gregg2: Many Nigerian cities are salivating for such ten lanes expressways and our Abuja senators are complaining because of open gutters on the side at some points because it affects them. Although I live in Lagos, I have personally driven severally on those ten lanes expressways and can confirm they remain the best roads in this country. Abuja is not the only city in Nigeria to swallow all Nigeria's wealth. Money should also trickle down to other states for development. I agree the road road should be of modern standard but if this is a ploy by Senate Committee on FCT to attract additional budgetary allocation to those roads Nigerians should rise up and say NO! Each time I travel to Abuja I ask myself if that city actually exist in this same Nigeria.

Smart Adeyemi should be lobbying such roads to his native Kogi state. Is Abuja the only city in Nigeria?

If in doubt, ask the people living along Benin - Ore, Enugu -Abakaliki - Ogoja - Caneroon, Kano - Maiduguri, Ibadan - Ilorin, The ten lane Abuja - Giri, another ten lane Abuja - Zuba, Onitsha - Owerri, Lokoja - Abuja etc etc etc

Ask the people who use our airports now about the state of facilities at MM Airport, Benin Airport, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Yola, Owerri, Enugu, Ilorin, Sokoto, Kano airports etc etc etc

Or do you prefer rail transport? a service you have probably never enjoyed because past leaders had run it aground about two decades ago. Yes, GEJ has given you that opportunity once again and lucky enough, the rail line passes through your city of Ibadan. Take a cab to Ebute Meta and you could go as far as Kano if you wish.

By the way, what the President performed on that day was merely ceremonial based on his itinerary because he is a very busy man. It does not mean that civil servant in various ministries concerned will cease doing their own part.

Truth is, most of my Yoruba kinsmen (Fashola inclusive) are mere village champions with influence mostly around South West. Awolowo may have set that precedence because even he too did not have that national outlook but was love dearly by his Yoruba kinsmen.

I can only mention a few who do not fall under this village champion category - olusegun Obasanjo, MKO Abiola, Gani Fawehinmi, Wole Soyinka, Pastor Tunde Bakare (eventhough I don't admire him)

So, is Ameachi tired of granting interviews?

We need a national carrier in this country. I pray GEJ see to its realisation soonest. Some media houses are really jobless - Premiumtimes, Punch etc.
Their hatchet job of trying to divide PDP by exaggerating every issue within PDP
will as usual fail before their very eyes. Good enough, the party most times doesn't
even recognize that they exist. When only 15 governors attended the meeting called by
Ameachi, these same APC Premiumtimes, Punch etc played down the issue even when Nigerians were expecting to
see the so-called 19 governors assembled to a meeting with Ameachi.

Fine, let them take Zamfara, Oyo, Osun, Nasarawa, Yobe, Borno etc that they control to greater height first. The last I checked, most PDP controlled states are doing a lot better than these APC states.

Jonathan should not be mingling with these Boko Haram infested governors. Almakura as a person comes across as an innocent guy, but his association with the head of Boko Haram, Gen Buhari himself somehow dents him too.
