PDPmamapiss:You APC goons are not only liars you are very acknowledged for your deceitful love for skewing facts : Gov. Amaechi you claim 'ruled Rivers for mandatory 8 years'......You are really audacious in your lying craft..... |
OP.....horses and their riders ain't a strange sight along Awolowo Road, Ikoyi......There is a polo ground within the precincts where this photograph was taken..... Residents and visitors to the neighborhood...... Thus quite too often get treated to seeing horses being taken for a walk along that street......... The horse rider was thus not doing anything extraordinary..... What you saw was damn routine...... |
Folks with posers/questions to FTA issues they are challenged with should as a matter of courtesy do themselves and other N/Landers the favour of reading through the earlier posts on the thread.... Before breaking in with their questions....... This thread is a hidden minefield bellefully filled with enough information to build up any industrious person quest to put up a doctoral thesis..... We should stop going for a quick fix.....reading through these earlie r posts from pages one would not take 50 years to accomplish......... |

Before we end up asserting everybody here in Nigeria is a descendant of Adolf Hitler......It is imperative that we take a second look at the response from the NASS..... It is troubling to note that simply because folks hear the FOI Act has been enacted, everybody begins in derogation of extant regulations made to give effect to its provisions..... to make requests for information either classified/excluded or within their reach from other public institutions and then turn around to use the refusal to oblige them these information within their reach as a tool for blackmail........ Soon because of FOI Act, somebody go come request for information to know the particular room PGEJ dey sleep for him official residence for Aso Villa |
faithchild:Our brother man... George D.....we dey thank you.......... And as we dey thank God Almighty for making your wealth of knowledge and philantrophy available to folks here for our dear nairaland......We dey also pray to God too say From where these ones comot make more enter....... Thank you......once again.... |
abduljabbar4:It does appear you have issues with comprehension. Barcanista's is not and has never disputed the fact that 10 or more persons were arrested......his worries stem at the fact that those arrested do NOT get to pay for their crimes they were arrested for much earlier for committing..... That is the trend he wants to see reversed in this particular scenario by the Emir.......... |
Good riddance to bad rubbish.....we are in dire need of another hogwash passed off as a story... |
raumdeuter:So damn true....the clueless PGEJ led Federal Executive arm of government failed woefully to make provision for an important expenditure item such as subsidy payments......and the smart APC wielding an overwhelming majority of the members in the two chambers of the national Assembly... charged with the onerous responsibility of appropriating funds to be expended cluefully did nothing about this clueless anomaly....whilst they proceeded to add to the proposals presented to them by the PGEJ led federal executive..... You APC oafs are indeed a pathetic lot.....Shebi you guys claimed subsidy payments were a scam/hoax used to fleece the treasury by PGEJ PDP led FG....so why ask for it.....when the FG has decided to relief the treasury of the leakages occasioned from these losses..... |
Abi no be sachet Peak/cowbell powdered milk and bournita/Ovaltine dem dey serve to guests for breakfast from Hilton, Sheraton to Hotel Presidential for Port Harcourt or an dem don dey serve 400g of Peak/cowbell powdered tin milk or 400g of powdered bourvita or Ovaltine? These APC folks should stop embarrassing us....my attention was drawn to this post by the sacked reactions of some Europeans......... And for those mouthing obscenities at provisions made in the Federal Budgets for Feeding and Catering services for the several offices under the Presidency.....They should put on their thinking caps for once and ask the APC that commands a majority in the two chambers of the NASS.... Why they did not direct their party members to yank off the provisions in the Appropriation Act....since it was indeed an unnecessary expenditure head....because the House of Representatives did nothing to touch this head of expenditure..... We shall truly take GMB serooius if after his swearing in on the 29/5/15 -31/12/15.....he does not grant any approval for the expenditure of any kobo from the huge sums appropriated.......We sure are watching in 6D... |
SkyBlue1:Go get your facts right..... The Auditor -General of the Federation in compliance with directives of the Presidency unveiled the report to the public at a highly publicized event...soon after the report was submitted to government by the external auditors PwC..... |
Sweetguy25:The beautiful side of being a married woman.....you enjoy dual nationality.....both husband side and fathers side.....any attempt to discriminate against you....na society the individual go get take on...All that is required is that you be acknowledged to be a 'good wife cum daughter'.... Reminds me of the brouhaha.... Occasioned by the attempt to deny a female judge of the high court of the eastern states her elevation and promotion to the Court of Appeal on the basis of this she is not from that state but is married to a son of that state...... Remember the stern warning from the State President David Mark.... |
SweetWJ:Please the link to the site.....you made your discovery....make we do follow up to see wet in folks fit unearth with this dish and the avalanche of LNBs.... |
SweetWJ:Well said my brother man.....I guess from his apologies.....he was mistaken....do forgive the young man........Following the redirections and admonitions, he sure would not inadvertently be making this similar mistake again in the future..... |
faithchild:You are welcome......this is the spirit that binds us all as Africans....we see ourselves as one....no matter the situation....... |
faithchild:We all they join hand to thank God Almighty on behalf of George D...for the good thing wey him dey do for you.....no come use style block the blessings wey go come George D way in return from God Almighty...... Na so those of us wey dem raise for home dey do am as real African children...... Nobody dey begrudge you.....so make you no fear afraid...... Offer your apology for the wrong hasty accusation wey you just make.....make angels no report you to God Almighty for picking unnecessary fight with person wey dey give glory and thanks to God Almighty on your behalf........ |
Unlike their civilian counterparts in the civil service...who are likely to stay over by manipulating their records and ages, in the military.....the thin officer corps get paid to manage the large body of troops under their command..... Upon attainment of the mandatory 35 years, these gentlemen know they are due to go....and only in exceptional circumstances do they stay a day longer than necessary....... To gullible civilians, ignorant in the ways and noble traditions of the military....they will keep on speculating in their gory state of idleness..... Bravo....to these army top brass for brazzing it past the tapes unlike some of their contemporaries....... I will still urge my fellow country to take a far more interest in the workings and dynamics of the agencies of the Nigerian government.... 85% of the comments are indeed really off the cuff and they indeed show the dearth of knowledge on the issue the subject matter of discuss on a leading global forum such as nairaland. |
These APC goons and party stalwarts are sheer blackmailers and con artists.......Here they are pretentiously crying wolf when there is non about..... Their members alongside other legislators from the other parties in the National Assembly enact a law: The 2015 Appropriation Act, without making provisions for the payment of subsidy, in both Legislative Chambers of the NASS where the APC commands an overwhelming majority of the NASS membership and they are heard pretending to the Nigerian masses that this is the handiwork of their adversaries in the PDP..... I wonder when they would be man enough to assume responsibilities for both their actions and inactions..... |
MalcoImX:And then GMB would in return sponsor folks who refuse to send their kids to school in the north to Mecca on pilgrimage..... Enough of thes sanctimonious excuses......I had hoped and still desirous of seeing the names and faces of first class graduates of northern extraction that Prof Okojie had 'wickedly' sidelined so that the benefit of the scholarships would go exclusively to their hardworking counterparts from the southern Nigeria...... Unlike the GMB school certificate imbroglio..... Even if we wait till eternity..... For the processing of the candidates for the second phase of the program..... The devil does not have additional northern graduates with first class degree certificate to oblige these northern folks to fill up their perceived quota....... |
taharqa:How I wish they would listen to you......they would rather not....... Let them produce First graduates......if na PVCs and WASC certificates in other peoples names...dem go dey front list.... |
Wsdm:Present those wonderful.....First rate first class graduates so that they can be on the PRESSID.......if you guys from the north have them...... Rather than encourage kids to be in school.....you and elites from the north would rather have them go beg for a mallam, join BH and then hand them PVCs to vote at elections.........And nature sure has her way of punishing you all.....the few of the kids from the homes of the northern elites privileged to stay in school.....cannot graduate with high flying first class grades to make them eligible to be beneficiaries of the PRESSID..... Get us your first class graduates to come compete with their peers.....that is what the PRESSID is all about.....Honoring MERIT..... Under the first phase of the scheme.....there were no beneficiaries from either Bayelsa and Rivers states, respectively, the home states of PGEJ and Wike, the then Minister of Education....... |
Bawss1:Several of the 'fabled' lies told to us by his aides to which he consented by his silence......I very well bought into these lies.....until I stumbled upon an interview he had with the Sun newspapers....where his interviewer extracted the fact of his ownership of houses in the cities of Katsina, Daura, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos and Abuja...........GMB asserted he either acquired or built these houses vide mortgage loans...... |
A cursory look at some of the comments reveal how ignorant majority of Nigerians are.....it thus is not surprising to see why our nation has made not much progress...... For folks to be heard saying diesel Locomotive train engine heads built in the US and used all over the world to ferry both human and freight traffic is preposterous to say the least..... Little wonder....serious minded employers of labour would rather avoid having them in their work places and opt to bring in foreigners far more competent than the crew of self conceited ignorant folks out here..... |
etin06:''America has declared a former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Mr. Godsday Orubebe, Rivers State Governor-elect, Nyesom Wike, former militant commanders, Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) and several other persons who either encouraged violence through inciteful comments or interfered with the electoral process during the last general elections as persona non-grata, meaning that they are barred from entering the United States and subjected to visa sanctions.......Though the US government did not specifically name those it intends to punish for their actions before, during and after the elections, Orubebe, Wike, Tompolo, Asari-Dokubo, First Lady Patience Jonathan, Katsina State Governor, Ibrahim Shema and several other major political actors made national news headlines by their heated comments and actions. We have commenced the journey to loosing it all.......I wonder at the nexus between the Caption...coupled with.....how the names listed in the first paragraph where arrived at when the same is juxtaposed with the nondisclosure of the names/identities of those persons to be hit by the travel ban by the American authorities. Nairaland is gradually struggling to out-pace rumour mongers with stories of this nature at the village square.... |
DGD1:95% of women drivers on our motorways stay fixated for life in their 'learner' driver mode........... So you find them repeating all the mistakes......they did whilst still in the 'learner' grade.....long after the get certified to drive..... |
Nigerians simply do not fail in amazing one with heir naivety.......You have an accident....without waiting for an in depth investigation to be undertaken to determine its causes......Naive and bland comments rend the thread....... It may not be improbable that someone standing on one of the couplings might have inadvertently done something which led to the uncoupling of the coaches....giving the way and manner some folks could be seen strewning themselves all over every available space on the train from the coach head to the various coaches every available space including its rooftops.....whilst throwing their safety and security to the winds..... |
I hope no be ambush dem go lay for the poor woman..... |
Nigerians need to take concerted steps to know how the institutions are modeled and work......Since the introduction of the 1979 Constitution and other constitutions it preceded as well as in compliance with the provisions of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act.....it has become mandatory for all Senior Civil servants in the employment of the Federal, State and Local Governments to declare their assets once every circle of prescribed number of years until they retire from the public service...... Equally, all public officers holders and appointees engaged and employed in the Federal, State and Local Governments are also mandated to declare their assets prior to their assumption of office and upon either conclusion of their tenures or when they are relieved of their appointments...... These declaration of Assets are done in special forms issued to the specified class of officers, obtained from the Code of Conduct Bureau, duly filled, sworn to before a Judge of the High Court and returned back to the custody of the Bureau within a specified time frame.....The law does not permit for a public declaration of ones' asset as was done by late Pres. Yar' Ardua....... This practice of making the declarations in the specified forms have been enforced with Public officers [both career and political officers holders].....The Tribunal set up under the enabling law does try public officers more particularly career civil servants and public office holders for breaches of the Code of Conduct..... The problem we have often faced is the inability of the Bureau occasioned by poor funding and a dearth of capacity in staffing to verify as at when due the several assets declared to the Bureau by the hundreds of both career civil servants and public office holders to ascertain incidents of breaches of the Code of Conduct.... the situation is further made worse by concerted steps taken by the Government made by the political class to rob both the Code of Conduct Bureau and the Tribunal of its board membership and officers to man the Tribunal......During the OBJ led FG, the Code of Conduct Bureau was the worst for it.....it virtually left with its Present Chairman, who was then the Secretary to the Bureau as the OBJ took no steps to replenish its retiring Board members.... It was the PGEJ led FG that took steps to redress these anomalies in the area of constituting the membership of the Board as well as the Judicial officers to man the Tribunal.... Curiously, playing on the naivety of Nigerians, the President elect is playing on popular sentiments by insisting that pre-assumption declarations would be enforced....knowing too well that the issue has never been with the making of the declarations but rather the inability of the Bureau to verify the claims made in the assets declared by career civil servants and public office holders in purported compliance with the Code of Conduct...... |
DuchessLily:The rule of engagement in law enforcement is simple.....apprehend a felon....take him into custody....if he attempts to flee from unlawful...you are permitted to apply lawful force to take him down....that includes firing at him....the fool could be lucky if he is afforded a short by a marksman on the leg as suggested.... |
Spy360:You are always welcome..... Congratulations.....We should be on the look out for each other.....that way.....we become better persons and our nation is the better for it..... Congratulations once again....... |
There is a mumu in this forum. Someone crying louder than the bereaved. He is accusing me of overcharging my friend. I don't know him, he doesn't know me, he doesn't know my friend either. He has absolutely no idea of what transpired between me and my friend, he is just blabbering over what is completely no business of his. Funny enough I did not even charge my friend a single kobo. I promise not to reply him again, because they say 'silence is the best answer for a fool'. Make una help me warn am. Spy360......or whatever you clandestinity identify yourself by.....You are a false young rattle snake.....you probably a descendant of a fool you are......trying to skew facts to suit you whimps and caprices..... It is folks like you that give the Igbo tribe a bad name....you came blabbing about and asking how much Nairalanders should suggest you charge a 'friend' of yours to help him set up his FTA....and in disgust someone here had in angst and utter disbelief suggested #50,000.00...In response to another nairalanders' suggestion that you do it for free since you claimed the recipient of the service was a 'Friend'...you had quibbed whether the recipient was the one who sent you down to Owerri..... I had expressed my disquiet at you gloating at receiving payment for something this innocuous that you will be offering a friend and to consider the bond that binds 'friends' being much more than the few naira notes you will get in exchange in the short run when compared to the reciprocal benefits that you stand to gain in the long term..... And in keeping with the curses that have continued to hold back you and your ilk and make most folks never to want to have any dealings with the few bad eggs like you they have contact with in life....you thereafter proceeded to post insults revealing the huge deficits you lack in the mode and manner in which you've been raised up in your house rather in an apt homestead with the right environment of moral beliefs and value systems to nurture a toddler into a decent adult...... After all the knowledge you deployed in helping out to fix the 'deal' as you boasted were garnered from others such as 'Obiageli(f) which they willingly contributed in this forum without asking for a dime from anybody in return.....One can hardly point to any worth the while contributions you have made to issues thrown up here by other Nairalanders....rather you lecherously pose questions and get answers to them for free and then find it hard to oblige folks you term your 'friends' the same except for a few!......You sure are an ingrate..... Nairaland is about being overridden with oafs like you.... I am indeed not too surprised at your acts of opportunism...you only got here as a registered member only on 25/4/12.....and you need to grab as much as your lecherous pockets can take.......I've since 24/7/07 seen more of your ilk...get exposed and thrown out for failing to stay on the straight path...... As I'd mentioned to you much earlier......as a young Igbo lad.....you have a warped notion of what life and the several friendships we make along in the course of our short stay here has in its secret vaults for us all...... You can and should continue to charge some paltry naira notes from all the folks you lecherously latch on to and tag as your 'friends'.....for every seemingly little favour you may be opportuned in the course of your fleeting acquaintance with them and when you indeed require assistance from them in future be prepared to be made to part with a huge chunk of your earnings, which you ideally ought not to have spent....if only you had been able to conquer and control your quest to be greedy....... These above words of admonition..... as a member of society...... I owe you alongside others and I am convinced that I have discharged same well to the satisfaction of my conscience......... |
EdCure:Comprehension is indeed not a too hard an enterprise as both yourself and the folks who liked your misplaced comments would want other sane and rational Nigerians as well as well-meaning members of human society to believe. These funds were recovered by the EFCC in 2013.....whilst PGEJ still 'cluelessly' ran the affairs of the Nigerian state for the good of all..... This much if you happened to be intelligent is discernible from the story line...... When dumb folks like you, hit the employment market you leave employers with the impression that you are grossly incompetent in appreciating instructions and facts reduced in writing to the chagrin of us all..... It is indeed good to go to school to acquire not only a certificate but also the knowledge taught there |
Spy360:The moment you came around on this forum to gloat over what you did to a friend......your impudent conduct on moral grounds became a matter of concern to not only me but equally other Nairalanders...... Keep thinking and making the mistake your forbears made that has continuously earned them the mistrust of the rest of Nigerians........I am no longer surprised at how you guys worship and denominate everything happening around you in paltry sums of Naira and Kobo......I guess you charged your 'friend' the sum of N50,000.00 as had been suggested by a concerned Forumite to your debased comments........ You can keep your wonder 'deal' as no one would be begrudging you of same.....and the money from the heist you pulled of your 'friend'.....who after awhile should be rational enough to know he is better off your one-sided lecherous relationship with him to do the needful by keeping you at arms length. |
What happened to shooting his leg or anywhere else DAT will make dem catch him injured and not dead
