Savant:Weldone sir... thank you. Alot folks never knew she was a member of Rev. Tom's church... They think she started with him since before the inception of Christ Embassy, other's think she is the assistant pastor by virtue of marriage..etc wait o, they will call you my second moniker... Wait for it ![]() |
vooks:bible said Jethro was a Midian, Zipporah obviously is... then comes wiseman vooks yelling "Hey, Jethro, you're both a Cushite and a Midianite, go study about migrants and migration patterns!"... then somewhere around Numbers 12, Moses' sibling are now mad at him for marrying Zipporah, who suddenly is a Cushite. This is some interesting story. ![]() lol...when i read the above, my face was blank, hopefully to see some sense around...then i saw the below Is this the latest straw you are clinging to hoping Oyaks will remarry Anita?I was like https://www.reactiongifs.com/r/wfi.gif |
vooks:Meaning she was both from the loins of Cush and Midian?... ![]() |
if Zipporah was a Cushite Midianican, why did Moses marry his wife again according to Num 12? was there a divorce?why was Miriam and Aaron angry that their brother married his ex wife again? (Assuming you want to claim they had a divorce) |
vooks:https://www.reactiongifs.com/r/scbu.gif so, Zipporah was a Cushite Medianican? ![]() errr, what region is cush in the present day map? Midian nko? |
vooks:You really should leave bible interpretation to the edified ones. Let me help you sir.. Numbers 12:12 Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses regarding the Cushite woman he had married, for he had married a Cushite woman. The word "Ethiopian" is the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew word "Cush" who in Genesis 10.8 is recorded as one of the sons of Ham. Question? 1. Who is the woman that is described here as “the Cushite woman he had married”? but in Exodus chapter 2, the bible says ... 15 Pharaoh heard of this incident, and he sought to slay Moses; so Moses fled from before Pharaoh. He stayed in the land of Midian, and he sat down by a well. 16 Now the chief of Midian had seven daughters… 21 Moses consented to stay with the man, and he gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses. these verses make clear, Moses married Zipporah who is from Midian. it is very clear that Cush and Midian are very different places/people. Cush is in Africa, in the area of present day Sudan and Ethiopia, while Midian is in the area of present day Jordan and Saudi Arabia. like i wrote above, Cush was a descendant of Ham, actually, his eldest son, and a grandson of Noah, while Zipporah, his Midianite wife was a descendant of Abraham through his wife Keturah. 1 Chronicles 1:32,33 Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan. Noah had 3 sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth. Ham begat Cush, while Shem's line begat Terah who begat Abram, who in turn begat Midian through Keturah Is Cush and Shem same people, just because the came from Noah, the ONLY 'ancestor' who survived the flood? You could as well say the Philistines are same with the edomites or amelekites, using same logic of single ancestor. Note: Cush (Kush) is an hebraic word meaning "black" and it indicates Nubia, today’s Sudan, a country mainly populated by black people. Take a study about Cush, you'd be informed that he is the progenitor of some of the peoples located in Africa, around the Southern parts of Nile (Ethoipia). Please explain to me how she was both midianite and cushite, seeing that those two set of folks are different people, especially skin-wise. ![]() |
vooks:ok son, you saying Moses had ONLY one wife, yes or no? |

vooks:You've been advised severally to leave Bible interpretation for the scripturally sound folks. |
Image123:Hello buddy, how's you? Guess great! Emmm, about the above, let me oblige you. Let's get going, there are at least 2 sources that tell us that Moses spent some time in Ethiopia and was required to marry their queen. He did not consummate the relationship ever, as she was not of the covenant. This was the Ethiopian about which Aaron and Miriam complained; maybe because Moses' precedent with her (non-consummation, or at least non-continuance of the relationship) was carried on to virtuous Zipporah as well. Zipporah was a Midianite, not an Ethiopian - the other wife was an Ethiopian. Why did he send her away? You know she saved moses' life by the circumcision, when God came to whoop him for not circumcising his kid. "And it came to pass, on the way to the lodging place, that the Lord met him and sought to kill him. Then Zipporah took a flint and cut off the foreskin of her son and cast it at his feet, and she said: 'Surely a bridegroom of blood art thou to me.' So he let him alone. Then she said: 'A bridegroom of blood in regard of the circumcision.' " Now, I still don't know what she meant by the latter part sha, but... She saved Moses, and he went on to lead the Hebrews out of slavery. However, despite her bravery and quick thinking, Moses doesn't treat Zipporah especially well or act particularly grateful. Moses sends her and the children away before the Exodus from Egypt. Later, they reunited. Was she divorced? Emmm, can't say exactly (if anyone knows that much, let me know), but if the Bible said they reunited later on, and the fact that he remarried, I think it's possible she was divorced or they separated. But, here is what I think... It's possible that Moses also did not want to take his wife and their two sons to Egypt to avoid giving Pharoah an opportunity to hold them hostage, thus interfering with any negotiating ability of Moses and Aaron, and since he'd be long in Egypt, I think it's logical too. Joagbaje's point thus is, did the separation make moses a failure, seeing that he took another wife? |
Set Your Focus On Eternity - Thursday, March 24 Pastor Chris If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable (1 Corinthians 15:19). God always connects everything He does with eternity, because He thinks in terms of eternity. He's the eternal God, and always, He deals with things that last forever. In Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV), the Bible says, "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men...." He brought eternity to men so they can see beyond this world. Sadly, some Christians don't realize this; hence their business, family plans, interests and relationships aren't connected to eternity. Everything God is interested in, and all that He does, is connected to eternity. So, set your focus on eternity. Set your mind on God's purpose for your life. That's what counts! It has to be a revelation that you accept, endorse and imbibe into your spirit; a knowledge that's a controlling principle in your life. That means everywhere you go, and everything you do, you're inspired by God's eternal purpose and perfect will for your life. The Lord is teaching, inspiring, and strengthening you through His Word today, because He's looking beyond the present moments, beyond the month or year you're in presently. He's even looking beyond all the years that you would live on earth. He's looking at what you'll do with your life in this world, which would determine what eternity would be for you. Therefore, look beyond this world. Confession... I'm taught of the Lord to look beyond the present moments and connect everything I do here on earth to eternity. My choices and decisions concerning my family, job and everything else about my life are founded on the Word; I'm led and guided by the Spirit always, in Jesus' Name. Amen. Further Study: Colossians 3:1-2 AMP If then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Mark 8:35-38 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Joagbaje:Very apt counsel |
Image123:I'm stunned at this response, not just because it's sooooooooooo wrong but by the moniker. Let me take you down memory lane, there was a prophet here on nairaland some Years back, dear Lord, I can't remember his name, but Goshen360 did a risky venture saying he's testing him, after he lied about his personality, all in a bid to discredit him. Joagbaje was on the forefront teaching about prophecy and all, will you say he was prejudiced because the said prophet is a nairalander or is he also a friend of pastor Chris? Take heed my dear friend. |
LambanoPeace:thank you! Been a while, how's SA? ![]() |
Candour:Fine... I now have a confirmation that you equated the church to a Islamic group... Just because I didn't subscribe to your line of reasoning concerning Pastor Chris. Thanks for the time. ![]() |
Candour:you just equated the church of God to a militant group... has it gotten this bad with you? ![]() |
Candour:See now, you believed Anita's claims, and you agreed she was abused... ... But Pastor Chris came out, on a certain communion service and told the whole World, before God's Holy Communion and God's people, and said ALL those were not true. I believed Pastor Chris' Testimony, and you still have a problem with my choice? You believed what you want to, I did... For my reasons, that if pastor Chris were to have lied to the whole world, and God's people, before the bread and wine... And yet God's kept him, for long as till Night Of Bliss South Africa and Ghana, and yet,Did mighty works through him, if he lied and God still kept the church in one piece... Then God must have been biased. What's your reason for believing Rev Anita? Why do you have a problem with my choice of belief? You can believe whatever you will, but.. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome already told the world it's not true, believe him or not is your prerogative. |
Joagbaje:It's weird how they both didn't see this in the OP, neither did they see the NO adultery part... They somehow saw "abuse" and some other things I wonder how they arrived there. I'm frankly surprised someone here hasn't called masturbattion and curled hair, but I wasn't disappointed... They brought in WoF... I'm glad the OP has laid to rest some issues sorely misconstrued... It's just about 5 or 7 folks of the whole 2000+ views that has issues with it.. Majorly because I didn't write what they wanted to see, which is- Chris Oyakhilome is guilt of adultery, abuse and deception. ![]() |
vooks:Your opinion is duly noted. Thanks |
Candour:It's clear that you CANNOT show where I called/painted her a liar, as you conspicuously lied few minutes ago..neither can you show where I insulted her directly or indirectly... Or threads I opened in the past to extol her virtues as a pastor, spiritual mother etc. I humbly acknowledge your new hobby. |
Candour:I know you're alot of other things, but a liar? That's an update I'd have to admit now. Can you show me where I painted her as a liar "for alleging she was abused" or where else have I ever insulted her directly or indirectly? If you can't... You've just proved to the world your new hobby is frivolous lying. |
A Glorious Destiny - Wednesday, March 23 Pastor Chris Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:4-6 NKJV). Our opening scripture reveals something profound about our destiny in God. Read the fifth and sixth verses again, this time, from the Amplified translation: “For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]-- [So that we might be] to the praise and the commendation of His glorious grace (favor and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.” It’s our destiny to live to the praise of God’s grace; He chose and destined us for the glorious and transcendent life. So, as a Christian, you’re not living for nothing; your life isn’t empty. 1 Peter 2:9 says, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” This is your calling; this is your destiny in Christ! It has to become real to you. Why are you alive? What’s your reason for being? Why were you born? Why did you ever come? It’s to fulfil God’s destiny for your life! And part of that destiny is that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues, perfections, excellence, and wisdom of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. The Bible says He’s doing this “According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” You have a glorious destiny in God; a destiny of greatness. It’s however important that you follow God’s Word and live by the principles of the Kingdom. Prayer... Dear Father, I thank you for giving me a purpose and destiny in life, a destiny of greatness! I live the glorious and transcendent life, fulfilling that purpose, in my expression of your virtues, perfections, excellence, and wisdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study : 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. has anyone heard from my good friend Bidam? ![]() |
Candour:Jokes aside...a neonate can figure this out, but i see your futile efforts to discredit the OP... a quick brainwork...If he had, don't you think Rev Anita's lawyers would have found out? Maybe you should read about that law firm.thanks |
vooks:Refer to the OP! Thanks |
paxonel:Are you quoting that premise out of experience? If you're a Nigerian, Did your dad, uncle, granddad and all males in your line abuse their wives? Where I come from, in my family line, it's alien.
|
Candour:How did/do you know Rev Anita was abused? Were you living with them as a driver? Or gardener? I noticed y'all skipped the "adultery" part and clinged to the abuse part... Awesome! |
paxonel:Wait a minute, so, your premise for saying Rev Anita was abused by Pastor Chris is this line "you know Nigeria men are fun of abusing their wives in secret at home. it is a normal characteristics of Nigerian men " |
craziebone:Be ni What it is, then?A Catholic Church... Not roman Catholic. There's a huge difference. What's a pentecostal church? You tell me. Your decision not to join the PFN stems from 1. The betrayal from CAN and the. And 2. The law of the land that allows you to associate freely with anyone and not to associate with anyone at all.Wrong! It's simply because on the day the Holy Spirit came on the apostles, it was on the day of pentecost... They were not the ones celebrating pentecost... The Jews were! That's why I asked you to tell me what a pentecostal church is. I saw you wrote betrayal? Really? How did he betray PFN? Who took Chris Oyakhilome and Christ Embassy to the Nigerian Government, for the banning of Atmosphere of Miracles? Let's not derail this thread... If you want to discuss this further, open a thread and invite me. Emmm... I did not quote the latter part of your story, as Joagbaje, because it was much sillier than the former... No need addressing it. @adedoks, no offence taken! ![]() |
You're the Father's Priority - Tuesday, March 22 Pastor Chris Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you (1 Peter 5:7). As Christians, our connection to our heavenly Father is absolute; it’s not something that changes. We’re connected to Him by spiritual birth. So, whatever is important to you is important to Him. He cares about you affectionately; you’re the Father’s priority. Think about this: an earthly parent can go to any length to ensure his children have a good life. He ensures his children are protected, and that their feeding, shelter, clothing, are all well taken care of. Some even go as far as taking care of their children’s friends. They just love and care for another child, simply because that other child is friends with their own child. Now, if earthly parents can care that much for their children, what do you think of your heavenly Father? God loves you more than you love yourself. He loves you as much as He loves Jesus. He’s more ambitious about your success than you are for yourself. This should make you rejoice, and take worry away from your life permanently. God knows how much you want to be happy; He knows every good thing you want for yourself, and He has granted you all things that pertain to life and godliness in Christ Jesus. He said, “My son, give me your heart and let your eyes keep to my ways” (Proverbs 23:26 NIV). Trust Him and serve Him with your life. He knows what to do with you. He knows everything you desire better than you do. Therefore, give Him your cares, and refuse to be saddled again with those cares. “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee” (Isaiah 49:15). This is God talking to you. When everything seems to be going contrary to what the Word says concerning you, God says, “I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go...” (Genesis 28:15 NIV). His Word concerning you won’t fall to the ground. Prayer... Dear heavenly Father, I’m so grateful for your unconditional and everlasting love. How comforting to know that I’m always on your mind! Thank you for making me a peculiar treasure unto you; I’m your pearl of inestimable value. For these and more, I worship you, and will forever be grateful, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study : Isaiah 43:4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
