mancheeutd: More more confusion...ok do I just add 16k to my 100k and go for mi9t or wait for RN8. Get the Mi 9T and have rest of mind, no need to wait unless you are on a budget, it's a superior device in every way. |

Reddington: Ordered Redmi 7 for my Infinix friend... Arrived yesterday after 15 days. He's absolutely loving it. Personally noted a few things tho during unboxing (which I made sure my fairly noob friend didn't notice, to avoid dampening his joy). I use Redmi Note 5pro, and I can confidently say RN5pro is a better phone, both in display and support, having felt both phones. I'm not a fan of notch which happens to be the only design feature missing in RN5 but present in R7. Both phones have same camera pixels, but RN5 produces sharper images... And some other slight differences like absence of front flash & notification light in R7. RN7 has software advantage tho - comes with pie OS out of the box. RN5 - Oreo. I hope this info will be helpful in the future for prospective Xiaomites who may find theirselves torn between RN5pro and R7. I hope we haven't forgotten that the Redmi note series are higher than the Redmi series? The note series even older ones pack superior hardwares especially with display. There's no Redmi series with full HD display save for the abandoned Redmi 4 prime ( looking at fibonacci2526 ). As for camera, even the Redmi note 4x can hold its own against the Redmi 7 both on gcam). As someone already stated, theirs a tiny notification light underneath the phone, you won't see it if you already installed any tampered glass with black borders. For support, the note series naturally get better treatment, no surprises here. |

2kurupt: Avoid anything Mediatek from Xiaomi, especially when you intend to use it for long term. Else "no update" will become a greeting for you. The Redmi note 8 and 8 pro remind me of the Redmi note 4 SD and mtk versions, the note 4 mtk had the faster Soc also, we know the end of the story, maybe part 2 of the movie is on the making . |

fibonacci2526: Exactly, afaik we have people using different phone brands on this thread and still give constructive criticisms . Many people would even prefer someone in need of a phone to look in another direction and other than xiaomi. This guy acts as if OneUi is the be-all, nor be that same OneUi ni? KngGezy, unlike many other threads, we have people using virtually every top brand including Oneplus, Samsung, LG, Realme, Meizu, Apple, even LEeco.. Many here don't just speak without experience, don't need to blow trumpets, but I find that you and some other Samsung users have not even touched a Xiaomi phone before! You sound like one who just discovered how good Samsung is after suffering in the hands of Transsion for years. I wonder how you speak of what you haven't seen or touched. You already praise Oneui as the best for instance when you haven't used others. Remember as a kid, until you visit other schools you'll think yours is the biggest . |

okikiosibodu: I see "Googles services framework". You have any idea what that is about?
Also, do you knw any stock ROM that can permit movement of apps to mmc on RN7? Google service framework, don't bother about it, it's embedded to your system. As for moving apps to mmc, the only available option you can get will render your mmc useless without your phone.. |

When one now starts to use the app, the data size increases rapidly . steppin: I can't upload pictures or videos on any site from my phone. It keeps closing the app and re-opening it again. I've tried Opera, UC mini, Chrome, CM browser and Mozilla and it's still the same thing. I've got about 7gb of free space in my phone. I've tried all the tips I got online, but it's still the same. This is my first time of using xiaomi and I've not encountered this on any of the other phones I used prior to this. Someone said its the intensive "ram management in their Ui", but if their ram management won't let me do anything, what's the point? Btw, I use Redmi 7. It's not about ram management being aggressive or not, it's particular to your unit otherwise you would have seen tons of complaints about this here and on other platforms. I bet if you check Google for similar issue, you'll likely see none. Secondly, when making your submission, there's no point trying to make it sound as if it's an issue with Xiaomi phones, won't do any good, you can see screenshots from many users all over the pages of this thread, tells you that it's an issue with your phone. Ok, let's try to check for what's wrong, have you rebooted your phone all this while? |
