TrueLegend:
LOL...if d rest of d country refuses to vote jonathan,,,they can start looking for new ways to sustain d economy, bcoz no oil barge wud sell a barrel from d Niger delta,,,Boko haram spoilt d economy of d north,,,but Mend's new attack wud shut down d economy of Nigeria,,,

Stop deceiving your self, boko-haram thrived because the President let it. If Jonathan loses the election and someone starts destroying pipelines because of it, its the local communities that will suffer it. If Jonathan loses, oil will flow and there will be regular vandalism like it use to be. But life will go on. Militants, soldiers and civilians will get killed, but oil will flow. live.

bloggernaija: Only serious countries and politicians are invited.
OBJ was always invited because he has international clout.
The American will always be grateful to OBJ for keeping the oil flowing during the oil crisis of the 70's.
Nigeria under this president however has become relegate to a inconsequential country.
What does nigeria have to offer in terms of global events like Syria , chemical weapons or even Mali and Congo .
We cannot even deal with boko haram.
The perception you get is that world leaders do not want to be associated with him.
You may want to ask whether going is necessary.
Well OBJ got debt relief from lobbying these same leaders.

Two outcasts, their mates are in Russian discussing serious issues. One became a resolute man overnight because his 2015 ambition was threatened, the crudity he does not have over corruption and religious violence and the other is seeking to remove Kenya from the statute that established the ICC over his Buhari like comment which led to blood shed. birds of a feather.

solopumpy227: President Goodluck Jonathan is right.

* OBJ was the one that 'promised' the North to serve for only one term.
* OBJ 'annuled' Amhadu Ali's election as PDP BOT Chair and imposed Anenhi against a popular choice.
* OBJ was the one that suspended Ameachi and Bafarawa ...
* OBJ is the one that 'deactivated' the entire SW organ of PDP
* OBJ facilitated the removal of Oyinlola, Sam Jaja and co...
* OBJ was the one that banned about 50 aspirants 'not loyal' to GEJ to contest for executive positions at the special mini conference...

Politics / Offa Re-run Election Result Is Beyond Offa Matters. Gen. Buhari. by Gorrbachev: 4:33pm On Sep 02, 2013
"THOSE WHO WILL ACCUSE BUHARI OF INCITING VIOLENCE SHOULD BETTER COME OUT NOW, CONDEMN PDP AND ASK THEM
TO HANDS OFF OFFA LGA IN KWARA STATE.

A free and fair elections was conducted in Offa LGA of Kwara state yesterday under the watch of Nigerians and APC beat PDP hands down with over 70% of cast votes.
The whole result was collected as early as 6pm yesterday, but the returning officer absconded and disappeared. There was no one to announce the result after all party agents and security agents had signed.

This afternoon, while APC and Offa LGA people were celebrating their victory, PDP announced themselves winner at the state headquarters for an LGA election.

Some shameless Nigerians will want me to talk like the hypocritical Jonathan "do not rig election for me or fight for me. my ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigeria" This deceit has expired. If PDP thinks that their plan C is to announce their own election result after they lose and tell us that election is not worth the blood of anybody, I can assure you that what happened in Syria, Egypt, even Libya will be a child's play to what will happen in Nigeria.

If Jonathan and PDP think they can announce their own result, then we shall not only insist on the original result but declare the office of the president vacant and match to Aso rock to occupy it.

If you think Nigeria has Army and Police at the disposal of Jonathan and PDP, may i remind you that the population of the Army, Police and others forces are less than 5% of the total Nigerian population. The remaining 95% will constitute a force and will fight anyone who will rig election and stand on the way.

The remedy is for you and all of us to start to shout now and pressure PDP to give up on this her plan C so we can avert this danger.

The soul of Nigeria is worth a fight.

The future of my children is worth blood.

The welfare of Nigerians who are dying of hunger sickness, starvation, accident and joblessness is worth sacrifice and that is where I stand.

TO BE FOREWARNED IS TO BE FOREARMED. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.

We shall no longer shy away from the challenges of freedom. We shall demand it now "no matter" what it cost and that includes anything to make Nigeria free from this criminal gang called PDP".

Foreign Affairs / Re: Racist Malaysia - Africans Decry Tenancy Ban by Gorrbachev: 9:09am On Aug 29, 2013
eGuerrilla:

Let's not forget that some of our parents were also confronted with "no tenancy" signs in Britain, back in the 1960s.

Given that Malaysia continues to attract thousands of African students, I think we need to be careful not to blow these localised problems out of proportion.

My personal advice to anyone discriminated against in this manner is to seek remedy via a judicial route.
In addition, get better organised and demand some kind of reaction from the Nigerian embassy in Malaysia.

Their government pinches them and they bite foreigners, that's what's happening.

nerodenero: For Wizkid:
1. No man is a fountain of knowledge. We are all learning and mistakes are always inevitable. Though we pay for ignorance but it is maturity to accept our shortcomings and make amends. He should have accepted the fact that he wasn't supposed to say 'an hangover' and correct himself accordingly. The matter would have died a natural death. Again, Wizkid should know that calling a fan 'poor' shows he is highly disrespectful. Without these fans, you are nobody. He should begin to learn as he is no longer a kid despite calling himself wiz-Kid.
For J-Martins
1. There was nothing wrong in correcting a young artist for a wrongdoing. Besides, Wizzy is like a younger brother to J-martins. Since Wizzy wont accept his fault, I suggest J-Martin should just ignore him and move on.

First of all, whats J-Martin's business with what Wizkid said about an online troll. He has no business commenting on what does not concern him. he should ahve avoided the question during the interview.

A hospital spokesman contacted by Bernama said that a few of the victim's friends turned up at the department of forensics and identified the body.

“Arrangements are now being made by the authorities to inform the victim's family and next-of-kin to claim the body,” he said.

With this identification, all 37 bodies taken to the hospital have been identified. Of the number, seven have yet to be claimed by the next-of-kin.

Meanwhile, the spokesman said that five other victims of the bus crash who were warded at the hospital were in stable condition.

There are critical issues facing our nation today that should task us, beyond the infantile debate as to which ethnic group produced the first person to eat ‘ponmo’ in Nigeria!
grin grin grin grin

It is time we put an end to the on-going nonsensical debate between some Igbo and Yoruba commentators and face the real issues of poverty, development and national unity.

national unity is good, but not at the expense of Yoruba dignity. Everyone should show respect. What you won't tolerate from your own blood brother or cousin, don't do to your neighbour.
