Mujtahida: What Onuachu does dey make shame catch me. As in your whole function as an attacker is to go and waste time. No single effort to try and score a goal. he should disobey the coach? by the time he's trying to score and he loses the ball and there is a counter from the opposition that leads to a goal, na we go still abuse both the player and the coach. Let's not make fun of a tactic that can earn the team victory which is the most crucial thing after all. |

May the eagles soar! it's a quarter-final so we may expect some fireworks but like someone has said earlier, it may turn out to be an easy game for the Eagles |

Nomyth: Samuel Eto'o : " I am still in Cote D'Ivoire learning about the next steps we need to take for us to be patriotic again.
There is something about South Africa and Angola. They play with a great deal of African based Players.
The hunger is unbelievable. They are representing Africa because they mostly play here not abroad. We will start mixing players who plays in Africa and abroad.
The level is close . Sad currently we have few who plays in south Africa, Tunisia, Morocco or Egypt.
These are good African leagues with productive development. We are now open to give Call ups to any Cameroonian who is good at his Job despite where he plays his football.
Our attention with my staff Will be to spread the net all over Africa giving a chance to every player who deserves to play for the indomitable lions. " Samule eto needs to be more realistic, another trend in this afcon is the rise of European-born players of African origin who are now giving their all for their countries of origin, I have seen this in teams from cape verde, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania, Guinea, and established big soccer nations like Senegal, CIV, and even Nigeria with the likes of Calvin Baseey and Aina. Eto needs to be more open-minded in this perspective of the African game if not he will just continue to be a failed FA chairman and raise questions of ex-players becoming sports adminsitrators |

Daninya33: One of Angolan star player,Ben Mukendi has left the team camp and has returned to his club side in Portugal. He was complaining of not getting enough game time in the tournament. That's indiscipline, on a lighter note he may feel the team can't progress anymore but what is bad is bad. African players shouldn't be heard doing this. |

charlesemeka85: Why no one in this forum dey talk about the mali team in this afcon
Those guys sabi ball ooooo I expect them to beat CIV, if not CIV may need to break bones to beat that team. They also look like a team well motivated as I saw some of their legends in the VIP box. But if they come against another strong and physical team like DRC hmmm, but seeing them in the final they will be a hard nut to crack o. |

daveP: All facts. The fact the namibians could not capitalize on that red card is enough to understand that game. Then it became 10v10. The fear of Osimhen should be their major concern. Especially with how we go long. That’s why I laugh when someone here say we have not played stronger opponents, we all thought Equitorial Guinea was soft until they walloped both Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau. It has taken Guinea a team who beat us just before Afcon to send a stubborn Equitorial Guinea out. |

Nomyth: Camerounians are saying on social media that the times we've beaten them in AFCON we have failed to make it to the finals. Who ask them? Make dem keep quiet jare Imagine their coach also saying he’s not convinced Nigeria is good enough to win afcon, they are all indirectly mocking their team but they don’t know, dem no get sense at all |

COOL10: True.
Some of them are already envisioning a final against Nigeria.
It's my prayer that they continue to underate Cape Verde, so that on that day, they'll find themselves conceding long range shots from BEBE and his counterparts. that's the problem with South Africa, one win they will just assume they can beat everybody, even we no dey too make noise like that. When they lose you now see them venting anger against the entire continent. Funny people |

daveP: The question naysayers should ask is
Is the Angolan backline solid enough?
The way some of you dey fear them is exact the way dem dey fear Osimhen and Lookman upfront. Not to talk of Aina. Our most obvious weaklink is nobody but Zaidu. If they focus on his wing and put up bodies there, it will still be to their detriment. The spaces Mabu and Gelson have seen so far, i doubt the Eagles defense will allow them see it. Not even on counter against us. We just need to be clinical. That's all. In addition, we've played stronger oppositions than the Angolans in this tournament, and you're right their defence is suspect, if the Namibians were a bit clinical they would have conceded two goals against them, I watched that game. |
