garri_gangster: Oya, Let's start blaming GEJ as usual
Of course our irresponsible government is responsible and Gej is at the head. if the police is working, no one'll attempt that. GEJ is the commander in chief. do u think this could happen during the Buhari/Idiagbon regime without somebody being held responsible. even if we consider an obvious truth that things have always been bad, we can note that security is getting far worse under GEJ.

Honest as a Liberal Christian.

Let me try to describe myself. I believe that there is a creator (Some kind of person/force. Whether plural or singular I will never know). I also know the universe and all creation is build with a sound plan/logic. Everything is well knitted together. I believe man has been in search of his creator and people have created a lot of stories around God.

As for Bible, I hold some of what is there as being true. But I also believe some are man made. So I will describe the bible as a compilation of old-claimants to God by the Church. I have least regard to the church because it has proven over the years to be house of robbers.

So the Bible is the book of the best Philosophers of the first Century working for the Church.
PoliticsRe: 95% Of Yorubas Families Never Fought Against Biafra, Only 5% Did By Musiwa by Godmann(m): 10:47am On Oct 10, 2012
Anybody that wants to know about the war should get all the books available and read. Lies are flying from left, right and centre. I Just read some sweet lies by Adebanjo trying to deny what we all know to be true that Achebe has put down in book for generation unborn.

The Truth is that the Yoruba Political leadership supported the war and saw it as an opportunity to jump into the mainstream political leadership of the country. Unlike the Midwestern leaders that refused joining the war against the war. They threw all they have into it, forgetting that the January 1966 boys who staged the coup were pro-Awolowo boys, driven purely by socialistic ideas and saw Awo as their mentor.

The Truth also is that Ojukwu refused advices from Igbo political leaders who wanted him to take it easy and avoid the war; because he was driven by his personal ambition. Ojukwu treated Igbo leaders with disdain until deep into the war when he saw himself losing out.

The truth is that the main Yoruba leadership (The drivers of AG, UPN and their off-shot ACN) wanted the Igbo race to be incapacitated - hence the 20 pounds story and the starvation as an act of war. Also Awolowo hoped to be the President of Nigeria after the war and presented himself as such only to be chartered by the emergence of Shagari.

Thanks God Achebe's book will serve as a payment for Awolowo and his like. Posterity is already judging them. No lies can save them

For those that can get it, there are only two drinks uniquely Nigerian - Real Palmy from Enugu Udi axis (usually both sweet and bitter, though with a taste different from guiness stout); and guiness stout itself. Give me the real Palmy any day or chiled stout and you've made my day. I need not tell you how unique our stout is. I love the two more than any food, any day any time.

2good: Let's take a look at the black race globally and try to see if location actually matters for development on the long run. Africa is generally backward with highest poverty rate globally. Haiti is suffering from extreme poverty even though they are close to the US and Canada. Papua New Guinea and Australian Aboregenes whom are blacks are very backward even though they live close/ alongside rich white dominated Australia and New Zealand. You mention Ben Carson whom to be realistic, is a very smart Surgeon but do you know how many renown white surgeons the white race have for every renown black surgeon? Why do we have 2 celebrate for every black achievement when the white achieves more and they don't have to celebrate cos it is normal to them? It's a sign of inferiority complex among blacks. Also tell me one homogenous Black Country where citizens live better life than the least advanced white country? Before criticizing me, analyse my post and debunk anything I have typed above you think is baseless. Summary is there is generally a problem with the black race and until we acknowledge that and think of how to go about solving these problems things will get worst for us.
Sorry. You have just displayed half knowledge. try find out why all the named country are backward. You will shed tears if you come to realize how Haiti in particular was sabotaged when they rebelled to gain their independence from France.

Our problem us that the world have been colonised by a one tribe. Britain, France, US, New Zealand, Australia, even South Africa are all controlled by one "Tribe" - the Anglo- Saxon. They decide who gets what in our world.

What they are doing to Cuba today, they used to destroy Haiti. The black nations are backward owing to the activities of these people. try figure it out pally

Igbo ni Igbo ko, if I am Yoruba.

GEJ is not serving any Igbo Interest. The Caliphate opposed him. The ACN and the independent intellectuals from the Lagos axis is exposing him for who he is.

As is common with all dictators and incompetent leaders, GEJ lacks the ability to see sound criticisms for what is it. He is taking all his critics as enemies.

I believe he is becoming too afraid of the West and the Core North and falling back to the Igbo. But the Igbos must reject this Greek gift from GEJ.

We want good governance and not favoritism.

The Igbos has been wicked marginalized in this country. I do not want to the Igbos to be used in marginalizing others. I strongly reject any attempt to label GEJ or his failing directionless government as being that of Igbos.

We are smarter that what GEJ is offering Nigerians. When a true Igbo man ascend the throne of Presidency, We will rule for the good of every Nigeria. I believe in a true integration of all Nigerians. I do not seek to dominate or marginalize any group.

The best way for reconciliation is fairness to all. GEJ should not appoint only Igbos to positions. He should balance it for the unity of this country. Igbos do not need his bribery.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Will You Join A Nationwide Protest Against The Unemployment Rate In Nigeria by Godmann(m): 5:01pm On Oct 02, 2012
dannywest: If you say you are protesting that the Government should repair the roads, fix our light, provide pipe borne water and eliminate corruption, I would be at the forefront.
But can someone here tell me how a Government would provide good jobs (not lastma and road sweeper jobs) for everyone?
I take it upon myself to tell you how the government have killed all our jobs.

I grew up at Enugu and by that time, there was Coal Corporation, railway, NigerCem, Turners, Niger gas and Niger Steel among others; employing my dad and his mates. There were lots of other companies then, the Banks and the normal every day government jobs inclusive. What do we have today? Nothing. All those companies died as a result of corruption.

Who is responsible for fighting corruption? I hope you will not say it is all of us. The fact is that we are all corrupt because our government have refused to prosecute and punish the corrupt. The blame for corruption should be placed squarely at the doors of our politicians. All men try to cut corners. (I talk with real life experience from Europe). The only difference is that when we know we will be punished if caught, we sit up. Nigerians are corrupt because our government protects the corrupt.

Secondly, the same corruption and irresponsibilities ensure that companies do not survive past their leaders in Nigeria. Name how many countries that survived past its owner in Nigeria. Even brothers cannot run a common company inherited from their parent together because everybody wants to cheat in a country where laws are in-existence. When Companies and businesses cannot exits, jobs will not be available. Mark you we are like this because our laws are not being enforced, and not because we are blacks as teh lazy would prefer to accept.

Thirdly, are we not aware that over 70% of the money in this country passes through our government? How does the government disburse this fund? Who funded the discovery of the major inventions in our world? The internet, computers, etc. Was it not US and European government? Which Investor has our government supported by funding? Nobody. our government only disburses its money to criminals and the money ends up in European and American banks. The serious, sincere and honest business are starved of fund. The intelligent guys are allowed to perish while we empower criminals. Tell me who among our leaders of today us not a Criminal? get it we are being ruled by Criminals. From IBB to Atiku, the assumed gentle Abdusalam, to Tinubu.

I am speaking as one who has tried to computerise a government parastatal in this country. At some stage, the head of the IT section converted our proposal to his personal company and wanted over 50% of the proceed without caring how the work will be executed. My partner even when he wanted to double cross me, does not know much about our proposal. At the end, I worked away and the business died. From this, you can imagine how our businesses and initiative are being killed by our government. My dream is to set up a software firm in this country. How far has I gone, very little.

Think about how many of our population are active economically. I mean how many can save enough income to purchase the goods and services we offer to them as business men. very little. because our money is in very few hands (politicians), the size of our economy is minimal.

It can be easy to say become an entrepreneur, but we forget that you must deal with the society in your business. You need infrastructure from the government. You need banking from an institution built by government. You need to be able to recover your credits using laws made and enforced by the government. Ask the people in the field of business and see how our we cannot grant credit to people because our laws and its enforcement agencies could not ensure that debtors pay.

Are you aware of the volume of business and the resultant jobs we lack because our we lack credit culture owing the aforesaid inactive of our government? Economist will tell you that credit create money. This money would have created more business and more jobs.

Fourthly, why don't we have reasonable partnership businesses in our land? because our laws cannot protect investors. I have tried it and can talk from experience. The way you cannot recover your debts in this country is the way your partners can easily dupe you without recourse to law. You find out we cannot therefore join our little resources to be able to build big businesses. We loose the benefit of Volume. Take note that most businesses in teh world are driven by people coming together to pool resources for a common course. our government and the way they run our land has denied us this chance.

By the time you add up the businesses we have lost as a result of the above from our government, you will come to full realization that we lack jobs because our government officials are CRIMINALS.

If you dare add the ones we lost because they failed to put into practice, a well articulated local content policy, a job creation driven export and import policy; you will have to option but to pick up guns and kill every person that is behind these woes of ours.

How I wish Time will allow me document more of these.

In the END, Even when I have personally worked for over 10 companies since leaving University by 1999, I wish I can join the unemployed to enter the Streets and kill these criminals. We should wake up and make this country ungovernable to criminals called leaders

He was a former deputy governor. he was a former governor., He also was a former VP. He has been close to power for the past 12 years and.

He choose to contest and election and made several promises.

He has proven not to be sincere by his past deeds. The last Fuel Subsidy story and the several corruption scandals.

he opened his mouth to say he does not give a damn about declaring his assets.

Now that he has realized he cannot fool further, because the result of his misgovernance and incapability is trickling in, he is manufacturing an excuse that only him cannot do it alone.

My question is why did he nit say such during the election? What has he done to show serious commitment to the national course?

Is he not just deceiving us in the same manners the IBB, Abacha, Abdusalam, Obasanjo all deceived us?

GEJ is a fool for all I care. He is a lying idiots like most Nigerian leaders.

EducationRe: Nigeria To Include ICT In School Curricular by Godmann(m): 5:31pm On Sep 27, 2012
Just copy copy. ICT or whatever you call it will not give us functional education. Let sort out the fundamental problem first and every other thing will add up. If I am in GEJ position, I will introduce a sound civic education first to empower our people with sound political knowledge. With these no politician can manipulate the people again.

Do this and give corruption a sound fight and everything will add up.

Trying to copy white people without first reshaping our thought processes will never work. We must understand ourselves as Nigerian, and as individuals before we can make a head-start as a people. It is this that is at the foundation of the problems we have in our nation. Colonialism made us an inferior people and we are yet to get over this. The Educational system they gave us was meant to make us their servants and not to empower us. The corruption they inculcated in us as a means of controlling us have given birth to an uncontrollable level of treasury looting and irresponsibility in our land.

These is the problem.

Copying and pasting will never solve our problem. Original thinking will do

So a poor man became rich by stealing public fund.

Emary: I have raised close to 20 dogs in my life, have had a pet parrot, lived with a cat during youth service, kept pet rabbits, goldfish and turtles. I can categorically tell you that the two dogs I have at the moment have the intelligence of a 2-3yr old without the speech. They know when I go out and come in and all the corners of our building. They understand several words including sit, stand, come, up, fetch, stop it, move and bye-bye. If I shout bye-bye from anywhere within their hearing, they will run to me to ensure I don't leave them alone. They have toys they play with and share taking turns to do. They understand that they should respect each other when eating so if I put food in a bowl, one will eat first while the other waits. They know when anyone is in pain and will come to lick the person to comfort them. They also observe people's behaviors to distinguish if they are trustworthy of predatory before approaching them. There was a day I bought sugarcane when one of them was a 3month old puppy so I gave him a piece. He obviously loved it because in a few minutes, he came back to sit beside me looking at me to give him more. When I ignore him for a while, he did something that astonished me. He got up on his hind legs and used his left paw to tap my thigh twice. I gave him a piece and he left. When he finished it, he repeated the same behavior and kept doing it for about six times till there was no more sugar cane between us. This was something I never taught him and since I had him since about 6wks of age, no one else could have taught him.

The cat during my youth service knew when I was around and when I traveled, she would go else where. My parrot lived on the balcony and could see from the bus-stop from up there. As soon as he sighted me coming from school in my uni days, he would start repeating the words I had taught him, songs and my name. The goldfish and turtles recognized me and would raise their heads for me to stroke if I came near the tank and I'm the only one they did this for.

There are so many incidents that show me they think. The truth is that they may not have our level of intelligence but they have other types. Can you detect smell like a dog or swim like a dolphin. In short, I thank God, He didn't give them the most destructive of all human vices, the spirit of greed. They live in the moment though some may save food for a rainy day but apart from that they are just glad to be alive and carefree. You've got to admire that.

If I get this opportunity, I will grab it with both hands.

You have enough financial motivation already; and what you are going into is enough fun.

The only risk is Boko Haram, But I don't see them coming to attack you.

One more thing. Take a message as you trek. Let the message be one that can unite the whole country.

I will prefer a strong political message. One against Tribalism or against corruption.

Forget the white lady's message unless if there is a strong financial motivation. let us concentrate on our immediate problems. Europe will never understand what our problems are; only we can.

Good luck and do not be discouraged. If you can't embark on it, hand it over to me with all the contacts and I will gladly take it up any day any time.

I was born and named a catholic. I was made to believe the bible and that God loved the Jews.

But from what I see and know of world history and politics, I have less reason to believe either the Jew or that the Bible is an ultimate truth.

I strongly suspect the scheming lying Jews cooked up all the stories.

Moses lived and grow up a magician in the house of Pharaoh, but when he fought with same magic to take his people away, the called his own magic God's work. Yet this Moses never condemned all the days he spent in Egypt and what he was taught.

Abraham came from Ur somewhere in Iraq to poses the land of Canaan; the lied he the land was given to him by God. If it was God's will that Abraham posses the land, why did God not kill off all the Canaanite? Why did God leave the Jews in a perpetual war? I suspect God did not give them any land. I suspect it was all lies.

Esau lived and died a wealthy man than Jacob, yet they lied Isaac blessed Jacob more. They lied the inheritance of Isaac was given to Jacob.

If God gave them the promised land, why did same all-knowing God allow feminine to drive them out of the same land by the time of Joseph?

Coming to the present day Politics, Why did the Western powers take what belonged to the Palestine and give to an emigrating Jews?

To those that foolishly take side, are we not aware than the lands of Uganda came into calculation when they were plotting to settle these ever migrating Jews.

From my small informed and objective mind, the Jews are the aggressors.

From what I know and see in our present world, I suspect I will soon make a public burning of the Bible because I strongly suspect it is all lies.

I must confess I don't have a final answer to God. It is too confusing, but I know the major religions are all built on Lies.

Christians as well as Muslims are living in houses built on lies. I choose rationality over both.

How can we be foolish to call this man a listening President. He is a dumb President for ever contemplating the N5000 note. He is the dumbest to have even granted an approval for that assuming the idea originated from Sanusi.

A President should know enough to direct and plots our economy; and not one that sits idly and schemes around looking for where to put his voice in order to be called a good man.

A president is a leader, our general that plots every of our move. A president is one that takes the initiative in every fronts of our national endeavour and not an unlearned idoits that reacts on issues based on an uninformed public opinion.

Tisa: Lovely article but I doubt if GEJ will change, he (Gej) strikes me as someone that doesn't know what he is a president for, what he ought to do or even give a damn about the many many pains of the people he leads.

I voted for him whole heartedly even as people around me called me names in Lagos here for doing so and I desperately hope he will give me the reason to look them in the eye and count the many goods gej has done in 1yr however the shame I feel now as a voter that voted for him is second to none.

Is it so hard for him to know that his policies are pushing many more into poverty? Is it so difficult for him to know that nigerians don't always like accepting coins? His approval of the sanusi mad currency policy makes me see him as a monster. What happened to the last set of paper notes that were changed to coins? Can anyone tell me when last they held a N1coin? As at the time N1 n 50k were notes you could @ least buy tomtom with them, how much is tomtom today?

Gej has lost the confidence nigerians freely gave him, second only to the great Abiola. How gej gets to be this way is really beyond my reasoning cos it doesn't really add up. He owe nobody his electoral victory order than GOD and the nigerians that queued in the hot sun to cast their votes for him willingly, so which cabal or godfather is he trying to please?

Its all really sad. All my life I ve never seen a whole family man n his wife going to houses on the street they reside to ask for food for their kids cos they haven't eaten in 2days, both husband and wife were bankers sacked by Sanusi's witch hunt.

My prayer now is that GOD shd sustain Nigerians till gej tenure ends in 2015.

I hope those computer or internet attack dogs he employs will actually be truthful to themselves and their GOD and not be attacking people trying to tell the president the truth.

Mr. President, Nigerians are really hurting, give human face to ur policies.

GOD reigns.
Thanks for being sincere and objective. Next time try to follow all politicians to know their background so that you can vote right. I have always known GEJ and his record as a deputy governor and that was why I strongly opposed him during the election.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Coup Was Done In Ignorance- Lar by Godmann(m): 3:58pm On Sep 06, 2012
aare07: is there anybody in the house , to give me features of ignorant coup......... ......................................
here is the speech of Mr. Buhari and examine it , if he is ignorant.

In pursuance of the primary objective of saving our great nation
from total collapse, I, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari of the
Nigerian army have, after due consultation amongst the services
of the armed forces, been formally invested with the authority of
the Head of the Federal Military Government and the
Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces of the Federal Republic
of Nigeria. It is with humility and a deep sense of responsibility
that I accept this challenge and call to national duty.
As you must have heard in the previous announcement, the
constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1979) has been
suspended, except those sections of it which are exempted in the
constitution. The change became necessary in order to put an
end to the serious economic predicament and the crisis of
confidence now afflicting our nation. Consequently, the Nigerian
armed forces have constituted themselves into a Federal Military
Government comprising of a Supreme Military Council, a National
Council of States, a Federal Executive Council at the centre and
State Executive Councils to be presided over by military
governors in each of the states of the federation. Members of
these councils will be announced soon. The last Federal Military
Government drew up a programme with the aim of handing over
political power to the civilians in 1979. This programme as you all
know, was implemented to the letter. The 1979 constitution was
promulgated.
However, little did the military realise that the political leadership
of the second republic will circumvent most of the checks and
balances in the constitution and bring the present state of
general insecurity. The premium on political power became so
exceedingly high that political contestants regarded victory at
elections as a matter of life and death struggle and were
determined to capture or retain power by all means. It is true
that there is a worldwide economic recession.
However, in the case of Nigeria, its impact was aggravated by
mismanagement. We believe the appropriate government
agencies have good advice but the leadership disregarded their
advice. The situation could have been avoided if the legislators
were alive to their constitutional responsibilities; Instead, the
legislators were preoccupied with determining their salary scales,
fringe benefit and unnecessary foreign travels, et al, which took
no account of the state of the economy and the welfare of the
people they represented.
As a result of our inability to cultivate financial discipline and
prudent management of the economy, we have come to depend
largely on internal and external borrowing to execute government
projects with attendant domestic pressure and soaring external
debts, thus aggravating the propensity of the outgoing civilian
administration to mismanaged our financial resources. Nigeria
was already condemned perpetually with the twin problem of
heavy budget deficits and weak balance of payments position,
with the prospect of building a virile and viable economy.
The last general election was anything but free and fair. The only
political parties that could complain of election rigging are those
parties that lacked the resources to rig. There is ample evidence
that rigging and thuggery were relative to the resources available
to the parties. This conclusively proved to us that the parties have
not developed confidence in the presidential system of
government on which the nation invested so much material and
human resources. While corruption and indiscipline have been
associated with our state of under-development, these two evils
in our body politics have attained unprecedented height in the
past few years. The corrupt, inept and insensitive leadership in
the last four years has been the source of immorality and
impropriety in our society.
Since what happens in any society is largely a reflection of the
leadership of that society, we deplore corruption in all its facets.
This government will not tolerate kick-backs, inflation of contracts
and over-invoicing of imports etc. Nor will it condone forgery,
fraud, embezzlement, misuse and abuse of office and illegal
dealings in foreign exchange and smuggling. Arson has been
used to cover up fraudulent acts in public institutions. I am
referring to the fire incidents that gutted the P&T buildings in
Lagos, the Anambra State Broadcasting Corporation, the Republic
Building at Marina, the Federal Ministry of Education, the Federal
Capital Development Authority Accounts at Abuja and the NET
Building. Most of these fire incidents occurred at a time when
Nigerians were being apprehensive of the frequency of fraud
scandals and the government incapacity to deal with them.
Corruption has become so pervasive and intractable that a whole
ministry has been created to stem it.
Fellow Nigerians, this indeed is the moment of truth. My
colleagues and I – the Supreme Military Council, must be frank
enough to acknowledge the fact that at the moment, an accurate
picture of the financial position is yet to be determined. We have
no doubt that the situation is bad enough. In spite of all this,
every effort will be made to ensure that the difficult and
degrading conditions under which we are living are eliminated.
Let no one however be deceived that workers who have not
received their salaries in the past eight or so months will receive
such salaries within today or tomorrow or that hospitals which
have been without drugs for months will be provided with
enough immediately. We are determined that with the help of
God we shall do our best to settle genuine payments to which
government is committed, including backlog of workers’ salaries
after scrutiny.
We are confident and we assure you that even in the face of the
global recession, and the seemingly gloomy financial future, given
prudent management of Nigeria’s existing financial resources and
our determination to substantially reduce and eventually nail
down rises in budgetary deficits and weak balance of payments
position. The Federal Military Government will reappraise policies
with a view to paying greater attention to the following areas: The
economy will be given a new impetus and better sense of
direction. Corrupt officials and their agents will be brought to
book.
In view of the drought that affected most parts of the country,
the federal government will, with the available resources, import
food stuffs to supplement the shortfalls suffered in the last
harvest. Our foreign policy will both be dynamic and realistic.
Africa will of course continue to be the centre piece of our
foreign policy. The morale and combat readiness of the armed
forces will be given high priority. Officers and men with high
personal and professional integrity will have nothing to fear.
The Chief Justice of Nigeria and all other holders of judiciary
appointments within the federation can continue in their
appointments and the judiciary shall continue to function under
existing laws subject to such exceptions as may be decreed from
time to time by the Federal Military Government. All holders of
appointments in the civil service, the police and the National
Security Organisation shall continue to exercise their functions in
the normal way subject to changes that may be introduced by the
Federal Military Government.
All those chairmen and members of statutory corporations,
parastatals and other executive departments are hereby relieved
of their appointments with immediate effect.
The Federal Military Government will maintain and strengthen
existing diplomatic relations with other states and with
international organisations and institutions such as the
Organisation of African Unity, the United Nations and its organs,
Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, ECOWAS and the
Commonwealth etc. The Federal Military Government will honour
and respect all treaties and obligations entered into by the
previous government and we hope that such nations and bodies
will reciprocate this gesture by respecting our country’s territorial
integrity and sovereignty.
Fellow Nigerians, finally, we have dutifully intervened to save this
nation from imminent collapse. We therefore expect all
Nigerians, including those who participated directly or indirectly
in bringing the nation to this present predicament, to cooperate
with us. This generation of Nigerians, and indeed future
generations, have no country other than Nigeria. We shall remain
here and salvage it together.May God bless us all. Good morning.
Read inbetween the lines here and you see that Lar and his fellow 1979 Criminals deserved far more than they got from Buhari. They deserved to be hanged.

If that had been done, Nigeria would have been a better place.

This same criminal lar was in charge during the 1999 PDP convention in Jos where stolen millions were used to buy the votes that create the Obasanjo that created the present mess we are in today.

Tell me why the fool deserve not to be hanged.
