Christianity EtcRe: What Kind Of A Christian Are You? by God2man(m): 10:54pm On Jan 28, 2012
Nowadays, It is hard to find a good christian. Even on nairaland, people insult, abuse themselves, it is terrible. We need a transformation with the way we communicate on this forum. Many of us need to pray to heal our heart, touch our tongue, reposition our thought. No matter how great you are, if you cannot control your spirit, then you are far away from spiritual growth.
May the Lord give us the grace to do better than this. God bless you. God2man.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Some Find It Difficult To Give? by God2man(m): 3:09pm On Jan 28, 2012
People find it very difficult to give because they are myopic, (not able to see clearly things that are far away, or unable to understand a situation or the way actions will affect it in the future). The truth is that, if you only think of your present predicament, you will find it difficult to give, but if you can just see far and look at the harvest, you will be the first to give.
Moreover, many are of the opinion that the pastor or MOG are the people enjoying the money, they have forgotten that MOG are stewards, they will give account to God. MOG must also give to the work of God, if they want to prosper. They must pay tithe and offering, as they say leadership is by example. Overall, we are all accountable to God.
Also, some people believed that they do not have enough to give, they have forgotten the story of the widow in Bible that gave so little to God, but Jesus said the widow was the only one that gave everything she had, she was the greatest giver. So, the bottomline is when you have a little, it is not an excuse for you to be stingy, but rather, it is a great opportunity for you to be blessed. The measurement of God, is not how much we have but what do we have left after we have given. Some people give 1%, 2%, others 5%, 10%, while some mature christians take the risk and give 90%, 100%. It depends on the grace of God on your life. God bless you. God2man.
Christianity EtcWord Of Exhortation For A Bereaved Man, That Wants To Fight God. by God2man(op): 8:03am On Jan 28, 2012
Actually, this is a true story. Two weeks ago, one of my member went for Evangelism, she appraoched the man in order to preach to him, the man was furious, the man said" i am fighting God now, my wife is dead, my son is also dead, i am fighting God now". Can anybody fight God? How do you deal with this kind of situation? God bless you. God2man.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do People Don't Like To Go Church Any More? by God2man(m): 7:50am On Jan 28, 2012
Complacency. Too much comfort. No challenges. No problem. Everything seems to be fine in their own reasoning.
Another reason is the weapon of discouragement, inabilty to be patient with the Lord. We are in the jet age already, everybody wants results, breakthrough, testimony, fast, fast and with speed. God does not work that way, he is not a magician, you may pray for sometime and prayers may not be answered, that does not mean God is not caring. You need to show yourself approved unto God after, God has seen your heart, he will now proceed to answer your prayer. We need to pray for the grace to be patient in time of tribulation. God bless you. God2man.
Christianity EtcRe: How To Know If Your Pastor Is Fake. by God2man(m): 7:13am On Jan 28, 2012
One MOG went to Agege in Lagos without bodyguard. The moment people recognized him, they rushed him, they wanted to touch him, at the end of the day, he almost got wouded in that scenario. Bodyguards are there to scare some people who are desperate to touch the man of God or to cause unnecessary distractions. The Bible did not tell us to pray alone, the Bible say: watch and pray. Faith without works is dead. Wise as serpent, harmless as dove. How possible? It takes the grace of God to do this.

A fake pastor is not recognize by bodyguards, you can only know them by their fruits, that is, character. Your character is what you are, when no one is watching, when you are alone. What you do in secret. If anybody regards himself as pastor and you find it difficult to see the friuts of the spirit in him, then you may be under the leadership of a wolf in sheep's clothing.God bless you. God2man.
Christianity EtcRe: Should I Always Expect Blessings Each Time I Give To God? by God2man(m): 11:22pm On Jan 27, 2012
Naturally, one will always expect result after giving, but you need to know that your LOVE for God is paramount in this regard. First thing first, surrender your life to him, then it will be easier to give without expecting anything. One thing is sure, harvest time can only be determine by God. You have to continue to plant your seed on a Good soil faithfully, after which the Lord will touch the heart of somebody to bless you. Love for God is the first thing. Do you really care for the things of God? Seek first the kingdom of God and the rest will be added after you have been tested and approved by God. It takes time for a seed of mango to get to a stage of harvest. May the Lord give you wisdom to do the right thing for progress of his work. God bless you. God2man.
Christianity EtcRe: How Many Pastors Get Rich! by God2man(m): 11:07pm On Jan 27, 2012
Any Pastor that can risk reckless giving will always be bombarded after many days with unthinkable blessings. A seed may look so small but inside that seed is a big tree with friuts. The important thing is to give a GOOD SEED on a fertile land. The GOOD SEED can only come from reckless giving on a good soil, that is, a living church. If you plant your GOOD SEED on a bad soil, that is, a dead church, you may not see any harvest. God bless you. God2man.
Christianity EtcRe: What Pastors Ought To Do With Tithe Money by God2man(m): 8:42pm On Jan 26, 2012
@goshen, for the fact that you have been given tithe, it did not work for you, does not mean that you should now twist the scripture to favour your own discoveries or revelations. Tithe or no tithe, people will continue to give to the work of God,till Jesus comes, christians will even give 90% of their income to God, it cannot be changed. Besides, it is not your business to dictate to christians, how to spend their hard earned money. God bless you. God2man.

Christianity EtcRe: Donate To The Poor And Needy Not Pastors tithe by God2man(m): 3:31pm On Jan 25, 2012
This topic has been on nairaland for about 4 to 7 yrs, it comes with different topics but the bottomline is TITHE. It is an overflogged topic. I have a feeling that people are coming here with different I.D just to create a thread that will become a hot forum. It will be a waste of time to continue to argue and deliberate on who to pay your tithe to, it is not our business to decide for christians where to pay tithe. Obedience to the doctrine of tithe  has been on for decades, even before many of us are born, it is an ancient practice. You can not force people not to pay tithe, it is not possible. Infact, in all the doctrine of giving, Tithe is the least. It is just 10%, nothing else. You still have a whole 90% to yourself, family, friends, poor, needy and various people that need finacial assistance. So, when you find it very hard to release 10% for God, how do we know if you are on the Lord's  side or not. It may interest you to know that some are giving  more than 10% as tithe. How do we know your level of affection for God, when you find it hard to give just 10% to God. God bless you. God2man.
PoliticsRe: What Is The North Doing To Itself. by God2man(m): 11:19am On Jan 21, 2012
This is the true situation in the north, it is a pity that they are doing this to themselves. I am sure the majority of notherners are not happy with the situation of things, they only need somebody that will push them a little bit, and the activities of boko haram will be a thing of the past. Christianity EtcWhat Advise Would You Propose To The Government To Stop Boko Haram? by God2man(op): 3:29am On Jan 21, 2012
For sometime now, the issue of Boko haram has become a serious problem in Nigeria, assuming you are a special adviser to the Goverment on security matters especially on the issue of Boko haram, what do you think can be done to stop Boko haram permanently? Let's say something. It is important, somebody may be reading it. It is not compulsory that you are in a position to advise the Goverment, what is important is what do you think can be done to stop Boko Haram in Nigerai. God bless you. God2man.
PoliticsRe: English Translation Of The Boko Haram Leaflet Been Circulated In Kano by God2man(m): 2:53am On Jan 21, 2012
Boko haram are disadvantaged in terms of number. I do not think they are many. Some of them are illiterate. They are not brave enough to face death. They used drugs. They also need money to perform their evil agenda. Boko haram are more than what the the Nigeria army or police can handle. Boko haram depend on some people to carry out their operations, i believe they used almajiris. My people, i believe that there is nothing that wisdom cannot handle. Let us ask ourselves, how do they get money to finace this evil agenda? How do they spend the money? What other things do they use the money for apart from finacing their operations? The way they have access to money should be blocked. The police should look for the weakness of Boko haram and use this as a bait to capture them, we do not need to be chasing them with guns, it is high time the Nigeria Army or police change their tactics in handling the issue of boko haram, may be they should send those things they cherished after them to deceive them and then capture them, not necessarily gun. The police force or the Army need more sophisticated equipment to confront them. The Government need to wake up, and tackle this problem with an "iron will", they should be focused and determine to stop this evil agenda. Time is running out. There is power in small things that seem to be harmless, or silent, wisdom is profitable in all things. There should be neighbour to neighbour securty agents in the nothern part of Nigeria, this is not the time to sleep with both eyes closed, No. We should all stand up against this evil agenda called Boko haram, remember evil persist, when good people do nothing and lastly christians in the Nothern part of Nigeria must as a matter of necessity form or raise a formidable prayer intercesors continually, everyday and pray an agressive prayer of the psalmist, (psalm 35) to withstand Boko haram in the spiritual realm before they manifest in the physical, we are in a perilious time already, the world is a MAD HOUSE, an effectual fervent prayer of a righeteous man availeth much, it works, we should know that, we have all other options but prayer still remain the best option. God bless Nigerian. God2man.

Christianity EtcRe: Is It Right For Christians To Pay Tithes by God2man(m): 11:55am On Jan 15, 2012
Woe unto you, scribes and pharisees, hypocrites! For ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgement, mercy, faith: these ought ye have done, and NOT TO LEAVE THE OTHER UNDONE. Mathew 23:23

Here, Jesus taught us about tithing;
1. Jesus showed us that tithing is not considered a "Weighty" matter aspect of the law.
2. Jesus showed us that if a christian is unable to tithe, he is disobeying the lesser aspects of God's commandments and is therefore more likely to disobey weightier laws.
3. Jesus showed us that even though we may fulfil the weightier matters of the law, we must still pay tithes.

My friend, first thing first, you are in a strange place to ask this question, because you will be confused. I am not new, here in naiaraland, i had gone though some thread on tithe, anti-thers are more on nairaland than pro-tithers, go to some of the thread and see what wordtalk used to silence anti- tithers, you can search for it you will get more than enough answers to your questions. God bless you. God2man.
Christianity EtcRe: What Does Nigeria Need? by God2man(m): 4:51pm On Jan 09, 2012
What we need is continuos sustained prayers by all true christians, with real dry fasting or chain prayers for several months, cry and weeping before God with humility, asking for the cleansing blood of Jesus to silence those powers that want to drink blood by force and for God to take over the affairs of this nation. infact, if we can do this, it would be better. Violent or forcefulness will leave us with a scar that will be difficult to erase. We need to ask for wisdom to deal with already charged situation. God bless Nigeria. God2man.
Christianity EtcRe: Boko Haram Insurgence: Beware Of January 12 2012 by God2man(m): 3:57pm On Jan 09, 2012
Christians have failed in the area of intercession, i am sure if we take the ministry of intercession seriously, Nigeria will not be like this, we are all praying for breakthrough, there is nothing wrong in it, but our christian life will be balanced if we all christians can unite and do what i call purposeful fasting and prayer, that is we gather together with 2 or 3 days dry fast in a vigil program and cry to God for mercy on our nation. We do this continuosly for several months, with the assistant of a good prophet, (so that we will not pray amiss) It will go a long way. The question is, who is ready to go? God said, and i sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that i should not destroy it: but i find none. Therefore have i poured out mine indignation upon them; i have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have i recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God. God bless you. God2man.

Ask anyone presently holding any political office in Nigeria today, if he has not gone before a shrine to swear or drink a blood to seal an oath. You may find, but they will be very few.
These are the reasons why prayers seem not to be working. Any blood that is shed is powerful, there is life in the blood, it is even more powerful, if an innocent blood of a man is shed.
We are here compailning about the situation of the country, when people have killed innocent blood just to get to a position, and we are saying that it has nothing to do with us. What a pity! Well, if we refused to do what we are suppose to do as christians, things may be exacerbated. Let us do something to help our dear country, it is imporatant, even if it means exposing all politicians involved in one ritual or another, to cleanse our land of innocent blood. You see, God will find it difficult to bless a nation where innocent blood are shed daily, there is something known as the curse of the innocent. The only way we can be free is to expose them, ask for the cleansing blood of the lamb, to cleanse our land, those politicians too, need to confess their sins and forsake them, this way, we will be making a tremendous progress in this country, or else, we will continue to pray without much success, or very little impact of answered prayers. God bless Nigeria. God2man.

The Nigeria situation is more that what people think, if it is just one day or two days prayer, it will be okay, but we have a very big and complex problem in our hands, it is very deep, all we need to do is to continue in our prayers, although many believed we do not need prayer but force, well, history is in the best position to answer that question. Let us be careful here, i will not label GEJ as an occult man nor Pastor Adeboye, it is not good for their offices, it shows we do not respect our leaders. However, we need to know, where our political leaders stand, is it with God? Or the devil? It is not possble to serve the two together.
Some leaders are born to lead, some have leadership entrusted on them, some struggle to become a leader, some became a leader by chance or luck. Some people inherit it. Leadership is not a tea party, it requires a lot of thinking, taking risky decisions that will affect the next generation positively. GEJ may be facing some uneasy situation now, my prayer is that God should help him to do the right thing. God bless Nigeria. God2man.

Let us learn from this true life story. One of our political leader in this country gave his chauffeur a directive to take him to a particular place, this politcian went to the bush, while the chauffeur was waiting, this chauffeur waited and waited for a long time, this our so call leader refused to come back, so, this chauffeur took it as responsibilty to look for his boss, when he got there, Alas! This particular politician was bathing with blood. This politician asked him; what did you see? The politician warned his chauffeur not to reveal the secret to anybody. This chauffeur died after sometime.
Let us be frank now, majority of our leaders are deep into the occult, some of them have gone too far with the devil. Why? They want to be in that position by all means. They will sacrifice anything just to get to that position. There are chronic herbalists that will do JUJU for them, so that they can acheive their heart desire.
You see, it will be difficult to understand all these mysteries, it will take, a great spiritual insight to understand what some politicians have done to get to their present position. The truth is that there is no way such a leader will think straight, it is not possible for such a leader to be creative. It will take the grace of God and the mercy of God for such leader to affect his generation for good. God bless you. God2man.
Christianity EtcRe: Where Is The Nigerian Church by God2man(m): 4:27am On Jan 08, 2012
@ frosbel, you are right sir, however, i still believe that there are few churches, very few, that are making things to be a little bit better for the country, the Nigerian situation would have been more terrible than the present situation, many thanks to the REMNANT.
Let's face it, Yes, we have been praying, the truth is that, we have failed in the ministry of intercession, it is now, ME and MY FAMILY. Nobody really cares about the affairs of the nation or what to do about christians in muslim states on how to assist them in prayer. We need to wake up from our spiritual slumber and gather together, call a solemn assembly, let us lift up holy hands and cry to God for mercy or else our children or the next generation will not forgive us, if we allow christianity to be swept away as a result of our laxity in the ministry of intercession. God bless you. God2man.

Christians on nairaland, this question has been on my mind, i asked somebody, he told, he is a member of olumba, olumba. I also gather from a coded information from a man of God that he is not a christian. What do you think? Has he been washed in the precious blood of the lamb or just a nominal christian? I am not here to judge him or destroy him, i just feel that we need to discuss this and offer possible solution, because a leader has great influence and inspiration on his people. God bless Nigeria. @freecocoa, you have a such wonderful gift. You are highly favoured. God neglected every other person and came to talk to you. You need to take this gift to another level, where you can hear God clearly. Let's go back to the topic; what you need to do is to pray against the spirit of death and hell assigned against your sister and every member of your family. Then speak the word of God," i shall not die but live to declare the works of God". Also, if there is any sin, that is giving the spirit of death and hell, legal ground to attack your sister, it means you need to call your sister and ask her some questions about her christian life, remember, he that confess and forsake his sin shall have mercy. It is important. Your sister need to review and check her relationship with God, something might have gone wrong, that is giving the enemy a legal spiritual ground to attack yo You can now, join hands together in prayer, "if two of you shall agree on anything on earth, it shall be done by my father in heaven" and REVERSE, CANCEL,DESTROY the dream. God bless you. God2man.

Great thread. God has already given man the power to dominate over everything on earth, he has handed over to man to dominate according to Genesis 1:26; and psalm 8:6 "thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet". Unfortunately, man lost the greater part of this priviledge as a result of sin, precisely after the fall of man in Genesis 3. Then man started to seek the face of God.
Many people believed that we have prayed enough and that prayer cannot solve our problem, but the truth is that if all christians in Nigeria can unite together in one accord in fasting, prayer and weeping and cry to God that Boko haram should be disgraced and silenced forever in Nigeria, it shall be so. It has happened few years ago during the time of abacha, there is nothing that is too hard for God to do, if only we can do the right thing as a christian Boko haram will become history, let me tell you, as a christian, we have more than enough weapon in God's armoury to fight this battle, we can use fire, brimstone, wind, confusion, thunder, fear, blindness, and the rest, if only we can pray. May God help us. God2man.

A 24 hours prayer chains need to be organize now, for all christians. Prayer chain can be described as hour by hour prayer where somebody will pray from 12:00am-1:00am and another person will take it from 1:00am to 2:00am. It will go like that for one day. Praying and interceding for places all over the world where christians are presently under intense persecution. It shall be well. In Jesus name. God bless you. God2man.

I have been talking about these things for some time now. If christians are not doing what they are suppose to do there may be more blood shed in the nothern part of Nigeria, there is an evil agenda on ground now, and it is still in operation. The only thing we can do as christians is to form an intercessory group in our various churches irrespective of your denomination and stand in the gap for your christians brethren in the north, that God should empower the security agents to put an end to this strong satanic agenda. We need to pray that God should have mercy on his people in the north. It is not only prayer, we must watch also. It is not an advise but a necessity. May God help us. God bless you. God2man.

I like your zeal. It seems many christians are not taking this thing serious, it is more than what you can imagine. Christians need to gather together and humble themselve before the Lord with prayer of repentance for our dear country Nigeria, i know we have been praying, Yes, that does not mean we should be discourage, Read Luke 18. The book of James also gave us an assurance that "the effecual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much". Some are clamouring we should not pray, we have prayed enough. NO. The way God will answer prayer is not our business. He will surely answer, in his own time. What else can we do? It is not a physical battle, it is against principality, powers, spiritual wickedness in high places, Ephesian 6:12. when the bible says wickedness, it is real wickedness. Is killing an innocent baby not wickedness? What about destroying and killing people on the day of christmas? It is more than madness, it can be described as wickedly wicked. We should do something. God bless you. God2man.
