itsloba: Good day family. Quick advice needed. The big boys snatched my rn4 from me few days ago Now wanna start saving for a new redmi phone. Should I stick with my rn4 or upgrade to r5 or r5p. Upgrade to Redmi note 5 if the cash is there, otherwise you can settle for Redmi 5 plus. Sorry for the loss. |

maclawrence02: Good evening everyone. Pls I'm new here, I've been reading the comments here on this thread, so far I've been really impressed by when level of phones and specs that xaiomi is offering, that was why I waisted no time when I saw a fairly used mi note 4 lte (that's the model I saw) at a reasonable price (30k) but so far I have a lfeeling that the phone I bought is a fake or clone cos everything seems different from the reviews I've been reading about expecially performance wise, the specs says 3gig ram and 64gig internal memory but the phone lags a lot when I'm playing games or browsing photos on Facebook. I have a 32gig backup from the memory card of my previous phone that was stolen (infinite note 3) when I tried to transfer the files to the mi note by it got to 4gig surprisingly the phone started showing not enough memory. The camera quality is very poor and the video records 3gp format. I just want to be sure if I got the wrong phone or if there is something I'm not doing right. Pls I'm waiting. Clone, it's smelling like 100% clone. Download cpu z and screenshot for us to see. The name of the phone doesn't exist and the status bar the 4G signal makes it even more suspicious. Please snap both front and back of the phone, and have you got any update notification so far? |

tmogba4: - Infinix Note 4 Pro would have been the best but the Processor is just 1.3GHz Octacore. - L9+ would have been another suite for you but the Front Camera is 5MP - What I would recommend you get and overlook it's 4000mAH battery is Infinix Zero 4...See the spec... It can make man run madt.
Camera: 20.7MP/13MP Screen Resolution: 1080x1920 Processor: Decacore (2.1GHz Dualcore + 1.4GHz Quadcore + 1.85GHz Octacore = 5.35GHz Decacore) RAM: 4GB ROM: 32GB (expandable to 128GB via Memory Card) Graphics: 368ppi
Bros... Infinix Zero 4 Plus is a goal!!! Jump on it if and whenever you can.
My number is 08136495877...I can recommend something else for you if you wish. Where did you get that calculation from? . |

fibonacci2526: So I have used the Redmi 5 as my daily driver for the past 48hrs and all have got good vibes with it. You wouldn't know it's a 720p resolution as colours reproduction and viewing angles aren't that bad tbh. The phone is much more compact ,narrower than my oneplus 5 and I could use it conveniently with one hand which was a surprise given how small my hands are. lolll.
Battery life is surprisingly good for a 3300mah capacity and I got a 7hr SOT on a my first full battery cycle even when I left Lagos and move to another state with terrible network,it still did fairly well. I used it for social medias, browsing, office mails, streamed videos. The idle time is also good as I lost only 2% battery overnight.
Camera quality isn't bad too, really took some nice pictures but for the sake of privacy wouldn't be able to upload any on here.The details are sharp and all when you zoom in.
Sd450 is really good, coming from a device with sd835 I was pleasantly surprised at how much it fared. Though occasionally it lags when using Twitter but it really did well with its snappiness being a "entrylevel-budget" chipset.
CONS;
I found out that the device doesn't play well with Nova launcher as the navigation bar was still white after using it as my default launcher so I was forced to remain with the system launcher.
No quick reply for the Redmi 5 yet but hopefully we get the 9.5x update soon.
If you are on a budget and you like compact devices, would advise you to go for this device. I really like what xiaomi did with this one and it's a winner in my book. Your love for black sha, no wonder dem go still dey confuse ur gender . U don put 6D screen guard on dat one too abi? Considering your Nova launcher ish, even wen u customise notification panel from miui theme app, na still white e dey give out? |

goldtooth: i dont know if it is called sim card lock, but i understand that when a xiaomi phone with mi account and cloud lock is stolen, even if the phone is flashed with another ROM, it will be useless except they enter the MI account password. More like Apple Cloud lock. That is what i am referring to. That is what i want on this new Redmi 4a i got Then lock it from Mi cloud if you haven't, that's all you need to do. |

goldtooth: Pls how do i set up Mi cloud lock on my phone properly. My first redmi 4a was stolen and i got another one. Now i was thinking i had it set up, but when i swap sims and enter the correct pin the phone opens and works well with a new sim. I feel pained now because i felt i set it up well on the stolen phone. How do i set it up so that when the sim is changed the phone becomes unusable.
CC: grandmufti, Fibonacci2526 and gptech Did you lock the stolen phone after the incident? Was your Mi Account logged in? |

Sprintx24: My Ogas, I bring you all greetings. I am having a serious issue with my Redmi Note 4x that needs urgent attention and solution. I updated my phone to MIUI 9.5.4 nightly 3 days ago. After the update, the phone started misbehaving, switching off automatically whenever the message in the screenshot below comes up. The phone freezes and turns of when I press cancel or the report button. This evening it got even worse, right now, the home button and the menu button or minimise buttons are no longer working. I mean, they don't respond anymore. Please I need help. An advice or directives on what to do will be highly appreciated. I am just so frustrated at the moment. Please kindly help. Thanks everyone.. Attached is the picture of the error I have been getting since the update. These two buttons refusing to work is making the usage of this phone miserable...
Also, how can I remove the mi browser as my default browser? If you have not rebooted which I doubt do it now, if problem persists, copy your important files to an external memory and do a factory reset. Nightly updates can be very unstable and should be done if you are ready for experiments. If you eventually get it fixed, don't hesitate to update to the next available release rom. For the browser, go to settings - Installed apps - browser - clear default. |
