HumbledbYGrace: Excuse you9,000,000,000likes #Twale |
MonsieurCoder: I understand what he typed, he is asking a simple questionPls paraphrase for me. Thanks |
ajayikayod: Agreed, we chose to abstain from all ds not becos they ar sins but so as to gain many. But ds view is absolutely diff from d Op view who claimed (biblically) curses on every polygamous family. He should be corrected not supported. Ds type of message causes problems in ppl's homes.I never said I supported the OP's claim in the above bold, its like saying the child of an unmarried couple is cursed cos he/she was born outta fornication. ![]() |
So where and how is smoking a sin before God? What are you saying sef? It is if you take the smoking above God that it becomes sin. And while we are on it, go look up the new Testament's definition of sin. Read your darned Bible na
Hey Nlders, Did the above make sense to you? Could y'all understand what he typed? |
Answer the question abeg. Where in the bible was it stated that it is a sin to have more than one wife apart for priests and elders?
Where in the bible was it stated that smoking is a sin? Certainly nowhere, but because the society we find ourselves (natural thinking of man) frowns at it, the church frowns at it too( not that a smoker commits a sin, some catholic priests smoke and some pastors too), and so, because we are taking Christ to the world/society, we abhor it too that we may win many to christ So applies to polygamy, |
I said 'most' sir, not all. You will agree with me a lot of our Revered Fathers especially the modern ones became priest mostly due to poverty in their families and lack of opportunities in Nigeria. They went in as the sacrificial lamb that will liberate their families from financial bondage, hence they device all sorts of means to make money from their parishes to achieve this aim. It used to be a case that a revered father do not own a house of his own and are buried in the parish when they die. Not anymore, this days they compete with politicians on the types of estate they build and the types of SUVs they drive.
How dare u!? Don't you fear the wrath of God? |
chukwudi44: Bros not every igbo parishes do this and I can confidently tell you that more than 99.9% of the parishes do not do this.I attended churches in the east for years and not for once did I hear anybody mention tithes let alone tithe cards.Yes your holiness, That's because "That Practice is not in consonance with the teaching of the church and not contained in the Cathchism of the Catholic Church" The Pope must do something about this. Let me contact His Holiness, John Olorunfemi Cardinal Onaiyekan,he is Archbishop of Abuja, the Cardinal-Priest of San Saturnino and Apostolic Administrator of Ahiara Let me make a formal reporting or wait a while longer? |
Speak The Wisdom Of God · Monday, November 11th · Pastor Chris But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory (1 Corinthians 2:7). Notice that our opening verse doesn’t say, "we talk about the wisdom of God," but that "…we speak the wisdom of God...." Have you ever spoken wisdom? Do you know what it is to speak wisdom? The wisdom of God is creative wisdom; that’s the wisdom that made this world: "He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion," (Jeremiah 10:12). Just like Him, we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory. The wisdom of God is spoken in esoteric language; it’s not a language for everybody! It’s a closed communication, revealed only to the "initiated." Only those who’re spiritually mature understand when we speak the wisdom of God: "Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought" (1 Corinthians 2:6). For instance, when you say, "I have the life of God in me"; you’re speaking the wisdom of God. When you say, "I’m full of wisdom, glory and strength; I’m walking in victory, righteousness and grace"; that’s speaking the wisdom of God. Someone might say to you, "How dare you speak so highly of yourself; aren’t you being boastful?" No, you’re not! You’re speaking the wisdom of God. The Word of God is the wisdom of God. Those who think we’re braggadocios when we speak the Word, and boldly declare who we are in Christ—our rights, privileges, inheritance, and abilities in Him—don’t understand the esoteric nature of our communication. 1 Corinthians 2:14 says, "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." Confession I walk in the light, as He is in the light. I walk in glory, strength, victory, and righteousness today. My life is the manifestation of the wisdom and grace of God! I’m what God says I am. f u r t h e r s t u d y: 1 Corinthians 2:6-8; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13 1 Corinthians 2:6-8 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 1 Corinthians 2:12-13 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. chukwudi44: For the clown who wants to go to igbo villages to confirm the official church doctrines. This is straight from the vatican's official website the cathechism of the catholic church section 2043 which deals with members support to the churchI'm with you on this my Cardinal, I suggest we report to the Pope...those priests including the bishop must be sanctioned because "That Practice is not in consonance with the teaching of the church and not contained in the Cathchism of the Catholic Church" |
We all know that most Igbo Rev. Fathers are thieves, even worst than the Pentecostal pastors. Those Eastern Rev Fathers are only after their stomach and that of their immediate families. Thieves I call them!!. They will go to a community and suck the people dry in the name of doing one church project or the other. You need to see my village church which one of them has been building for over 10 years now with completion not anywhere in sight after spending millions and millions. Every year it is one fund raising or the other. I am sure the guy would have built several housing estates from the money he has been siphoning from the foolish villagers who think that worshiping Revered Father will bring them salvation. The most annoying thing is the fact that our village school has been in the same state of decay like forever. Nobody is thinking of rebuilding the school where the leaders of tomorrow are taught yet they waste tens of millions building the new church while most the parishioners live in abject poverty. Igbo Revered Fathers, repent or you will all burn in hell due to your love of money.
![]() |
Bidam: Lol..seriously may be the guy needs the 1k. Can we be merciful and extend the period of grace till tommorrow evening?Nice idea bro Oya Emmanuel Bassey PM your account number before 6pm tomorow evening. I wanna freely and willingly give to the cause...I'm a cheerful giver. ![]() But I serious sha o |
ukotmi: GOMBs, Bidam, some of us were serious catholics well schooled in the doctrines of the church before seeing the light. Some catholics are only catholic in name and don't know the doctrines. Some are not serious participants in activities at their home (home town) parishes. They stay in Lagos and Abuja etc and claim catholics.8000000000zillion likes I'm sure I can teach a lot of NLder catholics a lot about Catholicism |
Kenny4lyfe: What do you make of the three scenarios I highlighted above?Don't knw whr they got that kinda prayers from o |
italo: I dont remember discussing tithe with you.Ok let's wait till YOU confirm it |
italo: Although the Church teaches that offering some form of material support to the Church is obligatory for all Catholic adults who are able to do so, it doesn't specify what percent of one's income should be given. Remember, tithing was an Old Testament obligation that was incumbent on the Jews under the Law of Moses. Christians are dispensed from the obligation of tithing ten percent of their incomes, but not from the obligation to help the Church. Here we go again ![]() |
This one that NL catholics don't know about catholic church tithes, its either dey just stop by the church every sunday 6am mass and that's it or that their own church is different from other catholic churches. Me thinks His Holiness Cardinal Chukwudi should defrock all those priests receiving and preaching tithing... Your Holiness sir, I think the pope should hear this. They should be sanctioned because "That Practice is not in consonance with the teaching of the church and not contained in the Cathchism of the Catholic Church" ![]() |
chukwudi44: That parish priest should be sanctioned!! He is a very big disgrace to the Catholic church. That Practice is not in consonance with the teaching of the church and not contained in the Cathchism of the Catholic Church ![]() Cardinal Chukwudi oya go sanction him...you go soon tell me whether diocese of Imo no know the activities of their priest? Or would you call that priest or the Bishop of Imo state a thief? ![]() |
italo: If your account is accurate, this is new and distasteful to my ears.So you tot we were making everything up? ![]() Oya now that you know Catholics do...go and start paying your tithes, be a good flock or port from the roman catholic church. preach to chukwudi44 too. Or would you call the priests there thieves, scammers, fraudsters, crooks etc as anti tithers do?Chukwudi44 should remember I told him st Murumba church pay and teach tithing, he said that catholic churches don preach tithing If he deny he said that, I'd pull the thread out. |
texazzpete: So we can chalk it up to extreme wickedness on your part that there are still thousands of sickened, diseased people suffering in lagos when you're around? What abt you? |
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for this meal, bless and sanctify it, provide for those who have not. Amen Simple I den devour d meal ![]() |
Kenny4lyfe: I dey O!No mind them....making a big deal outta a hug....ok, it's a big deal because it's papal hug! Later they say we worship pastors ![]() |
Kenny4lyfe: ^^^My man Aw far na. These folks coming after the thread is murdered by afam and chukwudi44 ![]() I read their posts and continue to laugh. They say the pope has humility and all..yet they spew insults with reckless abandon.. ![]() And they don't know I know catholism more than most (if not all) of them do. |
nwadaigbo: that guy is just ignorant. Christ himself was even crucified bc of works of charity and miracles that offended the jewish custom. You are going far by talking about d apostles. Usee christ himself whom all of us profess to give him example.he is God, yet mere mortals killed him.not to talk about his followers. Leave all these pentecostal brainwashed fish brains alone. They hav all alllowed their fellow humans to think and reason for them and theirs is just yo sit and be manipulated. Pathetic. Muslims understand christ better than most of all theses pentecostals. My Jesus was crucified as a sacrifice from God, Jesus chose to die, for it was the will of the father...Jesus is NOT a matyr...he did not die because of charity and miracles....a matyr dies for wat he believes in. Jesus was the lamb sent to die for the sins of us all...not dying because of the miracles he did or charity. You are the third catholic that said totally wrong things the bible didn't record...why is the trend dis shocking? |
nwadaigbo: your type is the reason why non believers will neva be converted or won for christ. Your type is the reason why non believers mock christianity. Your insanity knows no bound. You are indeed a shallow brain and brainwashed dullard ![]() |
There's are many disfigured people around us.Jealous? Of the pope huggin a man with an ailment? Oh! Dear lord Jesus ![]() Oprah and Jennifer lopez and Angelina Jolie etc etc have pictures where they hugged sick, dying and hungry folks in africa....should I be jealous too? |
bebe2: Those pics brought tears to my eyesOh! Really? ![]() |
eddiebruk: Healing someone out of pity to me cannot be considered a miracle, all those that were healed in the bible showed some strength of faith, so we're did the pity come from....?Jesus had an encounter with 10lepers...luke 17 from 13 said...the shouted and said have pity and mercy on us...go study whether Jesus tendered them or healed them. The guy by the pool was complaining when Jesus asked whether he wanted to be healed....remember, Jesus had pity on him and asked him that. The man had doubts, he didn't say YES, he complained....does complaining show faith? He got healed out of the pity Jesus had for him, because of how long he's been there...the man received the miracle because he believed later on....go and study U and chukwudi should not be conclusive on stuffz u r not sure of |

free2ryhme: FoR once I hailed the Pope on this one. No Nigerian pastoR Reverend will ever try dis. I stand to be coRRected.U are herewith corrected |
italo: Thank you. Evening mass will be fine, God willing.Amen to the departed |
AMP:Obey your spiritual leaders and submit to them [continually recognizing their authority over you], for they are constantly keeping watch over your souls and guarding your spiritual welfare, as men who will have to render an account [of their trust]. [Do your part to] let them do this with gladness and not with sighing and groaning, for that would not be profitable to you [either ] Hebrews 13v 17 Mellin: catholics have priest ..Anglican have priest too...Nice decision...if u mention church name, imagine the bashing the church would have....imagine the insult the priest would get....fraudster, scammer, thief, etc Let's just leave it as a tithe paying/ teaching Church...but Op, here is not the right place to discuss this, u said u have been there all ur life, from ur childhood...u could have met other priests, or deacon or something, if u are not convinced wifh what they tell u, u can then quietly leave the church without stiring strife or recourse. But my advice is...submit to those who have authorithy over you in the spirit....as the author of Hebrews said above...if they are wrong, that verse said they will give account...just pay yhe said amount and move on...if u can pay the money which am sure u can, why the publicity then? The author above said, it will not profit u |
italo: Of course I know. ![]() |
