MarieSucre: ezeagu AABeauty herald9_ na me see you pass o!
How else would they convince us to worship their god without demonizing our gods and adopt their culture degrading our culture(agreed some parts of our culture was just plain shitty). That is a time and time again tried and tested principle. Throw dirt on the competitors/rivals/opposition which makes you either the only available choice
But that was over a hundred years ago. The white man left our shores about fifty years ago. We are the ones destroying our homes with our hands. They empowered poor people and used them against the enlightened and wealthy people which led to the death of civilisation in Africa... Cos the poor began to rule and made sure their followers didn't get enlightened.. |

mcvaeey: if not that your father is a fool and your mother a prostitute, how can you call edo state a south west state? You igbos are indeed very stupid. I'm not surprised you people are the most insulted and most hated tribe in Nigeria. Edo is pure south south and not south west. Does it pain you that edo state is better than all your south east states put together? If you're going to throw tantrums at any tribe feel to do so. But don't include edo in your stupidity. I'm not igbo... |

Sanchez01: Funny, I'm no racist. We had other forms of reading before western education which was sign dependent. Even if we decided to change its name just to deny being taught on how to read and write by Christian missionaries, it still wouldn't take the established truth away. The great pyramid was built by Africans... Its the oldest building in the world... That's enough evidence to prove where civilisation began... |

AreaFada2: You're right. Volumewise, Edo is highest producer of plantain. Not Osun as someone asserted above. Ask Bunmi/World1 (a guru farmer from Ogun State in Agric section). Followed by Ondo. Edo produces virtually everything in the SE (except coal) and SW: Cocoa, Rubber, Timber, oil palm are very high in production. Lately every farmer seems to have a few acres of oil palm. National Institute for Oil Palm Research (NIFOR) was first set up in Edo before branches elsewhere were etablished. Cement, bitumen, Crude oil, tomatoes, yam, peanuts, rice and so on are all produced. If not very large but certainly in commercial quantity.
Basically, each State/region produces something and has potential to contribute meaningfully to national growth if we focus on areas of relative strength. Edo is a SW state |

Teempakguy: and if he does, what will happen? Does it change anything? If dangote was a Yoruba man, would I think he was taking my stuff for free? Then why should I think he is a thief because he is Hausa? Are we all not in the same country? So what you're saying now is, if I were to buy a huge piece of land in your state, and I discovered gold on every inch of it, I am not allowed to mine my own lands because it's in your state and I am a thief? What sort of thinking is that?
Also, like I earlier said, in the SW, allocations hardly matter. People refine their own roads, provide their own power when possible, and don't take it easy with their government at all. And as is readily seen, SW states are developing at a fast rate. What else do we need a beg? Once a natural resource is discovered in someones' land it becomes govt property... Once the govt or private company begins primary production.. They must pay tax to the state where the resources are found.. |

Sanchez01: I apologize for saying this but the problem of the North is "Islam". This is not a direct attempt to rubbish the religion but the fact that Western education could threaten the belief and practice of the religion has left almost every part of the North in perpetual darkness. The few educated ones among them are hindering others from being educated. They would rather prefer to have them live as peasants.
Ever wondered why there are no Northern innovators? Truth is, there may never be because the Northern powers that be prefer that others serve them rather than serve themselves.
Religion and lack of western education seems to be the problem. You are also part of the problem... Stop calling it "western education".. Education originated from Africa.. |

Teempakguy: The north produces all the food.
The south east receives the highest allocations.
Yet they complain that they are being marginalized and claim that they are being stolen from. While boasting that they feed the whole country.
Fortunately, it is only the fools among them that behave in this manner. That's what they make it seem like If you read the article well.. You'll see that Ogun has the largest deposits of resources for cement.. So how is dangote the richest man in Nigeria and why is Ogun IGR not the highest in Nigeria |

I tink d govt need to make agriculture attractive, put some measure in place to maintain d agriculture produce and management of it... If the north was leading in anything they would never resort to boko haram... When it comes to Agriculture the central Nigeria and SW are leading.. |

My question is, Was it a pre planned Ops by the northern establishment to rein in BH You noticed it too . Nice It means pmb and shekau know each other and recent visits of pmb to chad, Niger, benin, cameroon confirms bh is a northern conspiracy to embezzle more money from SS oil revenue.. |

gimakon: From what I see, Idris Debby and his fellow northern cohorts are Boko haram we see. Doing everything in thier power to make sure Nigeria becomes as hungry as they are. Must Islam be as dominant in Nigeria as it is in Chad? What sort of rubbish is this, if I may ask by the way, face it, this fool is indirectly asking Buhari to negotiate, what he didn't get during Jonathan's tenure he's indirectly looking for Buhari to complete it for him.
I'm surprised! We should pray for Nigeria, Buhari must not in the name of this Allah whatever grant a listening ear to people who raped over 200 girls, killed how many people and even today bomb went off again! Buhari, don't be a fool and allow this rags to bring your nation down. Better buy weapons and finish this Bokoharam, after all you promised to wipe them out. You are the president, do your fucki*ng Job, PERIOD. Its funny how no one and no media outlet has noticed that since pmb resumed as president he has never said one word about INFRASTRUCTURAL development to the north and boosting education in the north.. |

gimakon: Story. Two things here
Chad has responsibility of knowing places shekau has been "hiding" Hmmmm and idris debby always speaks for "notice " of Boko haram. Secondly, Buhari is "moving" to hold negotiations with the Islamic sect as I once heard
I picked those two things, but hence I don't have proof for now, I keep quiet until what I want to hear and see surfaces.
Prayer is what Nigeria needs now. Also add this... Pmb visits benin republic so that bh can bomb their way into Nigeria through the SW.. |

What social services n welfare progs are? Smh...some enlightened olodo boku for here. samsilo: I often feel like shedding tears when I read the sort of comments I see here . You say Nigeria is rich ?? What is the GDP per capita of Nigeria (less than $6000) , compare with developed countries How many citizens have access to healthcare clean water or electricity . I work in healthcare and can tell you many hospitals in the UK have annual budgets close £100 million (please convert to naira) The fact that the countries wealth is in the hands of less than 5% of the population who live in the cities and can afford a life of luxury seems to fool a lot of us into believing Nigeria is rich jessymedugu: ...Indices and parameters of evaluating a rich country such as economic advancement, improved social services were lacking.
I wonder if some of the commentators missed out the above passage.....with this, we're educationally poor too. emmatok: You forgot that a country riches is not determined by her resources, but by income distribution.
Nigeria is poor, because we don't have better income distribution. ^^^^More PAID e-WARRIORS.... |
