Punch in the last two years is indulging in reporting trash. Nobody is angry with anybody anywhere. This is mere gutter journalism that the likes of Punch and Sahara Reporters have reduced the profession to. The Jang group held their first meeting yesterday and passed a number of resolutions. Let Amechi call for a meeting too and let us see. |
HNosegbe: Two questions:Bros, I have asked the same question too but Gbawe, Prof Corruption and Berem avoid the question like hell. They won't answer you. . . |
eGuerrilla: Unlike you, I never provided a list.Oga, on this one, you have failed woefully. Just admit. Nobody will flog you. |
eGuerrilla: 17 governors attended the meeting (including Akpabio), so your point is rather moot.My friend, you can't even read your own post again? Ok, let me copy and paste your 17 governors and you will tell me if Akpabio and Dakingari's names are there. Below is your own post "However, governors opposed to the continuation of Amaechi in office described the election as a sham, insisting that it was Jang they wanted to head the body. Governors that attended the meeting were: Jang (Plateau); Idris Wada (Kogi); Gabriel Suswam (Benue); Isa Yuguda (Bauchi); Theodore Orji (Abia); Ibrahim Shema (Katsina); Mukhtar Yero (Kaduna); Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta); Garba Umar (Taraba); Liyel Imoke (Cross River); Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa); Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara); Peter Obi (Anambra); Mimiko (Ondo); and Thaanod Rubainu (Deputy Governor, Gombe). Although the names and signatures of Governors Sullivan Chime and Martin Elechi of Enugu and Ebonyi States respectively appeared on the attendance list, the two governors were not physically present at the meeting." |
eGuerrilla: You've provided no reference for this piece of twaddle, yet find it rather convenient to ridicule Saharareporters.Akpabio of Akwa Ibom state and Dakingari of Kebbi State are not on your list or are you saying Akpabio voted for Ameachi? Haba bros!! Go through those your 17 names again, this time slowly. You see, your deceptive media will deliberately juggle with facts to sell their lies. . . |
HNosegbe: Two questions:Bros, I have asked the same question too but Gbawe, e-guerilla, Prof Corruption and Berem avoid the question like hell. They won't answer you. . . |
The following state governors uptil this morning affirmed that they voted for Jang. They have even held their first meeting to pass a number of resolutions. 1) Akwa Ibom 2) Bauchi 3) Delta 4) Enugu 5) Abia 6) Ondo 7) Anambra Gombe9) Cross River 10) Kebbi 11) Kogi 12) Taraba 13) Kwara 14) Kaduna 15) Plateau 16) Benue 17) Ebonyi 18) Katsina and 19) Bayelsa The question is, why is Sahara Reporters in the article above duplicating Sokoto and Kano states for Ameachi. If the election was not rigged, let the pro Ameachi governors call a meeting too and let Nigerians know the governors in their camp. Shame on all of you!!!!!!! |
Does Nigeria even need this Forum? For me any move aimed at killing this NGF will be one of the best things to happen to Nigeria. By the way, somebody should help me count the so called states governors that voted for Ameachi as listed in this article again. Sahara Reporters as usual has deceptively listed Kano and Sokoto twice to boost some votes for Ameachi. Shame on all of you |
ITbomb: And fools believe this totally Don't mind the antics of these APC asss lickers and their gutter news media. GEJ and his team just secured AU's endorsement for a seat for Nigeria in the UN security council and they are here spreading lies. . . |
Prof Corruption: This is shocking!!! Nigeria has gone to the dogs. You are the dog yourself if you believe such poo journalism from Sahara who cannot even be specific about the President's so-called absence? |
Op add your source Ameachi should convene his own meeting too ASAP so we also know the governors queueing behind him. For me, I can't wait to witness the burial of this useless NGF. The forum only serve the selfish and corrupt interest of these governors where they meet to discuss how to pressure FG to release savings in SWF, ECA and Excess Crude for sharing and also how to strangulate and pocket the Local government system. |
Lagos is my city. I have light now as I write. I didn't have it last night though. |
odiman: Carefully examine the document you notice some hand written alteration, which suggest that this document has been prepared long time ago some time in April when they supposed to hold the election before it was postponed. However even with recent development one governor didn't vote. Yet his name is there opposing that suggest old preparation of document. Furthermore 14 from 36 is still not a majority. Amaechi all the wayThere is definitely a second page as T.A.Orji of Abia, Lyel Imoke of Cross River, Ahmed of Kwara, Shema of Katsina etc are not on this page but these are loyal PDP governors who also should vote for Jonah Jang. Whatever, I don't see any value NGF is adding to our democracy. I am ok with anything that leads to its collapse. I like that Uduaghan's signature though. |
Governors Forum is dead with this division. I can bet anyone. |
Eko Ile: I'll celebrate even 1 MW if it means no more baby deliveries in darkness, no more threats of power outages by your masters in abuja in our surgery and operating rooms, if it means eradication of darkness in our public buildings and our streets.Eko Ile, you are just one village dude. You obviously lack exposure. Because those politicians choose to call that "glorified generator" Power Plant, it sounded so big in your ears. For your information, such plants have been existing in many Niger Delta villages as far back as early 1990's. When Donald Duke, former governor of Cross River state built Tinapa in 2006, he also set up such gas powered plant to run Tinapa. Nobody from Calabar ever went on media to start celebrating. As we speak, that same plant powers all street lights in Calabar, that is why Calabar has one of the most reliable street light system in Nigeria. Most companies in Nigeria have since set up such plants so, it's not such a big deal if Fashola also set up one or two to power some government offices. |
Op this is not news again, we already know. |
There are countless of such mini Power Plants all around Nigeria especially here in Lagos (by private companies eg Flour Mills, Guinness etc), in Abuja (ASO Rock inclusive) and Niger Delta area (run by oil companies for their installations and host communities). Only a "Village Boy" Eko Ile will come here celebrating a 10 megawatt plant to power government house. |
Wahala dey! |
Okoro2015: I thought Amaechi is highly beloved in Rivers state?Bros, only sycophants eating with him "Love" him. |
gen2briz: Because she's also a share holder in NairalandThe other gentleman in kaftan is Eden Duke Minister for tourism. I think this is more of a tourism promotion thing than 2015. |
Lie Lie media. The story sounds very fake. |
Sincere 9gerian: Isn't it ironic that some people want GEJ to fix all the federal roads in 2yrs when state govts have not been able to fix all state roads in 6 or 8yrs. Those who tell us that because one or two roads in their vicinity have not been fixed, NOTHING has been done should be seen as mischief makers, DEVILISH LIARS and propagandists.Guy, you are good. |
Eko Ile: Shameless clowns..Ok, let us put them to shame. Simply mention the federal roads that are bad and are not receiving attention. |
SURE-P to Nigerians: Our roads are no longer death traps on MAY 20, 2013 · in NEWS 7:22 pm Share By Favour Nnabugwu The Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme, SURE-P has assured Nigerians of smooth driving through the nation’s roads as funds are being provided for road rehabilitations. The Convener, SURE-P/ Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA on Public Works, Dr. Ngozi Olojeme, boasted that Nigerian roads are safe for smooth driving. “Roads are actively being maintained in the phase one of the project. Nigerian roads were left in a dilapidated state to the extent that a lot of lives were lost. FERMA is devoting its energy to road maintenance all over the country. We have to work daily to achieve our mandate. We have been travelling across the states to ensure results are achieved. We are doing it geopolitically and every state will be adequately represented, so that Nigerians can travel on well maintained roads,” she said. Dr. Olojeme boasted: “Nigerian roads are no more death traps. If you say they were death traps, yes, but now, they are not.” She spoke while leading SURE-P’s technical partners, Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA, on an inspection tour of the Abuja-Kaduna highway where workers were patching different portions of the road and clearing the grass along the median. She also disclosed that five motorised truck slashers have been procured to hasten work on five major roads. They are Enugu-Port-Harcourt, Benin-Ore, Benin-Asaba, Ibadan-Ife, and Abuja-Kaduna highways. Reaffirming the Federal Government’s determination to keep the Federal highways free of potholes all-year round, Olojeme stated that about 5,000 workers youths have been employed so far, and that the figure would be scaled up to 10,000 by year-end in first instance. The aim, she said, was that they would provide safe, motorable road linkages across the economic zones of the country. Speaking on cracks that were visible along the roads, she said keeping watch and patching them was the essence of the SURE-P public works programme. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/05/sure-p-to-nigerians-our-roads-are-no-longer-death-traps/ |
tit: Hi All,I wanted to explain this. I hope folks praising Rochas will realise the man is actually clueless and does not understand governance. The programme is unsustainable, kills drive, diminishes ingenuity and above all prone to corruption and waste. Just recently, civil servants in Imo embarked on strike over upaid entitlements. His promised free education upto tertiary level is not being implemented. 50 naira stipend to primary school pupils has been discontinued. |
Find Out!:Bros, I cannot go taking snap shot of Buhari's house for you. I love my life. Do you live in Abuja? Take taxi to Maitama, stop at NICON junction. You will see several Keke Napep and taxis there, ask them of Buhari's mansion. Buhari' and Igbinidion's mansions are very familiar places to all of them. Buhari lives there. Tam David West is just one bloody liar. |
Tam David West is a big liar for telling us on the last paragraph that Buhari does not have a house in Abuja and sleeps in a hotel whenever he visits Abuja. It is common these days for every of Buhari's agent to lie to Nigerians all in a bid to make their master look good. Buhari has the finest mansion in Maitama District of Abuja. Infact, Buhari and Igbinidion Snr have the best private houses in Maitama. All Keke Napep and taxi drivers operating in that district know about his mansion. He could not have built that with his salary eventhough he remained Head of state till now. That mansion is obviously a product of corruption afterall, how much was his salary? Tam David West should stop lying! It is very shameful the extend Buhari's foot soldiers lie and paint their master in colours that even he would be shocked. Nairalanders living around Maitama will bear me witness if what I wrote here is not true. |
ballabriggs: What percentage of trade in those areas make up your exports? Absolutely insignificant. Contribution to GDP? Grossly insignificant. That is how you assess performance and not your "you need to travel" approach. So government should just stay and do nothing because activities at some of the Free Trade Zones have not picked up comparable to Abu Dhabi? For your information, the Onne Free Zone is working and attracting billions of naira additional Investments each year. The Calabar EPZ you talked about just attracted over 150 billion naira investment agreement with GE electronics. It's gradually. The EPZ challenges are not in isolation with the entire Nigerian problem. The problem with some peeps here is that they must criticise because the source is somebody or region they hate. |
eko ilee: The federal government shouldn't be establishing free trade zones and even the ones you mentioned, in what state or condition are they in? Are they not all white elephants? You obviously need to travel. My guy, if you say the Onne, Calabar and Kano Free Trade Zones are white elephant projects, well, I will leave you to your ignorance. My advice to some of you has often been that you leave this Lagos propaganda and also visit other places. Some of you guys don't travel outside Lagos/South West. How will you describe Onne or Calabar Free Trade Zones with multi-billion naira Investments as white elephant? So, in your illiterate mind, only the Lagos Free Trade Zone is working, abi? |
eko ilee[b:This guy, are you for real? FG cannot establish a Free Trade Zone or what? Is it not FG that established and own the Calabar, Onne and Kano Free Trade Zones? |
slimming: Nigeria politicians should be left to their game. This poster is obviously s**k in the head, given that he is not even from Rivers state. Why choose to take panadol for another man'headache. Besides, if you are so concerned tell him to restore those elected. Obio/Akpor council Chairman and councillors. |
Punch, The Nation, Sahara Reporters etc are still very busy reporting Amechi and PDP imaginary crisis. Foreign media will keep on embarrassing them like that. |
