My earlier post started with, "Last month we bought 1.5kw(?)". Look at the first statement, there is a question mark after the 1.5kw, and again ,i concluded by saying, "I will confirm the exact wattage and and battery power and update this post later.

So let me confirm now...

Yes, i am back in MODIFY MODE .I was right.It is 1.5KVA or 1500W or 1.5kw,remember physics. Each of the two batteries is 12volt and 200Amperes deep cycle..and the inverter is pure sine wave(very important to note).

I was corrected, that the refrigerator was switched off before the borehole was put on.I was outside the house, at the bore hole position when they put it on, so i thought the fridge was on too.
But it powers the fridge of course along with others smoothly.The sharp fridge is about 5ft tall, almost 2ft with,input power 106watt,input voltage 220v, Netweight 40kg.

Someone talked on how he used one inverter for fan only.If the purpose is for fan only, you may go for rechargable fan N7500..it blows for 8hours, or N12000 which works for about 10 hours..or that fancy Thermocool robot 360 degree fan.

Bottom line is ,if you have the money go and get your inverter but with due diligence otherwise there could be funny products around like china phone. Mission accomplished.

Pls house, i just need help from experienced nairalanders. I have a shop that i want to start selling phones,tablets and laptops, i have been very busy doing something else for now and the rent time is moving fast. I want to put a phone repairer or laptop repairer for now, but my problem is; how do i negotiate the payment or salary since he is the one fixing the phones and laptops?

Please, experienced phone or laptop technicians or good business men should advice me ..i dont know how it is usually done(Its only in this case o, not in other cases).

Please give me best practice idea.

Last month we bought 1.5kw(?) EMEL inverter,2 deep cycle batteries each at 58k (i forgot the amp).. it powers everything in the house, that is, 41 bulbs including 2 multiple light chandeliers(most of the bulbs are energy savers), 3 laptops,6 ceiling fans,42inch screen tv,home theater,Sharp refrigerator, and strange enough, 1 horse power borehole pump and it doesn't sneeze or yawn.We did this several times to test how powerful it is.It lasts over 12 hours...but not with all these loads o. Surprisingly, The only thing we cant load along with the other loads in the house, which makes it cry is ordinary QLink water DISPENSER. Strange enough,even connecting only the dispenser makes the inverter shout even when the dispenser heater is off(abi e mean say the cooling na him dey draw power? Then, what about the big fridge wey no dey complain?).I suspect the dispenser has some poor system issues even though its working fine.

Seriously, when a brother traveled with the inverter we felt it bad cos we started using gen again;...put fuel,engine oil,pull the rope several times,noise pollution,air pollution,always checking if nepa is back,repairs always and disappointment to ignite if mixing is wrong,petrol risk etc.

My experience with this inverter is amazing,though we spent about 158k...i bet you bro,its worth it.Its from india too. We bought it most especially for refrigerator.

Though, we are fortunate to be at a location, GRA where light is not so much a problem, hence we use nepa to charge it easily. Although, we have tried charging it with I PASS MY NEIGHBOR generator and the generator didn't complain nor the inverter fail, everything went fine, but i am not sure the small generator will charge it as fast as bigger ones would do.

People have been asking, "shebi na light dey that house?But i no dey hear generator sound at all...I beg go charge my phone for me there jare"

sessytony: Hello house. I got a tablet in less than 2monthsm it shas stopped switchhing on. Its nt even showing a sign of charging. The tablet did nt fall down. I was charging it yesterday. Wen I checked after 10mins, I realised it has crashed. I nid help from any1 in d house who can restore life back to d tab. I reside in lagos

try to to charge it with computer through usb
did you long press the On button to see if it comes on at all?
I have this experience with a tablet, when it runs down completely,it is very difficult to come on,and it takes long time to charge...i always thought its dead.It has happened several times if the battery runs red.If your battery ran totally dead before you started charging it,this could possibly be the solution...charging for long time.

About shipping through standard mail like Nigerian post office,China Mail,Singapore Post, Hong Kong post,etc...I think the reason for the poor service is because it is not a private enterprise. I am really scared shipping goods through this standard express or mails.Of recent, i tested it by importing less than N1000 naira jewellery using China Mail from Aliexpress.
I was surprised i got call about 30 days later saying i have package from Hong Kong.Now this is where it sounds interesting; the man who called talked as if i have the option of letting him bring it to my home or coming to the post office myself.I was intrigued.I went and collected it all intact.

Sometimes i think those missing items depends on the people working in that department;if they are crooks, things get lost. Many countries purchase things from china and easily ship them to their countries via standard mail yet nothing gets missing, but when it comes to us its a risk.It is true, only use this method to ship what you are not really afraid to loose.I got some experiences at a general post office, hence i got discouraged using them.Shine your eyes!

Yes, UBA AFRICARD is not a credit card. But just to add to our knowledge, CREDIT CARD now exist in Nigeria. Right now i have two in my hands. They are from STANBIC IBTC BANK. They are solid and beautifully made in golden hues and embossed gold lettering.It is only offered to specific individuals who they believe can pay whatever credit they owe by using the card. Hmn,the cards are not mine o,they belong to my brother, he wants to activate them today or tomorrow. They called him and informed him if he was interested, but they made two cards for him instead of one, and they claimed it was a mistake(no be wayo be this, to make am chop plenty gbese?)Credit cards are good but dangerous if you cant discipline yourself on how to chop credit with it.It is strange that it doesn't even appear on GOOGLE. Maybe they are taking it slow and secret for now .Thanks

About ANDROID TABLETS, if i may add, it is good to have a friend or a trusted person who has knowledge on laptop,tablet or phone repairs in case u don't know how yourself, cos whenever your customers' tablet develop problem,they think of contacting you first.

I sold a lovely 10inch SANEI N10 tablet to someone and he lent it out.It fell off from the borrowers' hand and landed on its side directly on the tip/nose of the staircase and slided down with the screen... It is a strong tablet cos there was no screen crack,the screen showed blank but the indicator showed the tablet comes on.

The borrower wanted to take it somewhere to fix but the lender,my customer refused cos he felt he had to bring it to me first.I know how to do some minor trial and error repairs(he didn't know i do minor repairs). When he brought it , i told him if its serious we would have to import whatever is faulty and it would be very expensive.When he left i opened it,lo and behold, i fixed it in 2 minutes;it was just a slight disconnection from the jumper(abi na wetin dem dey call am sef) due to the shock or shaking during the fall. I was surprised how i fixed it so fast, cos i only push and press...Although i prayed first o before i opened it.

Finally, he was very excited cos he thought he was going to spend alot.If the borrower had made the mistake of taking it somewhere else,they would have told him lies and he would part with nothing less than 5k to 10k(most people think its the tablet is around 100k, so they will charge you very high cos they believe you can afford it...hmn!).

You see, my customer would consider me quite supportive and reliable, and he and others will come again asking for more like OLIVER TWIST.

No think say i no collect money from the guy o.I charge am 2k. Trial and error na beans?

Oh i remember,the tablet i sold to a refinery worker was faulty when i imported it, i had to fearfully peel off the resistive screen, and i saw it ugly face inside(no tablet will do me shakara again because i have seen their unclothedness. Hehehehe!) and i used evostic gum to fix it neatly because it was swollen like buns when it came and i suspect that it was a rejected product they sent to me(imagin, and i didnt start dispute with the aliexpress store, i even gave them 5stars...What is RIGHT with me?).

It was exciting when i fixed it and it increased my confidence that i can fix other minor errors.

This post shouldn't scare you if you have no idea on repairs. Just do your best to help with what you know, and then refer them to whoever you think can fix it.

Its a good tablet with 32gig, wow this is rare,BUT the problem is, it is RESISTANCE SCREEN.If u have used the common one i.e, CAPACITIVE SCREEN ,you would hate this resistive screen. In fact that's why its price is not high,although you can get capacitive screen with like specs at around $80(even cheaper than that 80) but not 32gb...search! Better still, go for the one with 2g or 3g sim, or just buy the 3g dongle along with it in case u don't go for the one with sim.U will need internet on it.Wireless (WIFI)is limited in Nigeria.And remember;etisalat,mtn,zain etc modem wont work on them cos they are not android configured.

The worse thing is the SHIPPING FEE($197=N31,520)Haba, its too much!...imagin, you can even buy 4 smaller tabs with the shipping fee.if the fee is about 50-60k it would have been cool.Although, if you really want to buy it, chat with the seller about the shipping fee cos sometimes it is as a result of errors,i am talking from experience. Wish you good grace.

On China ANDROID market, selling price depends on cost price+shipping price and in relation to how much the same product is sold in the country.

If you add N10,000 to it as gain, it is GOOD and fair
If you add N15,000 to it as gain, it is great
If you add N20,000-25,000 to it as gain, it is high and not bad if it has value.

Again it depends on how much you buy it.I you buy 1piece, you may try to make 10,15,20k on it.

If you buy many, you may want to sell it to resellers so that your gain is just about 8k, or 10...

Personally, i dont sell any chinese android beyond 55k/60k(e.g 10" ips,3G,7000mavh,dual camera,dual/quad core etc) cos the price will be competing with standard tablets like kindle,nooks,samsung galaxy and other standard androids, and buyers would rather go for them than spend the same money on the china one.BUT, IF U DEEM IT FIT, SELL IT! even higher! most especially if the spec is great and the client likes it,and you are sure that you would be proud to meet him again even next year with more biz deals without feeling guilty that he would have discovered that the price you sold it to him is not worth it.

I have seen situations where a woman at Abuja saw a lovely cream and wanted to buy,she asked my cousin the price and he said 3k(he thought he overpriced it) but the woman said,
"I am not buying again,i use cream of around 10k or 12k." She walked into her car pissed up.

Another one happened when he tried selling perfume at a filling station at kaduna(VALID PETROL, U/Boro, Sabo). The man asked him how much and he said N2500,the man said, "it is fake,good perfume cost around 5k and above.I am not buying again"

You see what i mean? Sometimes it depends on whom you are selling to.Learn to judge them like the IGBO men do in the market.
DONT LET MONEY BE UR AIM BUT CONTINUITY OR RETURNING CUSTOMERS; MANY WILL REFER OTHERS TO YOU IF THEY ARE HAPPY.

It seems you are new to this biz.It is obvious you didnt follow some rules before you bought it.AOSON is great. Do more research on how to get good stores.The tutorials on nairaland is better than you can get anywhere. The opportunity to create wealth from aliexpress is humongous. Android is amazing, i have bought many from alix and i keep asking myself,why should i spend fortune on buying ipad when android gives me more than enuf.Dont give up, u would be surprise soon.I prefer buying from china and US.UK tax policies makes everything expensive plus there xchange rate.Some are buying from UK not because it is cheap but because its available.Yes, you can clean up the chinco words and put your pidgin or english flow,remember it is ANDROID(flexible) not IOS(restrictive).Imagine, i sold one to a refinery manager whose salary is about a million monthly.I told him not to buy it(Not Aoson, but a poor resitive screen with 2G sim),I told him to buy a higher grade but he refused, now he keeps saying he loves it.i thought he would give it out soon but he wouldnt.You see, your AOSON, i am very sure is better than that one i sold to him .See i think your problem is because you have played with ipad or samsung galaxy tab before and u are xpecting it to be the same.

Managing the Competition

The factors that drive people to buy from you are:

1, Your tutor rating
2, How complete your solution appears to be

Believe it or not the actual solution doesn't matter so much.

The more feedback a tutor has and the higher his rating, the more people will be inclined to buy from him. Obvious right?

Students get only to see a small preview of your work. The SoF system will display the number of files a solution has, its size and the number of words in a .doc file. For assignments that require multiple files to be posted, a solution that appears to be more complete (has more files, bigger size) will have a higher chance of being purchased.

When competing with another A rated tutor, this will often turn the odds in your favor. The more positive ratings you have, the more trusted you will be.

After a student has bought an assignment, send them a message and thank them for choosing you. Ask for an A+ rating if they found your solution helpful and tell them that you'll be happy to answer any further questions they may have. This simple trick will earn you "repeat students".

If your solution is good (and if you really put in the effort, it will be) the student will consider buying from you again. This is VERY profitable. What they will do is they will create a question with your name in the title, for example "For Silvestru ONLY" and you will upload the solution to that file.

With a "repeat student" you can price your solutions much more highly than with a regular one. This is because people pay for quality. A 30% to 50% price increase is reasonable.

I had a "repeat student" that asked for my services 5 times. He even asked me to help him with his finals. I obliged, and cashed in 10 times more than if I tried to compete with other tutors. With an individual assignment you can even take more time, past what the "set" due date is.


Beware of students that promise "to buy again" if you will lower your price. They will hound and harass you to come up with a better solution, and when you have modified the solution to correspond exactly to their requirements, they still won't be satisfied with it.

Your time is valuable so don't waste it with someone who doesn't understand this. The only time when it makes sense to lower the asking price is in the beginning, when you have no ratings and are working to get an A+. You will see many questions that have the price set at $1.

Usually it means one of two things

1. It is a complicated question and the student is flexible with the payment, which means you can ask for a very nice price, or

2. It is a very easy question (and I wouldn't bother with it, unless you're after a good rating)

Sometimes the student will post a VERY confusing question. Follow up with a message and ask him to clarify. I have gotten paid this way because others were wary to answer, of fear that they didn't know the subject matter (ha!) And sometimes, students just plain don't know what they want.
Talk with them (message!) and help them sort their thoughts out.

Sometimes all that it takes is to open a Microsoft Word template and adjust the words in it. Try your best, be creative and soon enough, you'll see those dollars filling your account.
