Am sure u ppl av never been to a 'church' that collect tithe, where a pastor return ur tithe and calls u a thief bc they sense u've nt paid d correct tithe, in most of these churches they keep tithe record s and tithe cards and u r nt a member if u dont pay tithe and d church can nt answer u in any situation, eg, death, marriage, sickness or any other need. There are 2types of ppl that collect tithes (1) the sincere ignorant pastors and 2. The robber who knows d truth, bc he is a thief twist bible to steal, now pastors in d 2nd category are our target in this crusade, now we dont tell ppl not to give or contribut to d church 4 plausible reasons, but pls dont call it tithe and dont quote Mal3, d day u do that, u've fallen from grace, to u Christ died for noting and thats profanity. Stop practicing judaism and christianity instead bcome a muslim. God bless u sir.

peedeeasobie: 1stly I must say that we shld be careful how we condemn Pastors and leaders in churches. That a Pastor makes a doctrinal error doesn't mean he is not of God. He simply needs to learn the Word of God more.

Having said that, let's jump right into the Word!
There sumtn called the Law of first mention in the interpretation of the scripture- u have to study the 1st time a word was mentioned in the scripture.

Tithe was 1st mentioned in Gen. 14:20: Abram gave tithe to Melchizedek but dat was after Melchizedek had BLESSED him with BREAD and WINE. Abraham ddnt give tithe because he wanted to get blessed but he gave it because he was already blessed and as a thanksgiving to God.
The bible said the Levites paid tithes in Abraham- the law never required the levites to pay tithes again.
Jacob paid tithe as a vow not because he wanted to be blessed- he was already blessed before making the vow.
What of the popular Malachi? The nation of Isreal had already sinned against God in so many things, using false weighs, offering unclean animals, cheating etc and because of these, the devourer had visited the land! So God told them to repent and pay tithe so that the devourer will go. He ddnt say that if u don't pay the tithe I will send the devourer, No!

Jesus is our firstfruit, our tithe. In christ, we have fulfilled the law- we have paid the tithe just as the levites paid tithes in Abraham.

Abraham gave tithe after he received BREAD and WINE (communion, the gospel, grace), the bible said the gospel was first preached to Abraham. He ddnt give it to be blessed.

Is tithing a law now? No. Is it cancelled? No. Shld a christian give tithe? If he wishes. Tithe doesn't prosper u. U already prospered when Jesus died and resurrected.

A man can decide to give a tenth of a blessing that God made possible for him. A man can make a vow to give a certain if God will bring out of a trouble. Its btw him and God.
Tithe shld never be emphasized in churches or condemn. If the man chooses to give one fifth, one tenth ete, it btw him and God.
Tithing won't make u rich. U r already rich thru Christ!

I put it to you that the other disciples don't even know about these two natures you are talking about, the Old Testament did not say anything about it either. Paul spent half of the book of Romans explaining these mysteries of the 'new man'.

Anyone who does not understand the statement 'a sinner cannot sin' can easily take it for legalism. They might think we are saying, we are too good to lie or too good to make mistakes. Some might also take it to mean we are saying continue sinful acts since you can't sin.

In Hebrew different words were used for the term we call grace. Several examples of the grace of God in the Old Testament are found in such places as Deuteronomy 7:9; Nehemiah 1:5; 9:32; Daniel 9:4 and II Chronicles 6:14 just to name a few.

If you research the word Paul used for grace, you will see that the concept is rooted in the Hebrew word hesed which is often translated grace, mercy, or loving kindness., God's grace is used in the biblical text three ways. First, in creation, second, in His covenants, and third, in forgiveness God extended mercy and grace to all who repented.Thanks

peteregwu: thevway i see you, you bother yourself a lot. if you don't want to pay tithe, let it be. if your issue is those misusing it, then you don't understand your Christianity, it means you are still chasing shadows. wallowing in unfaithful Christianity. I dint see reason why a true Christian should be bothered about tithing. I can even give God all my possession If a led to, so long the church is an evangelical church that is involves in evangelism and preaching of the gospel.

let those that wil take care of money be for God sake. if you mindful of the time we are into now, my friend you will not bother yourself about money or who is eating the money secretely. my friend you should be bothered about going about preaching the word in buses, and with your megaphones on tye street.
