No one in the Bible preached more about Hell than Jesus. Jesus is the embodiment of God’s grace and truth, and yet He talks about Hell.

Love warns because love doesn’t want to see loved ones suffer harm.

If from your home window you saw your loved one crossing the road downstairs, and a speeding vehicle was charging towards them, wouldn’t you shout out an urgent warning to them?

Jesus warned about Hell because He knows how terrible that place is for the tormented souls.

It is a place that is so torturous, that it is better to cut off your hands, feet and gouge out your eyes, than to end up in Hell. Think about that!

Many are not preaching about Hell correctly. Yes it’s hot and full of undying worms, but only an unbeliever can go there upon death.

Preaching about Hell is powerful in evangelism. It presents the problem that mankind needs saving from. Why would a person think he needs to be saved, if he doesn’t know the consequence of not being saved?

Preaching about Hell should be appropriately combined with the truth about the Ten Commandments of the Law—that we have all sinned and failed to keep them.

Because God is so holy, He cannot allow sinful man in His presence, so the departed spirit of a sinner must be imprisoned in Hell, forever separated from the joys of Heaven. The spirit is eternal and never ceases to exist, so the torment continues forever.

If committing a crime against an earthly king is deserving of death, then what punishment is fitting for committing a lifetime of sins against the King of Heaven and earth?

God is exceedingly patient towards sinners, giving them chances throughout their lifetime to hear about Jesus, and to seek the true God in prayer.

The Ten Commandments must be kept perfectly in both thought (inward) and deed (outward) if one desires to be justified through it. One transgression is enough to condemn a person to Hell.

“For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all. For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not commit murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.” (James‬ ‭2:10-11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

It is impossible for man to keep the Law, because of sin in the flesh that we inherited from Adam. From the moment we were born, we were tainted by sin and pre-disposed to commit sin.

Left to ourselves, we would surely be condemned to Hell.

But because God loves us—His creation who are made in His image, He sent Jesus to pay the full price of our sins, so that we would not have to bear the punishment ourselves.

Our sins were laid upon Jesus Christ at the cross, and God the Father poured out His fiery wrath against sin upon Jesus at the cross. He bore your punishment, so that you can go free.

Jesus was then raised from the dead on the third day, never to die again, to proclaim that your sins have really been paid in full.

Had He not been a perfect substitute for you, He wouldn’t have been raised to eternal life in a glorified body.

There would be no righteous basis for that to happen if He was a sinner.

But because He is sinless, Death had no claim over Him. He rose victoriously, testifying that all our sins have been forgiven.

When you place your faith in Jesus as Lord, you’re accepting Jesus’ payment on your behalf, and you are forgiven of all the sins that you will ever commit.

Think about it: when did Jesus die for you? When your parents were not even born yet. All your sins were future sins, and He bore the punishment for them all.

All charges that were formerly against you are cleared because they were imputed to Jesus at the cross.

Through faith in Him, you are reborn as a perfectly righteous spirit, adopted into God’s own family.

You are reconciled to God, and will enjoy eternal life with Him.


Hell is real, but preachers need to stop using it to intimidate born-again believers into behavior modification! Fear and insecurity can never produce the fruit of holy living. Only the Gospel truly transforms!

We have to keep hearing the good news of how through Jesus’ finished work at the cross, all our sins have been totally forgiven. It is only through the revelation of believing how great this forgiveness you have received is, that you will produce the good fruit of loving God and fellow men.

Once in a while, pause and remind yourself how great is this salvation you have received. You have been snatched out of Hell’s mouth, and safely placed in Christ, at God’s right hand in Heaven.

“Rescue those who are being led away to death! Indeed, hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter! If you say, “Behold, we didn’t know this”; doesn’t he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, doesn’t he know it? Shall he not render to every man according to his work?” (Proverbs‬ ‭24:11-12‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

I am sure there are more than 500 topics on tithe alone on nairaland forum since this forum came on line.

With all these discussions, people are still paying tithes in churches.
There are expenses in the church that the tithe money will take of. The Church of God has needs.

Leave people that are paying tithe alone, they are answerable to God.

Sometimes, you think you are defending God not knowing that you actually fighting God.

If you don't want to pay, never discouraged those who are paying with scriptural backing, you may think you are right with your scriptural backing when you are actually fighting God.

If I were you, I will just leave the things of God for God to judge not using my own theological knowledge to defeat those who are paying tithes.

Let's take it easy.

This leads us to the unpredictability of human nature, man is unpredictable, you cannot predict the person you know today because tomorrow, the person will deny you, the person can turn against you tomorrow depending on the circumstances that favor him or her.

Your best friend today may be your worst enemy tomorrow, ordinary man in the streets that you don't even know may be your saviour when trouble comes.

However, it is difficult for your worst enemy to suddenly becomes your friend, if it happens, then you should watch out.

The word, friend has been deceptively used overtime to confuse, deceive, manipulate, steal, kill and eventually destroy people.

In life, we only see people as they are but not who they really are, we see the outward appearance, smiling, cheering, respecting, laughing, clapping and embracing us with so much happiness but inwardly they are not who we think they are, they are ravenous wolves in sheep clothing. They are serpent. They are chameleons.
Beware of the chameleons, a chameleon is something that disguises itself to look as much like its environment as possible.

Human beings are like chameleons that change their behaviors to meet up with the current situation in order to get what they want at that particular time.

Jeremiah 17:9"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

How do we recognize a true friend?

First, we need to know the meaning of the word' friend 'before we go further.


Who is a friend?


Google defined friend as a person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically one exclusive of sexual or family relation.

Full meaning of friend:

A person who you know well and who you like a lot, but who is usually not a member of your family.

Who is a friend according to the Bible?

Proverbs 17:17" A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity"

At all times, bad times, good times,tough times, time of sickness, time of pain, time of disappointment, when things are hard, when you are facing rough time, business is down, no sales, no money, no cash, when people mock you and speak bad about you.

Real friends or true friends have decided to stay with you to the end, through thick and thin, not for what they can get out of it but to support you in the time of failure and adversity because they understood that life is cruel and sometimes, life doesn't give us what we deserve but they have decided to show what is called empathy, which is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. True friends identify with you in your trouble, they are like-minded individuals who are sensible to know that it is more rewarding to befriendly in bad times than in good times. Life is a circle. What goes round comes round. It is your turn today,it may be my turn tomorrow. No one knows tomorrow. Life is unpredictable. It is good to help if it is within your capability.


Let's go further, in order to expose friends who are unfriendly, or friends who pretend to be our friends but inwardly they are our enemies, we need to know how to recognize a good friend, a true friend or a real friend.

No matter how long the friendship last, 20 children cannot play together forever, friends will come and go but the good friend will accept you for who you are not what they can get from you.

True friends really care by their behaviors.
Jesus taught us on how to recognize a false prophet, he said by their fruits you shall know them. Matthew 7:20.

When the Bible says by their fruits you shall know them, it means by their actions, behaviors and character, you shall know them.

Real friends are recognize by the way they stayed with you during hard times, they are not there to judge you, they are not there to hurt your feelings, they demonstrate humility, kindness and respect. When you see him or her, you enjoy his or her company. Real friends will tell you the truth even when it is hard for you to hear.

They will not destroy you at your back. They will not like to gossip about you but rather call you secretly or openly to counsel you gently not with harsh words. They will pray for you without your knowledge. They are secret intercessors. They are ready to partner with you in prayer to solve your problem. They are ready to go hungry and fast together with you in prayers to God. They are good listener. They make you smile. They will buy recharge card and call you on phone to ask about your well being. They will pray for you on phone. They are not pretenders. These are real people. True friends.
David and Jonathan in the Bible are perfect example of real friends.

Who is an unfriendly friend?

Unfriendly friend is someone who pretends to be your friends but he is actually your enemy.

Such an individual will respect and say pleasant things about you while you are talking but immediately you finish talking and leave your presence, he will start to bring you down before everyone, he will say evil things about you and condemn you.

An unfriendly friend will gather information about you and use it against you in order to get what he wants, be it, promotion, contract, money, cash or gifts.

An unfriendly friend will block good things from coming your way and lead you to the one that is bad.

Unfriendly friend is a killer and they are on assignment to steal, kill and destroy.

Unfriendly friend doesn't care about your life, they are wicked, callous and dangerous.

Unfriendly friends are always available when they need something from you,

Unfriendly friend is someone who argues without any reasonable point and he is cursing, condemning by giving his own opinion, he has no interest in the truth.



Unfriendly friend is always bringing up his own ideas, his own agenda and he is always talking about his ideas without willing to embrace other people's opinions.

Unfriendly friend will join others to gang up against you.

Unfriendly friend is envious of your achievement.

Unfriendly friend sheds crocodile tears and show empathy with you but behind you, he says " God catch am"

Unfriendly friend will go about wicked places to circulate your names for ritual purposes.

Unfriendly friend wants to move higher in life while you go down. He will continue to push you down by all means.

Unfriendly friend are over my dead body enemy, they are ready to sacrifice anything include their own lives just for you to go down in life or die

Unfriendly friend will continue to judge wrongly even though you are doing the right thing.

Unfriendly friend calls you Pastor, Evangelist, Prophet or Deacon in your presence but call you fake christian at your back, he will say," he is not a christian."


How do you handle these people?

The spiritual world controls the physical world so you need to be connected to the spirit realm by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour, Jesus knows the heart of men.
Jesus will lead you and reveal the person to you.

Always pray for the ability to discern spirit. Pray that God should open your eyes to see the person not physically but spirituality

Mind what you say to people.

Learn how to keep things to yourself.

Trust in God,use your brain and apply wisdom from God.

Talk less and listen more.

Decide that you will not say anything.

Silence is golden.

You can also ask God, who is this person?
God will reveal his true identity, if only you can pray.

Your night dream can also be a way of detecting unfriendly friend.

Pray that God should turn the information in the hands of your unfriendly friend against you to foolishness.

Lastly, let's show ourselves friendly before everyone, let's be friendly instead of making enemies, if we decide to show ourselves unfriendly we position ourselves as unfriendly friends too before everyone.

Topic: THE MYSTERY OF VOICES (2)
Text: Exodus 4:8, 1 Corinthians 14:10

Last week Manna Water service, we began to look at "The Mystery of Voices." Our prayers today will be concentrated on this. It is good to listen to this message very carefully. There are voices that are bombarding man day and night. Whether we like it or not, we hear many voices. We hear voices both day and night. And as humans, we are created to hear voices. The Bible makes us to understand that God speaks. There is the voice of God. There are other voices too. And so, human beings hear those voices.

The lamentable tragedy is this, which is where prayer is needed is that: many of us hear and listen to the wrong voices. Sometimes, we hear the right ones, but we do not obey them. The purposes of voices are to:
- direct our lives
- advise us
- counsel us
- lead us
-dominate our lives
- direct our lives and
- to make us do what they want us to do.

That is why the Bible says "there is no voice without signification". Every voice has an agenda. Voices are made to direct us, advise us, counsel us, redirect our lives, and so on.

There are voices that speak within, there are voices that speak without; there are voices that speak around. Those voices may be loud or quiet. You alone may hear those voices, those close to you may not hear. The voices may even be in the dream. They may be in the heart. They can be through the books you read.

They can be through a play. They can be through music. They can be through lectures. They can speak to your heart and ears, to advise; either positively or negatively. This is bottom line. This is why we should be getting ready to start praying now. The voice you listen to will determine your destiny. "Moses, Moses". It was the voice of God. He listened to it. It determined his destiny. "Samuel, Samuel." It was the voice of God. He listened to it. It determined his destiny.

"Tell me the secret of your power". That was the voice of Delilah unto Samson. Samson listened to that voice and he tragically destroyed himself.

So, the voice you listen to, will determine your direction in life. The voice you listen to will determine your destination in life. The bottom line is that: where you are now is as a result of the obedience of the voices you have been listening to. What is happening in your life now or in your state now is due to the listening ears you gave to some voices that have been speaking to you.

So the voices you hear can bring:
- prosperity,
- peace,
- destruction.

People can hear physical voices, they can also hear spiritual voices. But the one you now listen to, is a personal choice. No one will force you to obey a particular voice. That is, you can hear so many voices, but the choice of who you obey is yours. Your ears may be blocked or opened to some voices. That is why the Bible talks about some people whose ears have been blocked.

The bottom line of what I am telling you in this Manna Water service is that you must now program yourself and grow to the level where you can discern which voices you listen to.

People have listened to strange voices and have been involved in many tragedies. Some will listen to strange voices and even argue with you that it is God speaking to them, but whereas what they are hearing is a strange voice.

===> I am praying for somebody here: any strange voice assigned to confuse you, any strange voice assigned to steal from you, any strange voice from the grave, speaking against you, I command them to be silenced, in the name of Jesus! (A sevenfold amen).

The Bible talks about the voices of angels. The Bible talks about the voices of idol worshippers. The Bible talks about the voices of mockers.

===> I am praying for somebody here: any mocking voice targeted against your life, shall be buried here tonight, in the name of Jesus!

The Bible talks about the voice of reproach. The Bible talks about demonic voice.

===> I am praying for somebody here: any voice that will redirect your destiny and your life into destruction, let that voice be silenced, in the name of Jesus! (A sevenfold amen).

The Bible talks about the voice of pride. The Bible talks about the voice of the Lord, and it is that voice of the Lord that overrules all other voices. The Bible says "Who is he that speaks, and it comes to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?" So, it is the voice of God that has overruling power over other voices.

People talk to us on deliverance that they hear voices trying to confuse them, voices trying to redirect their lives. So, voices are very powerful entities, and every voice has its own meaning.

You must recognise that there are many types of voices in this world and the purpose of those voices is to influence us. And like I told you last week, listening to the right voice is a master key to success. Listening to the wrong voice will be the making of tragic mistakes.

The fact that somebody said "God said" or "God told me" does not mean he is hearing God. There are many who claim to be hearing God but they are actually hearing strange voices from the pit of hell. There is a Babel of voices confronting us everyday.

There is a pounding thunder of voices beating continuously on our ear drums and in our hearts. There are voices coming from beneath, from around, from around us. We are surrounded by voices. Judas heard Satan's voice, and he betrayed Jesus. Peter too heard Satan's voice. He did not believe the voice of Jesus. Peter was rebuked.

===> I pray that you will not hear the wrong voice, in the name of Jesus.

So the question is:
Which voice do you hear?
Which voice do you follow?
Which voice do you obey?

We cannot avoid hearing voices but we can avoid obeying the wrong ones. So ability to discern what is of God, what pretends to be God and what is not of God is a master key to success. It is a master key to detect false teachers and to spot fakes now that they are so many and talking around us. There are so many thousands and thousands of prophets on the mountains. There are so many of them around the beaches, speaking and saying "God said". This is not an age where you should allow yourself to be deceived.

In categories of voices, there is:
1. The voice of the Lord. In categories of voices, the voice of God comes first. The voice of the Lord is the most important voice you need to hear. He said "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." The voice of God speaks the mind of God. It is His voice that says "follow me, I will make you a Fisher of men", "take up your cross, and follow me", "occupy till I come", "take my yoke and learn of me", "will thou be made whole?", "prepare, I am coming", "come unto me".

The voice of the Lord is a shepherd's voice. It says "follow me". The voice of the Lord is a master's voice. It says "occupy till I come". The voice of the Lord is a teacher's voice. It says "learn of me". The voice of the Lord is a physician's voice. It has the ability to make one whole. The voice of the Lord is the voice of a friend. It says " open the door I will come in and sup with you". The voice of the Lord is The Saviour's voice. It says "come unto me".

It is the most important voice we need to hear. That is why I sang that song last week that says:
Jesus calls us; o’er the tumult
Of our life’s wild, restless sea,
Day by day His sweet voice soundeth,
Saying, “Christian, follow Me.”

===> I am praying for somebody here, anything that will block your ears from the voice of God, that will not allow your ears to hear the voice of God, no matter how much you love that thing, I command it to disappear in the name of Jesus!

So in the category of voices, the first Voice which you must learn is the voice of the Lord, and let me tell you one secret: the day you begin to hear the voice of God, that day is the day your progress as a Christian begins.

Anything you can do to hear the voice of God, do it. You run into error when you start a business without hearing His voice. You run into trouble when you get married without hearing His voice. You run into trouble when you follow strange voices and go to where you should not go to, without hearing His voice.

The most important information about anything is: is there any word from the Lord? Sometimes when the voice of the Lord speaks you might not find it palatable. It may be something strange to you. You may even think it is the devil, but it is the voice of God.

2. The voice of the flesh. This is the voice of your carnal nature, craving for satisfaction and pleasure. This is a very serious matter. (Romans 8:6). You must disobey this voice. Do not be like those who are controlled by the flesh. The flesh itself must be put under, so that you do not obey its commands. Practically 99% of "God said" is the flesh that is talking. The flesh is an enemy in our camp. It has a very loud voice and it is a voice we must not listen to. Jesus said "the flesh profiteth nothing: it is the spirit that quickeneth".

- The voice of the mind. This is the voice of your thought processes. It is the thought of your reasoning. If your mind is not transformed by the power of God, if your mind is not regenerated by the power of God, listening to your mind is a disaster. So listening to your un-regenerated mind is a disaster. This is a year that out of those 3 voices I have just covered, you should focus on number one. "Saviour let me hear your voice. I want to hear your voice". There are evil voices that are controlling men day and night.

4. There is the voice of the enemy. many people have heard the voice of the enemy and they have been destroyed.

===> I am praying for such people that every voice of the enemy, that has pushed you to where you are now, the Lord will deliver you now, in the name of Jesus.

The enemy has spoken many into destruction, danger, evil things. Our enemies are not our friends. They are there to steal, to kill and to destroy.

Can you raise up your right hand, and with the best aggression you can gather, shout this prayer at the top of your voice:
PRAY: Voices from the grave, my life is not for sale, die! in the name of Jesus. (Pray it 3 hot times).

There is:
5. The voice of the lust of the eyes.
6. The voice of what people think about you. That is what is harassing you everyday. Whether you do well, do bad, they will speak against you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Their opinions about your life have no effect on your destiny unless you allow it to disturb you. If you allow what they say to affect your mentality, then you are listening to the wrong voice.

Those who are trying to abuse you, saying the words of ridicule and insults to you are uttering voices. The purpose of that voice is to get you into trouble. So it is you who will manage yourself so that those voices will not put you into trouble.

21. The voice of your gifts. The gifts you give like tithes, offerings and the rest all have voices. God said "Cornelius, the offerings you are giving have spoken in heaven".

So God does not only hear our prayers, He also hears the gifts we give. There is a voice in your tithe, offerings, the seeds you sow that is as powerful as the voice of our prayers.

Abraham's gift spoke for him. Abel's gift spoke for him. God promises to invest in anyone who sows to Him because their gifts speak for them. (Proverbs 19:17).
22. The voice of our works. Everything we do is talking. Every work you do, whether good or bad speaks. It has a voice. Cursed money such as bribes has a voice too. We must be very careful which voice we hear.

And they present late because they usually go to herbalists, juju priests and pastors, before they eventually show up in the hospital. 3. Bro, there's no power in the tongue, I'm afraid. Its just like any other organ in the body. Gets its regular blood and nerve supplies from the heart and brain, respectively. 1. Somehow, in your haste to promote your favorite church, you still didn't talk about the OP's question which simply asked why 'generational curses' are not exhibited in the Western World or rather still, the rest of the world(outside Africa)
2. About the Deborah story, did it occur to you that she could have returned the money because of guilty conscience or fear of the curse, and not the supposed action of the 'curse'?
3. We ask patients about the hereditary cause of some diseases like hypertension and diabetes because they are present in genes, and these genes code proteins which interfere with body processes. Through research and continous prayers and testimonies from members, I recently discovered that some MFM prayers are not ordinary prayers, they are actually vomited by the holy ghost, I didn't know this before but after sometime, I came to the conclusion that MFM prayers are surgical prayers that go deep. That worked mysteriously even beyond your imagination, all these are pointer to the fact that God is truly in MFM.

Now, concerning the white people, I told you to meticulously search for the message on YouTube, perhaps, if you had listened to the testimony of the GO about the white man who wanted to commit suicide but the wife brought him to the GO for prayers, in the spirit realm, a man in white garment opened his head as if you open a sardine Can and removed a rope from his brain, immediately, the thought of killing himself stopped. The wife complained that the father also committed suicide, it is in their blood.
Come to think of it, there are 3 major problems with the white, Divorce cases, ailments like cancer, diabetes are very common and Murder in various forms. They may be rich and comfortable but they have issues, if you know what I mean.
