RadicallyBlunt:This kind of argument is the type I don't like. If you must pay tithe, the bible is explicit on how it should be paid. Overall, I'm quite impressed with the kind of comments here so far. Means a lot more people are getting to read the bible themselves. |
You see all these people? Na these pictures of opulence from the first family go cause mass revolt one day. That's how the French Revolution started. |
I guess these are pictures from a Nollywood movie abi. What's the title? |
hilarious ![]() |
darocha1:My thoughts exactly! it such a shame. The warning should be the other way round. |
90% of those that open this thread will not finish reading it. Part of the problem the old man is highlighting here. |
Nigerian Pastors and opulence. My people 'emancipate yourselves from mental and religious slavery'. |
XYZeee:Abeg go siddon for sand jare! Na you get sense pass everybody wey dey gbadun the song worldwide? Besides, no be every track dey make sense? If I lie ask Sisqo! |
Thanks op! You did a pretty good job explaining the situation. At least many who live there or have folks there have corroborated your story. You will live long and history will be kind to you. Btw, will the government (both at federal and state levels) claim ignorance of these happenings? It's such a shame that this is happening to people who have struggled to build their houses without any form of government support. Having to flee their houses and means of livelihood because of lawlessness.the chief security officers of the state and the nation collect security votes. For what exactly?! There's nothing worse than living in perpetual fear. |
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said plans have been concluded to hold a summit on national rebirth, values and ethics alongside a national reorientation campaign. Mohammed, who made this known in Abuja when he welcomed the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, led by its Chairman, Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, on a courtesy visit to his office, also said that contrary to the impression in many quarters, the executive and legislative arms of government were working together to improve the socio-economic welfare of Nigerians. He said the obligation of the current administration was to ensure good governance, provide adequate security and restore the depreciating economy to deliver the change Nigerians yearn for. He said: “If the spokesman of the Senate wants to meet the spokesman of government, it says a lot about the trust, understanding and also the confidence between the two arms of government.” Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/06/national-summit-holds-soon-lai-mohammed/ Dear Readers, with the recent happenings between these two arms of Government, you be the judge. |
We are not fighting against flesh 7 blood, but against "spiritual wickedness in high and low places". ..in the voice of Majek Fashek, 'prepare your mind, your reward shall be on that day". |
but really if you were a parent and had your ward schooling abroad, what would you do in this instance? your income hasn't increased and the price of dollar keeps sky rocketing. An Edo adage says 'dem no dey use shame chop poison'. if you have assets, strip them and use the funds to pay school fees. if not, swallow your pride and cut your coat according to your material. |
Seriously, was it at any time during the electioneering campaign mentioned that states would have a role in this program? If not, my advice is for the APC government at the center to paddle their own canoe. Nigerians are eagerly awaiting this school feeding program as well as the N5,000 cash transfer to the vulnerable few. |
@op, Time to take your pills and go to bed. You've done enough for one day. |
Take your chances my broda. You will survive. you may 'technically' have to hustle your way through till things level, Grab your chance. You are a survivor! |
This the end product of Gerontocracy. - Government by the Aged. I pray none dies in office. |
modestofynest:So what's your point exactly?! She should have consented and moved on with life? With a mindset like this, I wonder how you would advice your own daughter if she found herself in this same position... |
Lesson to our young girls: stick with that campus boyfriend of yours. He's your surest bet. Stop looking for readymade with Daewoo Racer and flat in Ikoyi. Wait for your time. Life na turn by turn. TBT |
they should 'steal' enoguh to last them even in retirement like the ex-govs are doing. After all, a huge stack of money was stolen from the personal house of your senate president. Other senators should toe his line.. |

This is short of calling the president a chicken. But why would Buhari, a retired military general abruptly call of his planned trip to this very important ground breaking ceremony without good reason?! It's indeed very shameful to say the least. This Fayose has exploited to impact maximum damage on his person and integrity. Even his most vocal supporters will find it difficult to defend. |
So what does Punch want us to do about this? Is this the kind of investigative journalism that will take us to the next level? Sitting down in their office to churn out figures and telling us "investigations by our reporter"! Rubbish! |
Are there genuine efforts by Government to put these guys in Check or is Government paying lip service to their threats? Whether by placating them or otherwise, this has got to stop. The government looks helpless! |
I understand he's going to appeal this decision. I kinda feel really sorry for him though. Don't have the facts though, but I think the decision is harsh. By the time he come out, he'll look as old as Buhari. Hope others will learn. |
excellencyabia1:your post no make sense I swear! So anyone with a child/ward studying abroad is also responsible for destroying Nigeria. Or maybe I don't just get you. |
Walahi this Fayose is a mad guy. They invite you to an economic summit in Abuja as a serving governor and you see it as an avenue to impact maximum damage. I couldn't help laughing at this part though. "Again with all due respect, people won’t like the way I am saying it right now but they have to come to terms with reality; you can’t grow more than your pastor. You can’t grow more than your MD under the same roof. The president himself has very little capacity. He is limited by age. “He is limited by academic competence and he is limited by exposure. If you can’t grow more than your pastor what will you offer and everybody has to look up to the president. So with his family of APC, they ought to have had an economic team, economic master plan for Nigeria." |
You see policy somersaults everywhere. This is even more than somersault. It's a policy yoyo! |
seunwen2:you are sick. Go to the nearest pharmacy for the pharmacist on duty to link you up with a drug. |
anonimi:You are not well walahi! Hahaha *lmfao* |
Everyone and Everything appears inconclusive these days. Even my bank alerts are inconclusive. Please help me conclude the rest if you can: Fuel .... Inconclusive Anti- corruption....inconclusive PHCN..... Budget 2016...... Foreign trips....... |
I weep for Nigeria. Sometimes I think democracy isn't suited for us as a people. We are still on long thing! |
We need more noble men to speak up walahi! The country is drifting fa! |

. please can anyone truly tell me why i should care listening to such a track again. makes you wonder what some folks now refer to as a quality song
