Rexnegro: Ur comment shows you lack brain...you mentioned few nigerians among millions of nigerians suffering , what's The percentage of those mentioned ? When a con3 is rich it will show in a big percentage of most of her citizens not just few. How can you say nigeria is rich when a common live below 1dollar a day ? You can only say nigeria is rich in term of natural resources but it doesn't translate in her citizens lives, why ? Well bad govt and bad mgt caused it over the yrs. AlphaDibia: Some Nigerians are delusional.. when will you learn? Nigeria is not rich. Here's a thinking for you: what, other than oil, do we proproduce AND export? How does the Nigerian government generate revenue? How much foreign investment is done in Nigeria? I could go on and on but you get the gist. petrelli07: I think this is the most astute observation by any Nigerian leader in a long while .... The indices used to judging the wealth of a country are not it's natural resources but it's social welfare scheme, infrastructural advances and the standsrd of living of its average citizens... ^^^^These guys are PAID e-WARRIORS... |

dinachi: Are you for real? So if a child is curious about sex, watching porn secretly in his room is the way to go? With this kind of thinking, children are not safe around you! What happened to asking questions? When a child begins to watch porn, he is no longer curious he is now learning how to objectify women as sex symbols. I bet you and cococandy as parents would have gladly finished watching the porn with him and maybe even remove your clothes and perform your love making acts in his presense to satisfy his curiosity! God save kids from your likes! Richy4: You really really need some growing up to do. Stop acting holier than Pope himself. It is your type that preaches super holy and do the otherwise in secret. And FYI I hated your type with passion.
Here is a kid who really needed information, and the best you can think is beat him up. Don't you know that education is the key? Besides how do you yourself learn about sex. And please don't even say it came naturally.
No wonder people say pastors kids are the worst sets of kids ever produced. Why wouldn't they say that when they have the likes of you putting on the holy robe and ready to pass judgment on a kid who doesn't know why his body is functioning the way it does. Knowing fully well that teenagers are in a confused stage in life and needed guidance.
And as for your comments about kids not being safe with me, I will simply let a low life judgemental person like you pass today because it was the first time you got into my space. And it was your first offence but Make sure it doesn't happen again. You guys have issues There is no difference between watching porn and looking at a person with lust. People start having lustful thoughts at a very young age... that means everyone has watched porn at a point in their lives... The sexual urge is a natural feeling and if you don't teach and control your children about sex.. They will learn it naturally and practise away from home. |

mmsen: China is the exception, not the norm. They have an entirely different system of government.
The Chinese realized that the majority would not be able to feel the benefit of any reforms without a slowdown in population growth. For whatever reason people at the bottom of the social pyramid seem to have a peculiar need to have more children than they can cater for, this is a universal trait and the reason why large swathes of India's population is not feeling the positive benefit of their increasing national fortune.
Most nations (democracies especially) leave the issue of childbirth to the individual, or at least pretend to (Sweden used to quietly sterilize its own citizens until the mid 1970s).
I would have no issue with a one child policy but you can imagine how the religious bodies and and their sheep would kick against it. Sadly their influence in Nigeria is very real and almost completely negative. cccxxiii: Good point Sir but I think the government can regulate the number of children. The very essence of a government is for the overall wellbeing and welfare of the masses. A developing country like China for example has laws prohibiting more than one offspring. That maybe because of their booming population but it also has economic implication. Don't ever compare China/india population to Nigeria.. Nigeria's population is inflated for higher allocation... Search online for pedestrian traffic among China, india and Nigeria... In China, they are like ants.. |

Creamz: Our leaders always want to keep the masses poor so that during electioneering period, 200 Naira or 1 tin tomatoes can easy buy them 3 votes lol....the sad thing about it is that those who takes these monies or tin tomatoes feel that's their own national cake. Some people don't think they can be richer than their leaders... |

chronique: True. Nigeria is a very rich nation but we're ranked amongst the world's poorest nations. The way that we live, reason and behave got me feeling and believing that we're living in a "psychiatric nation". So long as our leaders keep playing God in our lives and we keep giving them the opportunity to do so,we'd continually live as slaves to them.
There's also a silent epidemic ravaging Nigeria today, which most people haven't taken note of. There seems to be an upsurge in the number of silly and gullible Nigerians being developed daily. Nairaland and the last elections, has afforded me the opportunity of knowing that for a fact. The way some people vehemently defend some politicians and political parties with all their being even when they are sounding very stupid, could be quite amazing. The two things that I personally see as destroying the psyche of most Nigerians, are "poverty of the mind" and "stupidity and the constant act of being gullible". The OP answer the bold part... They are paid to defend politicians... There are many paid illiterate on NL their job is to say praise politicians... Just read any thread where the topic has a politician's name in the heading.. |

abagoro: If we are to base on geo-political arrangements then Lagos is Southwest while Kwara is North central. However since we are discussing core ethnic Yoruba and Igbo States, Lagos is off. Even Ondo is suspect as Edo and Ijaw traces are glaring in that State. There is nothing like north-central.... The term "north central" was created by northern leaders to lay claim to what is not theirs during the elections.. It meant to be CENTRAL NIGERIA.. The tribes there are not hausa, fulani or kanuri... They are not northerners.. Edo and yoruba are closely related.. The "ijaw" you are referring to is the "itsekiri tribe" they are also closely related to the yoruba.. |

sunnyb0b0: UNIZIK didn't move to their permanent site in 1992. They did in 2003/2004. The University itself was established in1991 from the Awka campus of ANSUTECH (which was operating from rented apartments) while the main campus in Enugu became ESUT. Its very bad of you to still be defending the underdevelopment of the university. The uni is over 20 yrs old and when they moved to their permanent site does not matter.. |

CSTR2: cocoa has never sustained Nigeria in our entire national history. The SW ofcourse, but not Nigeria. Cocoa was not even Nigeria's biggest foreign exchange earner before oil. Btw, 50% of the money Nigeria earned from cocoa went to awolowo. SW is not the only region that produces cocoa in Nigeria but it has the highest quantity.. If cocoa was not Nigeria's biggest earner then what was Nigeria exporting apart from cocoa, rubber, food e.t.c |

You want Igbos to come and rescue you from the hand of you slave masters * Tufiakwa*...SS/ND and SE will leave Nigeria so that the Fulanis will continue conquering South west Region If you read history you'll know SE and northerners have been fighting for decades... You see most times I begin to wonder when people come up with ridiculous statements like "Nigerians are intelligent people" I begin to wonder where from, is it the comments I read on Nairaland or the comments I hear on air during call in programs, the problem is, we really don't see education as a means to relate with the outside world, a means to get enlightenment and be at par with our contemporaries worldwide, we only see it as a means of acquiring q certificate to gain employment , thus making us parochially minded towards education. Its Very appalling and devastating to say the least my brother. We cry of our leaders, but suffix to tell that the leaders are only a reflection of the people... we have a long way to go my brother What rubbish are you spewing I'm sure if you ask degbads how he was able to read and understand those comments he'll tell you they don't blow GRAMMAR like Nigerians They use the simplest grammar unlike you and your likes |
