What about taking some certifications courses even if they are lower band or should I just focus on Biotechnology.

When I check the different job sites, Biotech roles are always very few.

SIMPLIFIED:
you would have applied for msc in Biomedical science, towards completing the program you write to HCPC and they verify your undergraduate transcript, Msc transcript then tell you the top up modules needed to meet requirement for registration as a BMS in Biochemistry. When you do the top up modules from them you can now apply for trainee BMS position which is like the equivalent of internship we do here as MLS, from there you can now be fully registered. I don't think the courses you will take with Msc biotech will fit into HCPC courses at all.

It’s so unfortunate that you are the one paying for the misbehavior of IOM website.


The website has been behaving this way for a while so what most people do is book through email.

They will reply you with a new booking date. Send reminders again. If it is urgent, perhaps you might have to go back to their centre with proof so they can reschedule you for a closer date.

Good morning to everyone...Am going through some difficult time with IOM and I know am not the only one in this,I was able to book my TB test last week(9th of August) and I was scheduled for 14th August,I made transfer to the account rolled out by their customer care (Standard Chartered Bank) and message them with the Booking appointment confirmation message and payment receipt,till the booking day they didn't get back to me so I went to IOM on that Monday (14th August) but we were told we are holding draft appointment not yet confirmed (over 50persons were in this on that Monday) We were told to go back home and message them with our passports and payment confirmation and I did email them on that Monday they replied me on Tuesday to send my passports in PDF format which I did immediately and till now they haven't reply me even after sending messages everyday till this morning nothing yet... Pls if anyone know what else I can do or anyone who's in the same situation like mine and have been able to solve the problem. 😠😡

My dream has always been to work in the lab as a medical lab scientist. Due to some factors, I couldn’t get admitted into the course in Nigeria, I had to study medical biochemistry.


The conversion course was also stopped in Nigeria so I couldn’t move over.


Now, I will be resuming in UK for MSc Biotechnology next month, I have the following questions, please:


1. Is it still worth it pursuing a conversion to Biomedical Science practice in the UK? Is it possible?


2. If yes, how? Are there courses and internship to take to join IBMS, and eventually HCPC so I am ready to take on NHS roles immediately after graduation.


3. Or should I just fully pursue Biotechnology which seems to have limited opportunities and sponsorship in the UK compared to Biomedical Science.



Note: The only time I practiced biomedical science was during my IT in Nigeria few years ago. But I have worked in the health/wellness awareness space ever since graduation.

But I have questions:

1. Apart from paying 44k for walk in, do you also need to pay for assisted service or you can upload before you go?


2. Do I need to pick any date even if it's so far off before I go for walk-in?

Unfortunately, initially I didn't even submit proof of work and it didn't occur to me until I started reading and watching other people's experience online. I guess that was why the NSF and Sheffield Email didn't come as a surprise to me.

I only showed TB Cert, Degree Cert, Admission Letter/CAS, POF using my Naira salary account and Domiciliary account. Since our applications were tied together, I believe that was the reason my family got the NSF mail and I got the request for additional documents to explain what I've been doing since graduating, 10+ years ago. Lesson learned!

Since the letter says I should include verifiable documents (employment letter, payslips etc) and shouldn't just put up a CV. I decided to put together a statement of activities in a chronological order from NYSC to Date. At the end of every paragraph or statement on what was done or achieved, I slid in a reference to the attached supporting document.

1. NYSC Certificate
2. Employment Confirmation or Employment Letter where available
3. Statement of Employment Benefits/ Investments and how it ties to my proof of funds
4. 6 months to 1 year Payslips covering the employment period refered to in the statement (Over kill??)
5. Certificate of Completion of Certifications/Trainings (with photos where available to support any statement on achievements)
6. Enrollment Letters or Certificate of Membership of Professional Bodies
7. Company ID Cards for each period
8. Same Proof of funds submitted during original application because it was referred to in my statement (maybe another over kill, I didn't want to hear that ernnn they didn't see the POF in the original application sha)
9. Deed of Conveyance and pictures of properties in our names (since I mentioned that I plan to return)
10. Alot of supporting prayers

I am not sure I can get a Tax Clearance because of the stage of the business, using a falsified documents is definitely not an option.

Will a Tax Identification Number letter suffice, please?

If you need to show evidence of study gaps as being self employed

1.You should submit CAC and Tax clearance

2. Ensure your business is active on CAC

3.You may include other additional documents if you have i.e company profile, invoice of sales
or services rendered , photographs etc (These are very optional,do not include anything that will complicate your application)

If you can satisfy 1&2 above then you are good to go

It just dawned on me that there is no much noise about proofing home-ties in the UK student visa application communities.


Unlike countries like Canada and Australia where it’s a must and you have to even write a strong SOP.

2.No your spouse should include it in her application focus solely on your study documents

3. Yes they can, you will need to ensure all the requirements are met,you need to provide your GWF no to them when you finish applying for yours

Dear Nairalanders, I have a quick question.


My wife and child will be applying for visa about one month after I get my decision.

1. Can I mention it on my application that I will be coming with them?

2. Will I need to include proof of wedding/relationship in my own application

3. The reason we are not all applying together is because we are awaiting their passport and funds and time is running out to continue waiting. If they are able to get their passport early enough, Can they start application while I am awaiting decision?

Note, my concern is because my initial POF will cover for only me and I don’t want NSF mail requesting for POF for the three of us.

Back Story: I had gotten Australian Student visa denial last year because they thought I am not a genuine student. The course I applied for (TAFE) was a major reason that influenced that decision. Beyond the reason for the denial, I didn't state expressly that I am self employed. I only stated that I am the Chief Program Coordinator of at a Wellness firm.

Now that I am applying to UK, I realised its important I state this as
- it's important to be genuine and authentic.
- I may not be able to get reference letter if I don't state that I am an entrepreneur.


Questions:

1. Can I go back and restate this employment title for my preCAS questioneer and visa application even though I didn't state it when applying for the course?

2. If yes, won't the changes (from employee to self employment - same company) on my formal Australia visa refusal document sell me out as I didn't state it there. I just mentioned that I am the Chief Operations Officer? (It’s the same company name)


3. How would I navigate getting a reference for my current employment since it's my start-up? What else do I need outside letter of introduction?


4. Would they need me to show our organization tax clearance?
