What a time to be a Super Falcons Player.

President Bola Tinubu has announced a cash reward of $100,000 to each Super Falcons player who represented Nigeria at the just concluded 2025 WAFCON tournament in Morocco.

In addition, each player will also get a three-bedroom apartment at the Renewed Hope Housing estate in Abuja, and they will also be conferred with National Awards, receiving an OON (Order of the Officer of the Niger).

These doesn't seem like a wise use of public funds in my opinion, but I'm extremely happy for the girls. I'll just rather we do something that's sustainable in the long term than create a precedence for the purpose of political jamboree that frankly isn't sustainable.
Anything less, folks will still complain. I think in the light of all the struggles our players and athletes go through while sacrificing for the GWG, I think the reward is in order as a huge compensation for all their efforts, especially in times where our athletes are abandoning the GWG and picking up other nationalities to compete for honours.
PoliticsRe: Percentage Of Lagos State Landmass That Formed Former FCT by Goke7: 5:52pm On Jul 28, 2025
There is no need for any long story, the summary is Lagos is no longer FCT and is now being managed by the State and local governments, anyone living in Lagos is no longer subject to the FG but to the state and the LGA where they reside!

The whole debate is because many still see Lagos as the FCT and think the city or state belongs to the FG, whereas that FCT status no longer exists.

Social media is destroying our nation. Most of these issues have always been around but because voicing them out hasn't been easy with traditional media, now social media has made it worse and the political class are also feasting on it. It's just unfortunate, that those who are loudest online don't even have a set of chairs to their names.
If they ban social media now, everyone will start shouting. Honestly, the next wave of communal clashes will be a fallout of social media if we don't take time

It is Obi’s best play to run as a president but he will still fail!

ADC is not giving him the ticket.
He will get more votes under PDP than under Labour.

PDP will use him to resurrect their party. Under PDP, Obi will get more votes than 2023 but PDP governors especially Northern PDP governors who are eyeing presidency in 2031 will work against him.

He will still fail

There is no route to an Obi presidency whether ADC, LP or PDP.
Very true, pdp is just looking for what will resurrect their popularity

Does Obi have a mind of his own?
As a former governor I believe he does have a mind of his own. His problem is that he’s looking for a quick or short route to aso rock which does not exist and that’s what is making him look unstable. He doesn’t want to play the long game but if he’s not careful some people will use him to play their own long game and dump him in the process.

But he got 6 million votes without money or rigging. Your political jagaban with rigging and bribery got only 8 million votes and lost Lagos to the SM people of Peter Obi. We are not concerned about the primaries that are rigged to favor their favorite politicians. Imagine the sham primaries of APC in 2022, if APC had any sense, they would have allowed Prof Yemi to win the primary You won't here about Obi. We were not fully prepared in 2023 and yet we had 6 million votes. Imagine now that we are prepared? Don't worry, let's get to 2027 by God's grace and you will see magic
Primaries are contested for, this idea that someone should be allowed to win primaries is not democratic, we are invariably advocating for dictatorship!

The author of this article is one of those people that continues to motivate the likes of kemi to peddle lies against their nation thinking it will improve the lot of Nigerians or improve its leadership again that’s insanity!

Ask yourself since the coalition, why they have suddenly turned to Obi.

You watched the video right?
When the presenter asked him, that Atiku said he will step down if it is zoned to the South East, what did he respond? He said it should be left to the South to slug it out and you thought Obi will still outwit Wike?

A Professor Gana who negotiated with APC in his home State so that his son will be in the House of Reps?

Peter Obi did not win 2023 election, leave this thing you are saying. He didn't win NE/NW (13 States), he didn't win 5 SW States, he didn't win 3 NC States, so how did he win? Stop now......

If indeed he wants Tinubu out, his best bet is a coalition, that's not even seal-proof, the odds is not even better than 60%, but let's just say it will rattle the incumbent. No singular person without a coalition can defeat a sitting Nigerian President. Prof is a Wike man.
They are all hypocrites the same thing David mark did for his daughter in benue. The parties are just platforms for their interests. I hope Obi doesn’t fall for their tricks again by going to the pdp cos they will mess him up like they have done with ADC.

It’s high time Obi becomes stable and build wherever he is now. The politicians are observing how unstable he is. By tomorrow another political party can say they want him too. Then we will know it’s beginning look like a stand up comedy.

Elders, How did you cope while waiting for your security clearance? I have a conditional offer with the civil service pending the outcome of my SC application. We have declared everything (loans, credit cards, car finance, mortgage, etc.), and we are trusting God for a positive outcome. I am just curious, for elders that went through this process, what was your experience like?
I have a senior colleague who got an offer in February this year, and until May, before the SC was clear and complete. When I did mine like two or three years ago, it took like 6 months, though I have been working for the organisation that did it, so it was not a new job offer thing. Currently, I hear there's a temporary pause on high-level vetting requests like SC because of a system scheduled upgrade, resulting in a shutdown of their operations till mid-August (privileged information), so take a chill and keep praying for a speed-up of your application. Cheers!

That's the country u can go back to even with expired passport lol grin cheesy
Nobody is talking about entitlement here but misinformation. You are the one sounding like someone pained reason you can’t focus on the main context. Naming and shaming doesn’t benefit anybody.

This Nigerian mentality to see others being conquered will only ruin us all and our children in the future. We can do better and should be better. No one wins any trophy seeing others being denied of any privileges reason this thread exist to inform everyone appropriately and to abide by the law wherever we found ourselves.

I don’t even understand how someone will drive without a license and MOT risking not only their lives alone but their immigration status. I saw a visa denial letter months ago posted on a WhatsApp group, even me will deny the visa sef 😂 the number of driving offences, not having MOT, and so on. mhen it was too much! It’s not even with all the anti immigration policies and rhetoric but with many driving offences, invalid MOT and insurance those are things that get all other innocent immigrants in the loop.

All assumptions, that's all. The UK ain't the only country protecting its borders! and no it's not a straightforward process as confirmed by others here!

maybe in your spare time go to reddit and see for yourself what our Nigerian sisters are passing through with respect to this topic

That will be some education for you

I think we have both made our points (which to be honest is just banter with no effect because at d end of the day, Britain will do what Britain will do)

We can give it a rest now cheesy grin

Cheers 🍻
Are people not passing through such challenges regarding British rules, too, and Immigration as well as other countries' rules? Why does it become only a crime when it refers to Nigerian Immigration alone? Don't we read of complaints here on this thread about application processes and denials, too? Guy relax! What Madam Kemi was saying in that video has nothing to do with those sisters of yours who got burnt, even Madam Kemi doesn't give a damn about them too, and did not say whether she applied or not, so rest jor!

there is difference between easy and straightforward

easy = little effort

straightforward = no complications in the process, the path is clear and known to all and sundry

Now the naturalisation process for UK is straightforward, because there is a timeline and a framework

But it MAY not be easy for some because of residency and other requirements...

So yea I have said something
You just didn't catch it
Same with Naija, residency, timeline, and other requirements, no complications, just eligibility as defined by laws. Also known to all and sundry who care to check and not listen to misinformation!

British kpali compared to other countries is very much straightforward

straightforward

5 years vs 15 years
gender neutral vs misogyny

Council of State even have to approve the naturalisation

Anyways, all these ones we are talking here is immaterial
What is FOR SURE is that more draconian rules are coming, and Nigerians SHOULD BRACE for them
