One of the complaints held against the Nigerian system by international investors was the lack of continuity by governance, here we have government who is see through plans initiated by his successors and you don't think it's commendable?

Lets assume that GEJ is running down this country as you have us believe, do you think that GE would still bring their $250m to nigeria because they signed an agreement with OBJ in 1900 ? For our information the environment GEJ has created is responsible for foreign investors coming into all or any parts of the country including Lagos.

OP, I am partly Yoruba and love GEJ. I also have a good number of Yoruba friends and neighbours who feel the poor man is trying and cannot satisfy everybody. A couple others agree or disagree with him and give you reasons but really others feel the tribe is not well represented at the center and will criticise with all their venom whether good or bad.

But who do we blame with this whole issue of inadequate representation at the center? We have five key posts in the hierarchy of the FG. The zone was fortunate to have been allocated Speaker of House of Rep's even almost after it recently produced The President. Our own ACN rejected our own daughter Mulikat with so much media propaganda to discredit her and teamed up with Tambuwal instead so that they alone will remain to be worshipped by everybody.

Shameless liar, Ikorodu road is a federal road and also maintained by FERMA. LASG used to forward bills to FG for refunds whenever it intervenes in fixing it although they are now begging to take over the road because of the BRT it operates there.

The ACN spokesman is focusing too much on tarnishing Maku's person instead of proving him wrong on the allegation that about 70% of the roads in Lagos Island for instance belong to FG and that all Fashola does is provide sanitation and traffic control. You see, our politicians are very deceptive because even when Fashola intervenes in a Federal road and refunds are made to him by Federal Govt, they will not announce it. Maku has this information at his finger tips and knew what he was talking about.

Really, the performance of Okonjo Iweala, Stella Odua and Allison Madueke is worthy of commendation. In addition to the PIB, I don't know the magic Madueke did but Nigerians are almost forgetting anything like fuel scarcity exists. Driving into a service station for fuel could not be more pleasurable than it has been in her tenure. Something past petroleum ministers struggled with for about 25yrs.

The Prof in charge of Power ministry should copy from her by taking aggressive measures to stabilize the power situation and he will be a hero. I live in Lagos though but shuttles Abuja like every month.
My company's staff qtrs in Wuse 2 does not have a borehole and hardly lacks water.

Most of the folks talking crap here are just plain silly. There are mini-water works littered all over Lagos providing portable water, FOC, to a substantial population of dwellers of areas as; Badore, Bode Thomas, Costain etc.

Ofcourse there is the issue of catering for a larger population size (I have seen situations where the pipes lose pressure when laid over extended distances) and also vandalism by some of our people (private and road builders alike). Tackling these issues should go a long way in improving the effectiveness of the projects.

Ole, stop making excuses for a government that has failed. And why won't Lagos remain the third worst city to live in in the world. Many Chinese and Indian cities are far more populous than Lagos but have basic things like public water supply in place. Cairo is more populous than Lagos but has a perfect public water supply scheme. The water pipes like crude oil pipes will be buried deep underground with junctions for people to connect to their homes. I was in Calabar sometimes early last year and for three months running water supply failed for just two days. I remember the cries anger on people's faces until the authorities came on air to plead with the masses to bear with them citing maintenance as the excuse. The Abuja water supply scheme is also perfect atleast these are the two cities I can confirm their public water supply.

Anybody that is based in Rivers state be he ACN, PDP, LP etc understands the arrogance of Amaechi. Most of these ACN asss lickers on nairaland that have never traveled outside South West will come here disrespecting Jang out of ignorance.

oloriooko: A Port Harcourt High Court has stopped the PDP from taking further action against the Governor Chibuike Amaechi as the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum pending hearing on the suit challenging the suspension by the Party.

Amaechi was not suspended because of Governors Forum. Amaechi was suspended because of his refusal to recall the elected Chairman and Councillors of Obio/Akpor LGA that he sacked. I am sorry, but either his lawyer or this journalist is talking out of point.

It's a very big shame on opposition ACN for a State they have ruled for 14 years only to start promising pipe borne water in 2020. Municipal water supply is a sole responsibility of the state government so Tinubu and the loudmouth Liar Muhammed cannot play that their usual pusssy cat tricks of pushing blames on FG.

Why 2020? Calabar and Abuja are examples of Nigerian cities that have steady public water supply round the clock and it took them just a few years to do that. Besides, Fashola's term ends in 2015. It looks like this is an indirect way of telling Lagosians to forget about Pipe borne water.

Fayemi claims Uduaghan was the returning officer. In an election, it is the returning officer that collates and announce results. Why then was the DG Governors Forum made to announce the results instead of Uduaghan?

Fayemi is obviously lying. That election was inconclusive. I gathered reliably that disagreements started midway into the elections when Amaechi refused to step down and also accept Jang as concensus candidate. Besides, he was still exercising his powers as chairman and overruling suggestions from the pro Jang group. This got the Pro Jang governors pissed-off and they abandoned the meeting and left Rivers state lodge venue of the meeting for Akwa Ibom lodge. The remaining 16 pro Amaechi governors seized that opportunity to pressure the DG Governors Forum to announce a concocted result.

The 4 lanes East West Road you guys are emphasising on is ongoing as we speak with bridges. That road is not like Fashola asphalting a street here in Lagos. Infact, that road alone is more than all the roads constructed by Tinubu in 8yrs as Lagos state governor. It's one very long stretch of road cutting across about six states. It's a massive project and will not be finished in a blink of an eye.

For your information, that NGF election was not conclusive. The 19 pro - Jang governors got angry midway and left Rivers state lodge, venue of the meeting for Akwa Ibom lodge leaving behind only 16 pro Amaechi supporters because Amaechi refused to step down nor accept Jang as concensus chairman. They arranged with the DG after others have left to announce their result. They are talking about video, why don't they show it to Nigerians. The so - called 19 against 16 votes was concocted after others have left the venue. Let Amaechi convene a meeting of his 19 governors and let the whole world see. The 19 pro - Jang governors are meeting and talking tough. Why is the Amaechi camp quite? Their conscience is judging them.

Our APC hawks in Nairaland abhor this kind of explanation. They prefer only negative comments and will give a blind eye to this or try to prove Abati wrong even when they were not there.

Is it now that El - Rufai left government that he suddenly realised there is unemployment? My elder sister was unemployed for almost 4yrs during Obasanjo's tenure when all of you were in government and busy sharing the national cake. She only got a job during Yar'adua's tenure. We are wiser than your antics Fani-Kayode since you are turning yourself to be an ally of Lie - Rufai. You guys created this mess we are in and making it look as if the problem is peculiar to the current administration is mere deceit and mischief.

Besides, El - Rufai told the world that his two daughters have been at home for almost a year and he could not get jobs for them:

1) We knew he was telling us some blatant lies just to score political points while as usual paint the current administration black as if the situation was any better when he was in government.

2) Nigerian youths had also wondered whether it was the duty of El - Rufai himself to go looking for jobs for his daughters. His statement only confirmed the general believe that for you to have a job you must know one Oga at the top. So, what about those people who do not have anyone in the calibre of El - Rufai up there? Why shouldn't El - Rufai allow his daughters to compete on a level playing field for available jobs with every other candidate - whether from rich or poor background?
