We have seen numerous examples of children from deprived, unstable background with brains as hot as fire.

Intelligence is as genetic as it is from nuture. infact, even more so.

these are exceptional cases...base on the topic, we considered that as part of exogenous variables that need to be held constant.

OP, pls take this from someone that has done a PGD before. Don't waste your time and money.
PGD is a waste of time.
I'll tell u why:
First they tell you it 18months. Trust me u will spend much longer. It can get up to three years. Universities don't pay attention to PGD students hence na anytime dey like dem dey attend to them. I spent close to three years for PGD at Unizik. Still even waiting for the result since 2014.

Secondly, you spend a while lot of money. You may think you'll pay ur fees maybe once or twice, trust me it can get up to thrice, d fees don't stop from one story to another.

Thirdly even if you do 4 PGD's the first point of call when applying for anything is your first degree. When it doesn't meet their 1.1 or 2.1 your PGD doesn't matter. PGD doesn't cover your first degree by anymeans. Only few firms or properly lecturing MAY give u audience.

My Advice
Apply for a D.E start from 300level and get a good first degree.
Or Go do professional courses, well known ones. The ACA, the ICAN, belong to a professional body, etc.

you are very correct sir... Uniben business administration dept is the worst when it comes to running PGD. My brother, most departments don't pay serious attention to PGD students. I see running PGD in some departments as a waste of financial resources. At least one will pay tuition fee for three or four sessions

Graduating as the best student in your department is no guarantee to success in life, the award might only give you an edge when applying for certain scholarships like ptdf. What you need to do now is to focus on life after school, Improve your communication skills,get a mentor who is practicing your preferred occupation and learn from real life situations, start a business if possible, keep reading and maintain your first class. You might still graduate as the best in your department if you are destined to.

I wasted my university days on stuffs like this too,the only competition I'm in now is with myself. I have to keep being a better person everyday.

you are very correct my brother.... he is running a race that will never produce a winner in the long run. after 5 years , first class certificate without work experience is valueless.... academic qualifications cannot be compared to work experience

I got a call from one Lateef to make a reservation for 3nights because I work in a resort. When I got the call, I took the reservation and the man gave the reservation name as Lateef. He booked 2rooms.

We spoke a couple of time before his arrival date because he always had questions to ask.

Then he checked in with his family......i couldn't confirm his payment in time so I told him I wouldn't check him in to the room until a notification of payment is received. He was calm.....He understood, together with his family, he sat at the Resturant waiting.

Then payment was received and i checked him in......he was smiling all through.

Then my manager saw him and said....."do you want to tell me you don't know that man" i was like " no ma" She said " that's lateef, moshood abiola's first son..........okay, kuku kee me. And ofcos he tipped me enough to make me smile.

It was the highest form of humility I came across. Other experiences I had , I knew who they were before meeting them.

private university is better if you can afford it... but Afe babalola is far from your region... if you cannot afford it, you can try unilorin. Unilorin is faster and cheaper compare to other federal universities that I know in South west , but admission for their postgraduate program is highly competitive

my brother, this is my fourth year studying Msc in business administration, uniben.. the problem is department. the duration for course work is three semesters (with 7 courses for the first two semesters and 5 courses for the third semester ) .while it is two semesters in other departments ... delay in assigning students to supervisors. in fact, we spent two years before we were assigned to supervisors.. I won't advise my enemy to apply to that useless department

The phD admission portal for UT will be opened by MAY 1st, 2019.

Prepare for the suggested research proposals.

Try to take an English proficiency test (IELTS, TOEFL and PTE) before hand.

Get all your application documents ready before the application period.


The phD program is tuition free.... confirmed and it comes with a monthly stipend of 660 euros and additional 400 euros which is based on your academic performance.


Mind you, Estonia has no visa representation in Nigeria for now.

how tedious it is to get admission for PhD in business administration... only one school offers PhD in business administration, which is university of tartu, and I also read online that all applicants are to write entrance exam but the PhD programs is free tuition fee. ... I have cgpa of 3.95, aggregate of 60+ ,what is the chance of being considered for admission?
