We keep reading negative stories about our country everyday. We are too pessimistic, we do not care for our fatherland. We have failed to realize that we are rooted in nigeria, it is our foundation. It will be nice if we can focus on the good things Nigerians are doing.
Let me give you an example, there is a man in Lagos, as i am writing now, this man still lives in Lagos, he purchased some buses to transport school children free of charge, without collecting money from those kids, this man is passionate about this country, he wants things to change. There are other things this man is doing to help his community.
Some posters here said they have been attacked one way or the other when they came to Nigeria, my question is, what did you do to assist your immediate member of your family? I believe that in this world whatever you sow you shall reap. If you do good to that helpless member of your family, he will be the one that God will use to protect you in the day of trouble, but if somebody approached you for help and you feel unconcern, you may be digging your own grave.
Attitude is everything. Be nice. A little drop of water make a mighty ocean. One good turns here and there will eventually spread to the whole nation. The reverse is the case, an evil deed here and there will become a big dragon that will be difficult to kill.
So, it begins with you and me. When we start something and we believe in ourselves that things will change for the better. It will defnitely change, but if we keep on castigating our leaders without doing anything to assist them, then we are heading for destruction.
@poster,violence breeds violence. It is not the best option. Yes, people will die, what about innocent children, they will die too, so, what is the point? The best thing to do is look out for those small but great things we can do to help our country. There are many things we can do, we can write books, we can form an organization, we can be the best in our profession and be an example to others, we can give to needy, we can sponsor indigent student, we can open a secondary school, we can create a leadership school to teach people about leadership and so on.
Although one sinner destroys so many things, but we can still be the person Nigerians are looking forward to see in a new Nigeria to come.

You can only know the true prophet by the fruits of the spirit in him. Some prophets can see, but they won't give you solution to your problem, they will just deceive you with their juju.

True prophet will never deceive you, they will say it as GOD says it.
True prophets are very scarce, you rarely meet them, but anytime you meet them, you will know that they are God's servant. You need to know that you are a prophet of yourself, you only need to develop yourself to this level. When you move close to God, he moves closer to you, when you go far away from God, he will also move far away.
You have just exprienced one of the various ways that God speaks to man.

Job 1:6" Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and satan came also among them.
The agents of darkness are in the church, they are after the church to pull it down, they have been commissioned to carry out certain assignments, to pull down a true child of God, and also MOG. They will not wait for you to destroy them, they will appear in the church to cause trouble. It is only an ignorant christian that will joke with them.
As a church what we need to do is to control this seductive dressing, and expose them, this way they will caution themselves whenever they are coming to church.
Of course, we cannot stop them from coming to the church, we cannot also allow our weak brethren especially the youths to be corrupted with unholy dressing, what we need to do and already MFM is doing it, they will allow them to come to the church, if they are in the front of the church, to fire arrow of lust against the preacher, the ushers will kindly caution them to move to the back, if they insist, there are task force groups in the church to deal with them. You know, they can be very stubborn. Mfm will allow them to come, after some time they will advise them to change their skimpy dresses, they will give them better dresses that cover their unclothedness. This way, they will think twice before coming to the church in such a horrible manner.
It is a difficult topic, why? The church will be accused of lack of love, but the church is wiser than them. That is why people speak against the church about things they know nothing about. They criticized MOG as if they are kids. God will help us.

Many chistians point accusing finger at their leaders, forgetting that they have a great responsibilty to intercede for their leaders. If you see a brother go back to his vomit or fall from grace as a result of one sin or the other, we are not to mock him, the first thing to do is to point the accusing finger to ourselves and say i should have done something to avoid it.
It will take a great level of maturity to say it is my fault or i accept responsibility for what happened. We will need a good eyesight to discover our own fault.
Revival begins the day we begin to question ourselves about the way things are going in the christendom and start to do something to salvage the situation rather than criticizing those who are above us in terms of spiritual achievement.
Issaiah said woe unto me for i am a man of unclean lips. He did not acknowledge the fact he had unclean lips until he met the Lord. Read issaiah chapter 6.
It is obvious that many christians have not met the Lord, the day you meet the Lord, you will see yourself clearly and then you will stop judging people by the outward appearance but by what God reveals to you.

We are all quick to find faults in others, we complained, we criticized, infact, we at our best when it comes to preaching to others, we have forgotten that we wil be judged as well.
Paul said i bring myself under subjection lest when i have preached to others i myself should be a cast away.
You will do yourself a great favour, if can sit down, take a biro, and a sheet of paper, then write down all those things you have done wrong. Look at yourself in the mirror and submit the list to God in prayer for Grace to corect them, this way, you will become a better person because you will be able to see clearly things other people are doing wrong. I can't really confirm that the book of isaiah is the most quoted, but i know that it is a prophetic book, it is full of divine revelations, when you are looking for information about the divine blueprints for the messiah you can always bank on the book of issaiah.

My best book in the Bible will always be the book of Psalm. It is a powerful book, for example, you can read psalm 91 while you are embarking on a journey, you can read psalm 23 while you are about to sleep, you can read psalm 2 and 24, 35 for spiritual warfare, for thanksgiving psalm 136 come in handy, for praises psalms 146-150, for repentance psalm 51. For general purpose psalm 91 is classical. If you want to be a spiritual giant memorize the whole psalms from the first chapter to the last chapter that is psalms 1-150. History made us to know that Apostle J.A Babalola of C.A.C memorized the whole book of psalms.
It is a biblical fact that David was a man after God's own heart, although david did not write the whole of the psalms, but reading and memorizing the book of psalms will make you to understand what is in the heart of God, for example, holiness, psalm 15"Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

A good christian will be at a great advantage over the devil, if he can understand all the mysteries in the book of psalms.

When it comes to the things of God, you have to accept the fact that God is not something you put inside a test tube for experiment.

Speaking in tongue is mysterious.
Imagine! Somebody in Nigeria speaking chinese language fluently. He may be speaking in an unknown tongue. It is beyond human reasoning. Logical analysis is not an issue. You just have to accept the fact that a mysterious world like the one we are, require a mysterious action to control it. Mysterious problem is begging for mysteriuos prayer to handle it.

Testimonies are many on how God restored trouble marriages, is it beyond God? No. Let God restore the first love back into your home. What is impossible with man is possible with God. The cele people may know one or two things about revelations, the truth is that they do not have solutions to deep problems like covenants, curses, evil foundations, spirit husband and parental bondage.
@poster, covenant is made by having se.x with a lady, this is a fact, another fact is that you may not need to sleep with a woman before covenant is made. The Devil is so wise. It is possible to unconsciously enter into evil covenant unknowingly, it is possible. I would therefore advise you to seek for solution elsewhere. I mean a living church where you will need to break known and unknown covenants by fervent prayers, it is refer to as deliverance. God bless you. God2man.

There is nothing wrong if the husband is facing tough time and the wife use her money to lift the family, no condition is permanent, life is not straight. Things may look rough for the man today, but that does not mean, the man will not rise up again. A good wife should be able to assist her husband in the period of hardship. @goshen360, the sin unto death the bible is refering to could be the sin against the holyspirit, i mean the unforgivable sin.

There are various factors that influenced answer to prayers.
Sin, unforgivenness, lack of faith, when you are inconstistent in the things of God. Wrong prayers, lack of patient, curses and evil convenants, evil foundations, when you are very stingy in relation to tithe and offerings, and so on.
The bottom line is there is an appointed time for all answers to prayers. Wait. God's time may be slow, but it will surely come to pass. Besides, do not compare yourself to other christians that have already got their testimonies, you need to ask God to speak to you in the language you will understand. God bless you. God2man.

Sir, i think it is better to be optimistic about the situation of Nigeria. I believed there are Good people in Nigeria, honest, pure, men of integrity. Sir, search for the positive things in Nigeria, you will see them. All these good things may not be many but it is better than none. Other countries have their own problems, there is no perfection anywhere. Another name for this world his trouble, if it is not the will of God for you to leave this country, and you insist on leaving, it may spell doom.

We know that the wages of sin is death, Roman 6:23, but what is the meaning of these two verses 1 John 5: 16-17 "
if any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. THERE IS A SIN UNTO DEATH: i do not say that he shall pray for it.

If he is finding it difficult to relocate, let him grab the most powerful prayer manual ever written by Dr. D.K Olukoya, i mean PRAYER RAIN. There are different kinds of prayer that will take care of difficult situations like this.
For protection, you can always bank on Psalm 91. It is classical. It will only work if you have truly repented from your sins and be on the fire of the Holy ghost. I am sure, he is going to give testimony very soon. God bless you. God2man.

My first advice to you is to seek the Lord through fasting and prayer as regards what the Lord wants you to study in university. Don't be in a hurry for the Lord will speak. Most times, when God speaks, it might really not be the thing that will suite your desire hence He uses the foolish things to confront the wisdom of this world.

Remember Jesus, when He wanted to start His purpose, he prayed and fasted 40 days, am not saying you should fast 40 days anyway but with that, He didn't make the wrong choice when He was to choose his disciples. You might say but he chose Judas, that is a mystery that am not talking about here anyway.

Lack of quality teachers. Imagine a teacher that was assisted one way or the other from primary school to the university, a teacher that lacked self confidence, even in the teacher training, he was helped to pass. Now, tell me, what is he going to teach the student?
This thing never stops, it goes on. This same student will eventually become a teacher in the future, he will be teaching them what he has been taught by the fake teacher.
The corruption will move to the leadership level, producing corrupt politicians.
What we need now is training and retraining of teachers at all levels, this way, there will be an improvement in the quality of education in the country. God bless you. God2man.

@goshen, having gone though your revelations, you have a point, it is possible for the power of God to be faked, it is possible, whenever you see the original, there must be a counterfeit, some angel of darkness disguise as angel of light. There are ministers of God that have gone to acquire power from the sea or forest, do not be confused, they were true ministers of God, but when they fell from the grace given to them by God, they needed to maintain their former status, so, they had to do something to remain relevant. You have a point.
However, the book of Luke 4:33-34" And in the synagogue there was a man,which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and CRIED Out with a loud voice,
saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy one of God.
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had THROWN him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not."
Here, there is a confrontation between two kingdoms, the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness. I think you should know better, the devil will not leave a place he has dominated for many years without fighting, he will ask questions, he will argue, he will cry, he will shout, he will tear, he will react violently. As a result of all these reactions, many people will eventually fall, why? There is a confrontation. Some people may even fall and will not be able to do anything, they will just be on the ground like that for some time after that they will wake up again. During the time they are on the ground, deliverance is going on in the spiritual realm. What i am telling is not a story, i am telling what i see with my eyes wide open. It is the annointing of God that break the yoke.
The power of God can be faked.

There are reasons behind every problem, things don't just happen, there are consequences for everything we do, Good or bad. There are technicalities, ordinances and legalities behind every problem facing man. Until God open our spiritual eyes to see the mystery behind our problems, and appropriate the power in the blood to nullify the havoc done to our foundations. Many will suffer from cradle to the grave.
You have to make up your mind to change your family history. If you do not know the history of your family, you do not know anything. YOU CAN CHANGE THE HISTORY OF YOUR FAMILY, if you want to.
First thing to do is to accept that there is a problem, and you want to change it. You need to pray what we call the prayer of inquiry, asking God to reveal to you reasons behind your problem.
You also need to work hard on yourself, discipline your body, read books, fast continuously with serious prayer. Then pray targeted prayers to address the problem.

Another case study from today's OPEN HEAVENS, daily devotional, by Pastor E.A Adeboye,TARGET THE ROOT, february 25,2012. I quote from the second paragraph:

"Some brothers from the same parents struggled through life. One of them was a Pastor. The difficulty encountered in that family negatively affected his ministry. She told him the only thing she could recall took place several years before while she was a spinster. Her parents were wealthy and quite influential. An incident occured involving their family, which led to the death of a member of one of the less priviledge families in the neighbourhood. But instead of proper restitution or justice from the court of law, her family used their wealth to bury the matter. What they thought was over, unknown to them was just beginning. The aggrieved family made certain pronouncements against her family. They said if there was no more wealth in that family, they would cease to oppress the poor. Since then, wealth,progress and the likes became a rarity. After deliberations, they decided to trace that family. They found one aged man still alive. When confronted with facts of the case, the man confirmed it. They asked how they could right their wrong and he said the victim of oppression had not been buried for lack of money. He said if they can give him a befitting burial, they would be left off the hook. They did. Not long afterwards, wealth, prosperity and progress returned to their family. The pastor's ministry witnessed a boom and became large successful. Many people are where they are in spite of fasting, deliverance and other efforts because attempts at resolving their matter are not getting at the root. Ask God to unveil the root of that problem to you. Take necessary corrective measures and you will be free." End of quote.

History is the chronicle of your yesterday, or simply put, history is the past events. It has a natural phenomenon, or special style, history always repeat itself. History is like a castle built to last longer for generations, it flows like a river from generations to generations.
Everyone has history with the connection with the family they belong. There is a root. There is a platform. There is a foundation, they build upon. They never learn from their mistakes, they repeat blunders. They repeat errors.
Psalm 11:3" if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
Now,what is foundation? It is the history of your father and mother. It is the kind of people your ancestors were, it is your background.
It is the beginning of beginnings.
It is the platform provided for you by your ancestors, it is your ROOT.
A case study- i read this event on nairaland recently, the father impregnated his daughter of about 29, in Lagos. The name of the daughter is Zina. Zina insisted, she wanted to see his father by all means, fortunately, the father was located here in Lagos. The mother had to send zina to meet her father. Alas! The father slept with her own daughter, and she put to bed a baby.
It was this same father that impregnated the mother at the age of 13, the mother could not learn any lesson from the past event, she made a terrible blunder by sending the daughter to meet his father(which is necessary anyway) without proper monitoring and caution.
The truth is that we cannot pretend to overlook our family history, we need to know that it has a great tendency to repeat itself. Let us read it slowly. More to come. God bless you. God2man.
