Kelvo002: Please which of this is better in terms of battery, camera and ram management? It's for a lady just help with your honest opinion before I order The note 5 is a better device in virtually every way, plus the bigger ram really makes it even sweeter. Cameras are better too with the note 5 but..... Since its for a lady, go with the Redmi 7, it's more pretty, trendy, and Gcam can be installed just by downloading the apk which makes the camera better than the default one of the note 5 in many cases. The Redmi note 7 actually manages ram well eventually on the 3gig ram variant plus, the Redmi 7 has a dedicated SD card slot. |

KngGezy: Btw who needs IR blaster when normal remote is "readily available". Its just an unnecessary attraction as i said in my other comment. Although it can prove to be useful in some situations. I do, can't live without it currently as even my led lights use remote control, let me leave it here, I believe the story is same for many. Let me poke you now, many of you Samsung users are hypocrites! If we turn the tablet now like, Samsung devices come with IR blaster while other phones don't, you'll be singing a different song already, how the IR blaster is the best thing since eba and egusi soup , or if Samsung devices came with unlocked bootloader and use Gcam effortlessly, una for don kill other phone users tey tey! Trust me, I know you wish for these things in your hearts, it's not a bad thing to wish for good things though but, DON'T HATE GOOD THINGS BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE THEM. We know how many Samsung users sang about the IR blaster those days and talked about the tweaking prowess of the S3 and co, the Internet don't forget . |

KngGezy: I specifically said Iris recognition is better than facial recognition. I didn't in any way say that iris recognition is fool proof. I only implied that iris recognition is less susceptible to hacking.
Note that even finger print scanner, password and all measures of security can be hacked and fooled. What makes one better than the other is its ease of access. In other words how easy its to fool a security system. Facial recognition is the worst And you can check iris and fingerprint are one of the safest in the world So what are you trying to say? In your previous post, you tried to justify the slow face recognition on the A50 as claimed by a user to the use of Iris recognition. But even Samsung says its facial recognition . Get an S9, you'll see the Iris scanner, it's no longer there on current Samsung devices.

KngGezy: Not at all, thats one of the reasons why i left Infinix.
Thats why when i saw this comment i was laughing. I wanted to comment that theres a difference between face unlock and iris unlock. But every time i try to express my views. It will be seen as an attack against the device/ brand
On my previous hot7 and hot6 if you close your eyes. The phone will still unlock.
But on this my Samsung you cant do such. Your eyes have to be open. If not the phone will not unlock . It goes a long way in protecting the integrity of the phone Can we say the A50 is more secured than the s10? https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/03/09/samsung-galaxy-s10-face-unlock-can-be-fooled-by-a-photo-video-or-even-your-sister/

KngGezy: Sorry to interrupt but if Xiaomi is this good after almost a decade of entering the Nigerian market. Why is it still struggling to gain ground? This is despite the supposed wacky processors put into transsion devices. They keep on selling. And in the global market is still below even OPPO.
It seems like it is only on Nairaland that this brand is popular. And these phones are so good. If I catch u give anybody advice for phone again ehn! And u even get phone to just Google smh . |

2kurupt: Point of correction, their notch and hole screen designs are so 2017. Need to say that before some people will turn it into a topic for the weekend
Modern screen designs should be tilting towards having the most screen real estate while maintaining same or even smaller body size i.e. Higher screen to body ratio in a smaller form factor. Anything short of that is just a regression in my opinion.
You mentioned iPhone 11, ain't it a shame that they still have that horrible looking unibrow abi cyclops notch 3 years running now Hehehe, hide notch faya! Phone go come blike 16:9 screen. To me that hide notch na useless feature sef, you either make notched phone or full screen phone, simple . |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 2:52pm On Sep 12, 2019 |
2kurupt: Am just not feeling the Note 8 pro and Note 8 maybe coz of the notch. Any smartphone with any iota of notch is so 2017 so far as am concerned. Whether they call it eyebrow, dew drop, water drop etc I no do.
I expect Xiaomi to release more similar screen designs like that of the Mi9t, now that is truly an updated design language. Naxo ooo, anything wen obstruct uniformity of screen na no go area for me too. |
