Very bad deal, you sold a MI 5 for 40k? , I think you over-pleased her. Sell the phone for like 60-65k and add up the rest, that's a better deal.

China rom is more advanced than Global rom, only thing some persons consider an issue is that some apps are there preinstalled which you don't need, and some are in Chinese, it doesn't come with Google apps and playstore but you can install those in 5 mins, apart from that, it's the best miui has to offer.

I enter this fantasy store today.. Pple that ordered fr global d seller sent dem china rom and explain d problem they might have encountered if he flashed unofficial rom.. Now dats a good seller.
The only tin wey go save dat dreami store na if as i receive d fone d bootloader de unlocked.

Another catch b say many fake roms, u go fit flash the official rom from the updater app without issues, ask Dreami if e dey possible like dat with dis fake rom, otherwise, hmm.

Tried to talk to the seller when protection was running out.... that I haven't seen the earphone but I was answered by automated machine twice. Got to find out later a lot people had the same issue....about him not answering. Was fortunate to get the earphone after protection ran out. Not about to waste my time trying to talk to him again

Then use the phone as it is for now, until you get more feedback from people. Meanwhile, were you notified that a fake rom will be flashed by the seller?

Don't think there is anything you can do to fix the broken button. You can just let the seller know what happened, just in case.....

Don't panic, the phone comes with Chinese rom from the factory, you can flash China developer rom on it through the updater app without the need to unlock bootloader. Tell the seller he shouldn't flash any rom on it.

Try this :
Settings - Language and Input - Text to speech output - Tap the settings icon beside Google Text to speech Engine - Settings for Google Text to speech Engine - then disable everything. After this, go back once - Install Voice data - English (United States)-Cancel the download.

Simply tell seller you want the official Chinese rom if you are scared.

Even the reported poor battery is not actually poor, not just up to what many persons are now used to. Some persons updated and have experienced good battery backup.

You can use the pull down menu, quick ball, or the normal power button and volume up combo. For those in developer rom, there is the alternative to use any of the navigation buttons

Try another OTG or connect your OTG to a PC and see if you'll be asked to repair it, if you are prompted to then repair, otherwise, let's consider it to be a bug. I have connected the my OTG to Redmi note 4x, Mi Max, and Mi Max 2 all running Android 7 both stable and developer roms, there was no issue whatsoever.
