Nna you're an epitome of bad customer relationship, everytime repairpalng this, repairpalng that, them do you, was about ordering a Redmi note 5 battery from you but now I'm weak.

I had to stop someone from creating a thread a few months back, calling him out for selling a fake battery to him. Was shocked when I saw the battery, it wasn't even a fit, there was a huge gap and the battery couldn't power on the phone, phone was just bootlooping. I had to convince him that the battery just couldn't power up the phone, because he was sure his phone was gone. Problem got solved after buying another battery from Macbeyland. Beware!

I don't get. My phone was working fine prior to this update and it initially showed 275mb, that was why I tried to update, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered

The next update will very likely be miui 12, and yours won't be up to 1 gig. If anyone successfully updates to your current version with 275mb, the next update with definitely be over 1 gig. In other words, there's no escaping it, either you do it now or later, you'll spend the same data.

Same here... Though mine connected via wireless and cast on two occasions but it doesn't hold connection any longer. My phone would see the TV but it keeps connecting with holding up.

Clear all running apps, reboot your phone, turn the TV off and on from the mains socket and try again.

The TV shows up on the wireless display option but never connects, and the Cast option never finds the TV.

So I have no idea what's to blame here.

I used to have such issues with my TV, until I played with network settings on the TV, maybe you should try same.

It might also be down to the optimization of the android TV Chromecast system.

That's a weird possibility though.

Tried to mirror on RN9s using the MiUI Cast option, it doesn't work.
Cast works directly on a Nokia 2, Stock Android 7.1
Mirroring works on RN5 Pro, MiUI 11 (Android 9) via a third party app called Wireless Display for MiUI but needs to be connected to a network.

I think the feature is broken on MiUI 11 devices running on Android 10.

Works fine here with the Redmi note 9s, both cast option and wireless display. But, is there no wireless display option on your Redmi Note 5? Wonder why downloading a third party app for that.

Then it's the TV. Tried it with a TCL smart TV and it doesn't work unless you use the dedicated app and are on the same WiFi connection. It's running Android 9 (TV edition) and has Chromecast built in. I don't know if that's the reason why the same network connection is needed.

If you are on miui 12 and Android 10 already, can you try with another device either on Android 10 only or miui 12 only, doesn't need to be a Xiaomi phone.

Both the tv and casting device doesn't need to be connected to wifi work.I was using it like that with ease.Maybe it's how hisense works sha.

It works without an external network for any TV, tried with Hisense, LG, and Panasonic Tvs. Can't say if it's MIUI 12 along with Android 10 issue. Tried it last night with the Redmi note 9s after I saw your comment, it worked without an external WiFi connection.

I hope nr be cloud you go snap? . Well, you should note that pictures don't come out nice in cloudy environments. Can you upload a sample of the pics you took for us to see? Ensure the camera is smudge free before snapping always, you can clean it with a soft piece of cloth.

It's not a big deal, you don't even need a pc, just follow the steps below:
Download the rom from miui..com, then copy the rom into the internal memory of your device in a folder you should name downloaded_rom, then go to the updater app, tap the 3 dots on the top right of your screen, choose update package, the scroll down to the folder, 'downloaded_rom ', and tap on the rom. Update with begin automatically, don't stop it till it's completed, takes around 15 mins. Ensure you switch on data during the process.

Someone should pleas help, I don't know what's happening my phone will off on it own, and today i long press it back the battery from from 44% on to 85%. I don't know what causing this. House pleas help.

Update your phone if there's any pending update. If you are on the latest version, download the rom and flash manually.
