Nobody is talking about North or South you guys should try and read things in the context it was made, what I am saying is that why was it cited in his home state, was the decision to take the facility there a collective one borne out of genuine reasons or just a unilateral imposition these are the issues not North or South. This is to avoid the situation where projects are just carried out in a location solely because Oga is from there, the CDS may decide to setup a "Rainforest" warfare training centre in his village for the Armed forces and if asked why that was so he will now say are there rainforests in the north? Instead of given us reasons why that decision was taking and what goal it tends to achieve. E.g All of us know the idea of building a Tucano base in Niger state makes alot of sense because of proximity to area of operations in the Northeast/Northwest axis; it will look awkward to build such a base in Lagos or Bayelsa.
I think it won't be a bad idea if we cultivate the habit of asking questions/demanding for accountability from public office holders when certain issues arise.
I understand!!!

So what was the rationale for taking a Naval base to his home state that is the crux of my query, Buratai took a university to his village despite the insecurity in Borno, AVM Sadique built a NAF hospital in his home state, Ihejirika did something similar, now the current CNS despite the fact that their is a similar training base in Kaduna by the same service, tomorrow Amao and current COAS may toe same path & in your mind we shouldn't ask about the reason behind those choices whether it is strategic or purely emotional. Tomorrow someone will wake up and decide to build a military facility in Niger republic & we all he expected not to ask for explanations; even the US and the UK that have the best navies in the world have their Naval bases in their Continental shelves. Ethiopia used to have a navy but had to shut down that arm of service when Eritrea broke out of the country.
Classical zombiesm is a common strain amongst you govt lackies, at your age you are getting stupider with each passing day, the stupider you get the more emotionally unstable you become.
Intellectual Benjamin Button.
I thought the training centre is built specifically for desert warfare training, do we have desert in the South?

Based on your logic one couldn't be wrong to say all Igbo's are drug dealers and that crime is ingrained in their DNA. In these case, we have verifiable statistics to back that up.

There is no tribe that doesn't commit crime nor have criminals individually. But fulani as a tribe is so evil that they are trained right from birth not to love anyone who is not part of them, that is to say they don't commit crime individually rather they do it collectively both old and young.
Hmmm!!! really! what kind of research methodology did you use to arrive at these conclusion?

The arrest is the end of the news.

Profiteers from the bandittry would order for his unconditional release while the presidency would claim it is the prerogative of the state to deal with bandittry
Who told you they have not been active? DSS is an intelligent agency hence, most of their activities is classified.

DPO shielding rogue cops, dares me to report to Buhari – Victim’s wife

A newlywed woman, Sandra Broderick, is in tears over the mental state of her husband, Omesa Broderick, allegedly tortured by some policemen attached to B Division, Warri, Delta State.

While Omesa remains unstable after reportedly undergoing a brain surgery occasioned by the torture, the distraught wife lamented that erring cops identified as Ndubuisi, Felix and Felix Ezesobo, had yet to be brought to book.

Sandra, in a video that went viral on Wednesday, recounted how the policemen allegedly brutalised her husband, a tricycle rider, and left him for dead. It was learnt that the incident happened in August close to the police station.

She said the Divisional Police Officer, B Division, initially identified the power-drunk cops but later developed cold feet on the case and dared her to report the matter to higher authorities.

In the clip, the husband is seen lying helplessly, clutching at Sandra who narrated his ordeal amidst intermittent sobs.

“This is what the police did to me; police brutality. People should come to my aid,” she cried. “Policemen at B Division (Warri) beat up my husband. Two of them bear Felix, the third one is Ndubuisi. The police are hiding them. The DPO told me that they are from B Division but now the police are hiding them.”

She said Omesa sustained internal head injuries and underwent a brain surgery, noting they had spent “almost N5m to take care of him.”

The woman stated further that the policemen after beating her husband to a pulp, impounded his tricycle and kept it at a filling station, adding that it was a good Samaritan who came to his rescue.

“They were not even on duty on the day the incident happened close to B Division,” she narrated amid tears. “They went to change their uniforms, beat up my husband and left him around 7pm. It was around 9pm that somebody rescued him and called me with his phone.”

She stated that Omesa was rushed to the Central Hospital, Warri as he bled profusely through the mouth and nose, adding that he was referred to another hospital for a brain surgery.

“The surgery there (at the hospital) was expensive so we had to go to another hospital, Brayans,” she noted, before breaking down in tears. “That is where we did the operation.”

“This is him,” she continued after wiping off tears, patting her unconscious husband.

“The thing (injury) is affecting his brain,” Sandra added, before betraying emotions again. “He is behaving somehow and he is the breadwinner of the house. We just got married not long after. People should help us.”

She said the family had been bearing the cost for Omesa’s treatment without support from the police who she accused of shielding the perpetrators.

She stated, “I don’t have anybody. They have been pushing the matter here and there. Till now, (we did) not even (get) a penny from the B Division, the DPO or the police; nothing. They left it all for us, saying they will bring them (the policemen) out.

“Whether they have released them, I don’t know. I don’t know what is going on. They left my husband like this. You can see him. I, my mother-in-law and my father-in-law met with the DPO. He identified them as Ndubuisi, Felix and Felix Ezesobo. They are not bringing anybody out. The DPO said I can report to Buhari if I like.

“I asked for the surname of these people, they are hiding them. I reported to the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights. They are the ones that have been taking up the matter, looking for them (the policemen).”

But the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, denied that the policemen were being shielded by either the DPO or the command, claiming that the cops were undergoing an orderly room trial.

He said, “The DPO has been constantly checking on her and her husband. How possible that the DPO who informed the command and transferred the case to the State CID would tell her that (to report to Buhari)?

“The policemen are currently in detention and a press release will be issued at the end of the orderly room trial. The orderly room trial commenced last week but prior to that time, they had been in detention.”

https://punchng.com/newlywed-undergoes-brain-surgery-after-police-torture-remains-unstable/

It seems the NPF and Federal Government haven't learn anything from the ENDSARS protest. The FG is not doing enough about police brutality in Nigeria. A situation where a NPF personnel go dey tell you say he go kill you and nothing go happen, cause he knows he go talk say nah "accidental discharge" or make he tag you a thief, cultist or IPOB member, and there will be no investigation about the killing after that..And people go dey want make you feel pity for this things when they are been attacked and killed.

The security personnel and FG should know they are really pushing Nigerians to the wall, when the people decide to stand up and fight again, is going to be more crazy this time around
