This is what happens when you know you have a challenge and then pretend to joke with it.....
[7/12, 5:32 PM] Dr Uyi Usoro: *An account of events surrounding final moments of late Sister Eunice Osarugue Egbobawaye*
She was said to have been dancing in the school hall then slumped on a chair. Was presumed to be tired but when she did not respond, Doctors were alerted and checked her. No peripheral pulses were palpated. Mis information about her being an asthmatic made the doctors administer pufffs of salbutamol to her via inhaler. When alerted, (smagoga doctors) we met her lying on the ground outside the hall. We stopped the inhaler, could only palpate the left temporal pulse and continued anti shock management and CPR. Then rushed her to the nearest private medical centre opposite the school but they had no oxygen. Moved her to Central hospital in the hope of getting full complement of resuscitation facilities viz oxygen, defribillator. Upon arrival at central hospital, she was pronounced BID ( brought in dead). No defribillator. We continued administering CPR on the way to UBTH, in expectation of getting a defribillator. Although a team was at reception to receive her, they confirmed no cardiac activity and also confirmed as bid. Her corpse was then transferred to Stella Obasanjo Hospital and Morgue.
*Additional history from relative* She was a known hypertensive, was ill 3months ago, collapsed after an injection administration and was in a coma for one week. Also had severe headaches two weeks ago and lapsed into unconsciousness for 24hours. Her attending Doctor had advised her to do some comprehensive check up and investigations which she postponed. She had severe headache prior to the opening ceremony of the 60th school anniversary.
Diagnosis: *Tentative cause of death is Cardiorespiratory arrest secondary to hemorrhagic stroke/ ruptured aneurysm*. [7/12, 5:33 PM] Dr Uyi Usoro: *Lessons learnt* *Regular medical check ups. *Don't ignore warning signs, subsequent attacks of strokes almost always fatal. *Proper ventilation while decorating the hall. *Ambulance for every AGM ceremony. *CPR training. *Medical outreach should not be combined with other activities. *Also food and drinks should be available to avoid hypoglycemic attacks. |

Politics › Re: Akpabio To Niger Deltans: Don't Vote For Those Planning To Sell NNPC by gogodaye(m): 10:51pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
kahal29: The National Coordinator, Presidential Support Committee, Senator Godswill Akpabio has insisted that considering the achievements of the President Muhammadu Buhari -led administration in office, Nigeria has no other better alternative than to give him another term.
Akpabio, who spoke with Journalists in Abuja, urged the South South people to reconsider their stand in planning to vote for the party that wants to sell the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC), and its other assets.
Atiku Abubakar, the PDP Presidential Candidate, has vowed to sell the NNPC, if voted into power, to break what he called ‘mafia’ in the corporation.
But Senator Akpabio said it will not be in the interest of the Niger Delta people for NNPC to be sold.
“Yes I believe Nigerians can compare the difference between apple and orange. The reality is that this president has done very well considering the fact that he was able to take Nigeria out of recession.
“He met ongoing projects on ground, such as the airports and the railways. He completed and put them to use. Nigerians are clamoring for change, better health care, better educational facilities and all those things cannot happen when you spend almost 80 percent of resources on recurring expenses like pension, salary arrears.
“So we must commend the President and of course, if you take a look at what is happening on the Lagos-Ibadan railway, you will be very impressed. Take a look at the Abuja-Kano railway, some people now travel with rail to the North.
“The power sector has improved from 2,500MW to 7000MW. So many things are visible and the enabling environment is there in terms of law and order. The fight against corruption has really been intensified and the good thing is that it has now become a deterrent to any public official that yes…, if you go out of your way to move your pocket forward instead of your country or state, you will be held accountable.
“We in the Niger Delta are very apprehensive. I don’t think that there is any person in the South South who will go and vote for PDP. Even some of them are trying to purchase votes because when you look at the major policy document of the PDP today, they are talking about selling the NNPC.
“What does the NNPC have? Is it the building? What NNPC controls is the oil of the Niger Delta, oil wells, oil fields and all those things come together with the land. I don’t see anybody from the South South or any Niger Deltan, who will agree that the same way we sold out Nigeria Airways and we became a laughing stock in the comity of states in Africa is the same way NNPC should be sold.
“Look at Kenya Airways, Ethopia Airline, Ghana Airline, South African Airways and Nigeria has no single plane now called its own. We sold out our Aluminium Smelter Company in Ikot Abasi, that provided thousands of jobs and today that place is totally bare with over 690MW of electricity.
“We sold out Oku Iboku Paper Mill in Akwa Ibom and our people are there jobless. That massive structure is a waste.
All those things combined are things that frighten us when somebody talks about the sale of NNPC. The sale of NNPC on its own simply means that the Niger Deltans are going to be divested of not just their properties, not just the water that they fish in, but the fact that they will become tenants in their lands for the next 50 to 100 years. And people will come from outside, maybe friends of the government, and possess their land.
“The election also is between integrity and others. The President has shown that he can give what belongs to Niger Delta to Niger Delta. He is even refunding monies that were used during my tenure to repair Federal roads and what we use to call Paris Club refund.
“We tried everything under the PDP. We never had that money and I was a Governor and the FG was owing my state over 145 Billion on federal roads and the building of prisons and other things I had to intervene. I dualized federal roads, built airport and today, federal government is refunding those monies to the state.
“If you see a government that has shown sincerity, it simply means that we are now talking about a question of integrity and a question of postulation. We are postulating that if you bring in a government that will sell your father’s land, that will sell your oil wells and sell the waters that you use in fishing, then I can conclude that there is no alternative to President Buhari.”

Union Bank Bonny Island, Union Bank Afikpo, all send their balance sheets to the HQ.
If HQ Lagos wants to send 5billion Naira to Bonny it wires to CBN Lagos. CBN Lagos wires to CBN Rivers. CBN rivers deliver 5bn to Union Bank Bonny.

aminulive: @POLITICSNGR
A police officer is facing severe criticisms online for shooting a Bus Passenger on the leg.
PoliticsNGR gathered from an eyewitness, Mike Godwin, the incident occurred on the Popular East-West road around Rumuge area. The police officer stopped the bus and demanded for a tinted permit. The driver unfortunately did not have it on him and the officer halted the vehicle.
The victim decided to talk with the officer and demand an explanation for the stoppage before he was shot on the leg. Godwin wrote;
"This happened on my way for Lagos yesterday on east west road by Rumuge, A police man stopped our bus asking for drivers license from our driver which he gave him after that , he requested for tinted permit then the driver told him that the car is a company car and that the copy of the permit was not with him.
We all came down pleading with him to let us go, but he bluntly refused. On seeing us another of same company bus stoped to ask his colleague what the issue was along side with some passengers the next thing was that the police man opened fire on the leg of this young man who was also presumed to be a force man just because he demanded an explanation on why we were unjustly delayed. Am yet to recover from the shock can't believe that the people that are meant to protect lives and properties, can just open fire and shot at a live that they are to protect. Pls share let those in authority see it."

Agritech: Zainab Duke-Abiola, wife of late Moshood Abiola, says the book written by ex-president Goodluck Jonathan is a “monumental manipulation of historical facts and figures”.
Jonathan on Tuesday launched his book, ‘My Transition Hours’, to mark his 61st birthday.
Ex-presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and John Mahama of Ghana were among those dignitaries who graced the event.
In a statement on Thursday, Duke-Abiola described the book as “a pseudologia fantastica”.
She said the claim by Jonathan that former US President Barack Obama and ex-UK Prime Minister David Cameron interfered with the country’s 2015 is “ludicrous”.
“The book is a monumental manipulation of historical facts and figures,” Duke-Abiola said.
“Though President Jonathan conceded defeat to President Muhammadu Buhari after he lost the elections, he remained fixated on the presidency and did not want to believe that Nigerian voters swept him out of power because of his gross incompetence and ineptitude.
“For the records, Jonathan lost the election because he made himself the sole candidate of the PDP despite his abysmal failure in governance. He directed the party to print only one presidential nomination Form 001, which I paid for, but because of his blind ambition, he confiscated my presidential nomination Form 001 and went into the political battlefield in borrowed robes, thereby meeting his political Waterloo accordingly.”
She said the ex-president plunged the country into an avoidable security and humanitarian crisis.
“I think the only option left for Jonathan is to plead with God and Nigerians for forgiveness and until we forgive him, he should remain in his purgatory of lethargy. No amount of write-up can erase the fact that he took this great nation for granted,” Duke-Abiola said.
“The indeprecabilis question for Jonathan to answer is What did he do with the power Nigerians entrusted him with? Did he ameliorate the sufferings of Nigerians or even the marginalized Niger Deltans? Did he even put drinking water in his own village? Are Jonathan’s village mansions accessible by road? Why does he charter helicopters to travel to his own village?
“Jonathan said corruption is not stealing and thereafter flagged off the looting spree of the treasury, which ultimately plunged Nigeria into recession when he left. Jonathan will go down in history as Nigeria’s worst political mistake."

Naijaalive: https://cdn.punchng.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/11110857/Diezani1.jpg
The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has met with National Crime Agency in the United Kingdom to kick-start the process of extraditing a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
The EFCC said in a statement that Magu met with the UK official on Thursday to also discuss the efforts of the commission in the recovery of all ill-gotten assets domiciled in foreign jurisdiction by Nigeria’s Politically Exposed Persons.
“Outside the recovery of assets, the EFCC boss in the course of the high power meeting with officials of the NCA will also present the commission’s position on ways to fast-track the extradition of all PEPs who have found safe havens in foreign jurisdiction,” the statement read in part.
Magu had explained why the anti-graft agency is bent on extraditing all PEPs.
“For instance, speaking on the former minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Deziani Alison-Madueke, whose process of extradition from the UK has commenced, Magu explained that having waited for three years, the Nigerian government believes that it is time to initiate the extradition process,” the statement added.
The EFCC said apart from Diezani, there were several other politically exposed persons who have fled the country 2015 when the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari came on board in May 2015.
It would be recalled that in 2017, a Federal High Court in Lagos ordered the final forfeiture of N7.6 billion alleged loot recovered by the Commission from the Diezani. The order of final forfeiture to the Federal Government.
