Foreign AffairsRe: Bill Clinton's Speech At The 2012 DNC & The Nigerian Experience by Godmann(m): 12:40pm On Sep 06, 2012
Foolish comparison. What has GEJ done to earn comparison with Obama? GEJ cannot write his own speech, Obama is know for one of the best speeches of our time.

GEJ is a failed PHD student from a mushroom UNIPORT, Obama is a brilliant mind well known for his intelligency.

GEJ is a grand father of Corruption, a man that cannot keep a simple agreement that told us he cannot give a damn about declaring his assets; Obama's asset can be seen by even non-Americans e.g. http://jaipur.co/obamas-declare-their-assets-michelle-more-richer-than-barack/

Obama save America from a pending Economic doom; GEJ is taking us to an Economic doom

Dudu_Negro: Who is this fool Okoroafor? wtf is he talking about, this is like saying we have to redesign our flag because the color green has a patent and the patent owner for that color is a foreigner.

We got people who came out of ignoble background, void of ancestral pedigree, first generation in their family to wear shoe or eat at a formal table........they lack grace and uprightness in their dna and by stroke of luck they are in positions where traditionally their bloodline would never qualify for and so they lack the understanding and wisdom and are devoid of the grace that a position of leadership demand. They are leaders, not by birth, and despite that they speak like slaves. It is however painful that they view everyone in their audience to be in the slave class.

What a m or on!
You got it man. Unfortunately almost all Nigerian politicians are from this same class. Remember they are products of Warrant Chiefs syndrome (handpicked sell outs) in Igbo land, the Osu's and Ohu's that was quick to join the Whitemen when the nobles avoided the foreigners; and the never do wells who their parents allowed to join the Whitemen.

This is the problem of leadership in the East in particular. These people are classless; they share no value, they are worthless.

GEJ in particular has a worse appalling history. God will deliver us
PoliticsRe: Naira Has Lost It's Value - CBN by Godmann(m): 3:48pm On Sep 03, 2012
Every one in this forum rejected this evil Policy. 99.999% of Nigerians reject it. But a tiny cabal want to impose it on all of us.

The question now is: Are we all fools? Do we have masters and slaves in this country? If the cabal call us slaves and treat us as such, can't we for once make a statement that we are not?

We made a statement during the Fuel Subsidy impasse until the criminal labour leaders betrayed our course. can't we at least organize minimal protest?

Is their a law that forbids us from expressing our disgust in our little and lawful way against a "Criminal Government" and cabal. Some might come up with the argument that it is not government, or that enemies of GEJ wants to fight him for what is not making. But the fact is that the Government have the obligation to call Sanusi to order if he choose to betray the nation. The government at all times must protect our nation. Our currency is the foundation of our economy. Our economy is the foundation of our happiness.

So how many of us are willing to just print and wear an ordinary "Polo" shirts that will castigate our government officials for ever contemplating further destroying our dying economy? I suggested this and was about doing it during the fuel Subsidy until our public demostration led by Labour took over.

We can achieve a lot by doing this. We can turn it into a culture of insulting and shaming those in power. There is no law on earth that forbids one from wearing a Polo to express his feeling and anger. Moreso it will turn out the best campaign against our wicked Government.

If and when our youths (I mean the juveniles catches up with this), the mentality of an average Nigerian government will change and believe me, these Criminal will be afraid. If then they do not bend, a Revolution that will emerge from these mental education of an average youth will consume them.

I suggest that we print and wear Polo's castigating CBN and Government for ever contemplating this. I will be glad if we can all suggest beautiful designs and messages to be printed on the Polo. I will be happy if we all can turn to Printers, Distributors and wearers of the Polo's.

We can make a big statement with this. If we are not willing to do some thing to save this country; then we all should stop complaining and "enjoy" the pains they cause us.

Thank God the Western sponsors of Boko Haram is running out of ideas. Thank God for the always knowing how to secure the Black man from the wicket mechanization of the western imperialists.

Centuries ago, when the wanted to take over our lands, a yet to be celebrated disease (malaria) made our land uninhabitable for them and ensured our fate did not go the way of the indigenous American Red Indies. Today, their ideas/models are failing that they are resorting to weak and unworkable methods in their way to jam the heads of our various tribal and religious groups together and cause a civil war that will lead to the break up our nation.

I don't know why you guys failed to get it. An average blackman will not see the leaking of private information of people as a serious way of fighting. It is a westerner that will think along that line. That Boko Haram that is supposed to be local and half educated Islamists will see an online leaking of personal information and threat as a better way to propagate their war is TELLING enough. It is a pointer to the intellectual drivers of Boko Haram.

It tells me that the man behind Koko Haram is one with an Euro-American way of thinking. It further confirms to me that Boko Haram is being plotted in the office of the CIA, M16, MOSSAD and the rest.

Wake up Nigerians. If we walk along this theory just for one month, Boko Haram will be a thing of the past. The West want to break us up, but will not want to do it directly. They want to eat their cake and have it.

Let them come out of their coward underground spy-network and declare a full scale war and the Malaria's of our land will finish up the century old war.

Why don't we have smart people in this country?

Why can't you guys ask questions on why the power ministry has become interesting for GEJ?

Why have we failed to understand this man's personality?

Why didn't GEJ take over the Security Ministry or the Petroleum Ministry with all the troubles in those ministry?

GEJ is taking over the Power Ministry because he has seen some improvement on ground and wants to take the glory. From what I have inferred from this man's personality, he is an opportunist, a schemer of the highest order.

Let leave him to it and still judge him based on his performance.

I state without doubts that the achievement recorded on the ministry will continue for the near future, but will starts to go back to the former state in a years time. This Ministry will certainly expose GEJ for who he is.

His supporters who think we have personal hatred for him should please not this. Watch him with the Power Ministry. See how his incompetency will ruin all the good works by Nnaji. in the next one year.

What can we do to save our country, our lives and our people? Are we really in a democracy? Food for thoughts

thoth: what people like the above poster fail to understand is that corruption can not reach this extent without the support of those nations and imperialist organisations. What happened to those regimes that wanted to tackle corruption ? What happens to those african leaders that wanted an equal distribution of wealth for there people ? When nations like Usa and France fail to eliminate the president with internal resident agents they swoop in with their war machines and change the regime that does not favor them, who put the shah of Iran in power ? Who installed and supported Mubarak for several decades till the people can take no more ?
The point is that any problem should be tackled from the origin and we should remove our pride from it.
Bros, It would have been better if all of us can see the truth and act together like the deprived people that we all are. But as human history has always shown, man was not created to all be very intelligent. Among a group of people, the few that got the truth must find ways to navigate the difficult path of liberating their people. It took only Fidel Castrol with 5 other guys to overthrow American imperialist Agents and establish a new order that saved the fate of their people.

How many Africans will it take to reverse the centuries old looting of the African continent and the destruction of its population? This is a question we must answer; not facing the many that will never understand the truth; the few that prefers the easy path. At the right time, they will join a moving train, but we must find a way to set the train moving for the good of Blackman.

I concur in totality to the destruction of our fatherland by Western Noe-colonial agents. I have stated at Several Forumn that CIA, M16, Mossad know much about Boko Haram. It takes just a knowledge of world political history to arrive at this. Thank God the writer her had time to make a good case in stating an obvious truth.

He did not only stole the amount, he sent it out of Nigeria's economy.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria must leave the global economy. by Godmann(m):
The best topic I have read on Nairaland. Whereas the poster was closer to the truth, he/she made some fundamental errors.

We cannot, and no country can, survive on Isolation. But we will also never succeed with the present so called free trade, that we have been lured into.

So long as we do not pull some serious (difficult, politically risky both nationally and internationally) strings, we will never catch up with the West.

The truth was that the western Economies were built with some levels of local protection of their economies; and our exploitation (Exploration,Slavery, colonizations, Neo-coloniazation, etc). Even today, they still deploy some measures to protect their economies and at the same time make sure that third world world countries do not protect theirs. The ways and manners they do this, are many and will takes pages to explain. But note that so many heads of states in Africa have been killed, some removed through instigated coups; because they wanted to protect their local economies, in ways not acceptable to powerful Western interests.

That apart, to those that encourage opening up the economy and competing in our areas of "strength". Are we aware that presently, we are far behind in so many factors of production that the only area we can compete is in raw materials. Even the oils we have will soon be replaced by some new scientific inventions like fission and battery technology.

To compete with the west in production, in an open economy was to be able to produce goods cheaper and better than theirs. The only area we can do this is in Agriculture where the western countries have manufactured several kind of subsidies to help their farmers over us; even against World Free Trade rules. In commercial/factory production, when we consider the factors of production (financing, Infrastructure, technological know how, Economy of scale among other); we see that there is no way we can catch up without some kind of political controls.

We must selectively raise tariffs to protect local manufacturers; we must enforce local content on essential sectors of our economy. We must enforce expatriate quota in companies operating in Nigeria. We must enforce our government agencies to patronize local goods. We must enforce same local content on all contract awards.

In essence, we must explore ways of protecting and encouraging local producers.

Also, I do not know why Africans cannot get special concessions from World Trade organisation. We should use our poverty rate to negotiate for favourable conditions from WTO.

A simple scenario is this. We are told in Economics that free trade (free movement of goods and service) will enhance world trade. We should ask an important and necessary question. WHY ARE THEY RESTRICTING FREE MOVEMENT OF LABOUR. If free movement of goods will bring down the average cost of goods world wide; so will free movement of labour.

But because it will affect the citizens of the western countries badly and rob off positively on us; No one wants to discuss that. Our unintelligent Impostors will never agitate for it.

In summary, we need serious levels of control; we must protect and encourage our local production, without turning to a pariah state. We must find a way to negotiate this (And there are several grounds for it);p we must do it diplomatically. We must find a way of beating the west in their game. To go for straight isolation is to call on them to strangulate us. And they will do it. Read up the fate of Haiti and presently Zimbabwe.

Very importantly, we can and should run a massive indoctrination of our people so that we can have more interest in our local life and products. Those that have interacted with any citizens of the developed countries would have noticed a near brainwash of their citizens to think along their national goal. The Chinese will never see wrong in the Socialism and controlled economy. The British believes so much on themselves. The Japanese, The Americans etc. When we do not believe in ourselves; how do we sell ourselves and our products to other.

The fact is that colonialism and our educational system have destroyed our psyche that we have come to believe that everything about us is inferior. So we do not only prefer to be and sound American, European etc; we also prefer their goods.

On a lighter joke, can someone tell me why most of us desire French Fries? I have been telling people how we rejected potatoes even in my villages; only for the same potatoes to be labelled and packed to be used to extorted money from us. Why have we not been able to explore and use our local delicacies other than "INFERIORITY COMPLEX"?

What we lack is leadership. If we have it, we can do a lot.

Does a man visited by Criminals pray for them or confront them? Are Nigerian Rulers not worse than criminals? Of what effect have all the prayers said in our churches since 1960s? As a member of the Catholic church, I can witness that we have said a prayer against Bribery and corruption in every Church in this country since 1993 or thereabout. Now tell me, is corruption getting better or worse in this country? What does this tell you about our silly prayers without good work.

Wake up, Bakare may not be totally sincere, but he is going the right way. Imagaine what would have happened if a fifth of the pastors and Imams in the country will queue behind him to protest against the massive stealing and bad governance going on in our country.

Christianity EtcRe: SSS Invitation Letter To Pastor Bakare(picture) by Godmann(m): 7:32am On Jul 25, 2012
Goodyman: I am really surprised at Pastor Bakare;s foray into politics. He was divinely called to shepherd the flock of God and give them spiritual food at the right time, but right now, he has chosen to leave his first love, his calling and ministry and decided to move into the murky and dirty waters of politics. Since he failed, he has been at the fore-front of antagonising the present federal administration, so, what do you expect? If the SSS has decided to invite him for questioning for his statements, it is not new. He invited them. Politics in Nigeria is a very dirty game and any Man of God who thinks he can turn the situation around is only kidding himself. At the top there are many vested interests and these interests are conflicting in nature, so, even if Bakare becomes the President, he will mess up himself as a Man of God. Tell me, if he becomes the President today, how will he take care of the flock of God? Has he forgotten what is stated in 1 John 2: 15-17? His Master, Jesus Christ refused to take up the rulership of Israel, but chose to complete the assignment given to him, As Pastor Bakare forgotten all that?

No doubt, we are in the last days and the Bible had predicted that many will fall by the way side as a result of worldly attractions and temptations. It is not too late for Pastor Bakare to retrace his steps and focus on his God-given assignment.
The Pastors that quote Bible to you every Sunday and the President that runs your security, your economy and your national infrastructure; which is a better and more important Shepherd? Tell me, Religion and Politics, which is responsible for the abject poverty we are in? Which created the mass irresponsibility and ignorance in our lands? How has your thousands of fake pastors and priests helped our fate (just like the pharisees and Sadducees of old)? Do you know of one Sunday Mbang that called himself president of CAN during the Obasanjo days? What about Oritshe... (Sorry I acnnot even spell his name well, doubt if I can give him an undeserved honour of searching out the spelling)of the present CAN? What about your pastors that prayed for both Obasanjo in his third term ambition and a certain Priest that dined with OBJ in Aso Rock and has ever been in denial of his third term antics? They are all "good" shepherd in the likes of your model.

The problem is that you guys have been totally brainwashed and are beyond redemption. The first command that God issued on the Bible is that we conquer our earth. We cannot do that by our empty prayers without reason and good work. Religion did not stop slavery, man did. Religion did not produce any of the medicines that made life better, it did not enhance our farming techniques nor our lives in any meaningful way; practical reasoning did.

Europe abandoned blind religion for over 400 years ago before inventing all the beautiful tools of today. That you can write this trash in a server sitting somewhere but accessible to all of us, is a product of good thinking, and not blind religion.

If Rev King jnr. has remained as apostle of your blind Religion and watched aloof while the American whites enslaved the Black population, you would not have had a voice in our world of today; you would have been as good as an ape.

Yet you can open your mouth in this 21st century to tell us that interpreting a book written over 1600 years - a book that went through several interpretation in the hands of semi-educated philosophers, a book that has its foundation more in politics (thanks to Emperor Constantine of the old Roman empire) than in true service to God Almighty - is a better way to save humanity.

It is because, more of your kinds occupy this country that we are still in this shit.

I tell you what, soon the critical mass of needed converts would be reached, with or without you; and we will turn this country around for good; based on practical reasoning and action; and not based on a blind archaic religion.

How To Change Government Peacefully And Make Society Better- Pastor Tunde Bakare
Posted: July 22, 2012 - 14:36

Pastor Tunde Bakare
By Pastor Tunde Bakare

Fellow citizens of our great country, household faithful at The Latter Rain Assembly, Gentlemen of the Press, and every other person present, welcome to this special occasion. At the beginning of this month, during the Father’s Day celebration, an invitation was extended to every concerned citizen of our nation to attend this special lecture - our humble contribution towards nation building. We would like to place on the register our gratitude to God and our profound appreciation for the leadership and members of The Latter Rain Assembly for the provision of this auditorium. After all, in matters of public enlightenment, the church should be in the forefront of such efforts, going by the definitive proclamation of Jesus concerning the church.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:14-16 (NKJV):

14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

In addition, for those befuddled in their minds about our role in this process, let me again rely on the words of Prophet Malachi written exclusively to those in priestly garments who have forgotten their God-ordained role in matters of nation building:

Malachi 2:1-9 (NKJV):
1“And now, O priests, this commandment is for you. 2 If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My name,” says the LORD of hosts, “I will send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart. 3 “Behold, I will rebuke your descendants and spread refuse on your faces, the refuse of your solemn feasts; and one will take you away with it. 4 Then you shall know that I have sent this commandment to you, that My covenant with Levi may continue,” says the LORD of hosts. 5 “My covenant was with him, one of life and peace, and I gave them to him that he might fear Me; so he feared Me and was reverent before My name. 6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and injustice was not found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and equity, and turned many away from iniquity. 7 “For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, and people should seek the law from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts. 8 But you have departed from the way; you have caused many to stumble at the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi,” says the LORD of hosts. 9 “Therefore I also have made you contemptible and base before all the people, because you have not kept My ways but have shown partiality in the law.”

For those questioning our intentions and the use of this platform to disseminate truths that will unblock the minds of our citizens and set them free from limiting thoughts that produce self-defeat, there you have it in black and white in the Holy Writ:
Malachi 2:7 (NKJV):
“For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, and people should seek the law from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.”

Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, saints and strangers, do I then have your permission this morning to perform this noble role of a messenger to a nation on the road to perdition and self-annihilation?
Having given me an overwhelming yes, please permit me to quickly add that, beyond the church being a lighthouse to a dark world, and beyond the role of the priest as a messenger whose lips should keep knowledge and from whose mouth the people should seek the law, there is an additional burden of the watchman and his message that is totally lost on the prosperity merchants and their crowd. Please turn your Bibles with me to the Book of Ezekiel the Prophet, chapter 33:1-20:

1 Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from their territory and make him their watchman, 3 when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people, 4 then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’ 7 “So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me. 8 When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. 9 Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul. 10 “Therefore you, O son of man, say to the house of Israel: ‘Thus you say, “If our transgressions and our sins lie upon us, and we pine away in them, how can we then live?”’ 11 Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord GOD, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’ 12 “Therefore you, O son of man, say to the children of your people: ‘The righteousness of the righteous man shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression; as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall because of it in the day that he turns from his wickedness; nor shall the righteous be able to live because of his righteousness in the day that he sins.’ 13 When I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, but he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous works shall be remembered; but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die. 14 Again, when I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ if he turns from his sin and does what is lawful and right, 15 if the wicked restores the pledge, gives back what he has stolen, and walks in the statutes of life without committing iniquity, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 16 None of his sins which he has committed shall be remembered against him; he has done what is lawful and right; he shall surely live. 17 “Yet the children of your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ But it is their way which is not fair! 18 When the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, he shall die because of it. 19 But when the wicked turns from his wickedness and does what is lawful and right, he shall live because of it. 20 Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, I will judge every one of you according to his own ways.”

I invited all and sundry here this morning because I can see the sword already upon this land – shall I then blow the trumpet? Not to do so would be a disservice to my nation and outright disobedience to God - a luxury I cannot afford. Therefore, lend me your ears.

For the sake of clarity and to keep within the boundary of the subject of our contemplation this morning – ‘How to Change Government Peacefully and Make Society Better’ - I have arranged this lecture under four major headings:

1. WHO TRULY RULES IN THE AFFAIRS OF MEN?
2. THE PURPOSE OF GOVERNMENT IN A NATION
3. HOW TO CHANGE GOVERNMENT IN A PEACEFUL MANNER
4. THE WAY FORWARD

I will take the headings one by one.

HEADING 1: WHO TRULY RULES IN THE AFFAIRS OF MEN?

Today, it is common practice among pseudo-intellectuals worldwide to mock biblical teachings on God, Satan and demons. But to those who are wise and discerning, it is clear that behind the socio-political and economic evils of our time lie supernatural powers.

It is true that God Almighty is “the blessed and only Potentate [Sovereign], the King of kings and Lord of lords” (I Timothy 6:13-16). It is also true that honour and everlasting power belong to God. Nonetheless, in the wisdom of God who rules in the affairs of men, He allows or permits the lowest of men to occupy apex power positions in order that the living may know and hopefully learn.

The New Testament’s perspective on the grip of evil over our socio-political and economic systems comes from the Old Testament prophet, Daniel. Daniel was a young man when Babylonians invaded his city Jerusalem, destroyed it, brutally massacred his people and carried their royalty into slavery in Babylon. Later, they returned to destroy God’s temple and placed God’s sacred vessels in the temple of their god.

This humiliating horror raised disturbing theological questions: Who really rules in the affairs of this world? Who is in control of history - at least at this moment? Why are the kingdoms of this world at times so cruel, brutal, exploitative and oppressive? From the Book of Daniel come three clear answers that can help us navigate our own murky political waters and deliver our nation from imminent bankruptcy and balkanization:

1. GOD IS THE SUPREME POTENTATE:

Daniel 2:20-22 (NKJV) -
20 Daniel answered and said “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. 21 And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. 22 He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.

2. GOD, THE SUPREME POTENTATE RULES IN THE KINGDOM OF MEN AND GIVES IT TO WHOMEVER HE WILL AND SETS OVER IT THE LOWEST OF MEN:

Daniel 4:13-18 (NKJV) -
13 “I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven. 14 He cried aloud and said thus: ‘Chop down the tree and cut off its branches, strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts get out from under it, and the birds from its branches. 15 Nevertheless leave the stump and roots in the earth, bound with a band of iron and bronze, in the tender grass of the field. Let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let him graze with the beasts on the grass of the earth. 16 Let his heart be changed from that of a man, let him be given the heart of a beast, and let seven times pass over him. 17 ‘This decision is by the decree of the watchers, and the sentence by the word of the holy ones, in order that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever He will, and sets over it the lowest of men.’ 18 “This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, declare its interpretation, since all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for the Spirit of the Holy God is in you.”

3. WHENEVER THE LOWEST OF MEN OCCUPY APEX POWER POSITIONS, IN THEIR NAIVETY, THEY YIELD TO DEMONIC POWERS WHO THEN RULE THROUGH THEM:

As Daniel humbled himself, fasted and prayed for understanding, he was given a glimpse of the supernatural realm. He saw clearly that behind the socio-political and economic evils of his time lay supernatural powers.

For example, in Daniel chapter 2, King Nebuchadnezzar dreamt about a statue made of gold, silver, bronze and iron, each representing four successive empires: Babylonian (gold), Medo-Persian (silver), Greek (bronze) and Roman (iron). After their rule, a mere stone – the kingdom of God – brought all the evil kingdoms of this world to an end.

Curiously, in chapter 7, we read that Daniel, a captive turned learned governor and president, humbled himself in fasting and prayer, seeking to understand where history was going and God’s role in its unravelling. He was given the vision of the same four kingdoms Nebuchadnezzar had seen earlier, except that Daniel saw them not as a dazzling statue of precious metals but as beasts that devoured: the lion (Babylonian), the bear (Medo-Persian), and the leopard (Greek), and the “fourth beast [was] dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong”. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left (Daniel 7:7). This fourth beast was Daniel’s vision of the Roman Empire.

Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, the kingdoms of this world were and are beastly, because behind them were and are evil supernatural forces. This understanding of evil as something more than natural, human or socio-political did not begin with Daniel. Israel’s first king became evil, despotic and murderous, and the Bible explains that God’s Spirit had left him and an evil spirit began to torment him (I Samuel 16:14-23).

Likewise, in the Book of Judges, socio-political evils are seen as a direct result of spiritual evil, specifically the operation of the spirit of ill will sent by God when Abimelech hired worthless and reckless men to kill all the seventy (70) sons of Gideon so that he could become king.

Judges 9:22-23

22 After Abimelech had reigned over Israel three years, 23 God sent a spirit of ill will between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech...

Each of the above mentioned biblical texts and a plethora of others affirm that God remains Sovereign over His creation even when He allows evil spirits or devils to hold sway. Apostle Paul explains in Romans 1:18-32 that God gives whole cultures over to evil when humans choose to suppress truth with wickedness. This is where we are in Nigeria today. To the discerning, the nation has been thrown to the dogs of pervasive corruption and disruptive, perennial insecurity. The question begging for an answer is: Who will deliver us from this self-induced chaotic disorder?

HEADING 2: THE PURPOSE OF GOVERNMENT

The purpose of any meaningful government is the welfare and security of the people. In our clime, neither welfare nor security of the lives and property of our people seems to matter anymore. Our malady is not new. History holds records of nations who were bled to death by their rulers and tells how such leaders were ultimately dealt with when the oppressed could no longer bear the heavy weight of their oppressive and insensitive leadership. Biblical history also alludes to this. While the people kept suffering in the midst of plenty in the days of King Solomon, who used his wisdom to satisfy his unquenchable thirst and hunger for material acquisition and outlandish women of all shapes and shades, a day came in the life of the nation when the people kicked and shouted, “We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse. To your tents, O Israel!” (I Kings 12:16). The rebellion did not only stand, God also rubberstamped it and said “this thing is from me”(I Kings 12:24) -- it was orchestrated by the GREAT ORGANIZED DESIGNER (GOD).

It is unfortunate that our people are crying today for change, but they are expecting the change to either fall from the sky or come from sources that cannot produce it. It is simple logic that when a corrupt leader is in office, he corrupts those he leads. This is true of a family, true of a church, and true of a nation. A corrupt father will ultimately corrupt his family as he cannot distinguish between his wife and his son’s wife. A corrupt pastor will corrupt, influence, affect and infect his church as he prioritizes outreaches, programmes and projects executed with filthy lucre flowing from the perverse and the corrupt above the spiritual welfare of the congregants. And a corrupt elected official will infect his nation with corruption. I cannot but borrow a leaf from the profound lecture delivered by Prof. Niyi Osundare recently on the state of the nation titled: ‘Why We No Longer Blush: Corruption as Grand Commander of the Federal Republic of Nigeria’. He said, and I quote:

“Watch out, Nigeria: a new Jonathan seems to be emerging, one who confuses cockiness with confidence, tactlessness with toughness, strong-manship with statesmanship.”

President Jonathan’s combination of naivety and amorality is as profound as it is injurious to the health of this country. Can a corruption-compliant ruler really lead a corruption-free country? If change – positive change – will ever come to our clime, it will not be engineered by those who are benefitting without conscience from the present cesspool of corrosive corruption. It will and can only come from a new breed without greed and a radical opposition to corruption. True, genuine change can only come from those not infected by the present corruption malaise; it can only come from positive agents of social change who are totally sold out to public good.

HEADING 3: HOW TO CHANGE GOVERNMENT IN A PEACEFUL MANNER

Every time I have considered this subject, only one thing flows from me towards President Goodluck Jonathan – genuine pity. Anyone who has had the privilege of sitting with Mr. President, as I sometimes have, will feel the same for this simple soul who has become a victim of circumstances generated and orchestrated by his bramble predecessor, who, in his bid to be king of all trees, used his position to force on the nation the sick, the weak, and the ill-equipped in an attempt to dominate the polity and maintain his larger than life status out of office (Judges 9:8-15). So, it did not come as a surprise to me at all when, two days ago, the minority leader of the House of Representatives, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila cited Section 143 of the 1999 Constitution, saying that any action of the President defined as “gross misconduct” by the National Assembly was “sufficient grounds to initiate impeachment proceedings against him.” Let me quote verbatim from Friday July 20, 2012’s Punch [‘Budget: Lawmakers threaten to impeach President’] to buttress my point:

Gbajabiamila had proposed the amendment to a motion before the House on the poor implementation of the 2012 budget.

“If by September 18, the budget performance has not improved to 100%, we shall begin to invoke and draw up articles of impeachment against Mr. President”, he said.

Members shouted aloud “yes”, “yes”, “yes” and clapped for the minority leader as Gbajabiamila made the proposal.

He accused the executive of allegedly breaching the Appropriation Act, 2012 by engaging in “selective implementation” of the budget.

Gbajabiamila added, “What we have in our hands today is a budget of abracadabra; a budget of voodoo economy.

“I like Mr. President, he is a fine gentleman, but I like my people, the Nigerian people more.”

Indeed, Mr. President may be a fine gentleman thrust into a position of leadership by circumstances beyond his control who is now facing a barrage of problems he is incapable of solving. He deserves our sympathy, our prayers, and whatever else we can honourably and legally do to make sure he gets back to his home-base safely.

Perhaps a few suggestions may change the course of our rapid descent into the abyss, since free, fair and credible election is presently alien to our polity. In all honesty, I perceive very strongly that our next general election will be better, though it may come earlier than expected.

Now, a few suggestions:

1. First and foremost, THE UNQUESTIONABLE GOD FACTOR: From both biblical and human history, sometimes – if not at all times – God moves behind the scenes in unimaginable ways and fosters changes that are beyond human comprehension - especially when all hope is lost. Indeed, God changes the times and the seasons, He removes kings and raises up kings (Daniel 2:21 & 22).

The same God who raised David the shepherd boy from the sheepfold and made him king over Israel, and deposed the insane King Saul, still does what pleases Him in the nations of the earth. Oftentimes, when citizens are pushed to the wall and rulers boastfully think they are irremovable due to their political sagacity and ‘matter of cash’ policy, a Jehu type of prophetic revolution is in the making. Other times, God replaces the mighty and the powerful with their own appointed palace administrators. One biblical example is sufficient for our time and our clime.

Hear the declarations of God as recorded in Isaiah 22:15-25 (NKJV):
15 Thus says the Lord God of hosts: “Go, proceed to this steward, to Shebna, who is over the house, and say: 16 ‘What have you here, and whom have you here, that you have hewn a sepulcher here, as he who hews himself a sepulcher on high, who carves a tomb for himself in a rock? 17 Indeed, the Lord will throw you away violently, O mighty man, and will surely seize you. 18 He will surely turn violently and toss you like a ball into a large country; there you shall die, and there your glorious chariots shall be the shame of your master’s house. 19 So I will drive you out of your office, and from your position will pull you down. 20 ‘Then it shall be in that day, that I will call My servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah; 21 I will clothe him with your robe and strengthen him with your belt; I will commit your responsibility into his hand. He shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. 22 The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; so he shall open, and no one shall shut; and he shall shut, and no one shall open. 23 I will fasten him as a peg in a secure place, and he will become a glorious throne to his father’s house. 24 ‘They will hang on him all the glory of his father’s house, the offspring and the posterity, all vessels of small quantity, from the cups to all the pitchers. 25 In that day,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘the peg that is fastened in the secure place will be removed and be cut down and fall, and the burden that was on it will be cut off; for the Lord has spoken.’”

By the way, Eliakim the son of Hilkiah was a palace administrator lifted by God to the status of a king. God placed upon his shoulders the very keys of David to open and shut as he willed (Isaiah 36:3; NKJV). With God all things are possible -- so he who has ears to hear, let him hear.

2. RESIGNATION: Even for a seasoned, well-cooked and well-equipped UK prime minister like Margaret Thatcher, the Iron Lady, the moment the people rose against her policy, she did the honourable and noble thing – she resigned and returned to the parliament before retiring from politics. Resignation is not a sign of weakness - it is a sign of patriotic truthfulness. It is giving opportunity to those who can do a better job in the interest of the nation to carry on with nation-building where the exiting leader stops.

3. IMPEACHMENT: This can only be carried out by the National Assembly and the process has begun. It may be aborted, or it may be carried to its logical conclusion. Either way, it is a worse option and carries a load of shame with it compared to resignation. Come to think of it, Mr. President should not wait for the conclusions in the court of law and the court of public opinion for the Molestation and atrocities committed against the Appropriation Act 2011 in respect of the subsidy scandal (a ghost that still haunts his administration and will not rest in peace until the truth is made known and justice is served). The admission of extra-budgetary spending of over N2 trillion without appropriation is another impeachable time bomb that can explode anytime. It would be a total disgrace if resignation comes after that explosion as was the case for Richard Nixon following the Watergate scandal.

At this juncture, I cannot but wonder what is going on in the minds of those who falsely accused us of crying for regime change in January during the fuel hike crisis. It is the House of Assembly that is now championing same with overwhelming shouts of “yes”, “yes”, and “yes” from the floor members. History truly is lived forward but is written in retrospect. Today’s headlines and history’s judgement are rarely the same. Those who are too attentive to today’s headlines will most certainly not do the hard work of securing a positive verdict from history. Whether or not the President resigns or allows himself to be impeached is his call. In the words of Lord Chesterfield:

“A weak mind is like a microscope which magnifies trifling things but cannot receive great ones.”

If I were Mr. President – unfortunately, I am not, and I do not envy his tottering position, but if I were he – I would give no thought to what the world might say of me, or the drum the hangers-on and political jobbers benefitting from the present chaotic disorder might be beating. I would not “give a damn” if I could only transmit to posterity the reputation of an honest man thrust into the boxing ring to fight enemies I am ill-equipped to fight, and I would therefore resign before I receive a death blow.

4. THE PEOPLE’S REVOLT: I seriously wish and fervently pray that it will not get to the stage of a people’s revolt before positive changes begin to happen in the north and south of Nigeria. Without a doubt, if corruption remains king, violence its deputy, and insecurity the treasurer of the ill-fated status quo Federal Republic of Nigeria, we might as well write the gravestone epitaph today:

“Here lie the remains of a potentially great country whose ruin came because leadership did not give a damn; her filthiness was in her garments, her collapse was awesome, because she did not consider her destiny.”

HEADING 4: THE WAY FORWARD
Without a doubt, the catalogue of scandalous mismanagement of national resources, the unbridled stealing of public funds, and the bewildering exposure of the level of corruption in almost every arm of government as well as governmental agencies and parastatals, call for a change of guards – more so when the president has openly admitted that the security situation in the country has changed his pre-election agenda. And in spite of the president’s promises to deal with insecurity head-on, this government appears helpless because it cannot see the linkage between corruption and violence.

During the fuel hike protests in January this year, neither the threats to our lives nor the tanks that were rolled out brazenly to suppress genuine agitation against oppression, were scary to me. Rather, it was the bold placard held up in Abuja and Ojota Freedom Park by people unknown to me. The placard contained this startling message: “ONE DAY THE POOR WILL HAVE NOTHING LEFT TO EAT BUT THE RICH”; that was very scary to me, “because no nation, no matter how enlightened, can endure criminal violence. If we cannot control it, we are admitting to the world and to ourselves that our laws are no more than a facade that crumbles when the winds of crisis rise.” (Alan Bible)

For that not to happen is the reason for this message. This is no time for false accusations and counter accusations. Mr. President may be doing his best but the impact is not felt anywhere except in the bank accounts of oil vultures, his corrupt political allies and corporate cowboys. We have a patriotic duty to educate our people and we will continue to do that until light replaces the darkness in foggy minds, since education is considered a better safeguard of liberty than a standing army. In the words of Henry Peter Brougham:

“Education makes people easy to lead, but difficult to drive, easy to govern, but impossible to enslave.”
If this message does that, our expectations would have been fully satisfied.

The starting point of any great enterprise is reality. If we are all ruthlessly and brutally honest about our inventory as a nation, Nigeria requires better handling than we are presently experiencing.

May the good Lord in His infinite mercies look down upon our affliction as a people, burst the gloomy cloud of despair over our nation, and raise for us visionary leaders imbued with wisdom, integrity, justice, courage, temperance and fortitude; leaders who we can trust and who can inspire confidence in our people for the rebuilding of our nation. Let me end this message by quoting Joseph Addison:

“There is no greater sign of a general decay of virtue in a nation than a want of zeal in its inhabitants for the good of their country.”

May the zeal of God consume us as a people for the good of our country.

Thank you so much for your attentive ears. And may the good Lord heal, save, and make Nigeria great in our lifetime.

Once again, thank you all.

So are we all to go massacre the Fulanis as the solution?

Every tribe in Nigeria is as guilty as the other.

let all of us repent and turn a new leaf.

The Problem we have is purely corruption. Ethnicity is used as a tool for enrichment by the stealing elites.

Is a stealing GEJ, Obasanjo, Fulanis?

Is Abacha, IBB and the rest Fulanis?

Belewa, Shagari, Muritala, Ahmadu Bello are Fulanis that cannot be accused of being more corrupt that their contemporaries from other tribes in Nigeria.

So To Hell with this anti Fulani posting.

Meanwhile I am a full blooded Igbo.

ROSSIKE: Something else about Nigeria. The rural areas are still treasured by the people, with efforts made to develop them. Nigerians build their retirement homes there, and travel frequently to their home towns. Bustling markets and commercial activities abound there. Rural traditions and customs are still followed and respected.

You'll be surprised that this is actually unique in Africa, where to a large extent, rural areas are largely abandoned and allowed to regress, with many regarding the villages as dead and unworthy. I have friends from places like Zambia and Uganda, and the idea of travelling to one's village for christmas is viewed by them as absurd. Their villages look like what you'd see on CNN - just deprivation. In Nigerian rural areas, you'll find private mansions, schools, hotels, hospitals, markets, fast food joints, and recharge card dealers for mobiles.
This is because the rural areas is a representation of the true Nigerian character. We are truly a great people.

Our townships are a creation of colonization and western powers. It is a creation of the agents of neo-colonialism that is responsible for the hell of a country we are in.

If we think well on this (deep philosophy), we can come to the understanding that what we need as a people is to allow the true Nigerian character to rule us. Our leadership is foreign to us. The people that rule us are agents of imposition. I pray we have the God's given knowledge to understand this.

Most of the characters that parade of leadership positions (in Abuja and the state capitals), who through manipulation produce the local councilors at the local government are unworthy characters that were not well brought up. They are products of a foreign domination. When you want to dominate a people, you prompt the unworthy characters; use them to dominate their people. Most of the people that have a say, in our country are products of unworthy characters. That is why we are backward.

As an Igboman I know that it was the never do wells and rejected people, who never appreciated the decency in having a working society that went to school early enough. That is why they turned our land upside down, because in their gene, orderliness and progress means little. And as people with little knowledge of biology, we know how a snake will most likely give birth to another snake.

Unfortunately, the true Nigerian man is still held up in ignorance, in the villages, unaware of the new order to be able to demand a restoration of order.

Most unfortunately, most of us here are children of the unworthy characters that destroyed our land. We will never understand it, because by birth, we have taken side. By birth, by training, by indoctrination, we cannot play a role in liberating Nigeria.

But the true Nigerian character will one day rise; from the sentiments that reign in the villages.

The sleeping giants will definitively wake up one day; and Nigeria will be reborn.

pro01: You are not quite as bright as your user name suggests. What has being "old enough to be his father" got to do with keeping the President and Commander-in-Chief waiting? I thought senility was a problem associated with old age, but you are obviously quite senile even at your tender age. You slimy pretenders in this country (especially a particular ethnic group) always find it convenient to play the age card as justification for misbehaving. I'll have none of that nonsense.

If you have any iota of learning and exposure, you would know that it is against all norms of protocol and civility for anyone - be he older than the biblical Methuselah - to keep the president waiting. No matter how one hates GEJ's person, you must recognise that by virtue of his position, he is the custodian of Nigeria's sovereignty and so must necessarily enjoy certain courtesies and privileges. Age has NOTHING to do with anything in that regard. I bet you're too brain-damaged by your ill-advised foray into physics to understand these notions.

As for the president being able to depose the Oba of Benin, common, don't be so silly. We know the law vests that power in the governor (although I'm sure you didn't know that). But we also know that, in a Third World 'democracy like Nigeria, the president can intimidate and arm-twist the governor to do what he says. . .lest he gets impeached by extra-legal means. We know how good Obasanjo was in using such strong-arm tactics to achieve his purposes (ask Dariye, Alamieyeseigha, Fayose, etc.). Again I say, GEJ is too modest for my liking. The Oba of Benin would NOT dare try that nonsense with a President Obasanjo. Everyone knows that.
You are quoting utra-constitutional actions here as norm. You are in essence, telling us that we are a third world country and will ever remain as such

You know what it means, in your life, you will never aspire or work for change.

For me and my generations, we are ready to grow, progress and become a developed country. It is by getting rid of people like you and all agents of backwardness, irresponsibility and ignorance that we will begin to make this progress.

You are unworthy of our country because you represent and argue that we remain a third world country.

For you information, all the so called developed countries were once backward and irresponsible in the behaviour and thinking; until well bred people took over their leadership and reshaped their country. It did not happen by accident.

When we get rid of people like you, GEJ, PDP, and all the backward ignorant, corrupt and un-knowledgeable politicians and criminal that today control our fatherland; we will build a country that the black-man will be proud of. We can do it and will certainly do it. We can only be delayed by backward negative characters like you.

Let GEJ acts fast and do whatever he wants, Let PDP and all the criminals do whatever they want, let criminal Tinubu and his ACN gangs keep stealing and lying. let the backward elements in the north keep living in the past, let the crude thieves in the East have their day; Our future will soon come.

GEJ has no power to depose any king. It is unconstitutional. He can try the utra-constitutional criminal ways of theirs; soonest, their time will be up.

In my life time it shall come.

FSU: NORTH Vs JONATHAN: Ex-Generals, others plot against president • Meet in Abuja on how to unseat him in 2015

By: ADE ALADE, Abuja

Saturday, June 23, 2012

The scope of the plot to unseat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government headed by President Goodluck Jonathan in the next presidential election was on Monday night broadened in Abuja, where top northern leaders held a meeting with former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria, (ACN), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The meeting, which had in attendance former heads of state from the North as well as retired military officers, like ex-National Security Adviser (NSA), General Aliyu Gusau and former ministers, is coming on the heels of a similar one between Tinubu and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) presidential candidate in the last general election, General Mohammadu Buhari, in Lagos and Kaduna.

One of the northern leaders, who attended the Abuja meeting, told Saturday Sun: "The meeting was an informal one held to woo the former Lagos governor, Asiwaju Tinubu and discuss possibilities of extending the frontiers of cooperation and collaboration between the people of the North and the South West people ahead of the next election.

"The meeting was also called to broaden whatever discussion is ongoing between Asiwaju Tinubu and the CPC leader, General Buhari because the North cannot afford to gamble with the 2015 election chance, in the face of what the region is going through under the Jonathan administration. Our people have been ruined and as leaders, we are pained over what the present government is doing to the North.

"The only opportunity we have is a democratic change of the situation and that can be achieved through seeking partnership with a formidable opposition party leader, like Asiwaju Tinubu and the South West people who have a record of embracing progressive change."

He said that the meeting was "held over dinner to underscore the convivial mood at the discussion."

It was further gathered that none of the leaders at the meeting spoke about any personal ambition, but rather, "they all emphasised the need for change, irrespective of which section of the country produces the next president."

A northern leader, who attended the meeting told Saturday Sun: "For most of us at the meeting, we have put behind us our past ambitions of ruling the country, but we are all united and committed to a change of the present arrangement. And to buttress selflessness and sincerity of purpose on this matter, we made it clear that our desire for change is not out of desperation to have the North reclaim the presidency because we are ready to even support a better candidate from any other zone, including the South West."

Though no names of likely candidates to support came up at the meeting, a former minister at the meeting disclosed that a repeat of the 1993 Social Democratic Party (SDP) arrangement is on the minds of most of those at the meeting.

"We didn't discuss this, but it is obvious that the North wouldn't mind to persuade the former Lagos governor to vie for the presidency, while we get someone, like the CBN governor to run as his deputy or vice versa. The Muslim-Muslim ticket wouldn't be an issue once the candidates are sellable to the two sides of the divide. Nigerians are only interested in good governance and not religion. We have had a similar arrangement in the past with the Abiola and Kingibe ticket that swept the polls across the country. So, the same thing is still possible," the former minister disclosed.

The consideration of the CBN governor is hinged on the view that "he will be a good candidate that will appeal to the Buhari crowd and also blend with other interest groups from the North."

It will be recalled that Buhari and Tinubu had, after a political meeting in Kaduna about two weeks ago, flown in the same plane from Kaduna to Kano and drove in the same car from the Aminu Kano International Airport to the emir's palace, where the CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, was being installed the Dan Majen Kano.

Lies. No one is plotting anything. The generals are old and as good as dead.

The aim of this article is to create sympathy for a failing GEJ.

Both the generals, Tinubu and GEJ are criminals that we must do away with if and when we want to move forward as a nation.

Let wait and see how it will play out
PoliticsRe: Workable Suggestions To GEJ On How To End The Boko Haram Menace. by Godmann(m): 8:47am On Jun 26, 2012
Personally, I believe no one has suggested a way out of the Boko Haram menace. I pray you guys can go through my suggestions offer intelligent criticisms.

1, I strongly continue to believe that the sponsors of Boko Haram played a major role in the emergence of GEJ as the President of this country.

2, GEJ himself cannot be part of the game. He has been programmed as they usually do to dull African leaders. This in the first place is why Africa is backward.

3, As such GEJ lack the capacity to see through the complex web around him. Most players of the Boko Haram are just but programmed by greater forces that wants to continue to shape and reshape Africa for their own goal.

4, Between, M16, CIA, MOSSAD and may be some few NATO security forces lies the real sponsors of BOKO HARAM. GEJ emergence as the President of this nation, would have been effectively stopped by the Northern forces minus the support of these people. America in particular played a strong discrete role; their private assurance gave a fearful GEJ the backbone to contest the last election.

5, I believe BOKO HARAM is part of a game to weaken Nigeria and see how it can be broken up.

6, If GEJ wants to successfully fight BOKO HARAM, he must investigate the role of those western forces. He must monitor strictly how the multinationals move funds. I suspect they channel their funds to sponsor BOKO HARAM through their contracts awards; making it difficult for government agents to monitor. They use these avenue to sponsor their favoured candidates in elections. That was how they control third world countries.

7, GEJ must develop the capacity to discover foreign intelligence agents and informants that are every where in the head of our security agencies, our government parastals, including among GEJ executive council. I know a lot of you guys will never imagine things. But if you care, you can take a clue from the revelations from Wikileaks about Shells activities in our governments. Shell only confirmed what I have always known.

8, Once GEJ removes the anti-elements in his government; puts dedicated and capable personnel in charge of the security agencies, Boko Haram will be a thing of the past.

But as I said GEJ lack the mental ability to comprehend, appreciate or even believe what I have enumerated. Also he, as well as his inner circle are so much engulfed in tribal politics and Nigerians convoluted past that is full of lies and make-believes to come even give a thought to this. It is easier to believe that BOKO HARAM starts and ends with an attempt to discredit his government. As is usual with all incompetent persons, they would rather believe excuses than intelligence. They also will always believe supposed friends that accept real criticisms and advice.

Secondly, I strongly suspect GEJ in his corrupt ways may also not be willingly to do all that is needed to stop BOKO HARAM. Can he appoint capable persons that may not be overtly loyal to him to work with him? He will not. That is a major problem in this country. We prefer blind loyalty to capability. Remember GEJ who I believe is totally unworthy of that office emerged as this manipulations.

In summary, Boko Haram will continue to throw bombs until its westerfn sponsors ran out of patience. I suspect they will because Nigerians in our dormant nature has continued to fail them in quickly taking to arms to fight ourselves in a religious war that will break up the country. I see that to be the major goal of BOKO HARAM sponsors.
PoliticsRe: Video: How Farouk Lawan Asked Reps To Remove Otedola From Probe Report by Godmann(m): 9:38am On Jun 15, 2012
eniyanman: Today, the legislature must talk directly to the people. It should acknowledge that like Nigeria, most of its members are not immune to corruption. However, it must state in very clear terms that it is its arm of government that has done more to tackle corruption in its midst. It has impeached numerous speakers, removed committee chairmen and dissolved committees simply on the allegation of corruption (it doesn't even wait for them to be found guilty). On the other hand, the executive seem to always provide 'immunity' for corrupts persons. It should ask the people, how many ministers and head of govt agencies have been removed or stood down on the basis of alleged corruption or incompetence? It should ask "how many bribery scandals have been prosecuted even when the counter-parties have been found guilty in foreign countries? It should ask why the executive is so quick to remove a judge based on the recommendations of the NJC but so hesitant to reinstate him when found 'not guilty'.

Today, the problem is not the legislature. Today, the problem is not so much the "One-Party State". The problem is the "One Arm of Govt State" (as alluded to recently by GEJ when he accused the NASS of 'working by the constitution". It is this danger of a single arm of govt (apologies Chimamanda) that we should focus on. The desire of the executive to 'discredit' the legislature and the judiciary to fulfil vested interests.

Today, the House should defend the report (the N2T fraud is a theft of N6M from each and everyone of us) and insist on the prosecution of the indicted and the acceptance of its recommendations. It should open a new investigation to re-examine all the parties cleared by the Lawan committee. Restate its commitment to fight corruption among its members. It should restate its commitment to hold the executive accountable.

PS,
A man's house is burgled in his absence. An 'eye-witness' tells the he saw 6 people burgle the house and named them. Later he retracts two of the names. Later it has found out he had been 'bribed' by the two people. If you were the house owner, would you ask the police to drop the investigation? Or would you insist that all 4 (presumably 6) be tried?
You are a son of your father. You have eyes and can see clearly. We need your type to change this country. Keep focus
PoliticsRe: PDP May Lose Aso Rock If CPC & ACN Merge by Godmann(m): 5:16pm On Jun 08, 2012
Light and Darkness will never meet. They cannot work together because while Buhari represent the clean and progressive side of the divide, Tinubu is too dirty and corrupt to be trusted. Even Buhari once said it.

The Alliance will be a repeat of the 1983 Coup that brought in Buhari as President. Tinubu will be an IBB that is ready to topple his boss.

His as as IBB a dirty Drug Baron.

Buhari beware
PoliticsRe: 2015: Tinubu Meets Buhari To Begin ACN-CPC Merger Talks by Godmann(m): 5:05pm On Jun 08, 2012
PeterKbaba: What as PDP given us and our present generation at the present (since rulling for 35 years of Nigeria ) that could be better than what we all desire of a new Nigeria. Look at Lagos under ACN, that is the definition of what New Nigeria should be like. Do you know that all Nigerian citizens ( all tribes ) are equal with the Yoruba's in Lagos,as long as we all per our taxes and follow the Laws of the land. Majority of fashola's commissioners are from other tribes (especially Igbo's)Tell me how pdp is doing that in other states and the fedural level.

If Buhari accepts tinubu's proposals as Fashola President and El-Rufai as VP... Nigeria will be on the way to a New Nigeria..... Enough of all this our tribal wars among ourselves, since our leaders have said we will never break up no matter our tribal wars... Then its time to vote with serious sense.. Vote for a man that can mope of the problems, without thinking that he would do better in the 2nd term... Fashola as commission of 180 projects as a governor.. ABA,

Nigerian President Jonathan is complaining that EFCC should probe past governor Silva for not building a 5 star hotel in the states... is hotel what government should be about... WE NEED VISIONARY LEADERS WHO CAN PLAN, STRUCTURE, EXECUTE AND LEAD NIGERIA BASE ON THEIR VISION OF THE FUTURE... FASHOLA FITS THE EQUATION PERFECTLY

A PERFECT EXAMPLE IS THE NIGERIAN ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY IN LAGOS, look at how all the stars collaborate together as brothers, understanding that Nigerians should stop looking at each other as enemies... The real Enemies should either be any foreigners bringing war to us OR Penetrating the International market in force money back to Nigeria's GDP.
So Tinubu is no more a thief? And you think Tinubu will not sabotage Buhari the way a crominal IBB sabotaged him and Idiagbon?
PoliticsRe: Prosecute And Jail Or Shoot Them: Buhari On SaharaTV by Godmann(m): 1:52pm On Jun 07, 2012
dr stone: @Demdem, I see that for all you care, your understanding of justice is limited to the word corruption in public office. Ethnic cleanising, religious persecution and terrorism is of no importance to you, more especially since it does not concern you and you have not lost any close relative to it at the moment You dont have relatives killed for no reason but for their religious inclinations. It does not matter 2 u that a particular section of northern elites have cornered the wealth derived from places they dont come from and have kept us in debt, inspite of their stupendous cornering of the country's wealth. while others are forced into unemployment and miseries.... the type of miseries that make southerners cross the arid sahara to make it to a better life in europe. the type that has forced people in the south to send their girls 4 prostitution in europe so they can have a taste of the good life.. the type that has forced a lot of nigerians into fraudsters and drug couriers.... [I ASK AGAIN, WHAT EXACTLY ARE THE IBB's,ALHAJI UMAR MUTALLAB's, ALHAJI ALHAJI, ALHAJI MAI DERIBE's,THE ABACHA's, DANTATA's, ALL THE NORTHERN FULANI GENERALS USING THEIR MONEY FOR(I can assure you that when Buhari talks of shooting, he does not mean these ones)huh?] this same BUhari maltreated the Oni Of Ife and Ado bayero just because 2 of them visited Israel on a business trip back then in '84. ...am sure u were a kid then. Fashola in lagos is making Strides without sheddinng BLOOOOD or being Blood thirsty and being a leader 4 all.... Take a cue from him. there are many ways of killing a rat without having to shed blood. The first Coup in this country that later plunged he country into an avoidable civil war years later, has been premised on destroying corrupt people and stamping out corruption...it ended the lives of the likes of Sardauna and Co...the same people that are being eulogised today as great leaders. every other successful coupist have based their rationale on the fact that they want to cleanse the polity and under them we had record billions being siphoned. I can Categorically tell you that Buhari cannot Look at IBB in the Eye to try him, talkless of Shooting him...Even the Thought shall crush him. Abacha chased away small small southern thieves in the name of prosecuting failed bank chiefs only to become the biggest looter in Nigeria's history. Your guy, BUHARI served him well and continues to defend the thief. Sorry, Praise the thief.. But let it be an Oyegbola or Madubuko......They will be hanged 7times....I am already shedding tears for KEN SAR-WIWA as i write. Even the reference to Ghana is funny, look at your peculiar environment and develop solutions most suitable to it.
With the help of astute Political propaganda, buhari is portrayed as an incoruptible person....He has serious defects that hinder his credibility. he that comes to equity must come with clean hands....AND this your man B?UHARI, does not have clean hands, but BLOOODY HANDS. In 2015, He is hoping for more blooood, again trust me, it is the blood of Christians in the North He is loooking for. He should advise himself and those who follow him.
Just to understand you very well, are you not one of the children of the stealing elites that stole this country dry? tell the truth.

Northern elites must have cornered our oil blocks to themselves, but is Buhari part of it? Did Buhari take one to himself or give to his friends and relations both as NNPC head or as head of state? Be specific and we can appreciate you.

The little money that got to us in the south, did our stealing brother like Tinubu and Fashola who you have mentioned as your role model not steal them? Is Tinubu not a rogue, a drug baron? Is fashola not allowing him to get aware with it? So you want us to have a Tinubu/Fashola pair as our messiah?

Is Buhari in anyway in support of the stealing Northern elites who are in no way different from their fellow rogues in the south? In particular, my region {East} has not fairer in any way better when it comes to corruption and stealing.

I believe you are a product and beneficiary of the evil corrupt system we are in; of course most of us that have access to Nairaland are. The real masses of Nigeria are yet to know themselves because they are poor.
