Travel › Re: Onyeama: Spent N280 Million To Evacuate Nigerians From South Africa – Air Peace by GloShare(m): 7:45am On Sep 12, 2019 |
fyneguy: lol This is impossible.
South Africa to Lagos is between N120k and N150k. For 200 passengers, it would have been N30 Million (N150k x 200) and the Airline would still have made a profit.
What did he spend N280M on? The flight left Nigeria empty. Money could have been made. There were other logistics involved, not just air time. What about the time the plane spent from monday to wednesday waiting for the rescheduled arrangements to be concluded? He'd have to pay for hangar time. Now, consider how much he could have made with that single plane flying other routes rather than stay trapped for those three days... 280m is much, but I dont know the economics of his business and wouldn't doubt it. |

Area4Area: Watching that video, it just looks like a typical bend down boutique market in Nigeria and you mean someone would leave Nigeria and go risk his life because of this type of job? I thought so too... but people have made millions from those simple shops. Some have lifted their brothers out of poverty. Some have established better businesses in Nigeria, while some feed dozens of people whom they send money to in Nigeria. |

Any agreement can be broken... that's why it's an agreement.
Or did the agreement permit killing Nigerians?
FG should seize about 2% of SA firms profits and put it in an escrow account to pay damages and compensations in case of such attacks. After every 5 years, the monies can be returned to the companies while a new batch of profits are held down. |
