no government can’t halt migration but it can be reduced drastically. Africans should stop believing they have to go abroad to become the best they can ever be in life. What’s stopping us from staying in Africa making it enticing so people can come here and not the other way around. Abi all of Youna don neglect una home ?
Migration is a global thing, in fact Africans are the least in the number game. So we are the even the ones staying back to develop our place.

There’s been systematic brain washing going on in America and it has unfortunately led to this. Right wing propaganda has long arms.

It started with the demonization of college and education. As more and more people opted out of getting education, more people voted for right wing politicians. There’s a direct correlation in that the population that voted for them most were the uneducated ones.

The lack of education makes them unable to follow a premise to its logical conclusion. It’s unfortunate but even online arguments and presentation of facts etc cannot solve it. The problem needs to be solved at the root and that is grassroots deprogramming.

For now we just have to share a country with them and suffer the consequences of their political choices with them.

How else can you be a parent with children and vote for the man who promised to dismantle the department of education?
The public education system in America is really worrying, had a former lecturer now in the US who complained bitterly some months ago I thought she was exaggerating but the elections just gave credence to all what she said in our conversation. Now you have a president who will dismantle everything kpatakpata. Wishing Americans well in the next years, Una do this one.

For me, let us ditch this useless modern football and start with what really works for us and our Nation. Get proper dribblers not passers of ball. Players who will dribble u flat and clear in tight spaces and free up other players. All I see in the super Eagles is all pace and no brains. They also lack resilience and drive. Almost like losing isnt a big deal. I have said it before and I will say it again!!! This started when a certain bow legged white man came into the fray. Yall know who am talking about. Lets not forget that its still the same set of players from 2015 save a few names.

The team lacks hunger and passion as well as focus. Its time to bring stiff competition into the team as against guaranteeing starts for certain players. We need players who wwill do anything possible to get better than Osimhen in front. Better players than Iwobi. Better wingers than Moses Simon. Players that understand the place of teamwork rather than Self glory hunting.

These things have their peaks and troughs and as I said a while back, the next 2 decades should be interesting as most big economies adress their changing demography.

Good read about Germany. They accepted over a million syrians in 2015 (under assylum but also with the aim of boosting the labour market) and recently, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians. Now, they have copied the Canadian points based style and looking to fastrack it. The interesting thing is their economy has struggled over the last few years after the Russian invasion- some would have thought this would have been the time to run far away from migrants.

But wait o... are they really looking to issue 200k work visas in 6 weeks?
They have made reforms to shorten the visa process for in demand workers in just few months so all those 9 months of visa processing is not going to make them achieve the number of workers they need urgently.

The funny thing as these nations keep talking about reducing net migration, they leave a door open for many to come in. Watch the uk as health care visas has reduced this year, the regular skilled workers visas has increased from the last stats I saw. Even Canada with all the noise has been doing the Lord’s work this week alone they have invited over a thousand already. Make you wonder what’s all the fuss about sef

Exactly sir. Going down is wayyyy easier than going up. It took us a draw and loss to drop from 36th to 46th, but even if we win all matches straight against people like Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Lesotho and Benin, we will still not get back to 36th 😂😂
Out post tournament management has always been an issue since the nineties. If you tell anyone that Nigeria was once ranked 5th it looks too good to be true. That's our true life story

Alberta na oil wealth. But truthfully, it's not just the salaries. Though becoming less likely, some might match same in the UK. Its the whole package including agency over ones work, appreciation of obes work, access to capital, general economic growth, flexibility, more capitalist society. You largely decide how you work and your pts decide if they want you to be their physician or not. No struggle.
Part of my enquiries have involved colleagues there who left in the 'good old days'. The overriding theme is still same. Conversely, some people also go and return for different reasons. This life na jeje.

I wouldn't agree with the second, many medics who migrate to the UK would ultimately stay and lead good lives. It's just that when an oyibo japa's- everybody sees it as normal thing - the world is their oyster afterall but if na Asian or 9ja- e go be like say u dey cheat on your spouse. Also, of late, the factors pushing folks out from here is now rivalling those pulling them into there.

Overall, it seems the migration into certain nations have general thenes.
UK- still never gree say dem need immigrants despite the govt bringing in hundreds of thousands for over 2 decades. However, each one coming on a visa is milked maximally.
Canada- Appears there is a general understanding by major parties that they need more people- question is how much. Even the recent reduction of allowing ~1% of their population in as permanent residents for the next 3yrs has been called a 'pause'
U.S. - wild wild west
Aus- not enough knowledge to comment but they reason like the UK.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOB7-dbYuCc
Canada can only pause on federal level, don’t mind them o, you see those provinces na dem be the koko, including villages and towns running all sorts of immigration streams. Imagine the devolved nations in the uk running their own immigration streams you think they will wait for any Home Secretary? Same thing with the Aussies, the provinces there run their show and the federal can never deny them their needs of immigrants. The Canada PM is just talking politics same way Brexit was used here and at the end they opened the back gate. Even the uk pm is still warming up ( watch out) Germany with all their mouth is looking for 400,000 workers. That bbc article you posted a day or two ago says it all. No govt can reduce net migration including Trump, they will huff and puff but at the end you will realise so much has been let in.

Yes, no be rankings dey play ball, but rankings are important and either gives your team respect or see finish - your ranking alone fit scare opponents before them enter pitch with you seff. Maybe when we drop enter 50th, you go understand how important rankings dey.
😂 the painful thing is that if you continue to drop in the rankings the more difficult to get back up except you win a major tournament like Afcon or a good World Cup performance like getting to the quarter finals which is never easy omo you go wallow down that ranking for donkey years. I can’t even remember when last we were even in top 20 or 15.

International students increasingly don't have a great deal of choice - in the West at least. Canada and Australia are tightening their policies, Germany takes 2 years plus to even issue an interview date for certain countries, America....well that goes without saying, especially with Trump 2.0.

UK's student visa process is still one of the fastest, cheapest and easiest among Western countries.
And that’s why the global economy will still struggle for the next few years, there is no free money anywhere, it’s okay to regulate but balance and common sense is the key. With the growing numbers of job losses, something has to give in place of unnecessary hardline measures. All these nations benefit hugely from international students across several value chain and sectors especially for small businesses.

The govt decided that they have no plans to reconsider. They cited several reasons including that the UK offer is very strong and the UK remains a destination of choice among English and non English speaking countries. Labour agreed that, with few exceptions, the mandated time to ILR should remain 5 years as this time is necessary to build integration and demonstrate commitment to the UK.
It’s the same line they quoted for international students too now we know where we are

Would have liked her to answer mk she explain wetin she mean

Generally, its a revolving door. It might even boomerang
If people are invariably going to stay longterm in the society, it's important to equip them with tools and remove restrictions so they could build ties and wealth. That way, they're less likely to jaa and they also contribute more as they earn more. Even if some switch sectors, it's still a net-benefit and those who'd remain would do so and be empowered to earn more.

Take the student rules which would increasingly bring more single young folks in (as no dependents). Majority of which may be unable to get jobs above the treshold and would then default to Care. Do it for a year and get enough points to apply as a support staff under the Canadian healthcare draw. Although this might change, it may surprise you to know that that ex-sudent all things bring equal would have sane baseline score as most doctors because they have a masters degree and they may even score more as docs with postgraduate training are usually above 30 (when some points start being deducted for age).

Invariably, these folks would move on (many are already doing that), propsper and you'd then hear local Brits moan about how other nations get all the 'good' migrants. The point is many decisions can have long unforseen outcomes.
😂 the same good migrants that passed through the Uk? make dem go siddon jor. I visited Canada over the summer Alberta to be precise and was shocked to see and learn about the number of doctors who migrated there from the Uk. This has been going on for over a decade. The mega salaries those folks even earn over there will continue to be a pull factor.

Fine you have placed restrictions and reduce the amount of those coming in, but a situation where those coming in are reducing and those inside are also reducing where is that leading to? Even most doctors or other professionals coming in are just using the uk as a transit route and am not sure how this will improve the nhs in the long run. It needs an urgent fix.

The cost of ilr is another issue, a situation where each family member will almost pay 3k after 5 years stay is becoming something many folks are thinking about when they make their calculations and discover they may spend far less if they get permanent residency elsewhere.

Normally we can't, but if we put on our A game like we did at Afcon, nobody in that group can stop us from winning all 6. It's just the fact. So we currently have a discipline and attitude problem on the pitch and off the pitch. If all that is fixed, we'll fly like how Morocco were during this qualifiers.
The Afcon spirit is gone. Only VO and Ekong has that winning mentality and maybe Aina, others are just there off and on depending on what the other three are doing on the day. That can’t give us much going into those games. That’s why those three have been the most hit by injuries since Afcon. Others can’t take the risk

The point is simple. We had the capability of given them more logistics support to convey them to Uyo but we didn't. We can improve on this. Anything outside this is just excuses.
😂 e no go better for that logistics support cos if not that we got our players out on time the beating Eguavoen would have gotten will be child’s play to what rohr got. The only thing am begging CAF is to ensure only human beings get to play the game in Africa. Perhaps tests should be done to separate humans from beasts as a prerequisite for entry into competitions in the continent.

Cos with this table like this, we need to win ALL 6 games left. That is the big business ahead of this team. The terror of missing consecutive World Cups should be the starter motivation to go alllllll the way. Anybody that is showing any rubbish attitude, no matter how talented, should getat. NFf should do their part and stop the mental gymnastics and get the manager that can take this team to the world cup now.

We don't want a nobody handling the WCQ because they plan to get a foreign manager after the December AFCON. That would never work.

6Wins
No loss
And a compact defense
No excuses for mediocrity. Bring on the A-game and dust away that 'no minnows' excuse. Our mediocrity birthed that crappy punchline excuse.

Once again, the two managers that contributed to this debacle.. i no wan swear for them.

All these testing testing with Tanimu and Osho, Sadiq should be thrown out the window.

This is possible if we take on a superiority and classy mental approach like we did at the last AFCON, but even more clinical on both ends.

Yeah, i should lower expectations. But i will after the 7th game of the WCQ. Till then.
Don’t stress yourself we can’t beat Benin, South Africa and Rwanda away. The best performance we can get with this current team away is a draw. It’s takes deep hunger to win away in Africa and this team don’t have that level of hunger. Once they remember their club commitments like someone said they will start counting their legs 😜

They condemned Rohr for losing to C.A.R but expect us to clap for Eguavoen for losing at home to a team ranked 126th in the world. That's the double standard bordering on covert racism that I'm talking about. It's tiring, honestly. 😴
It’s really surprising cos it’s the same way they wanted us to clap for Finidi after shambolic performances. Eguavoen has just made life more difficult for himself cos even if he qualifies now for even the wcq he won’t be the one to lead the team to both wc and afcon. Again for those who say they are dead rubber games, agreed let’s say they were friendly games is that the kind of performance a big football nation like Nigeria should put out there?

In summary those games are not really dead rubber games they were actually competitive games as it impacted the other teams in our group in their quest to qualify for afcon. The nff, the players and coaches irrespective of whether they were owed bonuses were not serious. Anyone who feels he can’t be motivated without a bonus should leave the team cos even when bonuses have not been owed we have seen shambolic performances too.

For those who think people are over reacting, just think about yourself sitting in that uyo stadium and watching what the eagles played yesterday. Is that acceptable by any standards?

We are destroying the national team if we continue to make excuses for the rubbish we saw yesterday. The signs were even there in the previous game, we thought it was a one off until yesterday.

The Eagles are gradually losing that fear factor within Africa if they can’t be consistent enough. That’s why we are always stunned when these smaller countries come hard on our players when we play them. Any country facing Morocco today know what they are up against when they meet them and that alone gives the Moroccans the edge when they play. It’s called consistency yes someone will say Morocco performance was woeful in Afcon but have they been woeful since after Afcon? How do you hope to qualify for wcq with this kind of inconsistency, it’s not rocket science na, even Comoros won’t lose sleep about the eagles and that’s not good for our football. Soft power is necessary for dominance in any profession or sector.
