For every temptation we have face in our journey to the promised land. There are usually so many ways of escape,that are usually not visible to the physical eye.

However through prayer and patience in the face of tribulations,God will always come through for us especially when he discovers that we can no longer bear it.

In Dan 3 vs 23-30, the three Hebrew boys were given an opportunity to deny their God,yet they stood firm and unwavering in face of trial because they know their God.

And because they were faithful,before they landed in the fire ,the fourth man in the fiery furnace was already waiting for them.

Are you passing through fire? Does the flood of life and challenge seems to sweep you away? Are you constantly being tempted with sin or examination malpractice or masturbation. Just wait for God, and he will make a way of escape.

Never deny God, but declare to that situation that he who has promised will never fail you.

The word of God is so vital to our spiritual growth, without feeding on it adequately. It could lead to spiritual malnutrition or spiritual kwashiorkor.

Kwashiorkor is a serious condition that can happen when a person does not consume enough protein. Severe protein deficiency can lead to fluid retention, which can make the stomach look bloated.

As protein deprivation continues the individual will have growth failure,loss of muscle mass,generalized swelling (edema) and decreased immunity.

_1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby_.

Eating the word of God,will make you grow spiritually and we'll nourished especially with prayers and fasting.

If there were to be a head count or population census to determine the number of those going to heaven and those who are having the mark of sin the latter would definitely be greater than the former.

A mark is often usually a blemish,a stain, dot, discoloration,sign,symbol, character,label,stamp,tag,badge which is usually used for identification.

This mark is spiritual, invisible,real and usually hidden to those who have them yet they are suffering under it and affliction everyday.

A close study of the bible passage in Ezekiel 9 vs 1-6, reveals that six men were commissioned with a slaughter weapon in their hands but one among them was clothed with linen,and with a writer's inkhorn by his side.

The man who clothed with a white linen, was later told to go through the city and set a mark upon the foreheads of those who were crying for all the abomination done in the city while the others were to be smitten and they shouldn't be spared .

Including old and young,with little maids and little children and that he should begin at the sanctuary. What a tragedy!!!

Do you have the marks of the Lord Jesus (Gal 6 vs 17) or the mark of sin(Job 10 vs 14)?

Anyone who has the mark of sin, can't remove it by soap, detergent,chemical or surgery except by the blood of Jesus.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Topic : The marks of sonship pt 2

Text. : John 13 vs 34-35.

" _By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another_":- *John 13 vs 35*

A mark is ussally an impression or a symbol placed on an object or property to indicate ownership. This mark is real, invisible but undeniable!!!.

For example in order for companies to know the number of property they have in their possession they would put a mark on them.

Likewise schools would often give their pupils uniform and id card so that they can identify them in the midst of the crowd.

In case you are wondering,what could this mark be that can be used to identify the sons of God. It is the *mark of Love*,the bible records in our memory verse in John 13 vs 35...by this shall all men know that you are my disciples.

Then he now added a crucial condition,if ye have love one to another. Unfortunately love is now a scarce commodity among brethren.

Love is the latest,the greatest,the crucial,the most important , commandment given to all men.

1 Corinthians 13:13 ...... but the greatest of these is charity.

Can we find this mark of love in your conduct,character,speech and relationship with your fellow brethren? Is your love and devotion to God waxing cold? Do you often find it hard to forgive? What about your spouse and children? How often do you give to the poor?

Even though Jesus is the truth,but he spoke it with love to those around him. Love is not harsh, neither is it selfish.

Ephesians 4:15 But *speaking the truth in love*, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.

Love is the first fruit of the spirit,but very rare among believers today, without love a son is not yet complete in Christ because all that we have the gift and the fruit of the spirit can only manifest through love.

Discpline is the act of using punishment to correct act of disobedience,so that we can become wiser and matured in the Lord.

It is a means of separating children from sons , therefore we must embrace discpline so as to reach our goals.

We aren’t born with self-discipline; it’s a learned behavior. And just like any other skill you want to master, it requires daily practice and repetition.

For example no one was born with the ability to fast or pray for long hours.

Not even Paul was born with this ,but by putting his body under subjection on daily basis he was able to reach a point when he could boldly declare that he was dead to the law and he had been crucified with Christ.

Galatians 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

_2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me_.

One crucial lesson we ought to learn as we mature in sonship is that discipline is a vital mark of sonship.

Therefore embrace so that it can yeild the peaceable fruit of righteousness and understanding it is for our profiting.

*Topic : Build a new altar*.

"_And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed_"- 1 king's 18 vs 32



An altar is a place is where sacrifices are placed, usually built with stones, where can covenant can be maintained or activated.

It is a place where contact can be made with the spirit world or a place where certain spirit can be invoked.

In our bible verse today, Elijah first built a new altar in the name of the Lord, with twelve stones.

And with the stones, he *BUILT* an altar, whereas Jacob slept on a stone in the verse below.

*Genesis 28:11: And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to SLEEP*.

One major lesson we could learn from the two examples is that many believer's have turned their altar to a sleeping ground.

Secondly, the time meant for the building has been turned to sleeping time.

Beloveth now is the time to awake out sleep,because a revival is coming,that will cause power to change to hands(Ephesians 5 vs 14).

1). Ensure you don't use the time for building for building for sleeping.

Topic : The voice of destiny

Text : Mk 10 vs 46-52.

Memorise:
" _For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end_"- Jer 29 vs 11



Destiny is defined as the plan of God, for an individual even before he was born. It could also be described as your expected end(Jer 29 vs 11).

_Jeremiah 1:5 : Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee_....

According to the yorubas, destiny is called " ayanmo" which means what i have chosen.

In our bible reading today, blind bartimeus made some choices that helped his destiny. What was the choice he made?


He asked for mercy,and that which he asked for brought a change of story for him.

From that day onward he stopped begging men for money as a calling or career.

Secondly his location changed, from the highway side to someone who was following Jesus on the way.

Why don't you ask for mercy, today and he will change your story too.

My beloveth brother dreams is one of the crucial ways that God use to communicate with human beings so as to warn them of future events. Remember he knows the end from the beginning,that is why he is the alpha and Omega.

Secondly the meaning of that dream is dangerous. It signifies that there is danger ahead.

Thirdly, if she is not the right person, with patience and prayers God will bring someone better than her across your way.

Lastly, marriage is a lifetime commitment so don't rush , just be patient and God will give you the best.

*Text. : 2 Sam 11 vs 1-5*

" _Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me_"- Psalm 51 vs 5

In our previous devotional, we learnt that the Lord can lift us out of the pit of poverty. May the Lord lift everyone of us in Jesus name.

In our bible reading today in 2Sam 11 vs 1-5, David fell into the pit of sin through lust of the eyes, when he sent for another man's wife and slept with her, and later killed the man in an attempt to cover his sins.

In addition, the more David attempted to crawl out of the pit the more he sank in this horrible pit. Until God had mercy on him, by sending prophet Nathan to him(2 Sam 12 vs 1-7).

There are so many lessons we can learn from David in this regard.
How did he come out of this pit of sin?
Firstly, he acknowledged his sins according to the verse below.

*Psalms 51:3 : For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me*.

How often do you acknowledge your sins? Do you often call your sin a mistake? Or an error?

Secondly he confess and forsake.
*Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy*.

It's unfortunate that many believers come out for altar call, without actually forsaking their sins.

It was recorded that he never committed the same sins again no wonder he was called "a man after God's heart.

Thirdly, he asked for a clean heart.
*Psalms 51:10 : Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me*

1) Ask God for a clean heart today.

One of the greatest tragedy that can plaque a believer when they loose their hunger and thirst for God.

One major reasons why babies are always growing and changing is due to the fact that , they are always hungry and demanding for more.

What are the blessings spiritual hunger brings?

1) *It brings greatness* : Hunger is the seed of greatness!!! The more hungry and thirsty you are the more God is willing to increase.

Ephesians 3:20 : Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

David had an insatiable appetite for the presence of God more than all his contemporaries. Likewise Paul was zealous and hungry for the power of God. No wonder he spoke in tongues more than they all.

1 Corinthians 14:18: I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all

Beloveth let us not be too busy to pray. An unknown author said "We are too busy to pray,but the busier our Lord was, the more he prayed.

" For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men" Titus 2 vs 11

Salvation is the free gift of God to humanity.
It is one of the greatest miracle that can happen to an individual.

Salvation is what grant us access to eternal life. It is also a transformation from humanity to divinity.

In our bible reading for today, the grace of God that brings salvation appeared to Zacheus a tax collector and a sinner.

And he received this grace, joyfully and neither did he frustrate it.

Luke 19:8 : And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

Are you like Zacchaeus? Are you not frustrating the salvation you have received?

One of the ways we frustrate salvation is when we don't restitute our ways.

Restitution is vital after Salvation so as to have a clear conscience with God and with fellow men.

_Acts 24:16 : And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men_.

There is *WAR* going on, and it is a silent one against the destiny of young men. It doesn't matter whether you are aware of the battle or not.

What is this WAR? The bible verse below supply the answer.

1 Peter 2:11: Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which WAR against the soul.

"Bishop David Oyedepo once said if you see a war and you don't handle it like it should be handled you might become a casualty in it"

There was a Christian brother on fire who always prayed every 12 midnight. One day, he decided to assist a sister who had accommodation problem to live with him in his apartment until she gets her own accommodation. As they began to live together, the first and second nights that the lady stayed with him, his prayer voice was still heard in the night as usual.

But on the third night, his voice began to reduce and later, his voice was not heard at night anymore for obvious reasons. This was how he lost his spiritual fire. Indeed, Lust is a silent killer.

Are you taking the journey to heaven casually? Are you taking the war against sin casually? Fight the good fight of faith and your crown is waiting for you in heaven.

1). Ask God to kill the spirit of lust in your heart.

The word mercy actually implies extending patience to those who deserve to be punished or judged.

Also it means withholding judgement or punishment from someone who deserves it, with the hope that the individual will repent(James 2 vs 13)( Prov 28 vs 13).

While the word vessel simply means a container that could be moulded and filled ,for a purpose so as to fulfill a mandate(Job 4 vs 19, 2Cor 4 vs 7)

A careful and deliberate study of all those who received mercy from God(Joseph,David,Moses) reveals that they had the fear of God while vessels of wrath(Pharaoh, Judas, Gehazi) didn't fear God.

Beloveth my counsel to you today fear God and never take him for granted.

Luke 1 vs 50: And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

1). Examine yourself today and see if you fear God because it is the whole duty of man(Eccl 12 vs 13).

Prayer point:

1) Father please bestow upon me your mercy beyond merit in Jesus name.

There is hardly anyone in life, who doesn't need help, whether you are young,old,rich,poor and irrespective of your religion.

However the best person to help, us is the one who lives in heaven.

It has been established in our bible reading for today,that without the help of God, success can turn to failure.

For example, the disciples had successfully cast out demons before, but in this passage they couldn't repeat the same again.

_Mark 6:7 : And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits_.

However, the bible records that they failed woefully until Jesus came to their rescue.

Beloveth overconfidence can turn success into failure,and it is certain God will never help evil doers. Repent from any form of evil, if you need divine help.shalom!!!

1). Always ask help from the Lord every day before steping out.

1). Father help me so that my success will not turn to failure in Jesus name.

It is quite amazing the number of error we make everyday of our lives.

An error is an action that is improper or inaccurate. It could also mean taking the wrong action at the right time. It is the opposite of the truth, and it is usually sponsored by ignorance.

In our bible reading for today, the disciples committed an error out of their sheer ignorance and because of this they couldn't cast out the demon.

Even though Jesus had given them power to heal and to cast out devil's.

Beloveth what was their error?
The Lord revealed it to them in the verse below.

Mark 9:29: And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Are you committing the same error too? Are you suffering for what you should be enjoying?

Make an enquiry today from the Lord today and he will correct you.

Beloveth ,it is an error for a king,to be begging his servants before sending them on errands.

God isn’t so busy running the universe that he doesn’t have time for our little problems. He tells us to cast all our anxieties on him. Why? Because HE CARES FOR YOU. He cares about you(Psalm 55 vs 22).

He cares about your children, marriage,career, hair,debt, and grandchildren. He cares about you in your job.

He cares about his church, even when your parents and friends have condemned and forsaken you. He doesn't want you to perish

In our bible reading today in Mark 4 vs 35 -41, the disciples were afraid, and concluded in their heart that the master does not care.

They thought if he really care, by now he should be awake and probably help them in pushing out the water in the boat.

Also they would have thought, if he really care he would have woken up and ask them to put on a lifejacket.

The master cares more than we can think, or imagine, because he is the good shepherd and not a hireling.

*John 10:13 : The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep*.


The verse below gives us more insight that only those who are far from him will perish.

Psalms 73:27: For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.

Are you far from God? Are there any barrier between you and God? Does it look as if God is sleeping or doesn't care?

Beloveth he cares more than, you can imagine just call on him today.

" _In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea_" Isa 27 vs 1


In our previous devotional,we learnt that lack of knowledge can lead to captivity and destruction.

Our objective today is to learn,why the Lord also rebuked the sea as well in order for the storm to become silent.

*Mark 4:39 : ................ and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm*.

One of the strongest forces, in the kingdom of darkness are the marine forces and their supervisor is another spirit called Leviathan. It another for the serpent ,who is also the devil.

These marine forces are the major sponsor of the following activities.

1). They invent new disease :
In the year 2015, there was an outbreak of Ebola virus in Africa, the Lord showed me a revelation then that they were behind it.

2). They love immortality :
Whenever you see incest,whoredom, lesbianism, masturbation,pornography,indecent dressing, adultery, fornication. Also they set sex trap for anointed men of God, so to destroy their ministries.

3). They control the entertainment industry.

4). They exchange babies in the womb.

5). They are resistant to prayers:
Whereas ordinary fasting and prayers can deal with other forces of darkness.
You need more than three days of marathon fasting and prayers to deal with these forces .

6). They manipulate dreams:
Especially for those trusting God, for a spouse they can manipulate your dreams so as to see their preferred candidates.

7) They plant evil objects in human bodies.

In order to overcome these forces you must know the word of God, which is the sword of the spirit.

Jer 50 vs 36a : A sword is upon the liars; and they shall dote; a sword is upon her mighty men, and they shall be dismayed*.

Also you must be skillful with the sword of the spirit and be fervent in prayers.

1) Be determined in know all devices of the enemy.

1). Father let the sword of the Lord come upon every work of the devil in Jesus name.

Read. : Mark 4 vs 35-41.

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

In our previous devotional, we learnt that there is no peace for the wicked,but there is peace of mind for those who are in Christ.

Our objective today is to learn, that every word spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ is a spirit and that his word can set you free.

The first lesson we can learn,from this story is that physical weapons cannot handle spiritual storms.

Immediately the disciples woke him up, he didn't address the captain of the ship but he spoke to three things, which are the wind,the sea and the disciples.

1). He rebuked the wind :
Why did he spoke to the wind? Because he saw that some principalities and power were using the wind or the forces of the air to hinder from reaching their destination.

*Mark 4:35:.........., Let us pass over unto the other side*.

There is particular demon in charge of the wind and he could make the wind to go contrary, so as to hinder progress.

The name of this demon is called *Belzebub*, the disciples had no knowledge about this ,so the disciples were stranded and confused.

Hosea 4:6a : My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.......

Also, Isaiah 5:13a : Therefore my people(disciples) are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge .......(Emphasis mine)

Beloveth the wind is a powerful force, it could aid your flight,progress ,speed and it could also hinder your journey to destiny.

When an eagle want to soar he look at the direction of the wind and soar in that direction, and it will have a peaceful flight.

Beloveth, peace is a spirit and that was why he said peace be still.

Mark 4:39 :And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, *Peace, be still*. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Immediately he spoke the word became a spirit and the wind ceased and the storm came to an end. The verse below gives us more insight.

Ecclesiastes 8:4 : Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou ?

And the disciples began to wonder,what kind of man is this, but they didn't know him as the king of kings.

Are you passing any storm? Is the storm hindering your progress? Are the wind blowing contrary to your expectations?

Why don't you speak and let God hear you? Sorosoke!!!

Sincerely you need to give your life to Christ and also go for deliverance as quickly as possible.

His death is a lesson for all, that we shouldn't forget God and we must fear him. No matter the wealth and fame ,it is appointed unto all men to die once after this is judgement. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

These are the signs of the end times,which the bible has already spoke about. God is the author of marriage and it should be between a man and a woman, not a man and Steve , not a man and animal and it shouldn't be between a man and sex dolls either.

It's definitely a sign of rebellion against God. Let us condemn such, before God pours his wrath upon us.
