Paxziano: In all honesty, I want to be on an official rom so I can be updating the fone. But I am worried as I don't know how to flash the rom or unlock bootloader and all those other technical terms used here. Is der a way I can be helped? I stay in lag. I won't mind meeting the person in any location of the persons' choice to assist me with it
Cc @grandmufti, Gptech, bily I will say just be patient for now until there is a more general and easier way of going about it. |

GrandMufti: Or you can wait for the snapdragon version. The note 3 mtk version is still on lollipop, while the special edition and pro edition are on MM. Mind you, the mtk version was the first to launch. We don't know for sure if the note 4 will toe the same path You can say that again. Even the Redmi note 2 had similar fate. We can almost certainly expect same for Redmi note 4. |

bily: there's absolutely nothing wrong in informing people about possible problems they may encounter when trying to flash their devices.
on the other hand, telling people to "avoid a device" and saying the device is "not a finished product", just because some vendors installed vendor roms and some people are finding it difficult to go back to official rom is a bit far reaching.
there are a lot of vendors out there that install official roms or state the type of rom installed on a device eg xiaomi online store, so you know before buying. its also even possible to chat up a seller and request that you want an untouched device with the offical rom.
so if xiaomi makes a product, puts an official rom on it, and some vendors remove the rom and put thier own, how does that make the product an unfinished product?
the same thing happened when redmi note 3 snapdragon first came out. a lot of poeple where bricking their phones trying to revert to offical roms from vendor roms. there are so many unbricking guides for redmi note 3 on the internet. does that make redmi note 3 an unfinished product too? even till date as we speak, some redmi note 3 phones still ships with vendor roms from china, and till date, people are still bricking their redmi note 3 phone trying to change to official rom. it doesnt take anything away from the device
you are doing a great job on this thread and im sure even if people dont say it out loud, they do appreciate and respect your contributions. keep it up and keep it real.
if anyone here has bought the redmi 4, there's no need to be scared, its a good device. once its popular and out of china, global roms will be available and you can flash to to your hearts desire. Great! Very nice and true! Very good device, no need to be scared, even many of those sites with complaints from some users are filled with newbies, you won't get any device if you follow their comments. Learned my lesson in the days of Sony Ericsson versus Nokia, you have to see many bad reviews and comments about Sony Ericsson c902 like buttons falling off and all that. I took the risk and after about 7 years now, phone still rocks, should be one of the greatest java phones ever. |

Rafob: Is it true when you are on 4g one can not receive or make call pls answer to the questions. I mean with 4g Sim. Yes I believe, it is only possible to make calls on 4G if our network provider provides VOLTE support, and your phone also supports VOLTE. I think we have a long way to go regarding LTE. |

Mi 5.. now has the official Global version... I prefer the 4GB RAM 128 GB ROM Version to the mi 5s or 5s plus Yes, I prefer the 128gig rom version of the mi5 with 5.5inch display, but it has been elusive. |

And which is better between mi5 and 5s. Mi5s is better than mi5 in all aspects, in fact am tempted to say far better. |

quivah: okay wait, now I'm worried!! what does the emboldened means?
cc grandmufti Forget about that, there is no mistake anywhere, the most important thing is getting your device to the post office nearest to you, which you already did. When your phone arrives they will either call you or send an sms. Of course you already have a phone number with which they can contact you. |

Stormyweather: thanks alot mehn. whats the camera and battery life like? does any of their phones come with air gestures?. also what of this redmi 4 pro? No air gesture. You can't go wrong with redmi note 3 pro since you are coming from s5, camera is not so fantastic in low light, but should be on par with the s5. As for battery, you have a solid performer here, you will be wowed. If you want better performance in camera and all buy mi5 but no expansion for storage. |

joesmarty: Difference between Access and Gtbank dollar rate is just #5 and even if you multiply #5 by 200 is just 1k. When Access bank limit a month is $200 against Gtbank $100 so you avoid the stress of using two card to fund before paying and For me access bank has more advantage than Gtbank. My opinion sha. Meanwhile my latest updates on my redmi note 4 pro. You are correct bro, Access is far better here, so many persons have had issues trying to combine cards, especially with new Aliexpress accounts. |

quivah: unofficial ROM official ROM when it comes out why does this seem to taste bitter to me Ok, since you nr like bitter leaf, kuku buy potatoes. It seems screen size is not a problem to you, so get others with stable roms available. You can also consider the redmi 3s prime. |
