Kudos to Coachee Elyte for his ruggedness and doggedness on the 3 points deduction advocacy. Folks like him are the type we need on the NFF board, and great kudos to that moniker on this thread. I can remember that it was the first to raise the alarm on the issue.

New Home Sec, Mahmood, is expected to unveil some conditions of the proposed ILR policy during her conference speech today.

It appears that they want 10 years to be the baseline, not the cap - those who do not meet the new conditions could take longer than 10 years to achieve ILR, while some might not ever qualify.

Pathetic as they keep mixing up people on refugee status who can apply for ILR after 5 years and those on the skilled worker route. Of course, hardworking immigrants without recourse to public funds will always be the sacrificial lamb.

Lol ...I think to an extent, the digital ID might be a good idea to aggregate the UK identity platforms (passport, eVisa, driver's license, NI, NHS number etc) into one but definitely might not help in stopping illegal immigrants from working illegaly any more than the 'prove your immigration status' sharecode had.

Borrowing from the experience back then in Ghana when every foreigner was required to get the Foreign resident Ghana Card, failure which led to their mobile telephony, mobile money and bank accounts suspended, it did not stop the illegals coming into Ghana but rather made proxy financial transactions more prominent.

Similar might be applicable to foreigners in the UK but not the citizens cheesy Even at that, it would do little to block the illegal immigrants. Not forgetting the legal actions that would be instituted to fight all the human right violations not getting the card would result to.
That's what I think it's all about too, to centralise all forms of IDs, which is why citizens will kick against it too, cos all forms of benefits abuse will also be exposed grin

You see that part in yellow marker? That's the part I've not been able to solve in my head for the past couple years. Maybe I've missed something but I really want to know what goes on in the head of coaching staff during our international outings. I really want to know how difficult it is to play a player according to his strengths and proven track record in a particular position. It's hard sometimes to imagine that we hate ourselves this much to self-sabotage our own efforts with the most insane and ridiculous decisions.
We lack midfielders so Iwobi will continue to play in that position unfortunately for the lad he will continue to bear the burden and cost of our dismal performances!

In addition because we need results badly we don’t have patience for any one else to grow into that play maker role we desire! It will take a brave coach to do something differently

NNPC should sack all those people working in those refineries and pay them off. I always say that civil servants destroyed this country.

How can you have a refinery that's not producing and still pay the workers salaries every month? These people run this country as if they don't care.
The unions are the problem; to them, they must get paid whether they are productive or not. It's also the reason your international airports can't function properly with good customer service and smooth, unhindered ingress and egress. The government has no business running refineries, airports, seaports, and other mega infrastructure if we want optimal productivity. Our emotional sentiments as a people are standing in the way of major national advancements

Whatever the cases are, I feel the NFF sees $100,000 monthly salary to be too big not simply because of Peseiro but because they don't have the money. It's better to agree on what they can afford to pay.
Don't forget this same Peseiro wasn't exceptional, he only got it right at the NC. He was and his team was abysmal prior and after the NC. He left feeling like Pep because he took the SE to the NC final, he went to Zamalek and where is he now? Jobless because he was immediately sacked by Zamelek.
And we too where are we now? No coach will never be exceptional in our eyes, even Chelle sef are we not complaining already?

We are just too predictable as a nation castigating every coach that comes our way, westerhof and bonfere Jo after leaving Nigeria what were their achievements? Does that invalidate their achievements and successes with the Eagles? make una fear God, this arrogance is killing our football and yet we want to succeed

If it’s weekly, and almost 45% is chopped in tax, does that not give a reason to vex?
The remaining change is what I’m expected to use for bills, rent, food, council tax, etc
I understand how you feel, but just take solace in the fact that if you have overpaid tax you will be refunded in the long run or your tax code adjusted asap to even force some refund quickly It’s what I’ve experienced too and so many others here. Just some months ago I got a bonus from my organisation like 2500 for obtaining a certification I was rejoicing until I got the final amount with almost 1000 deducted, like you I was devastated.

I was even expecting some refund at the end of the previous tax year cos I thought I must have overpaid tax as I was also paying some tax for a private medical insurance I felt hmrc must have overdrawn omo to my surprise no shi shi until I used chat gpt to recalculate for me and chat gpt confirmed that I will get nothing as refund after showing me how my tax had truly been deducted. That’s how the system works and in every advanced country. You can try to reduce your tax with private pension savings or if your spouse (if you’re married) is earning lower than 12570 per year I think then you qualify for some tax credits, I never knew this as I thought it was just for citizens alone. Take care and cheers.

Hehe... the citizenship treshold would cause alot of chaos moreso with Britain having roots thatrun wide.

A whisper mind tells me with time, they'd say dual citizens would not be eligible for state pension. That'd be an easier hurdle to navigate than reforming (i.e cutting) the state pension. Eitherway, I'd still continue to make voluntary contributions as a proper citizen looking to help the Treasury grin

Reform forcing Labour into the corner while out of government might be the very thing that'd lead to their demise. Labour would likely exhaust all options before Reform gets in (if they do). By then, all it'd take would be an inevitable cut in benefits or state pension for a good chunk of Farage's support to evaporate.

Ultimately, my British compatriots need to understand that this is not 1860 or the hay days of the empire. Britain is a dying empire and they need to adjust to the fact that things are not as they were in the past. Today, some of those migrants from previously colonised states are collecting rent from Brits in GB
😂 Just kuku say once you’re not white you can’t collect ilr, citizenship, pension or benefits so we know we are back to the days of apartheid! That may sound better instead of going thru the corners

Point of correction. The NFF never chased Pesiero. It was after his team peaked during AFCON that he wanted a better offer. Should Pesiero have continued and not Finidi, we probably might have not found ourselves in this position even though he started with two draws. He found a team or discovered a team with the right tempo to grind out victories. He was also unknown to us when the NFF technical team brought him to us after the reign of Rohr.
Put this same boys under Chelle for two weeks and see if they will not reach another AFCON semifinals in the least sense. There is a dearth of technicality in our local managers. Eguavone in his last stint couldn't get to the semifinals of the AFCON even though his team played good football at the group stage, especially our one nil victory over Egypt who ended up in the finals only to lose to Senegal on penalty.

Let's forget all this stress and tension. Let's look forward to growing with Chelle as AFCON progresses and one thing we can be sure of is that we have a manager who will stay longer than Rohr and is quite younger than Rohr to do exploits with our team. Even when it's time for a new agreement it will not be as difficult as it was to convince Rohr. We the fans have to exercise patience.
We will always come back to conversations like this until we change our behaviour and approach whenever the senior national team does well. It's becoming a trend that when they do well, people start throwing all sorts of tantrums to discredit the coaching crew who sweat it out to grind out results. It took govt backing for Keshi to lead the team to the World Cup despite qualifying and winning the AFCON, as the NFF, journalists, and their fellow saboteurs wanted a foreign coach at all costs.

Today, we are on the verge of not qualifying, and all the gladiators are quiet cos there is no coach to discredit. Just wait for Chelle to do wonders, and you'll see all of them out once more. If Chelle mistakenly qualifies for the World Cup, they will be back to tell us he doesn't have what it takes to do well at the mundial.

It was divided.

Many agreed we didn't play to full strength of the team but we got results and passion on display. Many were satisfied with the approach aspa this is african football. The counter attack style was sweet and goals were distributed. Nobody got more stick from local journalists and nff fanboys than Iwobi, forgetting jpes was the one that gave him such a role. He didn't stay put on it anyway.

The issue is they're the very ones that chased Rohr away and brought Pes asif they dunno his approach before signing him on. Now they chased him away and Finidi, Eguavoen, Chelle.

The NFF has a philosophy understanding problem. I conclude that is why they're going to be in toxic marriage with this 442 when even the country that birthed and used it no longer use it today. Na Nostalgia go kee them. But arrogance too. The icing is their mt Everest arrogance and love for mediocrity.

Hehe... I wouldn't be surprised Starmer's response to this would be to hasten up the 10yr ILR bill. He and Kemi need to understand they wouldn't beat Reform in right wing policies neither would they convince right wing voters to choose for them over Reform.

My main concern with Nigel is that he has shown he can cause havoc out of government by driving policies even for governments that oppose him. If not for the folks that my suffer, I'd really want him to be PM. In a country like the UK with a promptly unforgiving political system (unlike the U.S), it'd be nice to see him run the economy.
Just schoolboy politics, leaving more serious things to focus on the most vulnerable population they can find, easy to suppress.

Maybe by the time they are done with people with ILR or permanent status, the next will be naturalised citizens. Who else will they blame next for their woes? Gradually they are getting there 😂

Students' dependents - cancelled, care workers overseas and dependents - cancelled, skilled workers with less than RFQ 6 - cancelled, medium-skilled workers' dependents - cancelled, ILR - to be cancelled, naturalised citizens - huh

You guys just keep recycling the same talk. The same Pep Guardiola that was supporting authors create books on his system, creating seminars, even went as far as supporting a documentary that gave a deep insight into his system is trying to stay afloat.

The point is simple, we are rebuilding the team. So it will take some time to settle. With just Gvardiol and Khusanov, two fast defenders, we started dominating. Khusanov's injury yesterday took away the gross defensive pace. As soon as we fully fix our rebuild, we will start dominating.

Even though I believe the building is slow because Guardiola might be soon leaving. There is nothing like park well.
before pep's system was football not in existence? so must we die with pep system forever? again park well sir!
