It's not even a thing you debate with anyone. Van Dijk is the best and most complete defender in the world. He is better than the others by some distance. He is one of those players who makes you want to sack your recruiting department. What were they doing and how did they miss him. It’s infuriating how easy everything is for him. Yes he was that good at Southampton but their was just little media concentration on him. Their is a reason Liverpool paid 75million for him in the first place.

I was having this same argument somewhere, some years ago. Maybe as a right back, Ramos is a great defender, but as a central back he isn't. He isn't a disciplined CB, always out of position, committing reckless fouls here are there because of his defensive deficiencies.

How can some people be shitting on Terry and Ferdinand and then go ahead to list Ramos that is wreckless, commit fouls, always out of position, makes mistakes weekly and with 25 red cards in his career as a great defender. That's an Error i repeat. Judging Ramos by his defensive ability he is a wack defender and a clown.

Their is nothing great about Ramos defensive ability. His accolades has made him more glorified than his actual ability as spillo pointed out before. Judging Ramos purely on his defensive ability he is wack and not better off than David Luiz or any other error prone defender out there. Most carded player in the history of la liga, Real Madrid, El classico ,Spainish national team, Champions league and the entire of Europe's major leagues.
