Entrepreneur, philanthropist and athlete, the multi-talented Mike Edwards is a force to be reckoned with. Taking gold at the British Indoor Championships earlier this year, he took time out from his training in the run-up to the 2018 Commonwealth Games where he was set to make history as the first high-jumper to represent Nigeria in over 50 years.

He shared with us why he had chosen to represent Nigeria, how he finds time to chill and why he celebrated his British Indoor Championship win with a cigar.

The lowest point in his life was when he was banned from representing Nigeria at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. He’d still come to the Big Brother Naija House even if he had a million dollars because he never backs down from a challenge.

Just after Timi Dakolo debunked claims of Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo officiating his wedding to Busola, Pastor Yemi Davids of Global Impact church has also confirmed that the couple got married in his church.

Pastor Yemi Davids who also revealed that he has been privy to some personal struggles Busola has had over the years, stated that what she said is her truth and should be honored even though there was a denial.

The Global Impact church Pastor who stated that he supports any process that will bring justice, healing and resolution in the matter, wrote;

Hmmm I feel the need to do this as a husband, father and Pastor. @busoladakolo got married from our church to @timidakolo and as a friend to the family, I've been privy to some of the personal struggle Busola has had over the years, based on the details she expressed at the recent interview. This is her truth and it should be honored.

I commend her for her bravery and I pray this helps her healing process. I also noticed that there was a denial of the allegation. It is important that the truth comes out. Rape is a serious offense and it is unacceptable. A process that unveils the truth in this hurtful situation in the body must begin immediately. A set of twins, Uchenna and Chinaza Ebubeogu, have been buried together after dying within 7 months of each other.

Uchenna passed on in November, 2018, while Chinaza died in June, 2019. According to their close friend, they both died of the same kind of strange ailment.

A 20-year-old woman, Makoduchukwu Ndubisi on Saturday reportedly stabbed her husband to death in Nsugbe, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The deceased, John Bosko Ngu, was allegedly stabbed on his chest by the wife with a sharp knife over a feud yet to be ascertained.

Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed said the corpse of deceased had been deposited at a morgue.

He added that investigation had commenced.

He said, “At about 8am today, police detectives attached to 33 Police Station Onitsha arrested one Makoduchukwu Ndubisi , 20, of No 16 Donking Street Nsugbe in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State.

“Suspect allegedly had a scuffle with her husband, one John Bosko Ngu ,aged 35 years of the same address and stabbed him on his chest with a sharp knife.

“Scene was visited by police detectives and victim rushed to Boromeo Hospital Onitsha for medical attention but was certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor.

“Corpse was deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy; exhibit recovered and case is under investigation to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Nigerian Navy, through the Nigerian Navy Ship Pathfinder, NNS, Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 handed over a Wooden Boat and 5 suspects arrested for illegal oil bunkering to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt's Zonal Office, for further investigation and possible prosecution.

The suspects: Joseph Dickson; Daniel Ofoni; Eric Enock, Allison Pereebiye and George Seidu were arrested by the NNS Pathfinder's patrol team around Dutch Island Creek, Port Harcourt. The Naval Handing Over Officer, Captain A. T. Ebo said that the suspects were arrested on June 12, 2019 and found on them a Wooden Boat laden with products suspected to be illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil, (AGO). .

Principal Detective Superintendent Olayinka Macaulay who received the suspects and Boat on behalf of the EFCC, assured the NAVY of diligent investigation and possible prosecution of all the suspects.
