From my findings across the internet; the Mi8 is rated slightly higher than the mix 2s due to battery performance, AMOLED display, IR face unlock, and front facing camera. But I personally will prefer Mix 2S over the Mi8 because of the number of LTE bands supported, wireless charging while the front camera position is annoying.

I have been confused as to which to upgrade to between Mi8 and Mix 2S from my present MI6.

fibonacci2526 gptech your advise please.
Hmmm, I hope your confusion has been reduced now. If you ask me, the notch alone in the Mi8 is a personal turn off. Go with what Fibonacci said.

Why 6.9 inches, that is too wide, it's a no no for me.
Agreed screen is big but not wide, narrower than the conventional 6.44 inch screens with 16:9 aspect ratio, like the one found in the Original Max and Max 2.

Good morning guys, please I need the gurus in the house to help me with this question. Presently I'm using mi max 2, so if I decide to upgrade in the nearest future and I want to sell this phone, how do I wipe everything clean including my mi account so the new owner can activate theirs? Because I read that even if you flash the phone, it will still ask for your mind account password before unlocking the phone.
Thanks
Upgrading or updating has nothing to do with what you have asked. If you want to sell your device all you need to do is logout your Mi Account and do a factory reset or delete your files manually.

Short and abridged version of ARB thingy for noobs... If u are on oreo based miui rom don't think of downgrading to a nougat based one so as to be on a safer side...
Simple
The warning is mostly directly at redmi note 5 pro users (cauz dia device was launched with nougat), for now d ARB is not implemented on vince (redmi 5 plus)..
Na India ppl e go affect na, na their own Redmi note 5 (pro) come with Nougat, we here na Oreo out of the box.

This entire anti roll back saga has me shook.

Basically Xiaomi has ruined the entire update/custom rom scene.

Best believe this is not a great time to be advising people to flash this or that. Cos if the phone hard brick penren, issolova. It will take a lot of luck to get it back up.

And that's coming from a person for whom tinkering is 2nd nature.

Anyways, it's time to invest in a deep flash cable sef.

Kudos to the genuine hustlers and marketers on this thread. Gone are the days that people will be cautious to do businesses with an entire strangers without not loosing a sleep. Thank God that people like Ozor maxwell, Awaritefe Emmanuel (the chief scammer and GCON of scammers here with over 20 different bank accounts) has been kept away from here,( heard that he had terrible accident with broken bones, and later soliciting for help on nl from people he had entered their black book,,). May be nemesis has cut up with him, and he is dead.
Gone are the days where scammers took over threads upon threads to cheat, defraud innocent ones. At least, this thread has proved me wrong. The trust is building up and the competition is getting interesting.
Only if we can be genuine in our businesses as an individual and as a nation, then we will all win together. Keep it up guys, may God bless your hustles. May your chioma phones not get bricked... grin grin grin
Hmmm, we know some scammers are looking for ways to penetrate this thread, still on red alert. As it has been, you stay away from troubles by asking questions here, not just on private chats, newbies should take note.

We have said it on here over and over again, what you will get in this part of the world is redmi note 5 (AI). Nobody here has the redmi note 5 pro except they got theirs from India as that is the only region it is meant for.
We dey wait for those wen visit the Taj Mahal to return.

Hello House, I got my Redmi Note 5 from Jumia today but I must tell you that it's not 5 note pro. The phone is note 5 AI dual camera. I've been following the reviews of the phones on gsmarena.com before I bought them. Both 5AI and 5 Pro have the same thing (only my few different) from look, chipset, same battery capacity etc. The difference are in camera, 5AI has dual camera has note 5 Pro has but 5AI has AI features (whatever that is, you can get it through Google as we are not in class) also 5AI has 13mp front camera with AI features as well but 5 Pro come with 20mp super selfie though apertures are different.
From what I've seen on gsmarena.com, 5AI has quick charge 3.0 while note 5 Pro has quick charge 2.0 (though you'll have to get your adapter yourself to get these).

If what I'm posted is what you've been buying has 5 note pro kindly let me know.
So this issue still dey? Issorite smiley.
