I was in Toronto in 11/05-oh my-How time flies, feels like it was just yesterday. If I and my friends knew about the play (i.e. of course if it was playing then) we would have gone to see it. Toronto was fun; very pricey but fun-How can I forget the $35.00 burger my poor lil bro bought from the Skylon Tower all for the sake of spinning around and a great view, or our $30+ per plate dishes for the rest of our stay there bc my friends wanted to indulge, and oh that seafood platter that my rendered my girlfriend's lil bro and girlfriend broke the very next day! All for the sake of showing off, Oh yeah, the platter in case you are wondering was $150 U.S dollars, lol lipsrsealed Talk about the celebrity life, Oh Toronto, sweet Toronto, I think about it as I sit here sipping hot cocoa from my white Toronto mug, Anyway sha, I don't blame Toronto, it is a tourist site, Oh did I tell you how cold it was there-Oh yeah we saw Niagra falls alright!! My best part of the trip was our stop at the duty free shop! tongue

Let me stop-lol, We had a great time even if we had to keep our coats on for most of the time, oh yeah you know what I liked too, How they have those underground walkways to keep out of the cold, cool stuff! 6 of 7 of us slept the whole way back while trusty lil susan (our GPS) was faithful to our sleepy driver, lol!! Who refuses to forgive us btw, Canda was fun,

As for the play, I guess I'll check it out when next I visit

Romance / Re: Should I Arrest My 14 Year Old Wife Father? by Godsgirl(f): 1:36am On Jan 31, 2008
It's called pedophilia, it is not too late to get help. It is an actual DSM IV diagnosis. That is of course if you fit the criteria.

"In DSM-IV, the APA said that a person who molested children was only disordered if his actions “caused clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupations, or other important areas of functioning.” In short, if a child molester felt no guilt about his abuse of children—and could function normally in society—he was considered psychologically normal."_Narth

Bottom line: You are either abnormal (pedophile) or normal (morally wrong and could face up to 25 yrs-life in jail in the U.S.) Might be a good idea you don't live in the States bc inmates gang rape, then murder pedophiles as soon as possible. Most pediphiles do not last up to a week alive behind bars. Once your offense is exposed, your crime is deemed worse than a murderer's.

Note: a pedophile does not stop at one victim, they keep going and going, and seek younger victims, some even lust after their own children.

There is hope but one must admit they have a problem in order to get help!

If I was already married to him, yeah, why not? Is that not my home land? besides, I plan to settle in Nigeria with my private practice anyway (God willing). The issue however is "before that marriage takes place" The distance between countries is not for me. I cannot trust that such relationship exists w/o motives.  Now if the woman/man already had access to the States but lives in Naija, that is a dif story. I am just speaking from experience of those here that I know who are still recovering from men with motives.

Also, I tried to e-chatting thing just for fun in undergrad and that was a big joke. The guys ended up being someone else from who they claimed to be  sad with diff pictures  grin

I know my husband is a Nigerian that is already in the States.

A slight deviation,

This just came to me, If any man in church found me attractive due to some skimpy-slutty revealing clothes I had on (trouser or skirt), I would not want to have a relationship with him because the foundation is pretty weak.  I like to ask men that fall for me what it is they saw in me to attract them to me in that capacity, Most get disqualified by their response to that ques.  kiss This is not surprising to those who know me. I am very strict and discerning when it comes to this.

@ Boon:

Thanks for the info  kiss  I knew I couldn't have been that boring  embarassed Unfortunately, I see that I even put the guy above to sleep with this thread. Well, I am grateful that at least my love thread is still going strong, I guess I gotta stick to my specialty huh?  cheesy . I am not good at being a jack of all trades.

Question:
Now, under the thread you sent me to "what unusual thing" which post of mine were you refering to? I had more than 1.

Yes, I am feeling better now. I thank you for caring enough to ask. I was not ill physically, I was just beginning to feel a spiritual disconnect (you know that feeling? when you know you just gotta worship and need an entire day away from folks?) The Lord had to get me back to center, I believe that an inability for one to discern when they are beginning to disconnect can lead to a full blown backslide, it starts off really small

On a lighter note, Since this thread is slow I could probably direct all fighters here to sort themselves out "here" rather than ruin someone else's thread. What do you think?

@ Boon:

In response, If I was married and my man had to move to another country for whatever reason, I would follow him because I believe that the woman's place is with her man.

@ Boon:

Thanks,  smiley It's a compliment coming from you. It's just that sometimes I really hate to express myself. When I do, some do not believe me or think I am naive.  sad  These "some" have been hurt by someone they trusted and now totally give up hope that anyone else could be any diff from the rest. I am not saying this is what you think of me, all I am saying is, I do speak from my heart and I try to keep the Lord very close to it. I take a forum such as 'Naira Rules' seriously; If one comment of mine would touch or change @ least one person's life, I would count it all joy in the Lord. I am just a messenger-Not sure how much longer I will be here. Already as it is, I have had problems getting off the forum at times and that is not good. I need to keep some balance in my life-anything I am addicted to that is not God, cannot be constructive.  As far as my little exchange w K0be, It is not easy to love someone who does not want you. But I do not think violence or hate would help matters. Love is a choice. Love is God.

K0be, you are too much  grin (eww, I hate that smiley face-it is so cheesy)

K0be, you know Boon and I love you. You want to be a love-vendor but I can see right through you.

By the way, do you ever sleep? and why have you decided to refer to me as "gogirl" instead. I have noticed that for some time, I thought it was a typo but you have been consistent. Have has my Father done to you??

@ Boon

Very well put,  wink and no, I was not led by the spirit. Just my curious mind. I did not really think so (that would have been a real good alter ego). But I knew it was just a possibility.

Thanks for the new slang, I'll keep that in mind.  wink

what I think of Deuteronomy 22:5?

Well, I would look at it in the context of the time in which the Israelites lived. There were under the law and Christ has redeemed us from the "curse" of the law (not the blessings-please note, we believers are still entitled to the "blessings" of Abraham).

Now, lets talk new testament-When Paul addressed issues pertaining to the law, he made it clear that the plan was not to "abolish" the law, but we must recognize that we are under a new convenant. Therefore, we must not be held accuntable to the old one.
The new convenant with Christ is heart driven (Spirit-led life), the old covenatnt with Moses was "Deeds" driven (religion)

This goes back to my orig point-If we are now under a new convenant, such bans must not be imposed on individuals. However the individuals themselves need a change from the inside out. What is being preached in the pulpit should be Spirit led and should convict the congregation of such things.

This is why I say this cannot totally work, It is a good preventative measure however the women who have been taken over by sexual demons will find another way to entice men.

My brother, These are the last days! I am no longer surprised.

shocked K0be!!!!! that is not nice! I thank God I am not you. Well, guess what, if she gets hit by a bus and dies, and if he comes to me for a relationship, I will not take him.

Why? because I cannot be any man's second choice. Simple!

But guess what, I'll still love him, kiss(probably try to hook him up with one of my girls)

Love is like this:

You love someone, smiley But, they are in love with someone else cry. Rather than to be hateful and jealous angry, you pray that the person they are in love with will not hurt them but will love them as much as you do if not more cheesy. Because when they hurt, you hurt more.

Now, That is Agape kind of love, Can you dig that?

Seek this kind of love, it lasts, wink
