When I was younger, I would finish the food, lick the plate with my tongue, and settle with the meat. I usually did that so that there will be no disturbances or feeling of guilt that I didn't finish my food before eating the meat. But as I grew older, I would eat half of the food, eat little/half of the meat, finish my food and then settle with the rest of the meat. Presently, I taste the meat first by biting a little portion of it. Then I eat half of the food, eat half of the meat, or atimes, I eat the whole meat. Then I finally finish my food, and settle with the meat, if it remains at all. |

When we offer thanks to God, he receives it. Does that mean God eats them (if they are edible)?? Same thing applies to tithes. Of course, no one expects God to spend any worldly currency. He created the whole world including the things that are in it. The tithes are meant for those representing him on earth here. They are meant for the pastors and the church workers and it is our duty as members of the church to pay them which is the same thing as giving God. Personally, I have never come across any pastor who forces church members to pay him tithes. Well, all the same, I really don't blame you because there are so many fake pastors these days who are just setting up churches for the purpose of money-making. Maybe those are the ones you see that makes you conclude that pastors are collecting "bribes". |

Hey PrettyH, the guy is making sense. I definitely can't go out with a lady that expects only me to always do the spending everytime. Afterall, u ladies say what what a man can do, you people can do better. So why the noise? According to vinna's post, she's referring to african culture which only favours you ladies. Banderas also listed african cultures which doesn't favour you ladies and you're making noise. |

Mister, pls go take a nap. Where have you ever heard of miracles being bought? I don't pay tithes because I want a miracle. I pay tithes because God commanded that I should. If I have 100naira and I pay 10naira as tithe, what will that do for the pastor? How can I use 10naira to bribe my pastor for a miracle? Abeg, this is a public forum. Think b4 you post. |
