Romance › Re: Parts 1 To 4. by Godalone(m): 11:26am On Jun 13, 2008 |
4 Him: A story of shattered dreams, broken promises and ruined hopes. Nigeria is like a broken clay pot, every trip to the watering hole of development . . . a futile exercise in self-delusion. while the people groan, our leaders squander the national commonwealth Umaru Dikko told us we were not poor since we were'nt eating from the dustbins yet. Yar A dua claims to be ready to take us to the zenith of world economies in 12 years.
Yet all around us despair and pain . . . torment and sorrow surround us. Plenty water . . . none to drink so much money yet so much poverty plenty of land yet pervasive hunger so much gas yet no power.
While we cry in anguish our leaders fall over themselves to eulogise political areaboys like Lamidi Adedibu. While we struggle to recover loot from Europe, men of disrepute gather in Kano to celebrate the 10th yr anniversary of the divinely inspired death of a kleptocrat. Innocent men languish in jail while election riggers get off with a slap on the wrist.
Indeed one year after our government is of benefit only to German doctors . . . I like your words. |

Romance › Re: Should I Marry An Unbeliever? by Godalone(m): 1:59pm On Jun 10, 2008 |
sheniqua: na wa o. How come no Christian bro has asked ?
Regarding your dilemma, the decision is yours but if you're a born again believer, you'll be disobeying the scriptures and you'll regret that union with an unbel. Remember the man is the head of the home what will you do when he asks you to stop fellowshipping or throws your Bibles away? How about when he asks you to get him a bottle of cold gulder or Johnie walker whisky. What if he decides to take on a second wife or consult babalawos at will? How would you feel to see your man playing draft and ludo on a Sunday morning while you head to Church? You'll probably ask Christian friends to pray for you when you should have said obeyed the Bible and not married him in the first instance. Marriage and career choices are probably the 2 most important decisions in anyone's life. If your relationship with Christ our Saviour is of any importance to you,you should know to say no to that man until he gives his life to Christ. I am speaking to you as a married woman. Love is not the only ingredient to a good marriage. Compatibility is equally high up there. You are a good adviser, and you have said it all. @poster, Do not be in a hurry to get married so that you will not regret it at the end of the day.Let me tell you something, if you are one of the sisters that do not dress very well and not socially inclined,no brother will call you for anything.Increase your social live, but do not derail along the line.If you trust your God he will never let you down. You said only unbelievers are calling you, this is serious o.My sister search your life if you have gone wrong somewhere. |

Romance › Re: My Possessive Boyfriend by Godalone(m): 4:58pm On Jun 09, 2008 |
This a very important topic you started. Lives have been maimed and lost in a jealous and possesive relationship. You are equating an imbalanced behavior with love and caring. Dear don't make that mistake. The longer you remain the more difficult the separation will become. If he is constantly calling and hanging onto you the he has become dependent on you and your presence. If you decide to leave it will be an ugly departure. Relationships in which a man say to his woman "its either I'm going to have you or no one else will" started like the one you are in. He is conctantly questioning your fidelity and if he had a car he would have been stalking you around town already. Do yourself a favor, stop arousing his jealousy. Get a ride home with a female. If you must have male friends then end this relationship NOW. You are playing with something that could turn deadly in a snap of the finger.
Good points |

tegachuks: Thanks all for your response. Like what i s wrote in my intial post, lets leave a good legacy for our younger ones an the administrative staffs of Nairaland should effect good administration that will build this forum and not allow those who never knew how they start to spoil their good work and name. However the success of this forum is dependent on you and me; post good articles and ingnore junks.
This is the only forum for now that has reputation in terms of jobs and other stuffs like entertament. 'Charity they say begin from home'. To my own understanding any reponsible individual sholud know where to play online and where to crack jokes. The most surprising thing is that when you get to know the people that post junks on this forum you will be amazed because they are made of good stuff; intellencial who can move this nation forward.
So i want to use this medium to appeal to they all, please redirect your vision and mission and make yourself and others happy as there is nothing greater that this. You are good. |
