gregg2: The manner these APC rascals talk most times amazes me. Imagine an old man like Akande opening his mouth wide like an area boy. Akande who does not have any legacy to show for in Osun State where he is former governor. Even to imagine that this same old fool using gutter language is the "Chairman" of APC . . . tufiakuaHonestly, the lying rascals are all the same - from Liar Muhammed, Hell-Rufai, Tinubu, Buhari. To be fair, Akande was not known to belong to this group. My colleague just joked that the Old man might need to be examined by a psychiatrist. He may have suddenly developed a brain disorder. |
Only 15 governors also attended Ameachi's meeting. Ameachi's own case was worse because all the governors were present in Abuja to attend a dinner with Mr President but shunned his meeting except 15. |
Akinsolacupid: For you to claim Chief Bisi Akande has no legacy in Osun state shows you know nothing abt the man and his tenure as governor. I rest my caseWhy not simply list out those legacies. Bisi Akande was a very dull governor. His administration performed far below average. I am familiar with Osun state but do not know his legacies. And it's laughable when past leaders who scored F9 in their time suddenly turn themselves to critics because they are out of Power. Get me right, I do not think he was too harsh. Yes, I have seen the US Republican party use such strong words on Obama too. My argument is that Chief Bisi was a complete failure as governor and does not have any moral right to criticize government. |
So Hell - Rufai has a "history of telling the truth privately and the lie Publicly" |
Kairoseki77: The AfDB must be run by APC. SMH.No, but Premiumtimes that chose to add salt, sugar pepper in the ADB report so as to indict the PDP is an Opposition leaning news media. Buhari should show us example of how to run a country with Nasarawa. The last I checked Nasarawa state is still in the deep bottom when talking about states with effective leadership. |
They know they are better off in PDP. Buhari or Tinubu cannot take 10% of the rubbish they exhibit in PDP |
. . . and Lagos remains the third worst city to live in in the world after 14 yrs of APC at the helm. Other APC states of Borno and Yobe have only Boko Haram to show for. Besides, those shouting GEJ are just daft. GEJ doesn't come in here. The report covers a period of 1996 - 2010. We will judge GEJ when the next report is produced. |
Crisis looms in APC over presidential ticket on August 08, 2013 at 12:25 am By Soni Daniel, Regional Editor, North ABUJA— There were indications, yesterday, that the newly-registered All Progressives Congress, APC, might have run into a political storm over who to field as its presidential candidate in the 2015 election. Vanguard gathered that while the party is seriously considering a younger but popular northern politician to fly its presidential flag, one of the founding leaders of APC, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), has said that he would not step down for any other. The decision by Buhari to contest again in 2015 is said to have unsettled key leaders of the party, who are reported to have agreed in principle to concede the presidential slot to younger members of the party. A Senator, on the platform of APC, told Vanguard in Abuja that the new party was taken aback by the former Congress for Progressive Change, CPC’s presidential candidate’s decision to jettison a gentleman agreement and run in 2015. ‘Gentleman agreement’ The lawmaker, who is a ranking officer in the National Assembly, told Vanguard that the former leader’s ambition was at variance with an earlier understanding that neither Buhari nor Asiwaju Tinubu, who are regarded as the principal promoters of APC, would run for any elective office in order to give the new party the ‘semblance of a new beginning.’ The lawmaker said: “Our earlier thinking was that the two leaders (Buhari and Tinubu) should provide leadership for the new party and groom an acceptable candidate that will beat Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s Goodluck Jonathan, because from all indications, PDP will present him. “By our calculations, a younger and vibrant politician should run as our candidate so as to give PDP a good fight. “But from the way things are, we are stuck between telling Buhari, outright, not to run and allowing him to continue with some ripple effects coming our way later.” Watching Tambuwal The source confirmed that APC was already working on the possibility of drafting the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, into the new party with a view to presenting him as the party’s candidate in 2015. He said some APC leaders were working on Tambuwal because of his age, acceptability across party lines and the fact that he hails from the North-West with the highest voting population in Nigeria. However, former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct CPC, Rotimi Fasakin, said on Tuesday that there was no time Buhari entered into any agreement with anybody not to run as a presidential candidate in 2015. Fasakin said: “Nobody can stop the former head of state from testing his popularity at APC’s presidential primary.” Fasakin described the purported arrangement whereby Buhari and Tinubu were made to jettison whatever ambitions they had as a ruse. He said: “The said arrangement is mere propaganda to stop Buhari from testing his popularity again in 2015. But I can tell you that it will not work. “Let me tell you, come 2015, General Buhari will participate at the APC presidential primary and nobody can stop him. I repeat, he will contest and no one can stop him from doing so.” |
mr.official:It's obviously, arranged but Nigerians are not fools. Aregbesola and Fashola are playing childish politics. |
Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! Politics!! The game is to hurriedly arrange similar thing to Osun to create an impression. But Nigerians are wiser than this rubbish Oga Aregbesola and Baba Fashola |
Good development. Gone are those horrible years when the likes of Michelin, Dunlop, Textile companies etc were relocating their plants to neighbouring countries. The renewed interest in Nigeria by local and foreign investors is a testimony that the economic policies and infrastructural development drive of the current administration are yielding fruits. The future is very bright. Naija is back on track once again. |
Abati is a bad nigga. Did anyone read this? While jettisoning the possibility of the president taking up the offer, Dr Abati lampooned the opposition party for forming a party only to realise later they do not have a credible Presidential candidate. |
@malc619 You called me an "Ibo bigot"? How sure are u? Anyway, get it again in your dumb skull that your non performing ACN Amosun should desist from "thieving" PDP's achievements and presenting them as his own. In the copyright world it is called Piracy and that is a very serious offence. |
This Abati is baaaddd nigga!! I can't stop laughing Imagine this punch While jettisoning the possibility of the president taking up the offer, Dr Abati lampooned the opposition party for forming a party only to realise later that they do not have a credible Presidential candidate. |
I can't wait to see the back of these criminals. They should just pack their loads and go. |
idumuose: APC do not have principles. They hv no ideology. That's why they peddle lies, more lies and only lies |
Misleading topic, mischievous junk from one of several of those APC liers. |
You guys should stop playing the ethnic card and face realities. Your leprosy infested ACN government at Abeokuta should simply give credit to the PDP, Obj and Gbenga Daniels for all those companies listed there. |
OP Leave Chime alone. He is a staunch GEJ supporter but still battling with health challenges. It's not advisable for him to work himself up in high blood pressure associated with our Politics. |
chindi: if these allegations are true then we are on a long thing. If he is this crooked, why then did he haunt and pull down cecelia ibru and others. Hmmmm, i sincerely wish this is not true or else...Mehn . . . I'm speechless. Just hope these allegations are not true. But reading through the story comes across as thoroughly investigated. |
Isn't it amazing that this piece of junk news is only circulating in Nairaland? Very fake news! Poster doesn't understand English or put some cotton bud blocking his ear drum while listening to the radio |
Amanwulu1: I so much agree wit d part dat says apc can only make d pdp to b on their toes bt cannot unseat pdp. And I say, dis's d best we can get frm apc n wit dat apc is not totaly a waste.I like this part: "Abba - Gana while dismissing insinuations that some northern governors would leave the PDP, said the newly-registered All Progressives Congress (APC) party constitutes no threat to the PDP because “there are more progressives in the PDP than in APC. I don’t know why they have to include progressives in their name. All the progressives we know are in PDP, so, where did they get the all progressives from? Could this be the reason ACN is always outsourcing its Presidential Candidate from the PDP? Even now, they are contemplating Aminu Tambuwal or T.Y Danjuma both PDP men |
israel007: @OP. Watch as ACN e-Bulldogs and e-Lions come to maul uThey can only rant, as usual. They want to steal PDP achievements in the state and present them as their own. |
Lie Lie APC Bokoharamist. Since they cannot find genuine faults they resort to lies. Shame on all of them!! Maybe, Leadership newspaper should have been dealt with harder to show others example. |
T8ksy: @ Op, the poignant aspect of it all is that if you guys dissipate half as much time and effort you do attacking yoruba governors on your incompetent leaders, you all won't be migrating to other regions in droves. It's not about attacking some governors. It's about dispelling lies and cheap propaganda. Ogun State government/ACN propaganda machine wants us to believe that Amosun attracted 35 companies to Ogun including: 1) WEMPCO STEEL MILLS (which President Jonathan commissioned recently while Gov Amosun was in Lagos attending an ACN convention started during former Gov Gbenga Daniels) 2) DANGOTE CEMENT (completed during Gbenga Daniels tenure) 3) MAY & BAKER (also started and almost completed during Gbenga Daniels tenure) 4) GOLDEN PASTA (a Flour Mills Plc subsidiary started and completed during Gbenga Daniels tenure) 5) GOODWILL CERAMICS 6) ADE DISTRIBUTION AND INVESTMENT LIMITED AND AFRICAN FOUNDRIES LIMITED. If anyone has to take the glory, it should be former governor Gbenga Daniels. Amosun has got nothing yet to show for except one flyover. |
seanet02: The fact is some people from the east who have no clue about what real governance need to get some life. You are obviously blinded by Lagos media propaganda. Wake up!!! |
Past Northern President's Produced Poverty, Let's Give Jonathan 4 More Years-Abba-Gana Bwacha: President charting a new course By Olawale Olaleye A former Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Mohammed Abba-Gana, Monday said another term of four years of President Goodluck Jonathan, would not hurt the North but prepare it better for future elections. Abba-Gana spoke at a media parley in Lagos, just as Senator Emmanuel Bwacha from Taraba South senatorial district in Taraba State also said the Jonathan administration has begun to chart a new course for the nation, the results of which he claimed, were already manifesting. But Abba-Gana, who dismissed threats against Jonathan’s re-election, said the best and wise thing for the North was to allow Jonathan return for another term of four years, the period it should make good use of in preparing for the 2019 presidential election. While cautioning the northern elite on their utterances, Abba-Gana said if the North had produced between eight and nine heads of state and presidents, with poverty as a proof and underdevelopment, then, four years of Jonathan would not kill them. “Something people in the North want Jonathan to come back and some don’t want him to return. But allowing Jonathan another four years will not take away anything from us. We’ve had between eight and nine heads of government. But what do we have to show for it? Poverty and underdevelopment! “So, if their person did not bring development to them, another four years of Jonathan will not cause any havoc,” he said, adding that: “The North needs the four years to plan, learn, relate better with other parts of the country, work harder, talk less and groom a leader that will unite the nation and tackle the challenges facing the country.” The former minister, who supported the idea of right of first refusal being allegedly planned by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as part of the soft-landing measures for Jonathan, noted that: “The PDP will not suppress the aspiration of anybody. There is no way the PDP will say no to him (Jonathan) if he decides to come back because it also comes with advantages. But if he says no, it comes with disadvantages, including that of power of the incumbent.” Abba-Gana, while dismissing insinuations that some northern governors would leave the PDP, said the newly-registered All Progressives Congress (APC) party constitutes no threat to the PDP because “there are more progressives in the PDP than in APC. I don’t know why they have to include progressives in their name. All the progressives we know are in PDP, so, where did they get the all progressives from? We are aiming for a convincing and safe victory.” Tracing the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) leadership crisis to the governors’ meddling in the Adamawa State PDP congress crisis, Abba-Gana said the turn of events in the state crisis was such that the question to ask now “is what is right and not who is right.” Decrying the desecration of party supremacy by some governors and PDP members, Abba-Gana said, “no American governor will take on the American president the way our governors do,” and, therefore, urged the media to stop encouraging such disagreements. He said since the problem of the country was not lack of knowledge but one of civility, “there is the need for elite consensus for Nigeria to progress. The PDP problem is imagined. That some people are grandstanding does not mean there is crisis. If people are driving their interest, it does not portend crisis.” Speaking shortly after, albeit differently, Bwacha said apart from charting a new course for the nation, the Jonathan presidency also signals hope for other minority ethnic groups in the country that someday they could also produce the president of the country. “If a Jonathan can be president, a Taraba man can. It has shown that power belongs to God,” he said, adding that people were not looking at the progress recorded by the Jonathan administration but concentrating on the crisis. “Nigeria is working,” he said, adding that the opposition build-up would only keep the government and party on their toes but incapable of unseating the PDP. Bwacha, who also spoke briefly on the state of health of the recuperating Taraba State Governor, Danbaba Suntai, said the picture of the governor that was widely published by major national dailies on Monday, following a visit by PDP members to his New York, United States home, was a proof of the fact that he was fast recovering and would soon return to the country. The Senator, who claimed to have been visiting the governor regularly dismissed insinuations about his health, said the lies swirling in the media were told by the opposition and that the state is peaceful and hoping to have the governor back. http://www.naijapundit.com/news/past-northern-president-s-produced-poverty-let-s-give-jonathan-4-more-years-abba-gana |
likeme: ^^^Playing politics by cornering someone else's achievement as his own is like robbery. Since he has nothing else to show except the Abeokuta flyover he should keep shut instead |
The answer is nothing. The companies came on their own due to the favourable investment climate created in the country by the brilliant economic team. Ogun state is reaping from its proximity to Lagos and besides, 95% of the companies had started building those plants since the time of Gbenga Daniels. Amosun has nothing to show investment wise and I challenge all ACN e-warriors to show us tangible evidence of their government attracting these investments to Ogun state. |
I knew it! These Alausa Liars will dust up every sheet of correspondence in their archives to sell lies to the gullible all in a bit to defend their heartless and wicked act for fellow human being. Now, one of those deportees died three days ago and Fashola's father died yesterday and both have been buried six or four feet deep, is there any difference? Joe Igbokwe is a big embarrassment to the Igbo nation. |
$£yi:He is sure. Afterall, Lagos is still rated the 3rd worst city to live in in the world after 14yrs of ACN incharge. |
The 1 billion/1km road contract obtainable among South West ACN states cannot work in Anambra. Ngige and Akabueze or whoever will fail hands down. Tinubu cannot enslave any state in South East let alone Anambra. I can bet with my entire bank account that Ndi Anambra will chase them away and all his cronies just like what Olusegun Mimiko did to him in Ondo. I dey laugh oh. |
