MrExpensive: Boss @ Gptech please what is the conversion of 212cc to hp or how many KVA is the generator.
I just bought kemage 4800 generator for my 1.5hp Lorenzo water pump. What's the power rating of the gen? So many wrong info online. Or just snap the gen with the inscription on it. You can also check the manual for the specs. You cannot use just the engine size to determine kva. Two gen sets from same manufacturer can have same engine size but difference kva because of different coil size. |

GabrielYulaw: Oh wow. That particular home theater system has always been on my buy list. If the problem is this widespread, maybe it's best I seek out other home theatres. Except LG seems to make the best. Do let us know what your electrician discover is the cause of the issue. LG seems to make the best home theater systems or marketers sell mostly LG? |

southsouthking: This is the thread I've been looking for.
Please I'm hear to ask a very important question as I'm confused on what generator to get.
This is what i want to power simultaneously. 1.5 HP Hisense inverter Air-condition Scanfrost deep freezer. Hisense Led TV 4k One laptop and some few energy saving bulbs.
The Gen must have a very low noise.
Please someone should answer me I'm begging the generator gurus on this thread. A gen of the required size with low noise is not sold in 9ja. Get at least a 3.5kva gen. Sumec Eco 3990 or Thermocool optima 4000ES. |

Toma2: The SPG3000 is rated 2.5kva not 3.5 SPG3800 is rated 3.5kva KVA and KW are not the same. Check well, what you saw was 2.5KW. |

Please what about 1hp non inverter skyrun AC?
Can Firman SPG 2900 run it comfortably? You'll ruin the gen in the long run. |

3.5 KVA will be enough to run the AC with a table top Hisense fridge, standing fan and led tv at the same time? Is it inverter Ac? If not that gen will suffer. |
Technology Market › Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by Gptech(m): 5:46pm On Feb 18, 2023 |
tizteezy: Thank you so much
So you'd rather I go for:
Sumec Firman Elepaq Constant Thermocool
Hope they're good choices?
Also
Can a 2.5kva generator run a 1.5hp Hisense AC? For that size remove elepaq from your list and no, a 2.5kva generator is too small for a 1.5hp AC. |

What about Parsun 4000DXE. Barely used for one year plus.
In working condition
Good deal?
I saw somewhere on the blog that Parsun use capacitors. Does this make them a poor brand? Avoid generators with capacitors if you value your electronic appliances. |

brandon180: Good evening boss please I need your assistance, I turned on my gen today and tried putting on my fridge but the generator did as if it wanted to go off, when I put the fridge off, the generator picked back again. I don’t know what the problem is. What's the power of the gen? Its possible running speed is too low. |

tizteezy: He's selling for 100,000
He's fixing the exciter before selling
He says he wants to get a bigger one for his home needs Hmm, amount is questionable, new one is getting close to 300k, even a new Junior of around 1.2kva is well over a 100k. If you have a good trusted technician you should take him along. I am thinking there are likely hidden issues with the gen. |

One of the most popular Generators, the Spg3000 is 3.5kva. There are many options between 3.5kva to 6kva. |

anthoniosp: I got the firman Gen instead 6kva and last night it refused to turn on, it wasn't even kicking and even when I try to use the manual rope, that one too isn't working. A new gen I just bought. And the key is turned to the 'on' position? If you did everything right and it's not coming up, simple return it. If you want to try something, you can try another spark plug. Many times, these sellers replace original spark plugs with cheaper ones. |

Arinze96: Is it because of the ACs? Will 3.5kva be enough if there is no 2hp AC in the picture? If yes, what brand would you advice I go for?
Thank you. Yes, because of the Acs. 3.5-4.5kva is not bad for the 1.5hp AC. I recommend only Sumec and Thermocool, but you can check out Maxi too. |

osic: For protection against power fluctuations with PHCN power supply and since I read here that I can use a stabilizer with a generator, I want to be safer than sorry.
I need your honest opinion. Thank you. A good surge protector should do a better job. If you normally have low voltage supply in your neighborhood then it makes sense to get a stabilizer. |

shedo4sure: Just bought this gen few days ago and I just learnt here that it uses an aluminium coil 😔. If I had discovered this thread earlier, I wouldn't have settled for it.
Please, how long do you think this gen can serve me b4 it eventually breaks down? Can the coil be replaced with copper should it fail or start giving me problems It can last you for as long as possible provided you don't use it for heavy loads and change oil regularly. |

Arinze96: Good evening bosses.
Please I need a generator recommendation. The loads are; 1.5hp, 2hp both inverter ACs, a smart TV, a game console and a 130L fridge.
I'd appreciate something with low noise, fuel efficiency and isn't too expensive.
Thank you. A 5kva generator should do. It's going to be noisy compared to smaller generators, consume more fuel and of course expensive. |
