I think ever since Android 5.0, multi tasking has been an issue with all android phones that have 2GB ram and less. This problem gets worsened by the fact that phone companies started rolling out custom UI which adds more strain to the phone and make it lag more. If u want good multitaking on a 2GB ram phone, look for older phones like samsung s4, phantom z. Otherwise switching to another brand may not help you.

That's why they should use updated processors with better performances, it's not an Android problem, but these guys have failed repeatedly to use good socs. I used a 2gig ram phone on Android 5 and MTK X10 processor, multi tasking was like breeze, then only problem was the overheating from that processor.

We never get 100% of it because we get OS already installed on it from factory/company(Irrespective of platform Android/iOS/Windows/BlackBerry). The OS installed takes space, on top of it each manufacturer may provide its own custom UI, some pre-installed apps. The general rule is 'More feature rich the phone is, less space will be available of end user'. Because each new feature is managed by a program or peace of code which sits on the hard disk of the equipment itself.

It is not just the case of mobiles, it happens in case of PC's and Laptops as well. The capacity mentioned is Total capacity of Hard Disk in formatted format when nothing is installed on it. The moment you want any Operating system like Windows/Linux etc on it, the space from this Hard Disk is used.

Go to the security app( mostly hidden in tools folder) - Scroll down and click 'data usage' - Restrict data usage - then untick the apps you want to restrict. Take note, you can restrict apps from mobile data or WiFi or both.
