrading things and yet he did not lift a finger to attack or condemn the perpetrators of these acts rather he forgave them, little wonder most of them became muslims.

I feel very hurt anytime I see him been ridiculed by the western media and Islamophobes but I will never result to violence to defend him because that is not what he taught us as muslims. Muslims all over the world have a right to peacefully protest like in Egypt but should not take it too far by wanton destruction of properties or shedding of anybody's blood.

Your logic is seriously skewed. Do you need school to update your knowledge?
